  • What an absolutely gorgeous Air b&b! Its always so hard to write an outstanding review without rambling on! But all I can say is, gorgeous house, perfect views, fab hosts, easy relaxed check in and fantastic value for money. This home had everything we needed, kitchen was well equipped and hosts have thought of everything. Our children loved the games, it was a quality break away. The pier out the front is beautiful and the village is just gorgeous too. Two lovely pubs, we went into both, our fave was Alders, gorgeous Guinness. Lovely local church and old abbey ruins which we enjoyed walking around. Lots of friendly people in the area, down the road is stables where we met Paddy, Paudie and Dan with their friendly owner! Lovely playground just a walk away. The hosts really made our New Year with a lovely welcome pack, we are planning a visit back ASAP and my daughter is busy planning her gift for the house! Thanks guys, Tara, Paul, Macey and Ronan xx

  • John's place is a warm comfortable townhouse in the very friendly, welcoming village of Kildysart Ireland. John is a GREAT host and EXCELLENT with fast communication. Check in was super easy. John was very thoughtful in leaving bread, milk and butter for us on our arrival which was really great because I had milk for my all important coffee the next morning. Kildysart was an excellent starting place to see all the awesome sites in Clare county and the counties around it. We visited the Cliffs of Moher and Castles and Abbeys in all directions. We visited the Ring of Carry which I HIGHLY recommend and you MUST also visit the Ring of Skellig which is a side route on the Ring of Carry. The MOST BEAUTIFUL Cliffs are on the Ring of Skellig so when you are traveling it look for the signs for the most spectacular cliffs in Carry and you won't be disappointed and they are well worth the pretty short trek from the car EVEN for Chronic pain sufferers like my wife and I AND don't stop until you went to ALL the viewing points in the order they suggest, the last stop is truly the money shot and then turn around and see the awesome view inland. Last but NOT least be sure to travel through the Killarney National Park which is on the inland part of the ring of Carry. We also visited Cork and enjoyed it very much. Thank you John for the great time, if we are in the area again we will have a second stay!

  • My hubby and I loved this property, the village and the surrounding area. Very quiet location. Well equipped spacious house with lovely open fire and sunny kitchen diner. Plenty of pots, pans, glasses, crockery etc which is sometimes lacking in some properties. Felt like a real home from home with a very cosy atmosphere. 2min walk to local shops which are well stocked. Lovely surrounding countryside. Perfect if you want a quiet and relaxing holiday.

  • A lovely house, felt very at home straight away. Very clean and well equipped. Self check in was very easy and well explained. Communication with John was fast and friendly. Lovely extra touches such as fresh bread and milk left for me on arrival. Was fortunate to get some lovely Irish sun so the garden was great to sit out in. Set in a lovely little village, is rural but shops, pubs and restaurants just 2mins down the road and an easy car journey to some beautiful sites around County Clare. Lots of great advice of where to visit supplied in the house. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

  • Johns place was a lovely comfy townhouse, in a small village in beautiful setting. The house had everything you wanted, and John was great at keeping in touch both before and during our stay. Eggs, juice, milk and bread was provided for our arrival. Would recommend both house and area. WiFi was great, and local shop, Centra, has everything you want.

This is a converted barn, two bedrooms upstairs kitchen and living room downstairs. Two bathrooms, and a sauna. 10 minutes walk to the village Kildysert. View over the river Shannon and its estuary.
  • A really nice place for a cocooning time. You can spend your time in the sauna, or ask Marian some advices for visiting the area. She advices us a walk in Kilkee where there is nice cliffs to see (and it's free!) and we've spent a really good time there. I recommend +++

