Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River. Peaceful and cozy craftsman style cabin in the woods overlooking the Pere Marquette river. Large windows on the riverside allow for a spectacular view of the river and lovely sunrises. The cabin has central AC and central heat, but there is NO TV or Internet/WiFi. The kitchen is well stocked with most cooking essentials. There is a tea kettle, various coffee pots, coffee bean grinder, dishes, pans, small refrigerator, and small functioning vintage stove. Freshly laundered bed linens, blankets and towels are provided. The town grocery store is conviently located less than a mile from the cabin. Both bedrooms have a full size mattresses. There is also a futon in the living room that could be used for additional guests. There is a 2 person tandem kayak, canoe and fishing poles are available at the cabin and are free for guest use. The burn ring by the river and a fire pit on the property that can be used for bonfires or roasting marshmallows. A door code enables guests to check themselves in after 3pm. We are available by text/email or phone during their stay if there any problems or questions. The cabin is located in Baldwin which is a small rural town that has very limited attractions or resturants, but makes for quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Cabin is located on Pere Marquette river which is a designated "National Wild and Scenic" river and is world renowned for excellent fishing for rainbow trout, brown trout and Steelhead. The river section directly in front of the cabin is open for fishing only during the last weekend in April to end of September (trout season). It is also a very popular river for canoes and kayakers since it is steady and considerably clear which is perfect for paddlers with basic skills. The cabin is located about a 2 minute drive from the closest 'open all year round' river location. The cabin is 1.5 hour drive from Traverse City (Wine tasting, beaches, cherry orchards) and/or Grand Rapids MI (Art prize, Fredrick Meijer sculpture Gardens). It is also 45 Min. drive from Ludington which has miles of public beach on Lake Michigan. Pleae note there is a approx. 50 yard walk from the driveway to the cabin. Smoking inside the cabin is not allowed. Pets are ok with the following considerations: no wet dogs in the cabin (most dogs love swimming in the river), no pets on the furniture and up to date flea control is appreciated. The cabin is located 3.5 miles from the start of the Pere Marquette Rail Trail which is a excellent mountain biking and hiking trail.
The cabin is located in Lake County which is over half state (Pere Marquette State Forest) and federal land (Manistee National Forest) with endless hiking opportunities. The cabin is located very close to the North Country National Scenic Trail. There are multiple sections of the North Country trail that allow mountain biking and also the Big M trail is nearby. The cabin is located near the small town of Baldwin which has very limited attractions and no notable restaurants therefore this is not the place to come for man made sightseeing that is nearby.
  • This cabin is simply magical and the setting is idyllic. If you are looking for a quiet retreat and want to disconnect from the noise of our day to day lives this is the place for you.

  • This place is gorgeous and lovely to stay in. There is more kitchen wise when you get there than expected so don’t feel the need to pack your whole kitchen! Truly a wonderful cabin.

  • A lovely place to stay. I highly recommend staying in the fall. The trees are beautiful when they are changing colors. Waking up every morning to a cup of coffee while watching the fish swim in the river is very serene. We enjoyed hiking. It is very convenient having the grocery store so close too. A perfect fall getaway.

*Please read to the end before booking* Feel the industrial vibes of Detroit in this gorgeous loft, located in a 1920's automotive factory. Some features like the wood floors, pillars and steam pipes are all original. It also has exposed brick, and tall windows letting the sun shine through. Located in a quiet, industrial area (an urban explorer’s dream) Within a 10 min drive to you can get to everything Detroit has to offer. My loft and I were featured in AirbnbMag November 2018!!
This loft is clean, comfy and offers all travel essentials. At the moment it is ideal for couples or 2 people who are ok sharing the bed on the ground floor. The upstairs area is off limits until spring, because it gets very warm up there from the steampipes. This is stands until amount mid April. Sleeping arrangements: • Full size super comfy Sealy posturepedic mattress • Sofa for 1 (not too tall) •WiFi • Fully equipped kitchen • A/C, radiators, fans for temp control
Make neighbors with the old factories and pheasants~ The loft is located in an industrial and unique neighborhood. I would call it an urban explorer’s dream! The building is surrounded by a train junction and a field, a little piece of nature where you can spot pheasants and coyotes. Many buildings here have been converted into artist studios/loft buildings, community gardens, music venues and bars, but there are still industrial in-use buildings. The neighborhood is down the street from Midtown. For those who know Detroit, it is not considered a sketchy area. I know this building and area well, say it is safe, but as a fair warning it may look a bit eery to those not familiar with Detroit. The people who occupy this building are friendly and it feels like a community.
  • This space is the perfect Bohemian oasis for anyone looking for this aesthetic. The natural textures, bright colors and gold accents made for a lovely photoshoot with my wellness clients. There were also a few plants in the space that made for great props. I will be back!

    Bailey2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is absolutely gorgeous! The heat was fairly high, which I found very cozy but might be too much for some. Although it definitely is not in Georgia’s control, we did have an issue with the upstairs neighbors making a fair amount of noise, it sounded like running. But for everything Georgia can do, it was great!

    Amelia2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay if you want to explore downtown Detroit. Only a 5-10 minute Uber away from downtown. Very stylish place, really well decorated! Would highly recommend staying here. Host is very friendly too

    Diarmuid2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place, glad we stayed here. Georgia was a great host that I would highly recommend.

    Cade2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia's place is so cute! We loved the decor and it was very clean and comfortable. Georgia warns you about how hot it gets in the apartment, and she's right! That might be the only downside...but the building is really cool and it's a unique place to stay in Detroit. She was very responsive and a great host.

    Sierra2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Georgia’s place is great! Super stylish and well put together. Her description of the space was spot on and the space fit our needs perfectly. We will definitely be back

  • Wee TINY cabin (about 12x12). We didn’t mind as we used it as a base camp. Clean and well-kept by 2nd generation innkeepers. When we needed an iron and ironing board, one was delivered in 30 minutes. Beach front features plenty of toys and sand for children and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Centrally located with respect to the bustling downtown area. A very unique experience for the adventurous.

    Jeffrey2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • A little bit on the rustic side, but they’re very accommodating. Great hosts!

Unique treehouse cabin with all amenities inspired by forest ranger lookout. Though not actually attached to a tree, the outpost treehouse sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 65 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck.
The lookout inspired outpost has all the modern amenities--Air conditioning, furnace, private bath with shower, hot and cold running water. Solar power is used for interior lights. The 14x14 room has a queen size bed (which can be separated if requested to make bench style seating and doubles as 2 single beds (30” x 76”), a comfy chair, buffet cabinet with bar sink, small refrigerator for drinks and coffee maker. The refrigerator is quite small so bring a cooler and ice if you bring perishable food. There are no cooking facilities in the treehouse but there is a gas grill outside. There is also a fire pit. Bring wood so you can enjoy an evening by the fire. The ground level is the “mechanical “ room and the bathroom.
Secluded rural setting but only a short drive to “city life”. Some things to see and do within 30 minutes : Kalamazoo Air Zoo, Binder Park Zoo (Battle Creek), Kingman Museum ( Battle Creek), Critchlow Alligator Farm (Athens). Within 15 minutes of Binder Park Golf Course and many restaurants in Battle Creek
  • This place is amazing! Super cute and very clean. Stan & Deb are very nice and accommodating, and even left out snacks and fruits for us! This is a quintessential Detroit loft, capturing just what the city is all about- taking something old and making it new, breathing new life into it. This gorgeous loft is located in a 1920’s automotive factory, and has retained some of those original characters like the exposed brick, hardwood floors, wood pillars and other little details reminding all that it was a bustling factory. Located in an industrial / up and coming area. Easily access everything Detroit has to offer in 3-10 min.
This loft is clean, comfy and offers all travel essentials. It’s great for couples, small groups or solo travelers. • WiFi • Fully equipped kitchen • A/C unit • Private entrance • Parking right outside the door Sleeping arrangements: • Queen pillow top mattress • Twin bed (upstairs) • Sofa

  • Georgia’s place was great for an overnight stay for me and my two sisters. 10 minute drive to downtown, close to nice Midtown restaurants. Pros: cute space, great check in, free and available parking, nice touches in the space like suggestions on where to go in the area, and we found a nice little sewing kit that we actually ended up needing! Cons: the small bed upstairs was very firm and uncomfortable, not easy to move around up there but the pictures of the loft prepared us for that so no surprise there. Thin walls, can hear everything the neighbours are doing or listening to. Luckily we didn’t spend much time in the loft so not really a problem for us!

