Come and stay in our beautifully finished, tin shepherds hut at the bottom of our garden. We are located in the rolling countryside with extensive views over the vale of York. After a day of exploring this AONB, there’s nothing like cooking tea over the fire pit or wood pellet pizza oven followed by a dip under the stars in our rustic hot tub. Fall into a fresh clean bed and wake up to the sound of the dawn chorus. Our bathroom barn provides all your needs for a morning freshen up!See you soon.

Herriot Country peaceful retreat

A tranquil rural gem of a cottage. The Stables has all the character & charm you would expect from a Yorkshire Stone dwelling, but with all the warmth & mod cons of a luxurious quiet retreat. The upstairs 'hayloft' bedroom has characterful sloping ceilings. (6ft 4 max) and downstairs the open plan space provides a beautifully equipped kitchen, dining area & relaxing lounge with a sofa, which opens out into a comfy bed for those who prefer to remain on the ground floor, looking over the garden.

Reconnect and wake up into nature at this unforgettable escape. Secluded treehouse with everything you need to soothe and inspire. Self cater, arrange meals provided by your host (a professional chef), or try one of the many eateries in town. Shops nearby. Your own private bathroom is situated a few yards away in the main house. Surrounded by scenic walks and just 10 miles from York’s historic centre, it’s ideal for exploring. Helmsley’s lovely market town is close by too. Perfect for couples or small families—well-behaved dogs are warmly welcomed.

Stunning rural shepherds hut

Located in the stunning Howardian Hills, this is a peaceful and romantic location. A perfect all year round escape. You park your car and the hut is a 5 minute walk from our house- make sure you pack suitable footwear. We can transport your luggage to the hut. The hut has cooking facilities (oven and a hob), there is also a fire pit for barbecues and a picnic table for outdoor dining. You have exclusive use of a hot tub which is right next to the hut.

The Retreat

The Retreat is set in a rural location and has lots of original features with a modern feel. With ample off road parking and close to the Stillington-Easingwold road its the perfect base to come back to after a visit to the many local attractions. The market town of Easingwold is 2 miles away and the City of York is 12 miles. The North York moors are close to hand and if you fancy venturing further you have the coast and the Yorkshire dales