Crown Country Cottage is located in the heart of Co. Clare in the village of Lissycasey only 30 minutes from Shannon Airport and Irelands Wild Atlantic Way, on the N68 between the towns of Ennis and Kilrush. Also only 20 mins from the Killimer Car Ferry. A tranquil paradise for travelers on route to Irelands Wild Atlantic Way or for those who simply want a quiet country getaway. Crown Country Cottage has been in the Halpin clan for over a century and it is our pleasure to share it with you!
Crown Country Cottage is as authentic an experience of Irish country living as you can get without having to Freeze! This house belonged to my parents- Paddy and Mary Halpin though it has had some cosmetic work done since those days. With Crown Lake right out front and a commercial peat Bog at the rear you are surrounded by the beauty of nature. This Bog is in fact where the fuel source (Turf) that heats your stove comes from. On arrival, there will be a bottle of wine and fresh scones sitting on the table. Build yourself a roaring fire while the wine breathes.
The Famous thatched pub Fanny O Deas- Irelands oldest family run pub (Famous for 'The Egg Flip'- a closely guarded secret recipe) is just a mile and a half over the road. If you plan on having a few, if we can, we would be delighted to drop you off. Talty’s Mace is a delightful and award winning local supermarket with artisan foods, great coffee, liquor department and all the essentials you could need. Its just a mile and a half over the road. The Lissycasey Cascades Loop is located in the village of Lissycasey, gateway to West Clare. The loop is an easy 3.7km walk through a local beauty spot which is also part of the 30 acre Lissycasey Ecology Park. Childrens playground also within 2 minutes drive of the Cottage.
  • A very charming house; An exceptional welcome; Lots of touches of attention (peat fire lit in the stove when we arrived, bottle of wine to chamber, scones and everything for breakfast the next day)

  • Fantastic hosts, beautiful Irish home with all the amenities you need, will definitely stay again.

    John2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Geraldine and Aidan gave us such a warm Irish welcome. Yummy scones and jam on our arrival and a bottle of wine too. The fridge was stocked with starter provisions and the amazing peat fire was roaring. The cottage is full of character and provides a cosy space. Aidan went above and beyond to look after us with a lift to and from Fanny O’Deas (which we can also recommend for meals, drinks and a warm fire). Each day we texted or phoned ahead with the time of our return and each day the peat-fire was lit and toasty. He was also on hand with recommendations for places to visit along with helpful directions. It was Halloween during our stay and on our return we had a themed welcome sign and spooky touches on the mantelpiece. If you want to experience true Irish hospitality then Crown Cottage is the place to stay. Thank you both so much.

  • Lovely clean, comfortable & cosy cottage, warm welcome with wine, scones & essentials in the fridge for breakfast.

  • Authentic irish cottage, burning peat for heat. Unlimited supply of peat, also with other heating. Well insulated, warm bed and quiet rural setting. Some traffic only in early morning and evening. Picturesque farm land. Wonderful hosts.

  • We absolutely loved Geraldine and Aidan! Their place was warm and inviting. They greeted us as one of the family. The bed was comfortable and there was a nice view out the back. Thank you so much! Loved the scones! Beth and Kyle

Idyllic rural country cottage set on a working farm and nestled in the Cranny hills. Located within driving distance of Gort Glass Lake and the picturesque village of Kildysart, with its many amenities including a lovely playground. Ideally located 30 mins from Ennis Town and 30 mins from the Maritime town of Kilrush. 20 mins to Killimer Car Ferry and the gateway to Co Kerry.
  • Mary was very welcoming and very communicative, so it was very easy to find the house. Mary and her husband welcomed us with a fire and gave us a lot of helpful recommandations for our trip. The house is very spacious, clean and has everything you need. The sunrise view on the fields is just perfect ! We would have loved to stay more. Thank you again !

  • The house was big, clean and tidy. Beautiful view.It is a quiet, nice and cozy place. I would recommend it for people who want to see the countryside and who likes quiet places. Mary is always ready to help with any questions and is very friendly.

  • The appartment was clean, bug and well equipped. The bed were comfortable too. Mary pay a lot attention when we arrive and let cake and milk's farm too in the fridge it was really appreciated. I recommand as a good rate quality price as a location for 1 or more days.

  • Mary is a great host. Her place is in beautiful countryside and has everything you need. Great location for trips around Clare - we visited Burren national park and The Cliffs of Moher. Good for families - Mary's children showed us around the farm.

