Our lodge is the executive model in the most sought after location on the resort. It has a large, airy, light open planned kitchen/living area with good sized rooms, all the mod cons and gadgets. The open plan living room/diner has a TV with free view, fireplace, table and chairs for 6 diners, sofas, coffee tables. Bluetooth inbuilt speaker system. The kitchen has a breakfast bar, microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and sink. The cupboards are equipped with essential utensils, crockery and glasses. All of the bedrooms (2x double, 1x twin) have bedside tables, mirrors and a TV with freeview. If booking for 5/6 you will have access to the master bedroom en-suite (shower, sink and toilet). The bathroom has a bath with shower; towels, soap and a toilet roll provided. There is also a hair dryer in the double room. The utility room has a sink and washer/dryer plus a cupboard with hoover and ironing equipment. The balcony at the back of the lodge is entered through patio doors. It has an in-built hot tub, coal bbq (bring own coal) and rattan furniture. Suitable for outdoor dining. There is also outdoor lighting.
Oyster Rise and the surrounding area is lovely as this is a new part to the resort. It is a quiet neighbourhood so please keep the noise down after 11pm. From the lodge you can see the sea! In front of the lodge is a small field with football goals for family fun. Just past the field is a play park, crazy golf, the clubhouse, swimming pool and beach. This is a 5 minute walk. East and West Mersea are beach towns and a relaxed way of life. In East Mersea you can visit Cudmore Grove country park. In West Mersea there are boats and crabbing from the pontoon plus lots of excellent places to try the famous oysters!
  • My best friend I had a great stay here. The lodge was absolutely stunning and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. The hot tub is a great, even though it was 6 degrees outside we still jumped in and watched the sunset. Honestly it was surreal. The lodge feels very warm and has fantastic homely touches. The beach is less than 10 min drive away and there a good few local pubs around too. There is plenty to see and do as well as relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Overall we had a perfect time here and can’t wait to book again for the summer!

NO NIGHTS: DAWN TO DUSK ONLY. 2019 dates filling now. Lovely freshly painted beach hut on sandy sea front with appeal for all ages. Close free parking, 200 metres loos/tap. Gas rings, grill, glasses, cutlery, etc washing bowl, kettle, picnic table, chairs, sun loungers. Early booking advised!
Enjoy a blissful day at the traditional seaside town of Frinton-on-Sea, with the comfort of a beach hut. Beloved by families, for its sandy beach which is ideal for sandcastles, sunbathing or a game of rounders, and also by adults who wish to enjoy the sea air with the added comfort of a base from which to have a cup of freshly made tea whilst lying back and reading a book, without ever having to get onto the sand if you prefer! The hut is well equipped … as beach huts go! It has all the crockery and cutlery a group of 6 will need, and unlike most huts, it has a gas hob and grill so that as long as you are happy to leave it immaculate, you can warm up a pizza or make spaghetti, boiled eggs or fry some bacon! Alternatively you can stop and buy pizza or fish and chips in the traditional beach town 1/4 mile away, where there also typical holiday shops selling buckets, spades, surf boards, windbreaks and so on. However tidy everyone is, there will be a hint of sand. It's a beach hut. Please don't then give us a poor review because the floor wasn't as well hoovered as your own sitting room! Please, please note: It is a beach hut! There is a steep sloped road down to the hut which is not not necessarily suitable for wheelchair users (although we have a regular visitor in a wheelchair who adores it). There are 5 steps up to the hut. IF YOU HAVE ANY SPECIFIC NEEDS, PLEASE ASK BEFORE YOU BOOK! Many thanks. There are 4 chairs, a picnic and small serving table, 2 very good sun loungers, a bench and a window seat so that you can sit cosily inside the hut with the "stable door" open and look out. PLEASE TAKE YOUR OWN TOWELS! Even in drizzle or in winter, my family have enjoyed hours playing board games inside the hut with hot chocolate or fish and chips. It is one of those places people return to again and again, with special memories being made there. The beach hut is locked with padlocks, each on a code which we will give you the day before you go to the hut as it changes regularly. This means that you have complete freedom to go at a time to suit you - no need to pick keys up at a certain point or time as most huts require.
  • Another great stay perfect location, will be back

  • This beach hut is exactly as described - clean & tidy & in an excellent location at the beach. Everything in the hut that you need. Thoroughly enjoyable and will rent again - a VERY VERY enjoyable Xmas week experience!!

