Places to stay in Minneapolis
A queen pillow top bed sleeps two in your private room on the main floor of my home. Just four blocks to Victory Memorial Parkway, which links to the Grand Rounds bike/walk paths circling Mpls. It's a 10 minute drive to downtown Mpls, and easily accessible by multiple highways. I love that my neighborhood is diverse, centrally located, and home to many historic, well-maintained homes.
My home is a cozy and welcoming place for you to rest and recharge during your time in Minneapolis! You'll have your own room on the main floor, and use of the main floor bathroom, which will be shared with other Airbnb guests. The bedroom has a queen bed, nightstand, and closet. The bright bathroom has a shower and jetted tub.
I'm in the urban Cleveland neighborhood of NW Minneapolis. My block is comprised of single-family homes (one duplex on the corner), mostly homeowners and a couple of rentals. My neighborhood is diverse and safe--it will not look like a suburban neighborhood. You'll often hear the neighborhood kids playing on weekends and evenings in warmer months. My home is four blocks to the beautiful Victory Memorial Parkway, part of the Grand Rounds bike/walking paths that travel throughout Minneapolis, and which are unique in every season. I'm less than a mile from North Memorial Hospital (I do hear sirens and helicopters when enjoying my patio), and just a 10 minute drive from downtown Minneapolis. It's also easy to access multiple highways to get around the Twin Cities area. The neighborhood is very residential--I can't boast of a coffee shop on the corner :) The closest businesses are a few blocks away, and include the awesome Lowry Cafe, family-run North End Hardware, and a Subway, Family Dollar, and ALDI, as well as a post office. Minneapolis bus service is very reliable, but my home is probably a better fit if you will have a car while in town.
  • My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The place is in a safe neighborhood. Plenty of free parking. The room itself was very nice and there were free snacks in the kitchen which was greatly appreciated. We would absolutely stay again!

  • My wife and I have stayed in four rooms now at 300 Clifton. They are always hospitable, and the staff is so friendly. The place is full of charm and history, and it’s easily become our favorite place for an overnight trip to the cities! We highly recommend them!

  • Very comfortable place to stay. Great history of the house.

    Jonathan2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • The space is beautiful. Would definitely rent again if it was summer—the best hangout spots are on the beautiful porch, while the inside is a bit more formal/not the 'most' ideal for lounging around. Lots of history here! Great full kitchen.

    Cedar2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • If you enjoy history and beauty combined, this would be a great place for you to stay. We stayed in the carriage house and were quite comfortable. We even had a separate living area with a private entrance. Our room was clean and comfortable. The price and location is outstanding and AJ is an exceptional host because of his incredible knowledge of the house and the area during the early part of the 20th century. Great experience.

Easy parking Fast Uber/Lyft all times of day Close to parks, trails, and the river 2 miles from US Bank Stadium 2 miles from Target Field/Center 2.5 miles from the Convention Center 15 minutes from MSP airport
**** A special note about COVID-19 — as a host, your health and safety is my number one priority. I am very conscientious about bleaching/sterilizing every load of laundry, and sanitizing every surface, light switch, door handle, etc. in the house between guest stays. I want to reassure you that as a host, I’m doing everything I can to make sure you will have peace of mind during your stay. As of now, Minneapolis is not a major hotspot for Coronavirus, but being vigilant is still really important as we all work together to slow its spread. I look forward to hosting you! **** Welcome! This is your own private apartment -- the entire second level of what used to be a corner grocery store. Built in 1902, the space is super unique, comfortable, and modern, yet retains its historic and charming character. Located near downtown, the U of M, and the Mississippi river. Enjoy the spacious, open layout, take advantage of the beautiful private backyard, and explore the neighborhood! In the mornings, brew some locally roasted coffee or tea (we provide both) in the sunny kitchen, and have breakfast outside on the deck among the treetops overlooking the large, wildflower-filled private backyard, where, later in the day, you might decide to stroll down the spiral staircase to the yard and have a barbecue, or sit around the fire pit on a starry night with a drink. The apartment will sleep five people, but is most comfortable with two or three. I live nearby, and am always available by phone whenever you might need anything! ————— CHECK-IN ————— Upon arrival, you can let yourself in with the keypad lock -- we'll provide the code when you book. ————— BEDROOM ————— There is one bedroom, with plenty of room to hang up your clothes, and a super comfortable queen-sized memory-foam mattress with lots of pillows and a down comforter. There are bedside tables with lamps and outlets for your phones. The living room sofa is comfortable and can accommodate one person, and I can also provide a queen-sized self-inflating air mattress if needed. ————— BATHROOM ————— There is one bathroom with tub/shower, sink, toilet, plenty of fresh white towels and washcloths, a hairdryer, and complimentary shampoo/body wash. ————— KITCHEN ————— The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm -- convection oven and gas range, fridge, pots/pans/utensils/dishes, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, plenty of counter space, good knives, and a concrete rolling island. Just off the kitchen is a cool birch tree-painted room with a breakfast counter, which leads out to the second-story deck. ————— LIVING/DINING ROOM ————— The living area is open and light-filled, with lots of plants and art. There's a large sofa, a chaise lounge, and our custom made coffee/end tables. In the adjoining den, there is a desk, a sofa, and a large flat screen TV with all the streaming services and a great soundbar. ————— BACKYARD/DECK ————— You have your own private deck, and also access to the yard below via spiral staircase. The backyard is a special spot. Fully fenced in, it feels super private and a world away — plenty of decks, lounge spots, garden beds, and a fire pit for you to enjoy on a chilly evening with friends. It’s also a great area for photo shoots — weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, or anything else! ————— LAUNDRY ————— There is a washer and dryer in the unit, fully free and open for you to use at any time.
I know this neighborhood inside and out, and will provide you with my ultra-awesome, comprehensive neighborhood guide when you book :) The takeaway: you're in the epicenter of the best food, drink, coffee, art, and culture in town, walkable to most of it. If you're a beer fanatic, you're a stone's throw from over a dozen local breweries. You are within walking distance of three of Minneapolis’ most award-winning restaurants: - Hai Hai (a 5 min walk) - Popol Vuh (10 min walk) - Young Joni (15 min walk) When you venture out, you will find yourself in the heart of the Northeast Arts District -- a safe, charming residential neighborhood that is within 1-2 miles of coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and all manner of excellent restaurants, bars, and attractions, in addition to incredible local breweries, hundreds of artist studios, and more. Our street is a designated bikeway, among many others that cover the entire city. Minneapolis is one of the best biking cities in the country, and we provide maps and route advice to get you just about anywhere. We are close to the center of downtown, the Minneapolis chain of lakes, and Target Field (the new Twins stadium). The largest art crawl/festival in the nation, Art-a-Whirl, takes place directly in our neighborhood every May. Our street is a designated bikeway, among many others that cover the entire city. • Warm, sunny and inviting from the first step in the door, the apartment was super clean and well-appointed. Peter gave great tips for dining/shopping/etc. in and around the neighborhood. Definitely a stay-again!