    Klara2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Mary's place in the Irish countryside! The setting was peaceful - the only sound we heard was the wind through the trees - and the location was central for touring Shannon and Limerick, as well as the Western coast. The best part of the stay was visiting with Mary and her family! They made us feel very welcome, and we're hoping to return some day.

    Anessa2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • We slept with our family with 2 large children in Mary's house. Large enough, neat, and everything we needed was there. Nice view. Good place to visit Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. With the help of the Eircode that Mary sent us to find well. Furthermore, no nameplates or something. Great place.

    Marieke2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Loved being in the country! The view was so nice and peaceful. It was also great to have a washer and dryer to catch up on some laundry. Mary was there to meet us and show us around. Very kind host and even left some milk in the fridge and some cookies on the table for the kids. Our 4 kids enjoyed playing with her children and they were kind enough to share their outside toys.

    Bethany2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and spacious accommodations. We enjoyed arriving to having some shortbread cookies and tea. Also, having the opportunity to use the washing machine and dryer was a big plus.

The Cottage is located on the grounds of a former Rectory, now a family home, which dates back to 1827. It was originally a stable but has now been lovingly converted into a modern and comfortable space.
A spacious ensuite bedroom with King size bed upstairs, and a double sofa bed downstairs. Enjoy a morning coffee in the courtyard, or take a stroll around the mature gardens.
Askeaton, located on The Shannon Estuary Wild Atlantic way, has richness in history and ancient archaeological remains with a castle on a tiny island in the centre of the town which dates back to 1199 and a Franciscan Friary from 1389 which was founded by the 4th Earl of Desmond. The Castle was once the home of the Earls of Desmond known as the Kings of Munster. Get away from the sound of traffic and listen to the birds and bees. Meet the dogs, chickens and local donkeys. Explore the woodland it is a wildlife haven! Learn about organic gardening and sustainable living. Ryan's cottage is hidden away, but within a short drive of many beautiful coastal sites, beaches and charming villages. Within an hour's drive are the cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Ennis, Loop Head, Lahinch and many more attractions. We are just 40 mins away from Shannon Airport.
Your private double room is in a 200 year old traditional Irish farm cottage on a 1 acre haggard. Life here is still fairly rustic. I grow my own vegetables and fruit, and fresh eggs are laid daily by the chickens. We have a small woodland of mixed deciduous trees, perfect for the wildlife here. We have many species of birds here, and if you are lucky, you may spot a pine marten, fox, hare or badger. It is very secluded, with the nearest neighbour 2 km away. There is very limited public transport, so your own vehicle is essential.
We are surrounded by cattle grazing and some bogland. Down the quiet lane you can observe hundreds of species of wild flowers and plants in the natural hedgerows, and see the new calves and donkeys enjoying the peace. You may catch sight of one of the local hares or foxes. On a clear day, you can see across the Shannon to the Kerry mountains from the top of the hill.
  • Everything was very nice and beautiful:) highly recommend!

  • Jude was an amazing host and her cottage is absolutely beautiful. Tucked away off a small boreen the cottage and charming garden look like something from a fairytale. We also loved spending time with the two little dogs Nelly and Cleo who were an absolute joy. Highly recommend.

    Gerard2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Ryan’s cottage is an oasis of calm wildflowers, grassy tracks,a jumble of dogs and the warmth of Jude all blended together to create this little patch of heaven. Wonderful! We will be back.

  • Rayan Cottage is magical place which I fell in love at first sight. We spent only one night there, so we didn't have time to see to much around the house but inside is like a travel in time. Not too much modernity, but enough to comfortably spent time. Interior looked as inhabited by someone who love it and care about it, with a lot of details like old photo camera or notes of favorite song ;) We didint't meet Judy this time but I'm sure that her place is a mirrow her personality. I regret that we couldn't talk becouse looking at her place I'm sure she is very intresting person.

    Grzegorz2018-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Maybe not the smartest choice if your going by public transport but still worth it. Jude has been very nice and helpful. Her dogs are very nice and the house is just lovely! Great choice!