This 200 ft. tiny house is tucked nicely away in the beautiful northern Michigan woods. Its light and airy space is comfy and bright, without being too constricting, it is only a 2.5 miles from downtown Charlevoix.
There is a ladder provided to access both the sleeping loft as well as the storage loft. In-wall heaters are readily usable and easy to function.
The neighborhood is quiet and simple. The tiny house is far enough from the road that makes it free from distractions, but close enough to town if you are interested in grabbing a bite to eat, going to a concert, or jumping into the lake.
  • A tiny woodland paradise! 100%, would definitely recommend.

    Lindsey2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! The tiny home was amazing in itself! I loved seeing a few books on Tiny Homes on the property which was fun to read while being in one. Elizabeth was great every step of the way. We didn't get in until dark and didn't park in a great spot so when it rained all day the next day our small car couldn't handle getting back up the muddy incline and Elizabeth called her grandpa and he was there within minutes to help us and we were on our way! We would have been waiting there for another hour or 2 for Triple A if Elizabeth hadn't called to get us help. We would definitely stay there again!

    Deanna2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • we absolutely LOVED staying in the tiny house! It is absolutely beautiful with all so many thoughtful touches and features that make it feel homey! The kitchen had everything you need and was fully stocked with breakfast items. The window bench in the living room is a perfect place to watch nature or read a book. The tiny house inspired me to add a few things to my home. I loved how there’s books on tiny houses and the inspiring quotes and scripture. This was probably the best airbnb stay I had! It’s amazing how you could fit everything you have in a traditional home in this tiny house. It’s close to town. I would definitely recommend staying here!

  • Great spot! Being inside the Commons is such a great place to spend a few days, and Nate & Carrie’s condo was awesome. Communication on how to get too and access the unit was great, and we enjoyed everything about our stay here!

  • I'm hesitant to let anyone else know how much we loved our stay here because it will be that much harder to secure in the future! Carrie's condo was the perfect location for a quiet getaway. We loved exploring The Commons and Carrie's recommendations were spot on. And the bottle of wine left for us was a very sweet touch. We can't wait to come back again.

Sit on your private patio and view the Grand Haven State Park pavilion. This one bedroom condo's patio provides a lovely view of Lake Michigan and the beach. This newly renovated lower-floor condo is stylish as well as comfortable, clean and quiet. Spend the day on the beach and then throw some shrimp on your private Weber grill, open a bottle of wine and relax on your patio overlooking Lake Michigan. Good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
We are across the street and halfway up a hill from GH State Park. Our hill is residential but very unique. Five Mile Hill is one of the area's highest sand dunes. It got its name in the 1800's, from fishermen who, when far out in Lake Michigan, saw the top of Five Mile Hill, they knew the distance to shore was 5 miles. We are located halfway up Emmet. If you walk to the top of our hill you can enjoy a spectacular view of Lake Michigan on one side, turn around and you get a panoramic view of Grand Haven and the Grand River Channel.

The Guesthouse on Schoolhouse Lake has been in my family 1926. A great work & play space. A Sleep Number Bed or an incline bed w/a great lake view. Therapeutic saltwater hot tub, OPEN 24/7/365. Create a meal for 2 or BBQ with friends. Explore the lakes in kayaks, pedal boat or paddle board. We're 5 miles from DTE Music, Great Lakes Crossing, Clarkston, Pine Knob Ski Resort. Close by are Somerset Mall, M1 Concourse, Pontiac, Rochester & Chrysler TC & Tier-1 suppliers. A 55 mins drive to DETROIT.
l've "lived" the people business all my life, thus I knew exactly what the Guesthouse on Schoolhouse Lake must provide. First it had to be clean. Like really clean. 2nd, there would be options. Because it doesn't matter how good a cup of tea is, if you don't drink tea, well... 3rd. It had to be as nice as home or better, new luxury sheets and lots of towels. 4th. It had to offer and be easy to find, all those "things" you forget or suddenly must have. And last but not at all least, it must be inspiring. The view of the lake, will generate a desire to go exploring, Kayaks or pedal boat. The sound of the turning water from the high power jets in the Therapeutic, Saltwater HOT TUB calls for a refreshing soak. The incline beds are sure to be the coziest, fall asleep while being mesmerized by the water, spot ever! Welcome to the Guesthouse on Schoolhouse Lake. My families 1926 "little house" redesigned using up-cycling and enhanced in every way for your comfort. Enjoy, relax, be inspired.
The area provides a multitude of restaurants. Whether it's the best hand tossed Pizza, a one of a kind Coney Dog or a Japanese steakhouse, authentic Mexican or fine dining just ask for my list of places. Half day trips to day trips Meadowbrook Hall, scince museum or World renowned The Henry Ford & Greenfield Village in Dearborn, all a sure win for everyone in any season! Lake living is not just for warm weather. Winter, spring and fall seasons are full of adventure on the water and ice. Both Pontiac Lake State Park located in Waterford, and Independence Oaks are great parks for big groups or a casual walk, cross country skiing & snow shoeing. (I.O.C.P., has rentals available on some Saturdays). Callahan's House of Blues is always rockin' with great Detroit, Chicago, New York Blues on selected Thurs, Fri, Sat. Endless Shopping is an understatement! Great Lakes Crossing, Somerset, Birch Run & Downtown Birmingham guarantee a full day's experience of amazing finds and bargains. And then there's golfing, fishing, hiking, alpine skiing or snowboarding. Looking for something else? Just ask.
  • From the moment I walked in my jaw was on the floor. We were greeted by the beautiful lake through the giant windows and upbeat throw back music. My partner and I did a little dance while we put down our bags and it was honestly magical. I don’t remember the last time we busted a move like that. We explored the house and it was like being a little kid again. The little loft stole our attention and we were delighted by the singing bowl and the cushion set up, we both felt like it was a perfect spot to meditate. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of kitchen supplies, there was literally everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and fridge. The whole space was incredibly clean and that was very important for me because I’m a clean freak. The jacuzzi was PERFECT. There were shades for privacy and the view was incredible. Oh and the bed? SO COMFORTABLE!! I’ve never been on a sleep number bed, and I am now very interested in getting one for myself. This trip was perfect. I was a little concerned about being so close to the road, but I didn’t hear much traffic at all. The noise machine next to the bed was a great touch. I am super impressed with this place and all the little touches from Lori (chocolate on the pillows, checking in, she even brought us fresh robes!) were nothing short of excellent. Thank you Lori!!!!

    Stephanie2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Very cozy place to stay. Compact, cozy, and everything you would need to wind down and relax. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like a home away from home, you should seriously book this locale.

    Emily2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lori is an OUTSTANDING hostess. She went above and beyond with really cute and exciting touches that made our anniversary so special! She was fantastic with communication, made us feel so welcome, and the cabin was phenomenal. Clean, extremely well organized, stocked up with games and smore supplies for the fireplace - the hot tub was our very favorite in the super cold weather! Lori let us stay an extra few hours on Sunday and it just made the whole trip that much sweeter!! Thank you Rick and Lori for being such wonderful hosts and sharing your special piece of heaven with us! TJ & Erica

    Erica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time staying at Lori’s and I’d choose it over a hotel any day. The thought and detail put into the hospitality and amenities is amazing. Will be back next year.