    Colin2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Polly’s beach hut is a perfect little hideaway for a day at the beach. We went at the end of October and enjoyed being tucked up inside the beach hut, drinking tea and watching the stormy sea. The hut itself is right in the beach, a short walk from the high street, and conveniently close to the WCs. The kitchen facilities in the hut were very handy (kettle, oven, crockery etc) and there was plenty of space for the 6 of us to sit and relax. We’ll definitely visit again in the summer. Thank you Polly!

  • Beautiful views, well located but you may just want to stay an in the conservatory and look at the view. Comfortable beds and everything felt very relaxed. Sally is very easy to be around, so helpful and chilled out. We had a brilliant time with our friends.

    Ellena2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely large house in a beautiful setting. Well stocked kitchen and we loved the huge wood burner!

    Zelinda2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • A really cosy, comfortable house perfect for families with older and younger children and dogs. Little extras like having salt and pepper, Worcestershire sauce etc in the cupboard helped plus loads of space for everyone to sit and eat, high chair for baby, children's plates and cutlery etc. Two fridges to store food and lots of freezer space. Garden brilliant for kids and dogs even in the middle of winter and even though we were playing guitars and being very noisy after children's bedtimes, no one was woken up! Only thing to be aware of is very steep stairs for younger children, just need to help them up and down and keep an eye!

  • Wow what can I say, our stay was unforgettable, The cottage is truly beautiful, a complete Gem with so much character and warmth you will instantly feel at home and the views are breathtaking! We wish we didn’t have to go home, Sally’s generosity is beyond words, she’s equipped the cottage and garden with everything you would ever need, we were all overwhelmed by how much there was for us and all the adults and children never had a opportunity to be bored with the amount of games, books, toys etc we had on offer. Stunning cottage, Amazing host, excellent location I would highly recommend booking this property to everyone, we already want to book to go back! Thank you again Sally.

  • Great beautiful house. Very cosy feel with loads of space.

    David2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This house is so super special. We stayed here as a huge family for our Christmas and Clare and Sally couldn’t do enough for us. We struggled to get our christmas shop delivered as we couldn’t get a delivery slot, so Clare went and collected it for us from the local Tesco’s and put it all away for us! Talk about superstar! Everything was ready for our arrival. We was happily greeted when we first arrived, with a hand book with everything we needed to know and the house was beautifully decorated with christmas decor! The wood burning fire was a super special touch, and the house had a real homey feel to it! It literally had everything you needed and nothing was s problem! High chairs for kids, towels, bedding, even toys for my two boys, and the fact that my beagle was welcome was sooo kind and meant we could all spend christmas as a real family. If you ever want to shut the door on life, and stay in a. really lovely warm, family home... where nothing is too much... then this is the place for you. Can’t recommend enough! we would love to return.. thank you!

  • Sally's place in Thorpe le Soken exceeded our expectations in every way. She greeted us graciously as soon as we arrived and made us feel immediately at home. Her cottage has a lot of space, both inside and out, comfortably sleeping a large group of us, and had all the facilities (such as kitchen, etc.) we needed to make it a fun, relaxing weekend away. Sally also had a lot of local knowledge and was able to recommend a few places in the village which completed our trip. We're already planning to see when we can come back in the summer!

    Mac2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay and loved the house for the amount of folk. All the living rooms allowed us to have seperate gatherings with out interruptingthe others. Rooms were great and garden is a real winner in summer i bet. Sally was a great communicator and kept us posted throughout the process.