    Jochem2018-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Ryan’s Cottage was just wonderful !!! The room was big and everything was clean and cosy and lovely ! Jude is such a friendly and warm-hearted person. She showed us around her garden and told us a lot about gardening which really inspired us. We can totally recommend her cottage for some relaxing and refreshing days and for enjoying the nature and the animals. We will miss her and her dogs a lot !

    Anna2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Out of everywhere we stayed during our road swop around West Ireland, we loved Jude’s home best and feel like we’ve known Jude forever! Jude made us feel really comfortable and we loved talking to her about the history of Ryans’s Cottage. We fell in love with all of Jude’s animals who also welcomed us to their home with open arms (or paws) and we absolutely loved our visit to Fanny O’Deas which was recommended by Jude! We will definitely visit again! x

Tíg Barra is situated on The Shannon Estuary Drive, just off the Wild Atlantic Way. An idyllic rural setting with a private beach and a tree sheltered garden, full of interesting gems. The Estuary is a special protected area for wild birds and has beautiful light and views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, cyclists and business travellers.
You’ll love my place for the idyllic tranquil setting on the Shannon Estuary Bay, where you hear the curlew and see the egret. A place where you can relax and eat in a cozy kitchen. On arrival, I will meet and greet and show you the house and fascilities. Sometimes I stay in the house when I have guests, sometimes I stay in my studio attached to the house. I am a professional artist and available for private art classes.

  • Trudi has a beautiful haven here in West Clare! We throughly enjoyed our stay. The place is so comfortable and cosy and the stove just tops it off ! We would love to come back .

  • Trudi's house has a lot of character. The garden overlooks the Shannon Estuary. It is a beautiful place. Trudi is extremely warm and generous. I would return with pleasure.

    Christine2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • From the pre arrival contact, the meet and greet where we were shown around the garden as well as the house and the whole experience this place is well worth a stay. It is something very special made so by Trudi but also by where it is - a haven of tranquility with the most beautiful setting on the edge of the shannon where you can walk down to the waters edge and sit and watch the birds as well as the tide coming in. The facilities in the house are perfect and include things for a bad day (DVDs, books, log stove) as well as being able to experience the outside on nicer days. You will definitely want to stay longer if you choose to stay here and you will be sorry when you have to leave. A great find.

    Mary2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Warm welcome in a charming house at the edge of the water :) the quiet and the countryside ensure a good rest thanks to Trudi to contribute to the beautiful stay :)

The whole space has such an unique and special decor and ambience to enchant, interest and quiet every soul, both indoors and outdoors. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay WAY beyond our expectations and will most definitely return later this year - Trudi you rock, big time - we'll look forward to seeing you and of course Polly again soon! • I don’t know what to say! I have not come across two people as caring and thoughtful as John and Jackie. The place is a true rural cottage, everything is there and life can run at the 5 minute slower pace!! The house was spotless and lovely. I cannot do it justice in writing this review. All I can say is expect for life to slow down and enjoy it. Truly fabulous hosts.

  • The cottage is up a little narrow lane off the main road. It combines charm and convenience including a cosy wood burning stove for chilly evenings. A perfect spot to simply relax and get away from it all. Beautiful woodland walk nearby and well situated for heading off to explore Galway, the Burren and the Wild Atlantic Way. John our host exemplified the best in Irish welcomes and hospitality. Highly recommended for a perfect Irish getaway.

  • This cottage is a hidden gem that is so comfortable like a home from home. We felt extremely welcome from the moment we got there, John was so lovely and helped us settle in. The very generous food left for us was just lovely. The evenings by the fire were just gorgeous. The kids loved the place and nearby park and nature to run around. I would recommend this lovely cottage and to visit the Alpaca sanctuary in (the flying alpaca) in kilkee (30min drive) great fun! The local amenities were perfect and the local pub fanny o’deas was great craic!