  • Great spot and place to enjoy Minneapolis. Peter’s place is sunny, roomy and comfortable. He was very prompt with his communications.

    Amy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • If there was a swipe file for how to run an AirBnb, I'd steal Pete's gorgeous space & seamless process in a heartbeat. I'm a local to Minneapolis, and was looking for a space outside my home office for a friend & I to hunker down for a little weekend writer's retreat. After booking the place based on budget, proximity & cuteness without getting my gal pal's approval, she confirmed what I already knew - that this little spot was EVERYTHING we were looking for. Someplace inspirational to get the creative juices flowing, a home away from home with beautiful light, plants, cozy nooks everywhere. Like between me & her we had 5 places we could hole up and write inside Pete's place, and still have a bright, collaborative, coworking space without feeling suffocated or on top of each other. We took Pete up on his recommendations & ordered takeout via Door Dash from Khao Hom on Friday night, and it was fantastic. Saturday morning I walked the 5 blocked to Carma Coffee for a lavendar honey latte and a breakfast sammy. So good! And to get the full NE MPLS experience, Saturday evening we walked to Mayslacks - for a dive bar this place had a large menu & really decent food. We took home leftovers and had a nice brisk walk home that energized us for the next 5 hours of writing & wine we were about to partake in, LOL.  Walkability factor was awesome; we didn't have to get in our car the entire weekend.  After living in the Lake Minnetonka area for 12 years, now I know why I loved living in NE MPLS back in the day. It's just vibes. The little Corner Store is the perfect place to bring people together. I already want to book out the upper & lower duplex simultaneously for women's retreats, and we're planning on coming back at least once a quarter to write our speeches & books b/c you know....#werk :) It's insta-worthy, it's safe, it's walkable, your host is fantastic. For all you local peeps who need a getaway (or if you're an entrepreneur, writer, speaker, business owner needing a spot to get stuff done), there ain't no need to be wasting hours driving to a cabin in Brainerd. Stay here.

  • Great host and wonderful neighborhood. House is very clean and comfy.

    Nuj Txeeg2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • We love this apartment and stay here fairly frequently for work trips: we just booked three more stays. It's fabulous at all times of year: in winter, it's warm and cozy but it's also really bright due to being on a corner and having lots of windows - and we also like to curl up on the sofa in the evening with a glass of red wine and look out at the snow. And Peter, as always, is a wonderful host.

    Fiona2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was convenient, in a good location , and very cute. We stayed in the winter and the heat worked nicely. We really enjoyed Peter's list of reccomendations of coffee and restaurants.

    Alex2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Peter provided thoughtful details, such as where to go and what to see in the area. His space is warm and inviting. It was a wonderful stay.