  • Perfect location, you can see the sea from the front balcony, it literally is 30 seconds from the beach & central for shops, amusements, the pier, food establishments etc. All easily accessible within a 2 minutes walk. The flat is clean, bright, spacious and well decorated. The little touches of bread, milk, butter and cereals were an added bonus, thank you. Little Gem really does live up to its name. Whether it’s a romantic weekend or a leisurely week by the sea, Little Gem caters for all. With a private garden, hot tub (available all year!) and a wood burner. There are a number of restaurants and pubs just a few minutes walk away and an award winning fish and chip shop just down the road. Parking for two cars and a bike store with lock.
The property is set on one level with an open plan living space leading out onto decking with a secluded hot tub and grassed area leading down to a patio with a BBQ and garden furniture to enjoy some alfresco living. There is a modern shower room with an illuminated mirror and fluffy bathrobes supplied for some added luxury. The bedroom has a king size bed with luxury mattress and hotel grade bedding. No expense has been spared to ensure your stay is comfortable and memorable for all the right reasons. You can even enjoy some star gazing through the large Velux window situated above the bed. Don’t worry the remote controlled black out blind will ensure you aren’t woken too early! You can expect to find all the appliances you require in the modern kitchen with its Quartz worktops and breakfast bar. The integrated dishwasher means there is no need to bring the marigolds!
Holland-on-Sea is a small, friendly seaside town located along the Essex Sunshine Coast near the Suffolk border. Four miles up the coast from Clacton, Holland-on-Sea is a much less developed part of the coast, and offers a quieter spot to come to get away from the crowds at Clacton. This is a good place to come for long walks and bike rides along the coast, where there is a chance of spotting a variety of migrant birds. The terrain is composed mainly of coarse, grainy sand. There are a range of pubs and restaurants.
  • We had such a lovely relaxing stay here. In a great location with shops/pubs/things to do very close and easy to get to. The place was sparkling clean and there were little extra touches around which made us feel right at home. The hot tub was amazing and easy to use. Also had the best nights sleep, the bed is so comfy! Lovely little stylish place, would definitely recommend and would love to have a second trip here!

    Sarah2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Little Gem was perfect! The place is beautifully done, cosy and stylish. The hot tub was an absolute dream, and the wood burner was lovely especially as the weather has been so cold! The beach is only a short walk away so we had some lovely walks with the dog. Gemma was a fantastic host, super responsive and welcoming, with brilliant local recommendations. We couldn’t ask for more!

  • This place lives up to it's name, it really is a gem! Had everything we could have wanted and more for a lovely relaxing weekend. Lots of special touches really makes the place feel like a home away from home. We couldn't get enough of the hot tub! Thanks for a fabulous stay, we will definitely be back!

  • Really really pretty house, lovely furnishings. Great stay

    Harvey2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Little Gem is faultless. It is by far the most perfect holiday rental I've had the pleasure of staying in, and I've stayed in lots over the years! Everything has been thought of, the attention to detail is second to none, and the quality of everything is extremely high. It is spotlessly clean, has everything you need (and more!), and you can tell a lot of love has gone into this place. It was perfect for us to spend a couple of days relaxing in. The hot tub is a real treat and even though Little Gem is perfectly equipped with everything you'd need to cook, you are within walking distance of a fish and chip shop, Chinese, pub, and lots of other options (fish and chips highly recommended!). We loved every minute of our stay, and haven't stopped raving about it to everyone and anyone. The only downside of that is we now expect it to be harder to book for our return, when all our friends and family snap dates up! Thank you Gemma and Ryan for a truly unforgettable stay. We wouldn't change a thing about Little Gem.

    Gemma2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was everything we wanted, the place was perfect! With lots of little touches really made the place seem special and it was really clean! Perfect for a little get away x

There are numerous cafes/takesaways along the seaside restaurants (the little cafe in the parade of shops does a lovely carvery on a Sunday), 3 bars (the Sailor Boy pub which has nightly karaoke at the weekends, Tudor Bar and The Village Inn.) In the Summer the Sailor Boy often does karaoke in the afternoons outside which can be entertaining.
There are various amusement arcades offering bingo, pool/snooker hall, dodgems, childrens playground, indoor swimming pool, bouncy castle, bumper boats, crazy golf, hairdressers, launderette, bakers, newsagents, grocery shop, fish & chips, and an off licence.