  • Lovely welcome from Frances, in horrible rainy and windy weather, with excellent pancakes and tea that warmed us up well. The house is large, as is the bedroom on the 1st floor. Frances was attentive and gave us extra blanket as it was cold. Frances gave us a lot of advice on her region and areas of interest. Unfortunately, we could not do everything for lack of time

  • What a great place to stay! Gill was very kind, welcoming and thoughtful. She had tea and treats for us. We enjoyed talking with her. Her home is beautiful! Great rain shower head and the beds were so cozy. She made homemade bread, amongst other things for breakfast and all was delicious! We enjoyed hearing good stories around the breakfast table and seeing the land, horses and her dog, included. She even gave us a scenic route drive to our next destination. This was a true Irish experience! We left feeling like a new friend was made.

  • Ringmoylan Mill is a magical place on the River Shannon. Gill is the most perfect hostess. She set us off each day with a list of places to see and do, and they were all perfect. We would never have gone to any of them, not the usual tourist places, much better. Three days was too short, wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!

    Andrea2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Gill provides every possible thing you might need or want while on holiday-from interesting conversations to one of the prettiest views on the River Shannon. It is a very peaceful farm in the countryside and I most highly recommend a relaxing stay here! Terry

  • Gill is absolutely amazing! Her home is spotless and cozy, the beds are very comfortable and the bath towels are soft and fluffy. She has fabulous recommendations for places to eat and places to visit that aren’t over crowded with tourists. She made us a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon, Irish bread, coffee and juice. My daughter is vegan and Gill made it a point to make sure she had everything for her eat. They even made bread together for her. Which was delicious!

  • We Flew into Shannon and stayed will Gill on our first night in Ireland. The airlines had lost our luggage and we were delayed by many hours. Gill was so accommodating and communication was excellent. Upon arriving after 2 awful days of travel Gill’s place was an oasis. She was so welcoming and friendly, I wish we could’ve stayed longer. The bed was soooo comfortable and the room clean, quiet and restful. Just what we needed. After all that, Gill herself was the best part of our stay. Such a lovely woman, we could’ve spent hours chatting with her. She opened her home and her heart to us and we are so grateful to her. Also fantastic tips on what to do around the area. This was our first Airbnb experience and I don’t think anything will top it. Ever. Thank you so much Gill!!!

    Danny2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was an incredible place to base our stay on the west coast of Ireland. It is well located to explore the Ring of Kerry within a day (a very full day) and an easier trip to Iveragh peninsula to the north. Gill is an incredible host. She gave us great driving directions for the two days of touring. We changed our original plans based on her recommendations, and we are so glad we did! We had originally planned to drive the RoK clockwise to avoid bus traffic (a tip we'd read online), but Gill let us know what a terrifying drive that would be for us on small roads past tour buses. Having her advice on this and other ways to avoid tourist traps were immeasurably helpful. She also makes a wonderful and filling breakfast for us each of the three mornings we were there. It was incredible. We loved staying here.

  • Cathy's place is so adorable. It's a very cute little cottage and the view from the back door is beautiful. It really felt like a home away from home while we stayed there. To be honest we wished we'd stayed there the full two weeks we were in England and Ireland. Cathy's neice, Emma, was such a help with explaining how everything worked and where everything was located in the house! (The added stickie note reminders were lovely as well!) They have amazing hospitality and brought us some fresh eggs and Irish Soda Bread twice during our stay which was wonderful! Cathy also sent us a message about all the sights to see around the area before our trip started which was a great way to plan some new stops along the way as well. It's a great location if you want to enjoy the scenery and there are castles everywhere around to stop and visit! Thank you both so much for our amazing stay!

  • Of all the places we stayed during our Ireland trip (4!), this was by far the best. The whole family was excited, when we first entered the house. I really recommend to plan your trip so that you have a chance to stay here. The house is very stylish, comfortable and well equiped, even a first aid kit and refillable water bottle is there! The place is not very big, but perfect for a family with kids. Easy to find and easy to check in. The homemade bread and eggs in the kitchen upon our arrival made us feel very welcome.