    Asia2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • Airbnb should offer a 10 star option just for Lori and Rick’s gem. My wife and I have stayed here four times in two years and we’re busy planning our next stay. It’s been long weekends so far, but this June we will be there an entire week! The location is fantastic and this little house is full of warmth in every meaning of the word. You’re always at home and made to feel welcome in the Guesthouse on Schoolhouse Lake. There’s something so very special about it and we can’t wait to keep coming back for years. It’s the destination we daydream about. If you have a chance to book this place, don’t hesitate. It’s spectacular in every season of the year. A slice of heaven!

    Chelsea2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lori went above and beyond to make our stay special! The place is so cozy and cute. Lori has thought of every detail and we immediately felt comfortable and at home at the cottage. It was the perfect winter getaway - we LOVED the fireplace and the hot tub while it snowed. We had an incredible, relaxing weekend and hope to come back soon!

    Laura2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • It is beyond what you can expect based on these pictures. At first view, we were a little confused but the inside speaks loudly. The touch of detail is what my partner and I lived for. After all it is the small things in life that we love the most. Lori & Rick are exceptional hosts, helping us set the curtains on their amazing hot tub (ready to use ANYTIME), and bringing us waffle mix. There aren't enough words or time in the world to express what we felt laying down on the beds to the lake view snuggled in the blankets. Enjoying the warm fire for a game of Monopoly. This was the perfect getaway for us. We do recommend ordering Tropical Smoothies on top of the restaurant suggestions notes on the fridge! Super yummy.

    Daniela2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lori’s place exceeded our expectations by far. This is a rare case when the pictures don’t do the place justice! When my husband and I first walked into the cottage, we were welcomed by the soft music playing on the TV, which set our mood for the weekend. As we began exploring, we were surprised to find the many thoughtful touches Lori put in place to feel her guests at home. The panoramic views of the lake were incredible, the hot tub was amazing, and the soaking tub with homemade bath salts provided a much needed relaxation. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was fully equipped, and the waffle mix we found in the fridge together with a selection of coffee roasts and creamers made for a great breakfast. We were left extremely satisfied and in love with this cottage. Definitely will be back for a getaway weekend!

Small hand hewn log cabin on Chocolay River. Good fishing, approximately 5 miles from snowmobile and ORV trails. Full kitchen. I BR (Q), 1 bath. Will supply Q air mattress upon request if needed. Outdoor electric sauna and fire pit. Washer/dryer. Basic amenities.
People love that we’re secluded but still in close proximity to hiking, skiing, ORV trails and you can fish right out the front door. All that and only 10 minutes from Marquette for dining and shopping.
  • This cozy cabin was just what we needed for our trip from down-state to the U.P. The only downside was a lack of any cell service while in the cabin (and lack of wifi). We had to drive up the road to make calls or get service. However, the spacious cabin with its sauna, full kitchen, and wood burning stove made for a lovely atmosphere to read and relax without technology. We enjoyed our winter retreat and hope to be able to stay here again in the summer. Nearby attractions included Marquette with lots of restaurants, Marquette Mountain, Presque Isle Park, and a little under two hours away was the best experience EVER at Otter River Sled Dog Training Center & Wilderness Adventures.

  • Theresa’s cabin was a dream! The sauna was a great addition and really helped us to relax after skiing at Marquette Mountain. Her thoughtfully decorated, cozy cabin had great amenities, including cable and a cell booster (for those that just can’t do without service). Overall, it was a great place to be able to relax, unwind, and get disconnected from tech to enjoy the nature of the UP. Thanks to Theresa for being such a great host!

    Crystal2020-02-23T00:00:00Z

Friendly victorian upstairs apartment in downtown Traverse City. This space is three blocks from the beach, downtown, and a short distance from the Traverse City Commons. A great spot for two on the town.
  • If you're looking for something clean, affordable and close to downtown, this is the place for you! I have stayed here twice and will definitely be coming back. Linda is great and did extra cleaning prior to our arrival due to coronavirus concerns. Love this place!

    Lenny2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Linda's place was terrific. Plenty of parking, near the downtown, and comfy! I really enjoyed the Netflix option on her tv. I would definitely stay again.

    Michelle2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Would recommend staying here. Excellent location, walking distance to all the front street shops and a short trip to the commons. Clean and friendly space. Linda was quick with responses and was professional.

    Evan2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • I know where I am staying if I ever come back to Traverse City! I have so much to rave about but location is probably one of the best parts. In the winter it was a 1-2 minute drive to park downtown and that could be easily walkable in summer months. There are multiple eateries and stores right across from the house so you could easily walk across the street to grab pie, dinner or maybe even some wine. The airbnb is so much cuter than I was expecting, the perfect place for 2 people. The bathroom is beautiful and there is even a nifty heat lamp in there to keep you warm in the winter months. There were so many nice touches like local travel info, a coffee and tea station and even basic bathroom supplies. I had the best stay and I can't wait to come back again!

    Jordan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Location is super convenient for strolling around the downtown region. Easy check in and check out procedures with no curfews made enjoying our time there a breeze! We were fine but for those with mobility trouble, be aware that the stairs up to the second floor are pretty steep.

They’re very responsive to messages, and their tips for local cuisine and experiences are great! The location of the loft is perfect. You’re walking distance to Left Foot Charley’s which is superb. The shops are in the same part of the building and are fun to explore!! The Commons are close to downtown and the shopping district. Over a perfect stay! Thanks, again, to the hosts!

  • This space is now one of my favorites! High ceilings, a spacious living room, and an intimate lofted bed are all located in a beautiful and historic building. You can make a whole day of exploring the buildings and grounds and even take a twilight tour! The next time I go to Traverse, I hope I can book this space again.

    David2020-03-13T00:00:00Z

    Elizabeth2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We throughly enjoyed our stay in this very clean and unique condo! The loft also added an interesting touch. Joshua was very quick to answer any questions we had. I also loved that there were many books available to get yourself interested even more about the stay here. Staying on a Saturday night was a treat since there was a farmers market in the building just steps away. Highly recommended to stay here and to take a tour or the building to be truly immersed in the experience!

    Karla2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay! Joshua and Chad provided absolutely anything you could think you needed and more! The loft truly felt like home. Great location and the grounds were amazing! One of the best parts of the trip was having so many restaurants and shops right downstairs!