Driftwood is a home from home with a touch of luxury! Fluffy Sheridan towels & linen on a Superking & twin beds! An enclosed garden to relax in with a few home grown raspberries to enjoy if you're lucky! 42"TV+Freeview, Superfast Broadband Wifi, PS2, X-Box, Chromecast, DVD player, DVDs, stereo, cards, books & games! Easy choice for those with kids, esp. young ones on a rainy day!
An easy 5 mins walk to the new sandy beaches, 3 mins walk to Holland Haven. Self catering, fully furnished holiday home. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed garden with BBQ. Plenty of toys and games to keep everyone from the babies, to the more mature crowd entertained! For those with young children, save time and space in your car, we have pretty much everything you need. I love cooking, so have put everything from a pizza cutter to food processor into the kitchen! The microwave and dishwasher are lifesavers too! :)
I love staying in this quiet, safe cul de sac with friendly locals. The nearby sandy beach is great as it can be used at high and low tide... the beach cafe also makes it easy to spend the whole day there! It has a laundrette, chip shop, cafes, pubs, restaurants, corner shops, post office and supermarkets all within easy reach. Nearby is the stunning Holland Haven nature reserve. The sandy beaches are great, even at high tide. Fancy spending the day at Frinton? No need to drive, as it's a beautiful walk or cycle from ours. Smooth paths along to the esplanade to walk, cycle or scoot along will take you to Clacton pier. If you like fossil hunting, nearby Walton-on-the-naze may reveal some delights! If you prefer partying, Clacton-On-Sea is only down the road! Plenty of benches for rests, picnics or just somewhere to sit and enjoy to view on the seafront! Enjoy! :)

  • Our home away from home for nearly a month. We arrived with only suitcases and found everything we could possible need at Driftwood. Spotlessly clean throughout. Did lots of walks along the beach in both directions and around Holland Haven. Great spot. Off road parking for 2-3 cars if needed.

  • The place is really great :) We stayed 11 nights and everything was good. The place itself is well decorated and furnished, nothing too much but cozy. The neighbors were all quite and friendly. Late November it was warm and comfortable in the house. The fireplace was really good for late November! No doubt this place is 10/10. The only you should keep in mind when coming that there's no grossery shop in that holiday park so bring your food with you :)) There's a little one at the reception office but there is only stuff like cookies, snacks, ect. Nothing fresh like fruits or vegetables :) Thank for the stay, we'll come again!)

  • Had a lovely stay at Carole’s apartment in the garden! Self check-in was super easy thanks to good communication before the stay, and I found the apartment spotlessly clean. Lots of towels for use in the wet room shower and the radiators had been left on so that it was nice and toasty on a very cold January day! Thanks to Carole and George for their hospitality, would definitely book again if back in the area.

Wivenhoe, a village on the River Colne just outside Colchester (Britain's oldest recorded town with its castle) has a delightful quay and eating establishments, including vegan, tapas, Indian and Italian. There are regular buses to Colchester via Essex University so the property is ideal for anyone visiting the campus where you can also find Wivenhoe House Hotel. We are also only 5 minute drive away from the famous Beth Chatto gardens.
The annexe is completely self-contained and not overlooked and has been used in the past by my sons and their respective wives as a starter home including kitchen and bathroom until they could afford to move out. It has now been fully redecorated and has accommodation for a single person or couple and also has space for a travel cot and/or inflatable toddler bed. (both available on request).
  • Lovely hosts, enjoyed the extra touches of breakfast bits in the annex Convenient location and great to have own entrance.

