Central Richmond Living in a Victorian Apartment

The apartment is on the first floor (UK 'first floor' meaning it's above the ground-level floor) of a three story house on a very quiet street but only a few minutes walk into the heart of Richmond. Guests can utilize the entire apartment and the contents. I am happy to interface directly with my guests, or I am happy to do it remotely. I live in Richmond, so I can also be on hand if needed. The apartment is an easy five-minute walk from Richmond Centre. A mix of high-class boutiques and brand-name stores are found next to cafes, tea houses, gastropubs, bars, and award-winning restaurants. Transport links connect to central London. All services are safe, clean and efficient. Richmond Station is only a few minutes walk away (where taxis are always available), and provides three services: the traditional London Underground (25 – 30 mins into the centre), The London Overground (25 mins to North London / Hampstead), and regular train services either into Waterloo (20 mins) or out of London to wherever you wish to go! There are buses going south towards Kingston, and north towards Kew Gardens. The 391 and the 65 bus routes will take you smack through the centre of Richmond and Kew all the way across Kew Bridge to Chiswick and beyond. If you are in the mood for a stroll, Richmond Park is 10 minutes walk away and the river is also about 10 minutes - great for a wander along in summer while sampling the pubs and bars. Richmond bridge takes you across to the charming St Margaret's area. The neighbours in the apartments below and above are very nice folks, so please do be mindful of them, particularly late at night when going in and out of the apartment!

Self-contained Annex Studio Flat

The accommodation consists of a double bedroom with French doors opening onto a nice big garden. There is a fully fitted kitchen and a small bathroom with walk-in shower. Broadband, TV, fridge, washing machine and drier are all included. It is about 50 yards from Egham station which has regular trains to London, the journey taking about 40 minutes. The train goes to Waterloo Station which is very close to the London Eye and Westminster, with Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Trafalgar Square a short walk away. Heathrow Airport is 5 or 6 miles away. Egham is a small town, but it has some historic interest in that the Magna Carta was signed at Runnymede down the road by the river in 1215. Not far away is Windsor castle and Eton (where princes William and Harry, and David Cameron went to school). There is also some lovely countryside around and lovely walks.

Our TW2 Apartment is located at The Old Gas Works Converted 8 years ago, the second floor apartment has a secure gate and a lift for easy access and a staircase. 1 parking space and Bike Store High ceilings in the living area and stylish and contemporary furnishings. New heating has been installed and a hotel style bed and linen will mean that you'll be super comfortable. It’s part of our house but has its own keypad operated door.

A short walk to the rugby stadium and the village of St Margaret's, ca. 30 min drive from London Heathrow (without traffic). Thames Ditton is a pretty village located close to Hampton Court, Surbiton, and Kingston Upon Thames and 30 minutes by train to London Waterloo. Go Boat hire is a minutes walk and the slipway to the Thames is opposite the house if you have your own paddle board/canoe.

Grace Cottage is an annex on the side of our home. Access is via a locked side gate and then you will need to cross the main house patio area to get to the separate entrance to the flat. It is set up with the bedroom and living area being in one space, with a mezzanine floor where a single mattress is situated. There is a fully kitted kitchen with hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, sink and dishwasher. Shower room with basin, toilet and shower.