( the WIFI is temporarily OUT of ORDER , awaiting parts) * SANITIZED* This Little House has a remarkably BIG presence, with private views of forests and meadow. It has a roomy loft with plenty of headroom and a queen sized genuine Temper-pedic mattress. The bathroom has a full sized tile shower. The kitchen has a fridge, convection oven, electric tea kettle, Kurig and French Press. The living room is stocked with free books (take some home) and games. A small table seats two for dining. 420 ok
The Little House sits high on a knoll overlooking a 4 acre meadow and lots of forest. It is nested between shade trees. My home and another cabin are on the property. Sharing 8 acres, gives all three residences privacy and a sense of the wild, while still being just 1/4 mile from M22 the main highway to all of the area's attractions. The bedroom is more spacious than most Tiny Houses but it is in a loft, so families with children need to take safety into account. 420 freindly outdoors. Legal in MI now. There is parking next to Little House, but it may not be navigable in winter so a hike of about 300 feet from the plowed parking space will be necessary. PLEASE NOTE: I do allow dogs in my rentals. I clean extra well after canine guests and supply a cover sheet and separate towels for the canines. But I cannot remove every trace so if you are very sensitive this may not be the place for you. I also open all windows to air the house out between all guests and for those with pollen allergies, this could be an issue. My dogs' yard is about 100 feet from the Little House. They are fenced in and will bark a few times to greet you (or if they see the deer, turkeys or squirrels), but are fenced in and should not disturb you. Please do not allow your dogs to approach the fence, it instigates friendly barking which many bother my neighbors. Although we are situated in conservative Northern Michigan, please know that I do welcome ALL guests, no matter the culture, gender or ethnic origin. This is a safe place for all. Peace and Love. Hurry! There are very few rentals available in central Leelanau County. Here are just a few local destinations starting from nearest first: Leelanau Sands Casino, Eewaing Native American Museum, Silver Leaf Winery, Raftshol's Vineyards, Tandem Ciders, Corky's Bistro, Tamarack Gallery, Knot Just a Bar, Blustone Winery, Parallel 45 Winery, Bay Theater, Will Case Jewelry, Eddie's Village Inn, Martha's Table, Wines and Vines Restaurant, Ciccone Winery, Shady Lane Winery, L Mawby Sparkling Wines, Dick's Pour House, The Happy Hour, Historic Fishtown, Blue Boat Coffee, Carlson's Fisheries, The Dam Candy Store, The Cheese Shop, Leelanau Cheese, Nature's Gems Petoskey Stones, The Blue Bird, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Blu, M22 Store, Fusion and about 20 more wineries!
We are so lucky to be in beautiful Leelanau County. My eight acre property is secluded ( you cannot see any of my neighbors once on the property) yet close to the main highway. I live just above the Tribal Land, in a mixed neighborhood of farmhouses, modular, mobile homes and cottages. My neighbors are tidy, quiet and friendly. It is a VERY safe community, the EMT, fire station and police are nearby. Once a year, there is a community pick-up of large discarded items, and these are on the curb, making the neighborhood look distressed. Please excuse this once-a-year blight. Sound does carry, so I hope my guests take thin into consideration when using the outdoors.
  • Pam’s Tiny House was absolutely beautiful! The property had amazing sun light and beautiful views. Quiet nature bliss.

  • This was our first experience in a tiny house and it was a great one. Pam was very quick to respond with any questions we had.

  • We had a great visit !

    Jo2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Super fun place to visit!

    Tom2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the tiny house! It was the perfect place to stay at as we explored the Leelanau Peninsula for the weekend. The location is absolutely perfect for all of the wineries, hikes and exploring we planned for the weekend. It’s super easy to get to. There’s lots of land to run a dog if you bring one. We have an energetic Aussie and the house never felt too small. It stays warm through the night and all amenities were just right! Pam was communicative and we had no issues getting in. We definitely want to come back in summer. Highly recommend this for solo and couples/small family getaways!

    Lindsey2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Another wonderful stay at the Tiny House! Pamela is a hospitable host - great with communicating about the slick driveway thanks to the melting snow, turned up the heat before our arrival so we would be comfortable, and has so many personal touches in the space. We will definitely be back!

    Haley2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Pamela was a great host at the tiny house! We were there for the first big snowfall of the season, and she was easy to communicate with to make sure we made it safely and had a place to park. The tiny house was the perfect spot for us while visiting family who live just up the road. It was peaceful, clean, and cozy. Plus we got to bring our dog! We’ll definitely be back soon.

This amazing house was conceived with vacation travelers in mind YES we are PET FRIENDLY you’ll love this GEM of a place because of location we are close to numerous activities and great restaurants. Our vacation home is located on a 16 acre PRIVATE Lake, Lost Lake. RIGHT OFF US 31 just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. 50" Smart TV with NETFLIX 27 miles to Sleeping Bear Dunes 3 miles Interlochen Arts Academy 13 miles Traverse City 3 Miles Blue Bridge Event
This special property features 2 separate units that are not connected internally aka a Duplex, with entrances on opposite sides of the house, nothing is shared except for the dock. Both are dedicated to vacation travelers, here are a few things PEOPLE LOVE about The Perfect Getaway. ONE OF OUR REVIEWS "Jeff’s properties are simply the best. I travel a lot, and stay in a lot of hotels and AirBnB’s. Jeff’s are by far the best anywhere, hands down. Jeff himself is also an amazing host. You won’t find a friendlier, more competent host anywhere. Brian" #1 Location, 17 miles to Crystal Mountain, 26 miles to the Sleeping Bears Dunes National Park, 20 minutes to Traverse City, 5 minutes to the World renowned Interlochen Arts Academy! 3 miles to the Blue Bridge Events Center! 1/2 mile to Interlochen Golf course, 30 miles to The Homestead. also our vacation home is located on OUR 16 acre PRIVATE LAKE "LOST LAKE" , RIGHT OFF OF US 31, just 1/2 mile from the traffic light in Interlochen. #2 Our house is newly remodeled the unit is AIR CONDITIONED for those warm summer days, great effort has went into sound proofing one side from the other, this is what a recent guest had to say (The way the duplex is set up your privacy is not compromised at all. In fact I would of never known we had a neighbor unless I saw their car. We did not hear a peep. Gaea) #3 The YARD, PATIO & LAKE are awesome! It allows you to enjoy the best days of summer outside and grill to your heart's delight with the GRILL and BOATS found there! Here are 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER before renting. #1 NO PARTIES are permitted in our house or property at all times during your stay. #2 Our house is nice but its not perfect for all people, even though we have put lots of effort into this place there are always small what seem like trivial issues to most that really upset others such as, this is a Duplex, there is not a bathtub we have a stand up shower. There is a step up to get into the house. home is located RIGHT OFF OF US 31, Etc #3 We ask all our guests to respect the neighbors and to not be loud or yell or play loud music inside and outside the building at all times during their stay. We expect our Guests to be quiet after 11:00PM. So if you intend to behave like a party animal, our place is not for you but if you intend to behave like a resident, you should love your stay. Now that this is clear, let's get to the description of the place! The Perfect Getaway is located in Interlochen RIGHT OFF OF US 31 on LOST LAKE a 16 acre PRIVATE lake meaning privately owned by us, the center point of activities in the Traverse region. We can accommodate 4 GUESTS. THE Perfect Getaway (left side unit B RED DOOR) This unit features a kitchen that is fully equipped with all the essentials such as POTS & PANS, COFFEE MAKER, TOASTER, BLENDER, SLOW COOKER and your basic kitchen items to cook a nice meal.  This is a 1 BEDROOM unit with a queen size bed & all the linens you will need! The living room has a QUEEN SIZE HIDE A BED COUCH for 2 extra people (for a total of 4 guests) 50” Smart TV with NETFLIX, also has ULTRA FAST 5G WIFI .  The bathroom has a STAND UP SHOWER, HAIR DRYER, IRON & BOARD and WASHER & DRYER so that you can take care of your laundry needs.  This unit has a beautiful private deck & overlooks the lake and also has a PATIO TABLE / CHAIRS & outside GRILL so that you can truly enjoy those long summer days.
This property is part of a 37 acre partial & is basically located in the center of it, RIGHT OFF of US 31, other than a small part of the lake, we own it including the lake shore so it is a private lake.
  • Super fast responsive to any questions and amazing experience all around! Ill definitely be coming Back! Location was perfectly in between travers city and sleeping bear dunes.

    Robert2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful view. Cozy place. Great communication. Excellent amenities. It was a perfect weekend getaway with our pups.

    Emerald2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff was very helpful leading up to the trip. We visited here for a snowboarding trip and loved that it was close to Crystal Mountain and Traverse City. We love visiting this area with our pups, so this was the perfect spot — so peaceful in the morning!

    Tori2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! The lake was cool and the area was very nice.