New 2017 built Tiny House perfect for travelers. Close to light rail. Comes with original poetry. New finishes include W/D, full kitchen, 3/4 bath w/large shower, A/C, fast WiFi internet, desk. Queen size bed and SMALL pull out couch will accommodate three adults. Quiet family friendly south Minneapolis location with less than 10 min walk to light rail easily connected to downtown and the airport. High chair and pack and play available upon request.
Fully furnished 357 sqft house on a foundation. It has an open studio floor plan best suited for 1-2 travelers but can sleep a 3rd adult on a small pull out couch of which the cushions rest on the floor. Completely private, this house is referred to as an Accessory Dwelling Unit that I designed and built the summer of 2017. It is not complete, there are some exterior finishing details yet to do but it is very comfortable for you and all of my previous guests. Solidly built by my team and clad in steel, it is unlike any other single family home in this metro area. Queen size "Purple Original" Combination washer and dryer is efficient, easy to use with instructions provided and laundry detergent is provided. Full kitchen is stocked with the basic tools needed to assemble and store a simple meal. Coffee maker, toaster, etc... the basics. I'm open to suggestions. 3/4 bath has a large shower with a built in seat. Towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, hair dryer are provided. The house is connected to the internet. A smart television and a WIFI router are connected to that internet. There is not broad cast television. You can log into your own Netflix, or Hulu from the menu on the tv and stream your own content. You can also surf the web with the remote. You can bring your own casting device and plug into the HDMI port on the tv. There is not cable tv in the house. I have two security cameras mounted on the exterior of the house. They are used for safety and security of my vehicle and mural only. For safety's sake, I would suggest as good practice to keep you and your belongings secure as you see fit and take precautionary measures. The mural and paintings on the exterior of the house were painted by native to MN artist Deuce 7.
This is a nice location in a vibrant city yet to meet its full potential. Quiet, clean, friendly. Several unique boutiques, vintage/antique shops, restaurants for dine in or delivery, parks and green space a short distance. As anywhere please practice simple precautionary measures with regards to safety. For example, simple stuff like always locking the doors of your vehicle and the house.
  • This beautifully designed space is ideal for the single business traveler or couple. The walk to the Blue Line light rail is under 10 minutes - great for trips into MPLS ( ~10 minute ride) or downtown St. Paul (~ 55 minutes). The fare of $2.00/$2.50rush is good for 2.5 hours and allows transfers to the bus system (Metrotransit.org) Nearby in the neighborhood is a very good liquor store (Elevated Beer, Wine & Spirits), a very good asian bistro (Dumpling), great pizza (Parkway Pizza), and the Venn Brewing Company. All are <10 minute walk . Groceries and coffee might be a 5-minute drive. The neighborhood is pretty darn quiet. The bed is very comfortable. And Philip has supplied most of what you need if you choose to cook (microwave, stove) your meals in. The coded entry is convenient and parking is easy on the street. Of note, if you fly into MSP, and you're not loaded with luggage, you could be on the train and into the tiny house within a half hour. Pretty slick!

This Air BnB is located on the top floor of a home in the heart of Uptown and has its own private entrance. Outside: Access is gained via a fun and timeless 1 story spiral staircase. This hideaway has it's own private deck at the top of the staircase and there is also a spacious patio at the base of the staircase that is a shared space with the home owner. Both the deck and the patio are great for sitting outside with a cup of locally roasted coffee and working on the computer or reading a great book. Inside: There is a spacious bedroom with a comfy queen bed for 2. The bedroom includes a dresser and closet to keep all your belongings in order. So, what are you waiting for? Come enjoy everything this great neighborhood has to offer!
Situated in the hip, refreshingly unconventional Uptown neighborhood. Uptown is a crossroads connecting the energy of the city and the calm of the lakes. It's a destination that combines shopping and dining with nature and lifestyle. Fortunately, all of these things are just steps away. Centered around Calhoun Square at Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue, Uptown blends the sophisticated, the scenic, and the stylish into a decidedly urban environment-a perfect melting pot of places to go and things to do. We urge you to come explore our fabulous community!

  • A very nice place in a very nice neighborhood where you can easily walk to food and entertainment.

    Lynn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place is clean and has everything that you need. It looks exactly like the pictures with maybe a few some detail changes but the overall layout is still the same. The bathroom has a small space to move around but I was able to used to it pretty quickly. It's a beautiful quiet place and I would definitely try this place again because of its beauty of the interior room spaces and exterior outside spaces.

This third-floor studio apartment with a woodsy feel and loft has all the privacy you need for a Twin Cities get-away weekend. As it is only four blocks from the Blue Line Metro, it has all of the downtown/airport accessibility for business and easy transfers to the Green Line Metro that runs to St. Paul and the University of Minnesota. The studio has a bathroom and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, sink, microwave (no stove). The studio space has two queen beds in different nooks.
Our space has two queen beds, a full bath, and a common space with a couch, sitting area and wood-burning stove, table and chairs, and a kitchenette. For breakfast, the Pow-Wow Cafe is right around the corner and the fabulous Maria's Cafe is right down the street. The space also has a fridge, sink, microwave, Keurig, hot pot, and panini maker (note: there is no stove/oven). In the summer, our home has AC units in the windows and a ceiling fan overhead. In the winter, the unit has forced air and a wood-burning stove. We are glad to provide a heating blanket to those who would like one. We have free parking on the street, but no reserved parking spots on the property. For the comfort of our guests, the queen mattresses have a 100% hypoallergenic, waterproof mattress protector covers.
There is plenty to do in the Minneapolis metro area, and our place is just .75 miles from downtown, including the Viking's Stadium, Gold Medal Park, and the Guthrie Theatre. We are 1.2 miles from the Minneapolis Convention Center and favorites such as Global Market and the Midtown Greenway. Lake Calhoun, Lake of the Isles, Lake Harriet, and Minnehaha Falls are just five miles away to the southwest and southeast of us. If you are coming to the cities for a gastronomic adventure, Hell's Kitchen, Matt's Bar (for the Juicy Lucy burger) or Fogo de Chao for a fancy dinner are just a short drive away. A note about our urban, ethnic neighborhood: we do live in the city center which means that our neighborhood is busy and very varied: our home is near bus lines, public spaces like parks, coffee shops, non-profit offices, other large old Victorian homes, government buildings, apartment complexes, health clinics, and the many different types of people traveling through the neighborhood on a daily basis. Urban city life is densely populated, so you will want to exercise city-smarts and common sense when traveling out late at night from our place. If that makes you uncomfortable, you might prefer to stay in one of the quieter neighborhoods outside the city center like Nokomis or Eden Prairie, White Bear, St. Louis Park, Plymouth, or Longfellow. We, however, love the energy of the city of Minneapolis. One of our favorite pluses of living in Minneapolis's city center in the Ventura Village neighborhood is the fact that we enjoy a huge diversity of neighbors from all parts of the world and with it the customs, the dress, the food, and vivacity that they all bring to Minneapolis.
  • Super unique, cozy, attic space with everything you need for a night’s stay! Scored major points with my wife for choosing this one :) Highly recommenced! We even found a 4 leaf clover pressed inside one of the books while staying on St. Patty’s Day! What are the odds?! Couldn’t have asked for a better night’s stay. Thank you Zach and Betsey!

