This is a one bed apartment in the University town of Maynooth . Beside the train station, bus stop and within walking distance of the main St. and University.
  • Great apartment. Good location near bus stop and train station. And David is a great and very friendly host. Whenever I'm going back to Maynooth, his place will be the first I'll check out.

  • Housing very clean and very quiet.

  • We have stayed with David multiple times and would highly recommend.

  • A very cosy spot for a weekend trip to Maynooth! The apartment is in a great location close to the town centre, the university, and public transport, and David is a very friendly and welcoming host. Thanks for the lovely stay!

  • Incredible stay. Very near public transportation (rail and bus). Very close to the main street and the University. The host was very friendly and helpful and the place was really clean

  • A nice place and a great location. Will certainly stay again in the future.

    James2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Dave's apartment in Maynooth has everything you want, is comfortable and easy to get to by public transport. We had a car to drive to places out of Dublin but chose to go into Dublin by public transport. Although the train may be quicker, we went by bus, which took 60 - 90 minutes on different days. Both train station and bus stop are within a few minutes walk, as is the supermarket and the centre of town (Maynooth). Dave was on site and ready to help with tourist information about Dublin. Car parking is very secure, behind a locked gate. We would stay there again.

    Paul2019-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great location next to Main street and the train station, short walk to university, very nice spacious apartment, great kitchen. Definitely hope to stay here again on future visits!

Nature lovers, cyclists and walkers will enjoy the canal walk, the many quiet roads and Donadea forest park, which are in the surrounding area.
  • The apartments were a great deal! They were a 10 minute walk from train and bus stations, very quiet and cozy. David even thoughtfully provided breakfast essentials and a map of the town. Great hidden gem in Maynooth with good access to Dublin!

    Catherine2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. It is 2 minutes from bus and train stops including the bus stop for the airport hopper and town. 3 minutes to town centre. Very quite location. Nice self-contained room that allows you to cook (big money saver in Ireland). Very safe location so excellent option for single female travellers. Host was extremely nice but non-intrusive.

    Martina2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • David’s BnB is perfect! It is well-located, quite near to the canal (awesome for a walk), town, supermarkets and cafes. The place is nicely done, very safe, cosy and comfortable. Apartment 10 is spacious with an attached and sparkling clean bathroom and a well equipped kitchen. Dave was very kind to keep yogurt, juice, milk, chocolate rolls etc. in the fridge. Communication was brilliant. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Maynooth. Would love to be back again, thanks Dave :)

  • Great place to stay everything as described very close to all amenities

    Jim2020-02-02T00:00:00Z

    Mick2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. It was only a brief stay for me but I would definitely recommend it. I had a self contained apartment with everything I needed. Excellent place to stay. Clean, warm, lots of attention to detail, good location and David was great to deal with. Thumbs up!

  • A great spot at great value!

    Conor2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely space, right beside the railway line and the town's restaurants and bars. David was very helpful and being from the area longterm and a business owner, he had a vast knowledge of the locality.

A great location in Celbridge, Co. Kildare where Arthur Guinness brewed his first pint of Guinness. Enjoy scrumptious breakfast when you stay with us.
We offer you a double bedroom with a king sized bed. There is free wireless internet and ample parking. You can enjoy a light cooked breakfast. Guests have access to the kitchen most times where they are welcome to find company over a cuppa. We also offer our guests tea/coffee on arrival. Public bus and train stops within 10/15 mins walk that will take you directly into the city. Restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, golf, shopping and horse riding are all within a few miles with easy access. Our Airbnb location is twenty minutes drive from Dublin Airport. Celbridge features the 'Arthur Guinness's Way' which is a walk that fits in pubs and sites relevant to Mr. Guinness. Within walking distance is the stunningly beautiful 550-acre Castletown estate for walks along rivers and lush greenery. We look forward to welcoming you whenever you are traveling in Ireland. Note: Please kindly note that there's stairs in the property. Earlier check-in is available on weekends. For weekdays please enquire about early check-in if needed. A little Bichon Frise puppy also lives here, hes is very friendly with people, he doesn't smell or shed hairs, he is also delighted to welcome you to our Airbnb.
  • Adrian and Joseph went above and beyond to make us comfortable with the breakfasts and offers of lifts to the airport and wedding venue. Joseph’s recommendations made our day in Dublin extra special. The room was lovely and spacious and the bed was very comfortable (we loved the electric blanket!!) Thank you so much! Lewis and Chloe :)