    Pete2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend this! Especially if you are a fisherman. This place is beautiful. The home is in a gorgeous lake and conveniently located to just about anything you could need. The home is as described. The extra little amenities were great especially for our weekend getaway, less to pack! And if you forget something there are stores right down the road. We went to the property for an ice fishing trip for the weekend and it was amazing. Theres a bait shop literally 2 houses down and the fishing was awesome and the lake is private which meant we had it to ourselves! The home was very clean and tastefully decorated. You are right off the highway, but inside the house you cant hear nothing of road noise. On our last night people were in the other half of the duplex but you couldn't hear them, with the exception of their dog barking. Jeff provided toiletries and little amenities like coffee and creamer and spices for cooking. The place even has a washer and dryer which was great to dry our wet clothes after ice fishing. Jeff was great with communicating making sure we arrived and were able to get in the home okay. The list of where to eat was great especially if you are unfamiliar with the area. We are hoping to come back again in the summer to see what the lake offers for fishing during the warm months.

    Audria2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We booked a place super last minute for a spontaneous trip north, and we were so excited to get a place this awesome so last minute, and then upon arriving it was even better than we already thought it was going to be! The space was modern but cozy, it had a beautiful yard and lake (which I'm sure is even more incredible in the summer), and Jeff literally provided EVERYTHING you could possibly need and was so helpful in general. Coffee, Netflix, extra blankets, a fan, a list of everything to do in town - this was by far my best Air Bnb experience. We will definitely be making a trip back in the future! Thank you Jeff!

    Steph2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jeff is a phenomenal host who provided an amazing experience. I would recommend to anyone and will come back!

    Arlen2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay here. Good location (quick trip to downtown traverse city) and well equipped place. Jeff was very communicative and responds quickly through the air bnb app. The place was spotless.

Our TinyHouse is in the woods and very secluded and peaceful. This is a place where you can enjoy your privacy, take a walk in the woods, enjoy a campfire, have a picnic and just plain relax. You can leave your cares behind and find renewal for your life. We live in the main house and the TinyHouse is on the back of our detached garage. This is a private space with your own kitchen and bathroom. We are available for anything you might need, however we will respect your privacy and your space.
Our TinyHouse equipped with most things you will need to make a small meal. We have lawn chairs, picnic table, fire ring and a barbecue grill for your enjoyment. We have many trails for walking and the woods is beautiful with many deer, turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks and birds. *Note* We do not have cable TV, however we have Netflix and Prime. The TV is sometimes slow to pick these services up and sometimes stalls while watching. We have found that streaming from a laptop works great. We have an HDMI cord available for your use if you bring your laptop.
Our place has a long driveway back to the woods. It is secluded and peaceful. This is a great place to relax and have a retreat from your busy life.
  • Beautiful, quiet getaway in the woods. Bird watching, lots of deer on trails through woods. Just what we needed to unwind from our busy lives!

  • We had an amazing time staying in their tiny home. It was so serene and a very personal and homey feeling upon arrival. It stayed warm and comfortable through the nights and we saw so much wildlife. Leaving was so sad but we will be certainly back another day.

    Liam2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is my favorite AirBnB I've stayed at - absolutely amazing! Such a quaint place perfect for a couple or a solo traveler. I was only there for a night but I wish I would've allotted for a longer trip! You wake up to deer in the front yard and great hosts who welcome company and questions about the process of building a tiny home. To anyone curious about "tiny home living," I would highly recommend making a trip out here. I told all my friends and family about it when I got home. I am definitely going to rebook in the summer when you can walk the trails through their back yard. It was beautiful and fantastic. Don't question staying elsewhere, this place is great!

Cabin #7 - "Waugoshance" A hybrid word, combining the Anishinaabemowin word wah'goosh (fox) and the French word anse (cove). This 2 bedroom, 528 sq ft cabin is named after a nearby peninsula off the northwest coast of Michigan's lower peninsula.
This cabin sleeps 6, utilizing 2 bedrooms, each with a queen size bed and a futon in the living room. This cozy 528 sq ft cabin also includes a kitchen, living room, dinning space, bath and a spacious 9' x 6' enclosed porch overlooking the water. This Vintage Rustic cabin sitting on the shore of a beautifully serene lake, is one of a 7 cabin resort primarily designed for the camping & fishing enthusiast. It's a little rough around the edges but holds the allure of days gone by. Whether you are looking for a home base to camp at the lake or a base camp while you explore the area’s attractions, you will enjoy this cozy cabin and all its imperfections. It does not have air-conditioning and the electrical outlets may not be conveniently located, but you will love the authentic charm. • We stayed in a rusticly appointed lakeside cabin on a winter roadtrip through upper Michigan. It was a magical night looking out at the snow covered lake from our toasty warm cabin. We enjoyed the fire and the coziness. I recommend it highly to anyone who loves cabin life. Also, I was able to book last minute and Ritchie had the cabin heated for us and the lights turned on to welcome us late at night. Very thoughtful.

    Lara2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is SO cute. We stayed for one night and will definitely be back. It’s so close to the water which would be perfect for a summer trip here. It was still amazing in the winter, it was heated well and extremely cozy. Ritchie was also a great host, extremely communicative and provided great recommendations.

My place is close to the beach, restaurants and dining, parks, art and culture, and great views. You’ll love my place because of the location, the ambiance, the neighborhood, the outdoors space, and the people. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers.
The Gristmill was built in 1862 and ground grain into flour. It operated until 1946 and was made into a home in 1948. There is a pond, a waterfall, an island with a gazebo. Yes, the water still passes through the house! We purchased the home in 1998 and fulfilled a childhood dream of mine to own this amazing place where I fished as a child.
We are .4 miles from the Traverse Area Recreation Trail that leads South to Traverse City or North to Sutton's Bay. We are close to everything in a very unique setting. We are a 5 minute walk from the beach. We are next to Harbor West Marina. There are 5 excellent restaurants less than 5 minutes away.
  • Loved it!

    Carolyn2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Grist Mill is a unique place and very comfortable. It was just the right size for the two of us. There are so many homey touches and the canine greeting committee made us feel right at home. The yard with the island, waterfall, gazebo, and view of the lake are fantastic!

Completely renovated in 2015, this A-frame cottage packs a punch. The "Grooms Cabin" name comes from its history as the residence for the farm's employees charged with caring for the horses. The cabin is located at the high point of Narrin Farms with a gorgeous vantage point to see much of this 100+ acre property on Lake Narrin. Enjoy our many amenities, including a private jacuzzi, hiking trails, and animals big and small who call this place home.
The cabin is equipped with a full kitchen and bath, heating and air conditioning. There's a fire pit and also a hot tub outside the door that's available for your private use. You'll find coffee, breakfast basics, and other amenities to help make your stay special. Dogs are welcome, but they must get along with other dogs and be well-behaved around the horses and other farm animals. Leashes are required until you get on the trails. Also, dogs cannot be in the cabin while you are gone. If you travel with your horses - ask us about renting a stall and paddock! Sorry, no cats. Note: cobblestone walkways, decking, and a spiral staircase that leads to the loft upstairs could make for tricky footing!
The farm is located in a rural area. Expect a country atmosphere and small-town presence. You'll need to drive on a dirt road for about a mile to access the property. Our little town offers a 24-hour grocery store, bars, restaurants, and drug stores within just a few miles. Nine miles further down the road is the village of Clarkston, where you'll find unique and upscale shopping and dining. Major shopping malls, movie theaters, and big-box retailers are 25 minutes away. Please see my House Manual and Guidebook for details.
  • This tiny home was the perfect space for me, my partner and our pup! Not only was the space thoughtfully decorated, everything was labeled and left incredibly organized! The yard outback was fully fenced so our little pup could run. We were greeted by a bottle of wine and handwritten Thank You note. The toilet paper and tissues were folded artfully. There were many thoughtful little details. Although we were unable to start a fire, there was wood left for us to use! My partner and I will definitely be reserving the Grooms Cabin for future getaways! I'm anxious to see the property and experience the space in different seasons.