  • The pictures do not do this place justice. We felt like we were in a cabin--not the middle of a busy city. The small touches were especially nice, such as a pour-over coffee machine and any bathroom necessities you might need. Would highly recommend!

Located in the heart of uptown. Just a fifteen minute drive from MSP airport. A short walk from tons of amazing local bars and restaurants. A five minute drive or cheap Uber ride and you're in Downtown Minneapolis. Where there is always something going on no matter how cold it gets. There is private off street parking and washer/dryer access in the building. Great for families, groups of friends, couples getaways, business trips.
Its a newly remodeled unit with a modern style. Unit has one queen bed and two full sized futon couches. The building itself is older. Also has a great view of the Downtown Skyline.
Located in Uptown just off Lyndale and Ridgewood ave. A block over from Franklin. It is a five minute walk from tons of great local bars, restaurants, co-ops that are located all along Lyndale. The Walker Art Center and the Sculpture Garden are also just a short walk. About a fifteen minute walk and you're in Uptown Square where Lyndale and Lake street meet. Here there are more bars and restaurants as wells as shops and the beautiful Lake Bde Maka Ska. It is just a five minute drive to Downtown Minneapolis on the Lyndale or Franklin Ave to First Ave. Its also walk-able and will take about twenty five minutes.

  • Loved this little basement apartment - I was only one person but should be very good for a couple also. The location could not be beat, and hosts were very responsive when I had a question. This will be my first choice to stay in Minneapolis in the future.

    Beth2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We love the Powderhorn Park neighborhood, and have stayed at other AirBnb's near here. This was an excellent space, and a great value. The bed was comfortable, bedding was soft, and the bedroom was a great size. The bathroom has everything you need, and was extremely clean. The kitchen is simple, but is all you need to heat up leftovers (an excellent variety of international flavors nearby - you definitely will want to eat out). We were exhausted, so the living room was perfect for a night in with some Thai food and binge watching Netflix. The entire place was extremely clean. It snowed while we were there - they brushed off our car and shoveled the sidewalk by 8 a.m.! Extremely friendly, and very communicative. Off street parking is an added bonus! Looking forward to a return visit.

    Tiffany2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This was much nicer than I expected! The photos really don’t do the space justice. The hosts are respectful and kept a very clean space. Nothing but good things..

The 3rd floor of our home is a clean, quiet and charming unit. The home is over 100 years old, so you can expect some quirkiness that an old Victorian home offers. Our home is very centrally located and within walking distance to downtown Minneapolis. We are 8 blocks from the Convention Center & 0.7/mile from the lightrail. US Bank Stadium is less than a mile away, as well as Target Field, Uptown, downtown nightclubs, and the Mississippi River.
Each of our guest rooms is sun filled with a comfy queen size bed. In warmer summer months, we have a window AC unit available for use, as well as a fan. In winter months, extra blankets are available. Included in your stay is access to gigabit internet (50 times faster than most others).
We are within less than a mile and within walking distance to downtown, US Bank Stadium, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Children's Hospital, HCMC, and the Convention Center. We are just a couple miles from the center of the University of Minnesota, Uptown, Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles, and Lake Nokomis. We love good food, so we can also point you in the direction of local eating hot spots. We love our neighborhood. So much so, that we bought another home right across the street where we are raising our three daughters. We appreciate its diversity and vibrancy and how centrally located it is to the entire metro!! Because we are in the heart of the city, we get to experience people from broad cultural and economic backgrounds in a densely populated area. Our neighborhood, Ventura Village, is a part of the most diverse neighborhood in the entire country with over 100 languages spoken here! There are restaurants, healthcare buildings, old Victorian homes, apartment buildings, and non-profit organizations. We consider it a privilege to live here, but it being in the heart of the city is not for everyone. During your stay, you may encounter lingering people panhandling. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, we may not be the place for you. Obviously, you will want to exercise "street smarts" as you would in any major metropolitan area. If you are looking for a quieter stay in the Twin Cities, you may prefer looking outside of our neighborhood. But we hope you won't. :)