    Chloe2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was great. Clean, cozy and nice place. Adrian and Joseph were perfect hosts!

    Zuzana2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Adrian was very helpful with everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely. Will be back.

    Frank2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We never planned to stay with Adrian and Joseph, but a flight cancellation brought us together. And we're so glad it did! They were extremely hospitable, great commucators, and provided some much needed levity to a stressful logistical situation. The spare room is well appointed, clean, spacious, and overall quite comfortable. Celbridge is a quaint little town with great food and drink and Adrian knows it well so do not hesitate to ask for recommendations (Arthur Guinness brewed his first beer here!!) If we're ever back in Ireland this will likely be our first or last stop..or maybe both!! Simply great!

    Jake2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place and amazing hosts! Really enjoyed my stay and the breakfast.

    Kaatje2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Adrian and Joseph are excellent hosts! They really care of their guests and ensure that their guests feel at home. Again, I really enjoyed the morning breakfast...even for vegetarian there is something nice.

  • Adrian is a great host! Being a chef his breakfast is always really really good! I have started enjoying company of "Tiger" their pet is so adorable!

    Swapan2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Adrian was outside to greet us and went out of his way to make us comfortable on our last night in Ireland. In the morning he prepared us a beautiful breakfast and even helped with our luggage when it was time to leave. A very nice ending to a wonderful week.

  • Great stay

    John B2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • John's home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in the small town of Leixlip which has everything it needs. The bus stop 5 minutes from the house takes you to Dublin city center in 30-40 minutes. A few steps from the stop there is also a supermarket and a pharmacy. The train station is located 10 minutes from John's house. The room is large, with a double bed, bedside tables, wardrobes where you can place your clothes and a table. The ensuite bathroom has a fairly large and comfortable shower. John is always kind and helpful, he was a pleasant acquaintance. If we were to return to Ireland we would not hesitate to return to him.

My place is close to NUI Maynooth and Maynooth Town. You’ll love my place because of the location, comfort, and rural tranquility yet only less than a mile to Main Street, Maynooth.. My place is ideal for COUPLES, TRIPLES and FOUR PEOPLE.
Our enormous master bedroom with en-suite and walk-in wardrobe easily accommodates 4 people with a king size bed and our very comfortable double sofa bed. If you're a double it works as a sofa to relax. This is NOT A TWIN ROOM. If you wish to have both beds made up YOU MUST BOOK FOR 3 OR 4 PEOPLE. If you book for 2 people we make up ONLY 1 BED.
If you like rural tranquility yet want to be close to a vibrant town then you will love Laraghbyran.

  • The beautiful house of Eamon is located 2 km from the center of Maynooth which in turn is 25 km from Dublin, easily reachable by train or bus. The center of Maynooth is also reachable on foot along a channel away from traffic and safer. When booking it makes us feel more comfortable to know bit about you: basic travel details & reason for staying. Typical guest comes for work/college rather than social events. Check in: between hours 6pm & 21.30pm. We are nice, quiet & busy family of 3. NOTE: No Breakfast.
It is a very comfortable mattress. Blinds are black out blinds ensuring a nice sleep. Not ensuite bathroom. The main bathroom will be all yours. As family we have our ensuite bathroom. HOT PRESS: hot water and pump for shower: WE are glad to announce we now have a great power shower that is powered by a switch in the hot press. Ensure we explain all this to you at the time of check in. In Ireland we do no have instant hot water, we will explain how this works, again this involves a wee tour of the Hot Press. Make sure the pump is switched on before you jump in the shower or else it will be a trickle shower. WE are happy to give people a jug of water. Just ask and we can also give a flask of hot water and herbal tea for your room.

