Whether you're horseback riding, fishing, boating, hiking, biking on the Wabash County Trail, seeing a show at the Honeywell Center or just simply...want to get away, the Carriage House is awaiting your arrival!

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Enjoy wildlife, kayaking, fishing, campfires, horses, hiking and games. We also have a sauna and a hot tub available on the premises There is Roku TV and WIFI in the cabin. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the swing or rocking chairs and listen to the night sounds or chat with friends. You can also enjoy a campfire and cook over the open fire on our tripod grill. We have 2 other cabins and our cozy apartment listed.

Marjory’s Cottage-Charming Historic Home-Wabash IN

Established in January 2025, Marjory’s Cottage House honors the rich heritage and enduring spirit of the home originally built in 1951 by Floyd L. Erdahl. Located on Vernon Street, the house was constructed from a Gamble Store Home Construction Kit at a cost of just $5,000—a testament to postwar ingenuity and craftsmanship. Today, Marjory’s Cottage House stands not only as a place of warmth and memory but also as a tribute to the legacy of a family deeply rooted in the fabric of its community.

This home has has such a special place in my heart! Built in 1910, it is full of character and charm. My parents call this space home in the summer months, so there are touches of family living throughout. Warm & inviting, this home offers a welcoming and thoughtfully designed stay (Updated bathroom Feb 2026). Located just up the street from our charming downtown, you’ll have access to dining, shopping, local parks, and River Walk. 2 addition separate properties avail on property if needed.

For anyone seeking a larger city, Fort Wayne is a 45 minutes' drive, where you can visit the Zoo, Theatres and Botanical Conservatory.

Peru, Indiana, is know for its Cole Porter Festival and Circus City Festival as well as Grissom Air Force Base and Miami County Museums. We are a mile from the entrance of the Nickel Plate Bicycle Trail that runs north 20 miles to Rochester and south 20 miles to Kokomo.