  • Lovely house. Super nice house-owner. Great experience. |˛˙꒳˙)♡ Location: Wonderful place to enjoy a peaceful and joyful vacation. With the extremely detailed directionas from the house-owner Cathy, we easily found the house in the middle of night. (Tips: remember to read Cathy's Location Direction in the order note in Airbnb, it really helpful) Also, it take just 15-20mins to drive to the nearest town to have dinner or buy some groceries, with peaceful rural scenery all the way. House Condition: The house is lovely in so many ways. It is tasteful, cozy and fashionable. It is well designed, well decorated and well equiped with all the kitchen gears and cooking necessities. WiFi is good. The laundry room is in the smaller building in the backyard. Also, we appreciate the effort the house-owner makes for protecting the environment by adopting garbage classification method. General Experience: Just prefect. Feels like home. Before our arrival, the house-own Cathy send many helpful tips about the direction, the weather and the interesting place to visit. In addition, she prepared a hugh special homemade soda bread (really delicious!), lot of organic eggs (from her family's farm), milk , sauces and many cooking necessities for us. We have never meet a house owner who makes so many efforts to try to make the guests feel like be in home! In general, it is a wonderful choice for familys and couples to spend the vacation. And we will choose to stay here again when we travel to Ireland.

  • Marion the host is a wonderful lady who adds many nice gestures to the house to make us feel welcomed. There was a food hamper with crisps and wafers waiting for us, a fruit basket, a carton of milk and even a pot of parsley by the kitchen sink to let us cook with fresh herbs! All these made our comfortable. There were also the lady slippers provided that were so cute!

  • The house made you feel like it should. It made you feel like you were in Ireland. It was comfortable and cozy. You couldn’t ask for a better host.

    David2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great house..liked the gift basket and the many "little things" that made the stay enjoyable..like juice and milk, tea and sugar..no need to bring these when checking in..all in all, we would gladly stay again.

    Robert2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We found this place to be as advertised. The fire was going when we checked in and the basket of goodies was appreciated. Marion met us and explained everything. It was a great place to visit Ennis, Galway and the Cliffs of Moher and an easy coomute to the Shannon airport

    Dave2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Marion and her property.

  • Frederick's place was exactly what we needed. All the ammenities you would need in a great location to explore the rest of the west coast of Ireland. Frederick was a thorough host and made us feel welcome. The pictures do not really do the place justice, it was quite a bit larger than expected. Thanks Fred.

  • The apartment looks better than in photo. There are all that you need. We were afraid that all apartments in Ireland are cold, but there were very warm in this house due to a good heating. We parked our car near the door. We arrived by night and Frederick met us and gave us all instruction about house. The beds are soo comfortable!!! as a big blue cloud - we slept better that at home. we are totally recommend you this apartment! Dear Frederick, thanks a lot!

Our house is located right on the Shannon estuary, in the quiet village of Labasheeda in West Clare. It's a beautiful setting any time of the year, rain, hail or shine. You can use our house as a base to travel and explore the beautiful West coast of Ireland...alternatively you can relax in Labasheeda..there are lovely country roads ideal for walking or cycling.
Our place is spacious and warm and lovely to just relax in, listen to some music, read a book or maybe get out your paints. Guests who have stayed here in the past have found our house, with its location beside the river Shannon, very peaceful ... it is perfect to relax in and unwind while also being a perfect location to explore the Wild Athlantic Way and the Shannon Estuary Way. ~Where our guests like to visit~ ~The Burren..caves..perfumery..walks ~Cliffs of Moher & Lahinch beach ~Kilkee beach and cliffs ~Loop Head & Lighthouse & the Bridges of Ross ~Galway City ~Dingle & the Ring of Kerry (we are 15 mins to the car ferry) ~Bunratty castle & folk village ~Doolin and Ennis for traditional music ~Labasheeda is a prime location for exploring the Shannon Estuary Way ... 'this area of remarkable natural beauty is where Ireland's longest river ~ the mighty Shannon flows into the azure water of the Athlantic ocean'
Labasheeda is a small farming village in West Clare, situated alongside the Shannon estuary which offers beautiful views, stillness, bird life and if your're lucky, you might spot a dolphin. In Irish, Labasheeda translates into 'bed of silk' leaba meaning bed and sioda meaning silk. Legend has it that a ship got into difficulty on a stormy night sailing up the Shannon and took refuge in a bay in Labasheeda. The captain and crew had such a peaceful nights rest that they called it The bed of Silk! There is a Catholic church in the village, a post office, a primary school, and a pub with a small grocery store in front. Labasheeda is a quiet, friendly village and a lovely place to just take some time out. The nearest pharmacy and mini supermarket are ten minutes away and the bigger supermarkets, bank, health food store etc., are 20 mins away
  • If you want peace and quiet, a lovely warm comfortable place to stay, stunning Irish scenery and a picturesque drive, then this is the place for you. There is plenty to see and Tom and Mairead provide good advice about where to go for walks and views etc. Lovely warm welcome, very accommodating hosts.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Mairead's place. I highly recommend it! The space was very clean and cozy. The views were so relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed exploring during the day and then making dinner in the kitchen in the evening. Mairead was a wonderful host. We hope to stay again in the future.