  • We loved this place! Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Amazing location - truly out in the Irish countryside, but just a quick trip from Dublin. Comfy bed, huge(!) bathtub. Host was friendly, made a great, full breakfast, and gave us a perfect recommendation for our first day trip. House was beautiful, set in a beautiful location. This is, to me, what Air BnB ought to be!

    Robert2019-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely place! It was a dashing visit for us but would love to come back in daylight and have a better look at Jim’s amazing house!

  • Sandra was an excellent host, keeping in contact and checking that we had everything we needed. There were plenty of utensils and a great selection of pod coffees for the machine. The main bed was plenty big for all 3 of us and the towels were big and soft. The place was perfect for our little group, two adults and a baby.

  • This is a must stay Airbnb. So close to multiple walking trails, a few steps to Aldi, and just enough outside of Dublin to get some breathing room. So many thoughtful touches went into this space and the host is remarkable to work with.

  • Brilliant, beautiful, big space surrounded by nature. We enjoyed canal walks. The WiFi didn’t work very well for us and limited 3G made online stuff tricky but we didn’t check with the owners as just there for a short stay, so maybe that’s something (WiFi signal strength) that’s easily fixed. Otherwise the place was truly wonderful and immaculate with a lovely clean style. Super comfortable bed and everything you needed in the kitchen. Super friendly hosts.

    Amanda2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • David and Sophie were wonderful hosts. We couldn’t have asked for more! Such nice people and an impeccable place to stay. We will be recommending to our friends for sure. Thank you so much!

  • Really cute place in an amazing scenery. It has got everything you need, easy access to Dublin and David is really friendly and we felt really welcomed!

    Aurélie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I spent the last week at David's "The Little Ark" which was extremely cozy, in a fantastic location and all around a great vacation stay. David was quick to communicate with any questions and everything we needed from an amenities stand was there. I strongly recommend, close to major highways for touring the country, but also tucked away perfectly into the countryside to escape any major city feels. Loved it!

Stay in converted stables, in an old world setting, at Moyglare House, built in 1760, which we have been restoring over the last three years. Near Maynooth, a bustling university town with great restaurants and close to Dublin, there is lots to see and do. Just to explain - price is for 2 people in one double bedded room. IF THE BOOKING IS FOR 2 PEOPLE AND YOU NEED 2 SEPARATE BEDROOMS, PLEASE FILL IN A REQUEST FOR 3 PEOPLE.
We live in a very historic place in a beautiful setting. We have four dogs and two outdoor cats - all friendly. The accommodation consists of a living room/ kitchen area with a stove and heating. There are two double bedrooms with ensuite's, each with its own entrance, as has the kitchen/living area. If you need both bedrooms for two people please key in 3 guests to get rate.
Kildare is famous for its horse industry, great racecourses to attend. Great golf also, we are close to Carton House, which also has an adventure park and spa. The area we live in is close to the canal system and is super for cycling or walking. There are many historical sites to visit ranging from Castletown House to Newgrange. We are only 20 minutes from Tattersalls (fairyhouse racecourse).
  • An amazing old home! What a labor of love to restore it! We loved exploring the local area from such an interesting base! Thankyou Angela & Malcolm.

    Jill2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay! Thank you Angela

    Rebecca2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely area; cattle on the side of driveway leading to apartment. Angela & Spencer were very gracious, and helped us w/ directions. They have done a nice job converting the stable to a living area. Yes, you go in a separate door to get to the kitchen, but it is easy to get used to. We stayed 3 nights, going into Dublin on train 2 of those days. €9 each for a round-trip from Maynooth; ~10 mins to drive to station & park (€4 to park). Worth it for us not to deal w/paying for and finding parking in Dublin. Wish we had scheduled one more day so could have strolled around Maynooth. Kitchen had all we needed to prepare our breakfasts and lunches. Shower sufficiently large to get hair washed. WiFi works well in kitchen/ living area. Alerted hosts that WiFi in bedroom a bit flaky.

