Here, you can still enjoy the wonderful tranquility and the beauty of the old village of Giethoorn. Unfortunately not suitable for infants/children from 0 to 8.

The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Frisian Museum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

This lovely apartment, located on the first floor, has beautiful views over the countryside, is right on the water and offers plenty of privacy. Through the front door, you enter a spacious hall where you walk up the stairs and enter the apartment. Through the hallway, you reach the bedroom with a comfortable double box spring bed. Opposite the bedroom is the toilet with the spacious bathroom next to it. At the end of the hallway is the spacious cozy living room with kitchen and also two sleeping places.

The Waddendijk is within walking distance (1.5 km) and in the village (1 km) is the renowned Pizzeria Pingjum. Studio Pekelvisch consists of a simple space on the ground floor and a sleeping loft above. Compact, sturdy furnished with many old building materials. Downstairs is often inhabited by the owners, but upstairs is a fully enclosed theater attic, which also serves fantastically as a living area. "De Mooie Liefde" Tiny house in Friesland.

Our "Beautiful Love" used to be the horse stable belonging to the centuries-old farm in which we live. In 2020, we transformed it together with a lot of love and passion into a tiny house with an old lived-in look. The green staircase leads upstairs to the beautiful loft with a 180x200 bed, with a double mattress and a double sheep wool duvet. Under the loft, you will find the beautiful bathroom and kitchen.