This neighborhood is Minneapolis' best kept secret! In our opinion - and we may be a bit biased - you couldn’t have picked a better neighborhood to stay at when visiting Minneapolis. Lyndale is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in all of Minneapolis. People from all walks of life and all corners of the globe live, work and play side by side. Going downtown? It's just a 10 minute Uber ride or drive away. Coming from the airport? This is a great location for a layover - just a 15 minute drive from the airport. It’s a really walkable neighborhood where you can access everything from restaurants, bars, lakes, and downtown area within a short walk, bike ride or an Uber ride. We have a ton of amazing restaurants and bars in the area including some of the best Ramen we’ve ever tried, a perfect coffeehouse if you're in the mood for a latte, espresso or want to try some local creations, as well as a variety of other options. Right nearby, you can access Lake Calhoun, the largest lake in Minneapolis and a part of the so-called Chain of Lakes. It’s connected to other lakes in the city through a series of trails and is popular in the warm months for canoeing, kayaking, and windsurfing, and swimming. Right near the lake is another super fun and hip neighborhood called Uptown. It has a ton of restaurants, bars, shops and things to do and is worth checking out if you have a bit of time. If you head North of us, you’ll come across the famous Eat Street. Going from there, all the way to downtown Minneapolis, it's an awesome and affordable area to get a full taste of all the different flavors of the Twin Cities. It got over 40 restaurants within a few blocks and constantly changes too. If you want to go shopping at more mainstream stores, check out the famous Mall of America - also just a 15 minute drive away. Believe it or not, it is the largest mall in the United States in terms of total floor area and the twelfth largest in the world. It’s got over 500 stores, cinemas, as well as a full blown amusement park inside. Hope you enjoy spending time in Lyndale and Minneapolis as much as we do! If you need anything, just shoot us a message via Airbnb app and we’ll get back to you right away! Enjoy!

If you're looking to spend a relaxing afternoon at the lake, we're just a few minutes north of Lake Nokomis and Lake Hiawatha.

Neighborhood seems very safe and pleasant. Great location in the twin cities. Price is better than you'll find a hotel. Found Bruce to be an excellent host and though we didn't need to get in touch while we were there had already provided us with everything we needed. Ten out of ten stars.

  • Even though we never made it to the apartment due to COVID-19, these hosts were very accommodating and great at communicating prior to our trip. They make the process easy, and I will be staying with them in the future!

  • Great location, nice building and very detailed check-in instructions! Good communication from hosts, we had a great stay!

  • This place is exactly why I choose AirBnB over hotels. You have a plethora of options and you're bound to find something in your price range. We chose this property for location, it's looks, the past reviews, and the price. Everything was as expected. The bed is very comfortable, they have Netflix, a great view from the balcony, and they provide fantastic instructions for checking in and parking. Absolutely loved our stay and will be back when we come to the cities again.

This cozy studio is the perfect place to relax, unwind & enjoy simple accommodations with a warm, "forest" theme. The studio offers everything you'd need. Hi speed WiFi, Hulu & Netflix, a full kitchen, plenty of drawer/closet space, a very comfortable queen bed, a breakfast bar, coffee table that doubles as a desk, and a PRIME location near restaurants, bars, & shops, with convenient public transit access on "high frequency" routes. On-site laundry and off-street parking round it out.
Coffee table doubles as a desk. This home is powered by 100% wind energy via Xcel's WindSource.
Fantastic location in "Uptown" Minneapolis. This location is perfectly situated between downtown Minneapolis and "Calhoun Square," the main shopping area of uptown. Nearby, there are great restaurants, bars & coffee shops, as well as a convenience store (1 block) & community Co-op grocery store (2 blocks). Some of my favorites (within 4 blocks): The Lowry: trendy bar/restaurant but not too upscale. Great HH. Liquor Lyle's: Classic hole-in-the-wall bar. Mortimer's: Great place for some Foosball & darts. The Wedge: Community co-op with an organic & local focus. Caffetto Coffee: A MPLS staple. Burch Steak & Pizza: Upscale, great food. Bradstreet Crafthouse: "Speakeasy" atmosphere. Sebastian Joe's: One of the most famous ice cream cafes. Walk-Bike Score: Walk: 92 (Walker's Paradise). Transit: 62 (Good Transit). Bike: 86 (Very Bikeable). Distances to: Lake of the Isles (0.6 miles) Loring Park & Walker Arts Center (0.6 miles) Downtown Minneapolis (1.5 miles) Calhoun Square, uptown (1 mile)

  • Near cool spots, got the chance to save a lot of time reaching downtown from this place. Bed is really comfortable and the spot is Vintage and cozy! It's a Small studio yes but i had enough space and to be honest that TV and bed got me at first sight. I worked on my laptop a few hours in the appartment and Wi-fi works good and the TV Setup is super effective. By the way, the center table becomes a standard diner table, discovered this 2 days later!! I wanted a smooth spot for the week i was in Minneapolis and i went on the main street 2 corner streers away, found some nice spots too. Matt had cool list of place to visit on is page also. Price was fair, i'm happy! Will definitely use other Matt listing in my next Minneapolis visit.

    Stéphane2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Matt’s place was perfect for the weekend! It’s in a great location; a quick drive to downtown & walking distance to bars, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. The bed was super comfy, making it a little difficult to get up and be productive haha 😉 Matt was a great host! He was quick to respond and had lots of great local suggestions. We would definitely stay again!