  • What a wonderful place to stay! The cottage is situated in tge grounds of a beautiful old country estate with rolling hills on all sides. Angela and Malcolm were a joy to meet. They were super friendly and welcoming and incredibly obliging in every sense. The accommodation itself was spacious, with a really comfortable bed, a well stocked kitchen and sparkling clean. This place is a gem within eady reach of Dublin, Kildare and loads of tourist attractions. 5 star *****

    Alison2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful AirBnB experience — where else can you be so close to Dublin yet out in the peace and quiet of the country? Unique and comfortable quarters, very nice thoughtful hosts. We stayed three nights, took the train in to Dublin from Maynooth each morning — very easy and no parking hassles in the city that way! Would definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area.

    Bill2019-08-09T00:00:00Z

    Harel2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation in an absolutely stunning setting. Friendly, approachable and helpful hosts who also showed us round the "big house" too and educated us about the local history which was a lovely touch to finish off our stay. The amenities were fantastic and Angela & Malcolm were the perfect hosts. A real gem!

    Nat2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Angela's place was such a beautiful stay, we loved that there was a fully stocked kitchen where we were able to cook. She left eggs and bread for us for the morning which was very kind. Angela and her husband are such lovely people and were very accommodating, they helped us with what ever we needed. We enjoyed the fireplace the last night we stayed, and their dogs were so friendly. We really enjoyed staying here, would definitely recommend this stay

  • Dee is the definition of a wonderful host! The chalet was incredibly cute and incredibly clean. Dee herself was a pleasure to be around. She provided us with local tips, quick responses, and even drove us herself to the station we needed to catch our bus at! I felt very welcomed in her environment and I 100% recommend her to anybody looking to stay in the surrounding Dublin area. I loved everything about it.

    Jackie2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Dee’s chalet so much! The chalet was very clean and cozy! It is located in a nice, safe neighborhood. There is a wonderful path near Dee’s that we could walk to get to some shops, restaurants, and to get the bus into Dublin. There was a spot on the street in her neighborhood to park my rental car and I didn’t need to worry about it at all. Dee’s was a perfect place to stay for our trip to Ireland! Thank you Dee!!!

    Nancy2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • Would always recommend this “charlet”! Dee is a lovely and charming host and has always tips what you should enjoy in Ireland. If you need anything, she’ll help you even if she’s in between Zumba classes ;) The house is small but for up to 3-4 person optimally. It’s outside Dublin but you still have everything around what you need like supermarket, bars and restaurant. Logically it’s very quiet and you’ll be awaked by all the birds in the area. Ireland as Dublin and its nature land is very beautiful. Highly recommend the Wicklow national park. Advise from us: rent a car! Things that could be improved at the charlet: Shower is very small and you don’t have a heating place to cook But I’d still give 5/5 stars !

    Nadine2019-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place to stay - 5 star all the way.

  • Dee’s place is lovely, and is located in such a wonderful area. Accessible transport links to and from Dublin. Dee is a great host and her cabin is everything you need for a perfect break and it’s really cosy. The cabin is absolutely pristine too. Dee left us with really helpful tips for our stay also. Best Air B&B we have stayed in, by a long shot. Thanks again Dee!

  • Dee is a great host who really cares about her guests. She welcomed us warmly. We stayed 5 days in Celbridge. Most time we discovered Irland. In the short time we were in the Chalet, it gaves us everything we needed to have a nice time. Small but nice and exactly like the Pictures show. We recommend Dees Guidebook for Celbridge.

