“Romantic retreat. Quiet recharge and repeat. My husband and I came to Venice for the Carnival festivities. At the end of the day, we were appreciative to escape the crowds and noise to retreat to Daniela’s home to recharge and repeat. Our stay at this AirBnB was beyond our expectations. Daniela met us at the ferry stop and walked us to her home. Along the way, she pointed out local grocery stores and recommended restaurants. Upon reaching her home, Daniela confirmed we understood how to enter/exit the secure building. She thoroughly explained where we could find extra blankets, towels, etc should we need them. She graciously stocked Italian snacks, fresh citrus fruit, and a variety of beverages. Daniela’s home is well-prepared to meet any guests expectations. If you have forgotten any toiletries, such as shampoo, make-up remover, shower caps and the like, she has you covered. If you are in the area for sightseeing, there are numerous travel guides and maps available for use. If you are here for a getaway or romance, the spectacular view shown in the pictures is accurate. Numerous books about European history and beautiful Italian art are displayed throughout the home. Approximately, 100 CD’s of music from classical to the Rolling Stones are available and/or music from the Smart tv ( which also has several language channels). Thank you Daniela for sharing your home with us. Helpful hints for others that we either learned while in Venice or researched before arrival. 1. We found that learning some basic Italian phrases were appreciated. 2. Grocery stores are called Poco’s. 3. The ferries are called Vaparetto ‘s and is Venice’s main public transportation. During our visit they operated 24h and we found them to be the least expensive. 4. Gondola rides are 80,00 euro for 35 minutes. 5. Venice is full of cobble stone streets. Ve”

“Wonderful hosts! They gave very thorough directions to their place (we would have been lost otherwise) and provided a detailed list of places to eat, things to do, and other recommendations--not to mention breakfast every morning, of course! Very kind and thoughtful too.”
Casa dei Nonni is a warm and welcoming house, the ideal place for families and couples who love the quietness and the fresh air that the mountain can offer. It's surrounded by green areas, including a wood with secular pines. Moreover there is a natural lake nearby the house: the best way to cope with the hot, summery weather, which is also suitable to ice-skate during winter time.
“If you open the door and let your gaze wander to the right from the living room and the terrace, you can see mountains and nature and the vastness. You can only see so much nature in travel reports. However, you should have a look for it. The kitchen is well equipped, as well as bathroom. The bedroom has a normal window and a roof window through which you can see the stars. Magnificent !! The whole apartment was very clean and nothing was missing. The highlight was the delicious heart-shaped cake Daniela baked us, thanks again. There is a pizzeria in the immediate vicinity, which we did not visit. The time was just too short. Lago de Lagolo can be reached on foot in a few minutes and is ideal for water lovers. In the garden there is a lounger and a deck chair and for Pastime is well taken care of. A table tennis table and rackets are available. If you want to grill, you can use the brick grill. We did it and the food was delicious. The whole family gave us a warm welcome. We also learned Fabrizio, the Know son who was a very nice conversation partner. If you like to eat honey, Stefano should buy his homemade honey. It is so delicious and I regret not having bought more glasses. The water is very good in taste and extremely fresh. We like to come back someday.”
