The smaller separate cottage hosts the relaxing king bedroom, private bath, and laundry. If you have small children, please be aware that our property has some steep slopes. The main house contains a master queen bedroom with private french doors onto the deck, a bunkroom to sleep 3, a vaulted greatroom with huge stone fireplace, comfy kitchen with all the modern amenities, a stone sunroom with dining room and reading nook, double vanity bathroom with sunken shower, and a loft retreat for 65" 4K TV and games! A guest house (included in your reservation) right behind contains a master king bedroom, private bath, and laundry room...and a charming porch swing overlooking the river. Family adventures, romantic getaways, meditative retreats. Envision walking through the woods up behind the cabin, maybe even finding the hidden gazebo! Our log cabin nestled in the “High Country” of North Carolina has been in the family since 1979 when my grandparents, looking for a place to retire, moved here after falling in love with the area. The cabin was originally built in Virginia but was moved to Valle Crucis in the 1950s. Our dream has been to turn it into a peaceful mountain get-away for people looking for a break from the busyness of life to enjoy some time in the valley to rest, relax and explore the area.

The exterior showcases a charming small structure with a black wooden façade, accented by a colorful triangular mountain design above the door. A welcoming wooden door is framed by symmetrical windows, with a small potted plant positioned at the entrance on a wooden porch.

The Bitterroot Barn is unique small structure with a queen size bed, two twin size beds in the loft. Built by Gary from the show "Mountain Men" on History Channel, it has a Full bath, kitchenette, Roku TV, Wifi, and a Bluetooth Surround Soundbar. There is a gas fire pit, small grill on the porch. If you are looking to experience what a nice tiny home feels like, we highly recommend visiting the Bitterroot Barn. We are less than 7 minutes from downtown Boone.

Blueberry Hill- Unique A-Frame Cabin near Boone!

The A-Frame on Blueberry Hill is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cabin that sits on 5 acres made up of rolling hills, 2 small ponds & of course its namesake; a Blueberry orchard. In addition to the king & queen bedrooms, there is an upstairs loft area with a queen bed adjacent to the bathroom, as well as a recently renovated basement with a set of bunk beds and an additional queen bed. We also have a new hot tub, propane grill and large outdoor deck.

A rustic cabin with a wooden exterior and a metal roof is set among lush greenery. A spacious front porch with chairs invites relaxation. Surrounding trees and natural landscape create a serene environment, while a gravel area in front provides easy access.