  • Our stay at Angela's was a beautiful scenic escape 5 minutes away from the University town of Maynooth and Maynooth Castle. The guest suite was absolutely beautiful with everything necessary for a cozy and comfortable stay. We only stayed two nights but we felt like we could move in. Both Angela and her husband were welcoming and provided tips of where to eat and how to get around town if you didn't want to use your car, even though parking was convenient if you have one. We will definitely be staying here again and I have already recommended it to my family and friends! Thanks Angela for a fabulous stay!

  • This place is beautiful. The hosts were both friendly and very informative. The family pets will give you a warm welcome too. The location is about 8 minutes in a car from the centre of maynooth and very peaceful. The pictures do not do the place justice, it is so well stocked with cooking utensils and everything you could need to throw a dinner party for 6 people. Overall if you are thinking of a quite , relaxing place that isn't too far from Dublin airport (25minutes) check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

  • I had a great stay in Fionnuala's home. She is everything you'd want in an Airbnb host - friendly, respectful of your space, and committed to ensuring that you have a great stay. She also told me about how to make Toad-in-the-Holes for all my future breakfast needs, so I'm very grateful for that. Highly recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

  • Fionnuala hosted me for a night while I worked in NUI Maynooth. She was very nice and helpfull. The bedroom and the bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was amazing, many different cereals and breads, jams, orange juice, yogourths... It was a real pleasure to stay in her house. Moreover, her house is well located in a peacefull area close to a bus 66 station linking Maynooth to the center of Dublin.

  • The house is located in a very charming and quiet area of Celbridge. The hosts were very welcoming and the breakfast was quite varied. Room was very clean and it had a private bathroom with warm water running all the time. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I enjoyed my stay here. I would definitely recommend it.

  • The perfect place to stay a few days, everything was very clean and the hostess makes you feel at home, helped me in everything I needed. Better than a hotel. The place is very quiet and is very well. Surely repeat. Fionnuala's very nice of the best I've found.

    Lucia2015-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice room, very clean with its own bathroom. Fionnuala was very friendly and made a great breakfast the next day. I would stay here again.

  • Mary is a wonderful host. I was greeted warmly and made feel welcome in her lovely home. She went above and beyond – providing me with a desk to work from in the evenings, and even thoughtfully wrapping abandoned biscuits in tinfoil in my absence. Her airbnb is easy to recommend!

  • Excellent host, central and friendly

    Peter2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was an amazing host, the house was very clean and close to the airport and easy access to Dublin. Would definitely recommend.

  • Mary is a great and very nice hostess. As a starting point for the environment in and around Dublin an ideal place.

    Klaus2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, very friendly, and did everything possible to make us feel welcomed. It is well located about 30 minutes from Dublin airport on the west of Dublin which is perfect for those travelling towards the west.

    Richard2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience with Mary was excellent. She was the perfect host. Her preparation for guests was exemplary. Her home is welcoming with tea, coffee Irish scones and jam in the guests private lounge. Breakfast was delicious with yoghurt, cereal, great fruit homemade Irish bread and marmalade.she succeeded in making it a great time.

    Jane2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • As it was our first time to use airbnb, we were feeling a little bit anxious, but it turned out to be a pleasant experience. Mary was friendly and kind. We were satisfied with the room which was spacious and clean.

    Toru2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • This B & B is located a bit far away from Maynooth University where we needed to go. It is about 30 min bus ride and it is not right in the centre of Celbridge either. The good news is, the bus stops very close to the house, but it only goes every 30 min. If you forget to flag it down, you will miss it as we experienced. The room was quite spacious and very clean, but a little chilly, even though Mary turned on the radiator. The bathroom had good water pressure and a nice hot shower but the room was chilly. Mary is a very attentive host, she served us scones and tea on our arrival and provided lots of helpful tips. She also agreed to pick us up from the bus stop in a town that was 8 km away. Breakfast was cereals, toast and marmelade, coffee, juice and tea and yoghurt. We had to leave early in the morning, so Mary left everything out for us. We could also use a separate sitting room.