  • Such an amazing experience. The perfect getaway away from home. The area was quiet and very peaceful. We got to enjoy our day with the horses, taking long walks, and exploring the area. Our night consisted of bonfires and enjoying the hot tub, even on a chilly night:) definitely will be back soon!

  • This place is beyond cute! My husband and I wanted a nice staycation while I was on my spring break and this cute little cabin was perfect. The hot tub was a nice way to relax as well. :)

    Tyler2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a relaxing, secluded time away, but close enough to lots of fun shopping & places to eat too! Very great in the way we hook into our Netflix & HBO Now accounts on the TV..and watch whatever we normally do. Also the hot tub was wonderful! Highly recommend!

    Abbey2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable cabin nestled on a horse farm. Loved the decor and special touches from the vintage dishes to the coupons clipped on the fridge for local eats. Hot tub was amazing!

    Caitlin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Grooms cabin was hands down the best place I’ve stayed at in a long time! My best friend and I wanted a quiet weekend away and that’s exactly what we got. The hosts were gracious enough to leave us a thank you card and a gift. And the hot tub was much appreciated as well! We enjoyed every moment of our mini vacation! 10/10 would recommend staying here

Located in the front portion of our 100+ year old Heritage Hill home, this studio offers full privacy with it's own entrance locked off from the rest of the house. Within walking distance from all the best Wealthy Street spots *um, yes to margaritas at Donkey*, you'll find yourself enjoying everything our delightful little neighborhood has to offer. *This space is not available for photographers asking for photo shoots, please do not inquiry.*
Our studio includes a full bathroom, a queen sized bed, sun room (yes, it's as beautiful in person as it is in the photos) and a full kitchen. With it's own private entrance, guests may come and go at their leisure. This space has so much historic charm.- it's one of our favorite spots in the entire home!
Our neighborhood is part of the historical Heritage Hill district of Grand Rapids. Home owners in this area go to great lengths to keep up to code to preserve the aesthetics of this old neighborhood. A half block away is the Meyer May House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and is considered Michigan's Prairie masterpiece. Our home is within walking distance (not exaggerating) of ALL the best Wealthy Street hot spots... Donkey, Wealthy Street Bakery, Rowster, The Winchester, Johnny B's... you get the picture. There are also plenty of new shops popping up in our neighborhood as well so you can eat/drink/AND shop. Our neighborhood is safe to walk and we've never had any problems with crime since we've been living here. That said, you'll need to use your common sense when walking around in the city - ANY city.
  • Highly recommend

    Aundrea2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely immaculate space, so pretty and clean! Also the bed was unreal comfortable, perfect for a work trip when you need to get good sleep in the midst of rushing around for meetings.

    Marla2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a great stay. Perfect if you are just looking for somewhere to crash for a few nights. Space is a little cramped for two people but doable. Would not recommend any more than that. Location is great. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to several restaurants/coffee shops. It's an older home so you will hear creaky floors/footsteps/showers, but Cody makes that very clear up front, and is very respectful to keep other noises to a minimum. If you haven't ever been exposed to city/apartment life you will be in for a surprise. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again in the future.

    Matthew2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars all the way around! The ambiance is bright and fresh. We loved the porch and all the natural light and the room was very clean!! Cody did a great job at communicating clearly and responding in a reasonable amount of time. They offered a french press and pour over coffee maker, which was a fun touch for coffee lovers! Parking was easy and accessible. The neighborhood felt very safe also!

    Jenna2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience! The place was clean, stylish, and in a great location. We walked downtown to ice skate and also walked to lunch at the Downtown Market. There are also some great coffee spots for a quick pre-checkout morning coffee if you walk the opposite direction. Location aside, my wife and I could easily book the place for an entire weekend just to sit and read in the four-season room at the front of the house that overlooks the street - beautiful ambience to stay warm while enjoying a snowy Michigan weekend. Communication was great as we had the check-in details well before arriving. Thank you - we won't hesitate to book again!

    Jonathan2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space is so cute and cozy. Although it is in the front of the house, it had a lot of privacy with its own entrance. Cody was great with communication and check in was very simple. Would recommend and stay again!

Cedar walls, vaulted ceilings and an entire east wall of glass blend the house with its surrounding 2 acres of woods and river front. Extensive remodeling added rain shower and double vanity bath, cherry floors, granite counters and induction range to the kitchen. Snuggle in front of the fire, share wine on the screened deck, fish from the seawall, spot bald eagles circling the marsh, and listen to the ancient cries of the sand hill cranes without leaving the property.
Nestled in 2 acres of woods, with sweeping views of the Kalamazoo River and Pottawatomie marsh, Indian Point offers everything you need for a blissful get-away while being close to all Saugatuck has to offer.
  • Lynda's place was an amazing getaway for us. Incredible value - beautiful views, cozy home, hot tub. We made huge use of the wood burning stove to help keep warm. We would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely come back for another stay here!

    Chandni2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying here. The house is so unique and secluded. The screen porch is wonderful in the mornings. It feels like home

    Chris2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely cottage in the woods on the Kalamazoo River has absolutely amazing views and is just absolutely perfect for a relaxing getaway. If you are looking for a place to unwind, sit in a hot tub while looking out at the water, listening to the birds but also be close enough to the charming little town of Saugatuck which is full of unique little shops, yummy places to eat and friendly people, then Indian Pointe is the place for you. Also this place allows your furry family member to join you on your getaway which won it for us. Our dog, Bueller, is a part of our family and we loved being able to include him. This place has everything you could possibly need. Lynda has made it perfect with all of the amenities and the charming, welcoming decor. Being here for a winter getaway, we absolutely loved the hot tub and then sitting by the cozy warm fire. It was so relaxing. I also loved that their is a local bus that will pick you up and bring you into town for just a $1, if you don't want to drive. Saugatuck and the surrounding area offers so much to see and do and Lynda's place puts you in a perfect location to enjoy it all and allows for much relaxation. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. We hope to come back again someday, perhaps in the summer, to enjoy what else this place has to offer. However, for us it was a perfect little winter getaway. I didn't want to leave! Thank you again Lynda.

  • The house is a wonderful getaway for couples. Quiet, beautiful, lots of nature to take in. Wood stove is excellent and the hot tub overlooking the water was perfect. Lynda and her team were great, they respond quickly and were available when needed.