You couldn’t ask for a better location! Placed in Downtown East, this suite is within walking distance to a wide range of attractions, delicious dining, and trendy bars. Abdi2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place was well above and beyond what I expected. Clean. Modern. Massive windows with a fantastic view. You also have access to not 1, but 2 beautiful balcony’s! The views from the massive windows that you are surrounded by give you and incredible view of the city, and parts of the river! If I ever come back again, I’ll 100% stay at this location. Very well done!

    David2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This beautiful penthouse apt was perfect for our quick one-night stay. Very comfortable and the amenities were awesome. We took advantage of the workout facility, sauna and hot tub. The amenities were way better than I was expecting-I’m glad we always travel with our workout attire and swimsuits. The location was awesome-right in the heart of the city and restaurants all around. My husband and I took a long walk to the sculpture exhibit (45 minute walk from apartment) and and also a walk dow to the Mississippi River-just a block alway. By the way, I forgot to mention the views from the apartment-phenomenal! You will not be disappointed with your stay at this location. Thanks to the host for being so easy to communicate with. We truly enjoyed our first visit to Minneapolis.

    Heather2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nice, clean space, great hosts, and a fantastic location close to downtown amenities!

    Barb2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely rental in a great location! It’s within easy walking distance of many good restaurants and also just a couple blocks from Trader Joe’s. The views of the river, historic buildings and stone arch bridge are beautiful! Plenty of space if you have 4-6 people and very nice bathrooms. I think the mattress we used was memory foam and very comfortable. We spent most of the weekend in and made use of the various streaming services available and the electric fireplace added a cozy touch. I’d definitely recommend this place as a good home base for exploring the city or a beautiful spot to hunker down for a couple days.

    You’ll love my place because it's a very simple and quiet. The neighborhood is a peaceful place and the house is very peaceful as well. If you are looking for a relaxing experience that is walking distance from restaurants and cafes this is a great spot for you. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. The house is 8 blocks from the university and 1 mile from the hub of West Bank;
It is just me (and the cat) living here so it is a very quiet house. I work during the days teaching ESL and am home in the evenings. The place is very spacey and simple. Note: There is Wifi internet at the house.
I live right across the street from a very nice park that is on the Mississippi River.
  • Janet is a very nice, super thoughtful person. Great location if you are visiting the University of Minnesota campus.

    Lauren2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my little attic hideaway and Janet and I were the perfect compliment of hermits who liked to chat at the end of the day and then go hide in our rooms. She is a sweetheart and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

    Elizabeth2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • I lived in this house for six months. The location is perfect, really close to UMN and not so far from downtown (also, the bus stop is just two blocks away from the house). The room is comfy, warm and big, with an incredible view on the park. Janet is an incredible host, always smiling and ready to help me (and also the funny cat Schwinn is an amazing host too!).

    Chiara2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Janet is a wonderful host, the house is pretty and in a nice area. If you stop by the Twins, I highly recommend it. Probably my best experience with Airbnb so far.

    Nicolas2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at Janet's is one I will always treasure! She took the time to meet with me at check-in and she and her son were incredibly kind and inclusive while remaining respectful of my time and space. The room itself is spacious and secluded and is located off the main floor up a flight of stairs. There is street parking that is available at most times throughout the day, and the home is located within a ten minute drive from downtown which was perfect for my purposes. I would love to stay with Janet again when I return to Minneapolis!

    Courtney2019-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • Janet was a tremendous host. She made me feel welcome and her son even shared a meal he cooked with me! Everywhere is close and easily accessible, downtown, freeways and the university. You are no more than 15 minutes from everywhere including St. Paul. Janet was also very warm, friendly and acessible. My stay was very good!

Urban sanctuary micro apt. in historic home. Minutes from downtown and uptown, centrally located in the bustling neighborhood of Whittier. One block from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and the Children's Theatre Company. This large and versatile home is part traditional Minnesota craftsman, part International ski lodge, with a pinch of cosmopolitan bling to create a distinctly "City" vibe. Tastefully updated to provide modern comforts while still preserving the original 1920s feel, this home is both glamorous and understated. Clean lines and surfaces dominate the functional craftsman aesthetic and the interior design follows the architecture's lead.
Maple. Pine. Red Oak. The holy trinity of the Midwestern craftsman envelop this unique home in a natural warmth. The craftsmanship of the wood, the simplicity and geometry of the main home and the loft, create a rich and interesting environment that is both pleasing to the eye and functional for travelers. The Sun Room: wonderful street view with awesome cordless shades and curtains that open and close for privacy. The Star Room: Silverdrop and Cucumber, Turkish tassel rug and two steps to the bathroom! The Green Room: quiet and private, near the balcony and bathroom, with a view of the backyard. The Loft: perfectly asymmetrical, with cozy foam flooring and (faux) fur bedding.
Bancroft is the quintessential south Minneapolis residential neighborhood popular for its craftsman homes, coffee shops, restaurants, and lightning fast access to downtown.
  • We loved this home! The entire place is so cozy and very homey. The loft is beautiful and the entire home is very well-equipped with everything you could ever need for your stay. The beds are comfortable and there can easily be many guests. We had plenty of room. We loved our stay here and would absolutely stay again!