  • Lara Farm is a wonderful place to spend a few days. It's peaceful and homely, with ample private living space - a large double room, spotless ensuite bathroom, and a small private sitting room (with gas fire for those chilly winter nights). You also have use of the kitchen (with Aga). It's ideally located for Maynooth or Dublin, with the Wicklow hills also only a short drive away. Jim is a superb host, his breakfasts are a real highlight, and he is full of suggestions for things to do. I felt well looked after during my time there - thank you!

    Mark2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jim was absolutely lovely! He offered to drive us to town so we didn’t have to taxi both ways and the home is SO beautiful. He also made us breakfast and chatted with us a lot but knew when to give us our own space. Nailed the balance. Would happily stay there again!

    Gabrielle2019-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • A first class place to stay.

    Garry2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really great experience staying at a stud farm and absolutely beautiful country home! It is in Maynooth a bit of travel into Dublin but very easy by the train. I would definitely say it was worth it and Jim was an exceptional host and a very knowledgeable and interesting host. Do yourself a favor and stay here you won’t regret it.

    Melinda2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jim’s home is lovely and in a very peaceful area. The room was large, had beautiful furniture and the bed had an exceptionally cozy duvet. The en-suite bathroom was also large and for those who love taking a bath - an oversized bath tub. Breakfast was fantastic. Jim was very helpful with suggestions and tips about what to do locally.

    Teresa2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jim is the perfect host, although we did not meet he left us thoughtful notes and great tips for our stay. The room is lovely, very spacious and Great view. Very comfortable bed (although perhaps not the best for people taller than 1m85!). Thank you Jim!

    Pauline2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks. Jim was super friendly and he went out of his way to show us his foal and mare. WiFi was an issue from our front bedroom but didn’t cause to much issue. A potential idea for the Future is to have a tv in the room should guests need to use it. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was brilliant. The room was a great size too. Thanks for a great stay

  • Jim is one of the BEST Airbnb hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying with. He was easy to communicate with, had a beautiful space for us to stay in, and helped us make the most of our trip in his area. You definitely need to stay with Jim if you’re passing through Maynooth!

  • Fantastic setting for a lovely stay. Really enjoyed our stay

    Brendan2019-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • Experiencing this place during the off-season took none of the luster off the setting; in fact, it enhanced the experience. No doubt this wonderful venue is the place to be during the summer months, with the docks with boats at the ready, the many available places to enjoy a waterside BBQ, the calming farm animals intermixed with the cute dogs sure to bring smiles to the faces of the sternest family members, and multiple well-maintained units with beautiful stone facades. And don’t forget the peacock and peahen! However, being there in the off-season allowed us to savor the setting strictly on its own merits at our own pace. When we texted a picture to our daughter she summed it up perfectly - “What a bucolic setting!” It was the perfect place to wrap up our fast-paced travels around Ireland, allowing us to relax in charm and comfort, not to mention a dash of little kid whimsy after Brian shared the secret of magically opening the stately iron gates with a 21st century “Open sesame!” And speaking of Brian, he was extremely welcoming. We appreciated his unsolicited proactive action when the local water utility experienced a maintenance issue which called for all residents to boil their water before use. Great place, great people; we highly recommend staying here any time of the year!

    Connie2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a hard time figuring out the hot water for the shower. Everything else was exceptional. They left us with a basket of treats that came in very handy at the end of a long day. Loved our stay. Would ten in ten recommend. The animals and the views were better than I had expected.

    Maggie2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and outstanding hospitality. If you want to visit Ireland in a different way, this is the place to stay in.

    Lázaro2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Ah what can I say - Pure fascination to spend a weekend at this place! Unforgettable experience, very friendly and hospitable owners, huge estate with big garden, animals like in Zoo, river, pedal boat, very well equipped gym, spotless and very well furnished houses. Highly recommend to spend at least one night and you will live part of your heart up there and without any doubt come back again and again.