  • Stunning home in a beautiful location. I loved reading my book outdoors listening to the birds on the estuary. The children had great space to play in the garden.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Tom met us upon arrival and gave us plenty of tips of what to see and do. Definitely take his advice, he was spot on! The house was very clean and a few things were in the fridge for our arrival which was a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable and the views were stunning. Thanks again, highly recommend this home and would love to come back again.

    Tanja2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great view from the house out on to the Shannon Estuary, with the doors open you can sit and relax with a cup of tea, listening to the birds whilst watching the ships go by. House is spotless and has all the amenities that you need. Easy access to the rest of Clare and the Shannon ferry is within a half an hour if you want to take the ferry to Kerry. Definitely take a trip to Carrigaholt and take a trip and see the dolphins with Dolphinwatch. Loop Head is a also a must see and this includes the Bridges of Ross.

  • This is a lovely house, in a calm area, with a beautiful view on the Shannon estuary. The house was very clean and comfortable, and has a lot of sun light. It was very pleasant with children who enjoyed the games and the space. The county Clare is also a beautiful place to visit. For sure, a location we recommend to visit and stay in.

  • Amanda's house is a gorgeous place to stay, especially if you like country life and dogs. It is just as beautiful as the pictures. My dog and I were made very welcome, couldn't have been better. I was sorry to leave as everything was so comfortable.

  • Amanda is a lovely hostess. We thoroughly enjoyed our visits with her, and followed her great suggestions for sight seeing. Her friendly animals of all kinds made the 18th century farmhouse come to life! The beds are very comfortable, and the bathroom is perfect for a relaxing soak. The breakfasts she prepared for us (with French pressed coffee!) were perfect. When we return, I want more of her banana bread!

  • Amanda's place was an awesome location with lots of animals. All of her dogs were very friendly! The room was very nice and the bathroom was nice. I got to take a comfortable and relaxing bath :) She was very accommodating to make breakfast for my dad because he took a while doing laundry at the laundromat in the morning. She was flexible with the checkout time. She cleared space in her shed for us to park our motorcycles. She had great recommendations and suggestions for places for us to go to. She sent us to a restaurant where her son worked and the food was excellent! She was a very personable host. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would suggest following her directions precisely because you cannot see her house from the road. Thank you Amanda!

  • Amanda is a wonderful, wonderful hostess. It welcomes you extremely warmly. We talked a lot and these were very pleasant moments. If I return one day in the area, I go back to see her. • What can I say other than Kincora felt like home. The photos really don't do it justice. Brid was there to welcome us with lovely fresh croissants and to show us around. Kincora is a beautiful home with subtle little touches of it's history and the facilities were fantastic. I locked myself out a few minutes after Brid had left but within a few minutes of phoning Brid and explaining my predicament she came back to let me in. Staying at Kincora made our trip feel really special. Thank you Brid

  • The bar to measure the experience was that my 12 year old niece truly enjoyed the time together. The home was cosy, had a beautiful view, plenty of space, was close enough to town to get what you needed and was remote enough to feel tucked away. Susan had excellent responsiveness, easy communication, flexibility with checkin / checkout. A fire was burning in the hearth, the Christmas tree twinkled and fresh scones met us upon arrival - we felt weIcome right away. We’d definitely return for another trip :)