This historic South Minneapolis home was built in 1910 just before the Craftsman boom of the 20s. Original maple floors, mahogany staircase winding to the 2nd floor bedrooms and bath, cozy mint sun porch, and sprawling deck and backyard.
No pets have lived in this house but some pets are welcome!
Located in Bancroft, the quintessential south Minneapolis neighborhood, this property offers easy access to coffee shops, restaurants, the lakes, public transportation, and everything the city has to offer.
  • This was a great space for us and close to many things that we enjoyed on our visit. There is a backyard space, and while it was fenced in, our shorter dog could have gotten out so we kept them on a leash when we took them outside.

  • This is a gorgeous space in a location that couldn't be more perfect. The apartment is clean, welcoming, and functional. The hosts have obviously put a lot of hard work at attention to detail into this space. I'd be hard pressed to find a location more perfectly suited to enjoy Uptown and the surrounding areas. Do not hesitate if you have a chance to rent this outstanding Airbnb property.

  • Fantastic location, nice place, and a great value! The snacks in the fridge were an unexpected and welcome surprise. The parking space was super convenient, and we loved having the keypad on the door so that we didn't have to worry about keeping track of a key. Walking distance to a few vegan restaurants was a bonus for us. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoy a quiet stay in NE Minneapolis. Walking distance from a few restaurants, and biking distance from several breweries and distilleries. NE is known as an arts district and for the many breweries in our neighborhood. Al and I love meeting new people and look forward to hosting you. Our two chatty cats, Hen and Muff, will also appreciate the extra love :) Bikes with locks available to borrow per request.
Residential neighborhood in NE. Friendly neighbors. Quiet. Bike-able anywhere in NE/Minneapolis. Bikes with locks available to borrow per request.
  • Great breweries recommendations

  • This is a lovely home with some amazing hosts. They have two very affectionate cats that you will adore. The conversation and company was wonderful and although we didn’t stay long, I wish we would have. They have a wonderful binder full of suggestions and things to do in the area as well! Very helpful and an all around wonderful experience. :)

  • Alex & Camilla are both incredibly friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about them. The house and the space they provide are beautiful and amazing. Would highly recommend!

  • Alex and Camila were hands down the best hosts we've ever had while staying in an air bnb. They are genuinely friendly and care greatly for the people staying with them. They offer a guidebook and lots of recommendations to make your stay in Minneapolis that much better. As an added bonus, they have two sweet cuddly kitties to keep you company when you're at the house. The private bathroom is also a great luxury and they make sure to keep the spaces clean and comfortable for the guests. 10/10 would not hesitate staying here again!

    Hannah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A quiet room and comfortable bed with a nice "private bathroom" on the other side of the wall. Didn't use or explore much more of the house but the two "house cats" hung out in there and were very friendly/nice to have around until it was bedtime.

My place is close to green space--just four blocks to the gorgeous Victory Memorial Parkway. You’ll love my place because of how accessible highways are to get to all parts of the Twin Cities. I'm a ~10 minute drive to downtown Minneapolis. I'm about 25 minutes by car to the MSP airport and Paisley Park. I live in a very residential neighborhood, there aren't coffee shops or grocery options within walking distance. I love hosting, and meeting guests from all walks of life!
I love the energy of this room! It's at the front of the house, on the main floor, and right off the living room. It has a super comfortable king sized bed with memory foam topper. The unconventional piece is that the doors are folding doors, with curtains for privacy and light. You're on the main floor of my home, and will be sharing the guest bathroom with other guests if the other room on the main floor is booked.
My neighborhood is very residential--we're in the Cleveland neighborhood of Minneapolis. I love my neighborhood for it's diversity, history, and proximity to nature and all that the Twin Cities have to offer. You're in a big metropolitan area, but guests often comment how quiet it is. You may hear siren traffic, as we're very close to North Memorial hospital, and not far from a few major thoroughfares throughout the city. In the warmer months, the kids that live on my block play outside, and neighbors may have a birthday party or football event. You may hear a loud car or two passing through, even at night. All a part of living in the city!
  • Elise is as accommodating and laid back as a hostess can get. She adds so many touches to make you feel welcome, happily accepted in her space, and well taken care of. She really goes above and beyond as a hostess!

  • A little far from the airport, but close enough to most places that matter. It's a nice, cozy room with an extremely comfortable bed that was perfect for resting quietly after a busy day of walking around downtown minneapolis. Would stay here again if I ever need a place to stay in the future.

  • Stay was great. The house had a ton of charm and check-in & check-out was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Wow! What a GREAT place! My room in the carriage house was very clean, bed was very comfortable and enjoyed the common area and loved the downstairs Rec room with TV, pool table and PAC man... my fav!!! Will definitely stay again! Only 1 mile from convention center or $6 Uber ride!!!

    Jeannette2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful home with great history. We stayed in the carriage house. Our room was very simple but comfortable. We happened to be alone in the carriage house, which we were glad about because we had to use the common area to get ready in order to have good enough lighting and outlets near mirrors. There is a full kitchen in the carriage house but no silverware or many other basic kitchen needs. For our purposes, it was adequate and VERY conveniently located to the downtown events we were attending.