    Maxim2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • One word - fantastic!! By far our best Airbnb experience to date, everything was perfect! We were greeted by Sean’s Dad, Brian, who showed us around and gave us great local tips and advice! The grounds of the Airbnb exceeded all expectations and we particularly enjoyed the paddle boats, it felt like we were truly on holidays!! The Maisonette was beautiful and comfortable and there were so many lovely little touches like a welcome basket containing all the essentials!! We visited Leixlip visit and Castletown house and everybody we met along the way was so friendly and helpful!! All in all we had a fantastic weekend and will deffo be back very soon (truth be told we were looking up dates to book again before we even left!! Thanks so much for everything!!! 😊

Very convienient location, within easy reach of Dublin city, short walk from house to bus stop and train nearby. Close to M50 for travel all over Ireland. Early Georgian, circa 1740. Please note this is an old house with a lived in feel. Most of our guests like that. Please do not come if you are looking for modern and spotless accomodation! To stay in houses like this usually costs a lot more than we charge. Our price is reflective of the fact that our bathrooms while totally functional are not of the latest up to date mode. If you are looking for that please do not come and then complain afterwards. You have been warned! What you will get is comfortable accommodation in a friendly, historic, eclectic and unique house. Two double bedrooms are currently offered as bed and breakfast, one with ensuite bathroom and the other with a private bathroom (bath) near the bedroom. Fully cooked breakfast included in price. Wifi available (free). Short walk into village where you will find restaurants, pubs and cafes. Local shop for papers. Dublin airport is about 30 mins away. The Leixlip Festival takes place every June bank Holiday Weekend Where you'll find lots of live entertainment in pubs, several open-air concerts, and there os also a street carnival. The theme for the festival is 'The Arrival of the Vikings' . Leixlip Castle. dates back from 1172, and is one of the oldest continuously-inhabited buildings in Ireland, pre-dating Dublin Castle by 30 years. Definitely worth a visit too! Review : " Perfect balance between relaxing getaway and city trip. I doubt if better value is to be found in the general Dublin area." April 2012

    John2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Caroline's enthralling period house. The character and decor of her home is fascinating. The hospitality and kindness I received much surpassed a typical Air B and B experience. I was made feel very welcome and immediately offered a cup of tea in the elegant dining room. The house is very peaceful with zero outside noise. The bedroom was spacious, wonderfully decorated with a large en suite bathroom and very comfortable bed. The house is in close proximity to the M50 and motorway routes. Breakfast was beautifully presented in the dining room with fine bone china which was an appreciated touch! Caroline is a pleasure to deal with and I will certainly stay again and recommend to friends. Thank you again for a great stay!

  • Ita’s guests house is a lovely place. She is very kind and the rooms are warm and spotless. For women like me, who travel on their own, it’s a nice place to stay where you won’t feel uncomfortable. Just remember that you’ll need to take a taxi if you are going to uni, as it’s not too close. Taxi to uni costs 7/8 euros and to town 6. In spring or in the summer, however you might not need a taxi.

  • This is a wonderful, quiet location and the room plus hospitality are exceptional. The airport shuttle to Maynooth stops fairly close by. Lots of extra touches made this a fantastic stay and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the plate of scones and biscuits on arrival, the juice/smoothie in the fridge, to the chocolate bars to eat with a tea or coffee. The welcome was perfect, the house is really beautiful and I'd consider this a rare find in the Maynooth area. Just outside the village, but close to a large Tesco Extra. Not a long walk into the centre of the village with its restaurants and bars (maybe 10 minutes).

Mick was very helpful when I had car problems, arranging things with a local garage for me. This is a quiet location in the country, but only 10 minutes or so from the university town of Maynooth where trains get you to the heart of Dublin. Highly recommend, I will be staying again!

  • It's a beautiful place in kilcloon which is at 7km from Maynooth. A place to escape for a weekend or a holiday. The hospitality from Jacinta and Michael is amazing and they help you out with anything you may need. They helped us out with this new city. You can also bring your horses here along with you for the stay, there's a staple for them. There's no bus to the place but you could use a lift from the host or book a local taxi. Just go for it, Cheers!