  • I needed to get back to Holland in the morning and this place is so close to the harbour which was so nice. The room is nice and clean and got a comfy bed . Bathroom is big and beautiful . Linda was very friendly and made us a cup of tea when we finally arrived way too late.

  • We loved our stay here. Both Peter and Linda were extremely flexible and helpful: We mistakenly booked the wrong night with them, but were able to reschedule without any trouble. Definitely recommend!

  • We only stayed 1 night, before taking the boat to The Netherlands, but we greatly enjoyed the comfortable bed and the nice and clean bathroom, as well as the conversations over a cup of tea with Linda, our lovely host.

  • This is a fantastic place to stay in Harwich, especially when you are taking the ferry. We had a wonderful time and reallyloved talking with Linda who lives in the flat. She is a very interesting and creative woman and we are glad we got to know her. She even looked for toys that our baby could play with. The room has everything you need and sleeping there was very comfortable. The bathroom is beautiful and the whole apartment super clean. We can highly recommend staying there!!

The caravan is surprisingly spacious, with a large living room to accommodate the entire family during game nights. Of course, an open plan kitchen connects to the living room, so that you can easily get up and grab a cold one without missing a single moment of the X-factor! The bedrooms are also a couple of steps away, with the master bedroom located between the two twin single rooms. Access to all the amenities on site does require a day pass (£5 per person).
We’re a very large family who have always loved taking holidays altogether. Caravan parks have been our favourite and most efficient way to experience beautiful places allover the UK together, whilst also having the freedom to stay in our own ‘home away from home’ to do as we please! So, we decided that more people and families need to experience this. We give to you our caravan holiday rental! We specifically selected this caravan to fit the holiday needs of individuals as well as families. It is located on an up and coming park, and a blink away from the coast, where you can enjoy lovely picnics and beach days. The bedrooms are also a couple of steps away, with the master bedroom located between the two twin single rooms. Of course, if you would rather enjoy a football game instead of the X-factor our wonderful caravan is very close to a brand new bar which hosts Sky Sports action all year round. For the youngsters of the family, they can party it up every night at the kids club where they can enjoy ball games at the court, swimming at the pool, entertainment acts and crazy golfing! Come and stay in a unique pod in the heart of our organic small holding. There are two twin beds with the option of a third small bed alongside. It suits two perfectly, and is cosy with three. Table and chairs and deck for outside eating and fire pit available. Booking includes access to our shared farm kitchen, shared family room inc. wood burning stove & sofas, shower & toilet about 20 metres from the Pod and the option of buying fresh eggs and produce on arrival.. We are a working fruit farm!
  • The pippin pod is beautiful, silently set close to an old greenhouse on a working farm. We loved how this place felt, both alive and silent at the same time and with lovely hosts. Thumbs up. :)

  • Lovely pod in Dedham! Great stay

    Thomas2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very scenic and beautiful. A brilliant place to switch off and just explore the area around. It is all walking distance to Flatford, Manningtree and Dedham and even the farm itself is beautiful enough to just stay in and explore. Would recommend as a family, couple or (in our case) artists

    Irene2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy pod and beautiful surroundings. Rebecca and Ian were very welcoming and accommodating. Would love to come back in the summer! Thank you!

    Lucy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I visited the pod in November so the weather was very cold, but that didn't take away from the beauty of this magical little pod. It was super warm and cosy for the 2 days I stayed there as the pod has a little heater. It comes with plug socket too for anything you may need to charge. The outbuilding had a fully functioning kitchen with gas cooker and a fridge. The grounds are just beautiful even in the winter and they have chickens too! Shower was perfect and the hospitality of the hosts was second to none. There are local shops around 10mins away driving but if you're on foot it'about a 45 min walk( I wouldn't mind it at all in the warmer months) this place really is a little gem of a find. And I will certainly be back

    Charmain2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely rural location, the pod is very cute.

