The apartment in the countryside is located on the upper floor of a historic farmhouse with a huge natural garden directly on the field and forest. From the spacious kitchen/dining/living area view of the garden and village. The sleeping area for 4-6 people consists of 2 bedrooms with double beds and a second living/play room with sleeping accommodations for 2 people (opens up the 2 bedrooms). For 8 people, another bedroom with a double bed (12 sqm) is added. Spacious toilet/bathroom area (16 sqm) with shower and tub.

We live in the countryside with lots of greenery and fresh air and free spirit and are open to guests. The bake house, with traditional furnishings, wood-burning stove, sleeping loft and completely timeless comfort, is located separately on the property. Next to the residential building (40 m away) is the modern bathhouse for the exclusive use of our guests. In our house, we read a lot, philosophize, drink good wine and take care of the essentials in life, purely minimalist! Adventure instead of luxury.

The location is ideal for anyone who appreciates peace and quiet, nature, swimming lakes and natural surroundings. The apartment is very quiet and is barrier-free, has bed linens and towels. Pets by arrangement. Just around the corner are Homberg (Efze) with the Hohenburg, the cathedral town of Fritzlar, the Edersee, the Singliser See, the Silbersee and many other beautiful lakes and nature reserves. Our accommodation is located in the middle of Germany, close to Kassel and surrounded by nature. You will love it because of the heavenly tranquility, the gateway to the forest and yet only 20 km away from Kassel by car or tram. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, families (with kids), and big groups. Unless they are uncontrollable fighting dogs, animals are welcome to us and regularly feel very comfortable.

Especially around the Nationalpark Kellerwald-Edersee.

Vacation at Gut Sauerburg

Our manor with our animals: sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, cats and our dog Elli is only 5 km from the A7 / Malsfeld exit & yet in an absolutely secluded location in the middle of a nature reserve. You can use and explore our 20,000 m² lot. Not far from our farm you will find a unique vantage point. Here with us, the hare and fox say good night. There is also a trampoline/slide/sandbox/table tennis table …