**About that Corona virus.** If you still need to travel, a single family home to yourself is relatively safe! Intense cleaning protocol is being practiced. All surfaces are disinfected between reservations, and all linens are washed, including bedspreads and throw pillows, everything. The Duck 'N' Roll inn is a 3 bedroom home situated on a urban duck farm. A combination of contemporary features and old-time cottage charm will keep you comfortable and cozy while you enjoy Detroit's east side.
The Duck 'N' Roll Inn has been a home to journalists, documentary filmmakers, artists, performers, urban planners and explorers, and this year, a temporary home for families reuniting. It's been a joy to teach the kids about the ducks! The "Duck 'N' Roll Inn" is an eclectic farmhouse on an urban duck farm, officially known as Laid In Detroit. The farm provides pasture raised duck eggs to Rock City Eatery, as well as local residents. Located in the easy-going east side, Laid In Detroit was voted "Best Inner City Duck Farm" by the staff of the Metro Times. Though it's not so much an "inner city" vibe as it is a laid back oasis amongst urban sprawl. It encompasses 6 city lots full of trees and garden, The house has 3 bedrooms--a nautical room, and kid friendly room, and a spacious bedroom known as "the disco room," which features a large skylight, a woodburning stove, enormous chalk boards, and a sound system with a disco ball so that it doubles as a dance floor! There is one full bath with an extra wide jacuzzi tub, as well as a half bath on the first floor. The property also features a steel bbq in the form of a dinosaur, an adobe pizza oven on site, as well as panoramic views of the gardens and the ducks frolicking in the pasture. We have a new addition to the farm! Meg, the livestock guardian dog is keeping us safe from predators and prowlers. Great Pyrenees guardian dogs are known for their friendly, gentle demeanor, as well as their superior livestock guarding abilities. When you meet her, give her a biscuit and a pat. She loves guests! (By the way, the dog is off limits to the house unless invited! No worries if you are allergic or not an animal lover.) The house is full of character with a large kitchen and dining area. The property also has many ecological features, such as a green roof over the duck coop. Your stay here will not only be relaxing and fun, but educational as well. Typical guests who have really enjoyed the Duck 'N' Roll Inn are artists, urban gardening fans, photographers, journalists, film makers, animal lovers, students, musicians, world travelers and anyone with an adventurous mindset. You can also rest easy knowing that the money from your reservation is going directly to a small farm business in a developing neighborhood in Detroit. Laid In Detroit has hosts many events, including an annual Easter party for the kids.
Cornerstone Village, once a stable working class neighborhood founded by Belgian immigrants (some refer to it as "the Belgian triangle") has also been affected by the recent mass exodus from Detroit. But a strong coalition of homeowners with deep roots in the community have held things together. You will encounter some blight and vacant homes in the neighborhood. I am currently waiting for three of them to get knocked down on my street. Hoefully it will happen soon in 2019. There are characters, and oftentimes people are out and about, playing music and socializing, but it is a friendly neighborhood. All guests have had a safe experience here. I haven't had a single incident of crime since I started hosting in 2012. There are many great restaurants nearby, as well as bars, pubs, and grocery stores. The Cadieux Cafe and Ye Olde Tap Room have been around for a century. Trader Joe's and Kroger grocery are within walking distance.
  • I loved this rustic cabin with great amenities! definitely a must see

    Chris2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The stay wa as amazing. The house was stylish and cozy, and to top it off both Meg and the ducks were awesome! Would highly recommend to anyone.

    Noah2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The Duck 'N' Roll Inn is great! Ducks are fun to watch and Meg was fun to hang out with :) We personally loved it, but we do fit the description of people who like adventures, artists, musicians, etc. and maybe wouldn't recommend this particular place to some of our friends and family who prefer more traditional accommodations. Suzanne was very quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay, was super easy going during our time there, and very understanding when an unfortunate mistake caused some minor damage that I didn't know about before we left. All in all, we had a great stay and would love to go back sometime!

    Ryan2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! I can hardly put into words how grateful I am for my experience at this cute house! I was visiting my partner in Detroit this week and we needed a quiet place away from his small family home. This place is right on the edge of Gross Pointe so there’s amazing shopping and food. The house is so charming and has everything you need. I especially admired the vintage stove. And don’t get me started on the ducks and sweet dog! This was probably my favorite Airbnb experience yet. Would love to return. Thank you Suzanne!!

    Claire2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Eclectic and amazing space in Detroit. Close to many things to see and do. Plenty of space to hang out around the house. The ducks are amazing and fun to listen to. Meg the dog was a sweetie and we loved cuddling with her. This is an older style house but by no means dirty. It was quiet and beautiful outside at night and we felt completely safe.

The Attic is a finished studio apartment located on the third floor of our home. It is fully furnished and best suited for 2 adults. The kitchen features a gas range (no oven), microwave, and fridge (with plenty of room for days of leftovers from Electric Cheetah), all perfect for an extended stay. The breakfast nook and island counter are excellent spots to share a meal or do a bit of work on your computer. Traveling with a larger group? Check out our new listing, airbnb.com/h/apartmenttwo.
The Attic features a queen-sized bed, couch with room to stretch out (and a bowl of popcorn!), and a cozy chair for book reading and naps. Watch a movie on Amazon Prime from the couch or bed - the TV is on a mount that can be pulled out and turned. Use the hanging closet to keep your clothes organized; an iron and mini-board are included in case you get a little wrinkly. Decor at The Attic is a mix of modern and vintage. If you like old stuff, it's all here. Some decor items may change over time, but the feel will always be the same. The Attic is a part of a 100+ year old home, with many of the original bits and pieces making up its guts. It can be chilly in the winter and hot in the summer. The Attic is heated using central heat and features two additional heating units to get the temperature just the way you like it. This spring, we had central A/C installed as well as a window A/C unit to help keep The Attic cool. Please keep in mind that our house is a multi-family home, meaning that there are two other apartments in the home below The Attic. You will walk by both apartments when entering and exiting the home, and we ask that you do so quietly and respectfully.
Welcome to South Hill! Our beautiful 100+ year old house is located just one block south of Heritage Hill, a 15-minute (or 5-minute drive) to downtown, and a 15-minute (or 5-minute drive) from Eastown bars, restaurants, and shopping. Take a walk through the neighborhood on your way to Wealthy Street Bakery for breakfast or lunch (or both, we don't judge) with a quick stop at Pleasant Park for a ride on the swing. Be sure to check out the Frank Lloyd Wright Mayer May House while you're in our neighborhood.
  • Maggie is an amazing host! The Attic is comfortable and homey, and a great place to stay. Maggie has an amazing guidebook full of information and suggestions for any need you might have. Since most of the city was closed (COVID-19 worries) I will definitely book The Attic again when I can take full advantage of Maggie’s suggestions. Don’t pass this place up!

    Michelle2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The space is absolutely gorgeous. Not only that, but it was open and light and inviting. The place was spotless, close to great food, and the check in was so easy. We appreciated the morning coffee and hot chocolate, as well as the beverages in the fridge when we checked in. We definitely plan on returning when we are back in the area again!

    Alyssa2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The host and facility were fantastic. I would highly recommend for anyone traveling to Grand Rapids.

    Frank2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie's place is exactly as advertised. Brightly lit, well decorated, and clean. Very cozy place to chill. Great location to walk to cool spots on Wealthy St. Maggie is full of great recommendations if you need/want them. Listen to her when she says to go to brick road pizza!!! The hubs and I had a lovely stay. We would definitely stay here again if it was available!

    Danielle2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space, i would live in the attic if I could. They also pay attention to every detail here. It's perfect

  • Adorable studio! Truly felt like home away from home with all the thoughtful touches and cozy feel. Great location too!

    Josephine2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great lodging, great hosts!

    Alexander2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maggie’s stay was nothing short of perfect! Every detail in every square inch of the place was thought about with care. The attic was a hospitable & home-y. Maggie went above and beyond making sure it was welcoming & convenient. Very clean, filled with light, eco-friendly, and such a peaceful place to be. She included on her own, a well thought out and organized “recommendations book” for everything to do while you’re in town, and was also available to respond quickly if you had any other questions. The attic was the perfect size for two, and I’d recommend it for anyone planning a Grand Rapids stay!

  • We loved staying here! It's the cutest little loft very close to Downtown Detroit. You can see Ford Field and Comerica from the balcony. It is also very clean and beautifully decorated. We loved all the Detroit decor!

    Taylor2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cutest and stylish! The upper deck was so pretty. The loft ladder is a little steep, we just had to take real care when going up and down. All the little details made it feel very homey. There was a washer and dryer even in the unit! The parking (having to go inside to grab gate opener , then downstairs, then park and again when do it again when leaving) Wish there was a keypad at gate, and a drop box for key and opener. I am glad to of had gated parking, wish it had a key/ remote drop off box. I would stay there again, I went with a group of ladies, but we had an emergency to leave and didn’t stay the night unfortunately.

  • Check in/out was easy. Nice location to walk to events. Great deck area, sad it was chilly during our stay, would have loved to use that space more. Sodas in fridge & coffee on hand made this feel extra welcoming, also loved the local soaps. Would definitely book this again when in Detroit!