    Terry & Laurie2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check-in, lots of extras. There are a couple of common rooms with sitting areas, a pool table, board games, pin ball etc. We stopped back at the main house before our check-out time and there was some light breakfast available (scones, coffee, orange juice, and hot tea). I was pleasantly surprised to find some background music playing in the main house over breakfast—popular songs that had been converted to the style of classical music. We had fun playing “name that tune” over breakfast. Host was available to answer any questions over text. Room was nice, and we were able to lock when leaving, shared bathroom had a nice tiled walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. We had an event downtown, and took the opportunity to walk, as it was only about a mile. Great location. We would absolutely stay again!

    Kellie2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really cool and inexpensive place to stay. I was a little unclear on there being so many communal spaces but that may have been my own fault. Definitely suggest this neat spot!

  • 100% would be back in a heartbeat. Beautiful place in a great area. Aj is incredible with communication.

  • This is a gorgeous old mansion, updated with modern baths and amenities. It's a beautiful part of Minneapolis, within walking distance of downtown and many wonderful restaurants. Parking is dicey in the neighborhood but it's better near the mansion, and there is an option to pay to park off the street (which we did not need to do). You should stay here at least once just to see the place.

    Eileen2020-02-25T00:00:00Z

This is a charming historic unit with french doors and a non-working fireplace with lots of natural light. The unit is nicely furnished and ideal for up to four guests. The unit is on the second floor of a Victorian home built in 1903. LOCATION: The apartment is just 1.3 mi from U.S. Bank Stadium, walking distance to downtown and minutes away from the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Convenient bus lines run to Uptown, LynLake and, U of M campus. Coffee shops and Eat Street are close-by, as well.
This space has a lot of historic charm with east and south facing windows which bring in lots of natural light. This is a small apartment so although it will fit up to four people, occasionally I get feedback that the apartment is most ideal for two. However, I have had many groups of three and four who were delighted with the space. It depends on where one is from right? New Yorker's and people coming from urban areas find the space to have plenty of room, while people from rural areas sometimes feel the space is too small. I think the space is somewhat small, but well appointed and optimized for best use. The home was built in 1903 and is an example of a paired down victorian. Although the unit has been updated and modernized it still has many aspects unique to an older home such as squeaky floor boards, tighter access points, and blemishes on the porcelain bathtub and sink. The heat is controlled by myself on the third floor of the house, so if some adjustment of the heat is desired one should contact me regarding any concerns and I can make appropriate adjustments.
The neighborhood is a diverse, busy and urban area with some charm and a lot of grit. There are a number of cafes and stores within walking distance. The Boiler Room cafe is a charming garden level coffee shop situated in the a boiler room of a commercial building and is 2 blocks away. CVS and Starbucks are about 2 blocks away as well. MIA or Minneapolis Institute of Arts and The Minneapolis Convention Center are about 5 blocks away. A restaurant called The Copper Hen is about a 7 block walk and has French fusion food and a charming high end country aesthetic (think Marie Antoinette playing peasant in her pretend village). Wedge Table is about 6 blocks walk and features organic healthy wholesome food with a spacious and clean cafeteria style layout. Slice of New York is 5 blocks away, open late, and has the kind of delicious and greasy pizza slices one would grab before hopping on the subway for a night out in New York. The Bad Waitress (a diner), a Pizzeria called Black Sheep Pizza, and Pancho Villa Mexican Restaurant are all good choices on 26th and Nicollet, which is about 8 blocks away. Ice House is on 25th and Nicollet and has great food, live music, and outdoor seating adjacent to a pocket park with a water feature and sculptures. The Black Forest is a German Beer Garden with German food (nothing to write home about) but a really lovely outdoor terrace. Little Tijuana Restaurant is open super late and has great Mexican food. Rainbow Chinese is excellent and about 12 to 14 blocks away along with Quangs and Pho 79 which are both lively and affordable. There are a number of Asian Restaurants on Nicollet which people like, but I have not personally tried them.
  • This place was incredibly clean. Super cute and close to downtown! I accidentally left my shampoo and conditioner back home, and there were bottles in the bathroom for me to use! My boyfriend and I would definitely stay again. I also recommend getting the parking spot for $10 a day

  • Thomas' place has a very familiar and home feeling to it. For sure such a warm stay in the cold time at Minneapolis. Thomas is very responsive and has done more than enough to make my stay enjoyable.

    Ezra2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thomas was so kind and the home was beautifully decorated. It’s in a great location near downtown but not noisy which was great. There were several fun locations, amenities, and restaurants within a 10-15 minute walking distance. I wanted to live there because of how incredible it was.

    Mema2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a great stay! When we arrived, the instructions were clear and succinct as to how to get into the apartment. Before we arrived, Thomas made sure we had a place to park (parking was a small additional fee but a necessity as there was no street parking available by the time we arrived). It was very secure and we went through two locked doors to get into our building and apartment. The apartment itself was well stocked with amenities, kitchen equipment, and bathroom necessities. and it was clean and fresh. Every part was beautifully designed especially in such a small space. We kept commenting on how bright the whole apartment was! We had such a nice stay and it was homey and comfortable. Thomas was so quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. There was construction happening on the floor below us and Thomas checked with us after our stay. He comped some of our stay because of the disruption. He was an incredibly attentive and helpful host and the stay was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. We were able to walk to the art institute and easily get to multiple local restaurants and attractions. Thanks Thomas!
