Welcome to the Ilmtal We rent our quietly located holiday home on the Ilmtal Cycling Trail. On 80 m² you will find a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom, as well as 3 bedrooms on the first floor. A small garden with terrace and grill is also included. From Nauendorf near Apolda to Jena it is about half an hour by car, the same to the former cultural capital of Weimar. The climatic health resort of Bad Sulza, with brine, thermal baths and spa clinic, is only 15 minutes away by bus or car.

Late Gothic house from 1519

The late Gothic house from 1519 is the oldest, preserved residential building in the Untermhaus district & was very elaborately restored & renovated in 4 years. The former building ruin has become a small gem. Particular emphasis was placed on the expansion with ecological building materials, such as clay & lime, clay colors. Many old historical components were reinstalled. During the dismantling work, another hand-painted approx. 500-year-old plank ceiling was discovered.

A scenic view of the Thüringer Meer can be seen from a rocky ledge. Lush green forests surround a winding river, with a person standing at the edge, gazing at the landscape. Clear blue skies and distant hills contribute to the natural beauty of the area.