Our charming bungalow is located walking distance from downtown Muskegon and Muskegon Lake. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood setting while being close to all of the action that downtown has to offer. Breweries, restaurants, shopping, and the farmers market all await. If downtown isn’t your scene, the bungalow is a quick drive to Pere Marquette beach on the shores of Lake Michigan. Large, uncrowded stretches of sandy beach are the perfect place for a relaxing day in the sun.
There is plenty of free on street parking in front of the house. No street parking in the winter months.
The Nims Neighborhood is centrally located along the coastline of Muskegon Lake, right near downtown Muskegon (a 10 minute drive from the Bungalow). Many beautiful older homes are located in Nims, as well as the Lakeshore Yacht Harbor, Waterfront Centre, Hartshorn Municipal Marina, and the Lakeshore Bike Trail. A handful of public beaches are located within a 10 minute drive. Check out our guide book below for our favorite places to visit in Muskegon.

Marilyn also made it very easy to check-in and was very easy to communicate with, all the while leaving us to ourselves. Highly recommended.

  • It is a lovely little bungalow in the heart of Muskegon.

  • Marilyn's place was perfectly cozy for a winter weekend away. The house was spotless and exactly as pictured. I wish we would have gotten the chance to use the quaint little sun room, but it would be a great getaway spot any season of the year!

  • Marilyns place is very cozy and lovely. It was the perfect size for myself, wife and daughter. Very quiet neighborhood, Marilyn was very charming. I would recommend staying here to anyone.

A spacious 1BR corner loft overlooking the river and two parks. Lots of light and beautiful view. In response to coronavirus, we are blocking four days of vacancy between all guests, and doing extensive disinfecting cleans of the space and linens. Kitchens are stocked with food. Convenient location off Jefferson Ave and Detroit's Riverwalk. Gated parking for one car. First time visitors to Detroit and city regulars will enjoy using my loft as a base of operations.
I have a few spaces in Detroit. If this loft is unavailable, check one of my other cool spots, including a house in West Village that can host up to 16 people: http://airbnb.com/p/detroitwildwest This loft is beautiful, open, and full of light. A perfect retreat in Detroit. I grew up in Montana, lived in India for a few years, and ran a journalism startup in Detroit called Jaunt, so I have decorated my place with remnants of my travels. I also contributed to a Detroit guidebook called WildSam Field Guides, so I can help you put together a good itinerary or fill any holes you might have. I mostly live on my sailboat during the summer and I teach Marine Science on a sailing school vessel. The loft is all open except for the bathroom. The bedroom is separated by a wall without a ceiling. The kitchen has all the basic essentials and utensils plus coffee, tea, cereal, oatmeal, etc. for breakfast. I have an HDTV with Blu-Ray, Roku, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and an HD OTR antennae for NBC, ABC, FOX, etc. Then there's the bed. Queen and super comfortable - I splurged on the bed because good sleep is really important to me. For extra guests, there is a queen pull-out sofa in the common area. The apartment can accommodate up to four (two in each queen bed) but you're starting to get a little cramped. I will decline requests for greater than four people unless you have a special circumstance. There are two A/C units: one window-mounted right next to the bed and the other in the living room space. They do a good job on the loft 90% of the time, but if the sun is glaring and it is scorching hot, they won't be able to create the refrigerated A/C frigidity we are used to with central air. The bedroom unit works perfectly if you shut the door to the common area. In the winter, you can turn the heat up as much as you like and make it toasty warm. Since I took the listing photos, I have had new counters and cabinets installed in the kitchen (it's better!). The dishwasher has also been removed per building policy.
I moved here in October, 2014 from the nearby West Village area where there are a few great new restaurants, like Craft Work, Detroit Vegan Soul, and Red Hook Coffee. The loft is on the Riverwalk, which is a bike/walk trail connecting you to downtown and Eastern Market via the Dequindre Cut, a converted rail line that runs off of the Riverwalk. I am also walking distance to the Belle Isle bridge. The building is kitty corner to a Coast Guard base, a U.S. Federal building, and the offices of a private security firm. The streets are lit and other residents of the building are frequently coming and going. I have always felt that the area around where I live is quite safe.
  • Great space, location, and overall good value. I would definitely recommend for a couple or group of close friends.

  • We absolutely loved our stay here! We had a great Saturday night out in Detroit, but the highlight of our trip was honestly the space where we got to feel at home for the night. It was such a beautiful place.

  • I was traveling for work & instead of being stuck in a hotel for a month, I tried my luck with this Air BnB. The apartment itself was fantastic--the layout is spacious and elegantly decorated. The building itself, an old warehouse converted into lofts, was industrial & spooky at times, but the loft was incredibly homey and secure. There's available amenities--basic kitchen tools and dishes, shower amenities (such as shampoo and lotion), and bedding/pillows. Karen, the co-host who manages the loft, is great with communication and more than accommodating. If you plan to stay for an extended period of time as I did, she will even come to replace the linens and towels with fresh ones so you do not have to worry about that yourself. They even have part of the room decorated with artwork from local artists available for purchase if you are keen on taking home a keepsake from the city. This loft made me feel at home while away from my actual home for so long & I will definitely be trying to stay again given the opportunity.

  • Really cool space. It’s got that reclaimed arty vibe that I really love. The location is really cool, right by the water. I would highly recommend this place. Great price too.

Beautiful sunsets and crashing waves on a remote beach - without 'roughing it!' Heated floors and fireplace will keep you toasty while you watch the Big Lake through a wall of glass. Full kitchen with cherry and granite so you don't have to leave.
Elegantly trimmed wilderness home with full amenities. Queen bed with two-sided fireplace serving bedroom and dining area. Unique black ash cathedral ceiling. In-floor radiant heat for ultimate comfort. Washer, dryer, and walk-in closet. It doesn't get cozier than this!
Walk the secluded beach for miles and be completely alone while you pick Lake Superior agates. One mile hike to 7 Mile Point Nature Conservancy. Snowmobile trail access 5 minutes away in Eagle River. Snowmobile trailer and sled parking available with heated shop in case your gear requires a little wrenching. Extensive hiking/snowshoeing wilderness trails right at your doorstep.
  • The location itself is secluded, but you are staying on the host’s property with their house right next to you. It was still private and completely separate, but like other reviews stated a little surprising. Other than that it was amazing. Top notch inside and out. Everything was there from pots and pans to tv and DVD player. Even an electric can opener. The unit itself was gorgeous and clean. Perfect place for a couple to get away in the Keweenaw.

  • Great place right on the lake, super secluded. The owner's home is right next to it but still felt like we were in our own little world. Perfect escape for a mental reset.

    Benjamin2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • I booked this place without looking at how far it was, come to find out it was a 12 hour drive! Every second of that 13 hours was worth it for this destination! It is absolutely stunning; sitting right on the edge of the lake and you can hear the waves in the cabin. If you're looking for a beautiful, private, secluded get away.. this place is it and do much more!

  • Everything about this place was top of the line. The finishes, the appliances, the amenities, the furniture, the scenery, the location, and the host. This place has everything you need, and everything you didn't know you needed.

  • This is by far the best Airbnb I have stayed in. My husband and I got to spend our one year anniversary admiring Michigan’s U.P. Fall colors and lakeshore. They gave us our space and the hospitality was great as there was parking, a cute welcome pumpkin, pitcher of cold water, brochures/books about the area etc. Brad’s place offered a fully functional and stocked home with all the essentials (salt/pepper/olive oil/lotion/shampoo/hair dryer etc). We were able to slow down and felt cozy and right at home in the space. We spent our evenings watching the sunset with wine in hand. Thank you so much for a glorious stay, we will be back!

  • Beautiful place to stay, highly recommend it. It is right next to the owners house which we didn't expect but turned out just fine. Still had the privacy we were looking for. Beach is gorgeous.Everything you could need is available, really was perfect!

    Kristen2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space and location. Quiet, relaxing. Off the beaten trail but close enough to food and other activities. Our second stay. Winter was beautiful up here. Fall is amazing as well. We will be back.