    Stuart2019-11-07T00:00:00Z

    Wiktoria2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a magical spot, a snug little pod, nestled away in an enchanting Organic fruit farm. What a joy to wake up to birdsong, and have acres of woodland and fruit trees all around you in this idyllic rustic setting. Absolutely loved it. Home-made jam for breakfast, and then a short trip to Constable Country and Flatford Mill. Amazing location, and Rebecca is the loveliest warmest host you could hope for!

I would love to share my little home by the sea with you. Situated on Mersea Island and accessed by the tidal dependent Strood, this is a place to come to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Essex coast line. So much to see and do, use my comfortable home to explore the area. For those rainy days there are games galore to choose from, books to read and dvds to watch. I welcome 1 small dog . There is an indoor pool onsite which is open seasonally.
Home from home, you will never want to leave ! Spacious living area with 2 sofas, dining table to seat 4 . Mains connected central heating for those chillier days. Powerful walk in shower. En-suite to master bedroom 2 single beds in second bedroom, which can be pushed together to form a double if preferred/required. Integrated fridge and freezer and gas oven and hob. Large decked area with outside seating +BBQ Patio area at side of property with garden table.
I am adjacent to Cudmore Grove Country Park in East Mersea. Great for walking, bird watching , kite flying and if you have children, there is an amazing play area which includes a pirates ‘lookout’ ! A foot ferry can be accessed to Brightlingsea from the spit between April-October. If you want to kayak or paddle board try Reflective Adventures http://reflectiveadventures.co.uk

  • Our stay at Tania's was wonderful. Since you can't find the apartment on Google, you need her directions, which were very clear. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The only thing it didn't have that we would have appreciated was any type of coffee maker that isn't instant coffee, though we've come to expect that instant coffee is the norm in hotels/b and b's in the UK, so we weren't surprised. The walk to the beach is 10 minutes or less, and the walk to the town centre is about the same. Train station is a 15-20 minute walk, depending on how many kids and how much luggage you're hauling with you!.Frinton is a lovely town, and we all really enjoyed our stay!

    Kendra2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely peaceful location yet ideally placed within easy walking distance of beach, shops and eateries. The apartment is filled with thoughtful touches to make a real home-from-home, and the beds are super-comfy! Handy to have the loo separate from the shower room. Easy to find, and plenty of parking. Tania was a great host, providing prompt and helpful responses both before and during our stay. Welcome fizz was a bonus!

  • We had a lovely few days stay at Tania’s home. It is ideally situated for the beach, the good club and the tennis club. Just a few minutes walk away from the main high street with cafes, shops, church and gardens. The apartment is very clean and everything is in good working order. There was everything a family of 5 would need and plenty of space too. Thank you, we would definitely love to return.

Exposed beams and a decorative brick wall are reminders of the historic pedigree of this newly converted structure. Today it's an airy and ultramodern space with every convenience. Sliding doors open onto a sunny courtyard planted with flowers. Please be aware though, we are near to a road so not an isolated country retreat, if you were looking for solitude.
Very modern with plenty of character features - our lodge has its own parking and is completely separate from owner’s house while still close enough if you have any questions / requests. Close to railway stations in Great Bentley and Alresford, the town centre and harbour of Brightlingsea, and the University of Essex (10 min drive). Approximately 8 miles from Britain’s oldest town, Colchester, which has a good array of shops and a historic castle, and also not far from Beth Chatto Garden centre, Constable countryside, Mersea Island and many other fabulous days out.
The lodge is close to the towns of Brightlingsea, Thorrington, Great Bentley, and Alresford. It's an ideal base for exploring North Essex and Suffolk. The Beth Chatto Gardens are in the next village, Elmstead Market, and Dedham Vale is 15 miles away.

It’s just a short stroll to the pier, the centre of Walton and an Aldi, Marks and Spencer Food and a fabulous pub called The Victory! Walton also boasts the second longest pier in England, a marina with a lovely restaurant called Harbour Lights, several pubs, fish and chip shops, hair and beauty salons, souvenir shops, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, an indoor swimming pool complex, childrens play areas and even a virtual reality studio for all your gamers young and old! Walton is not just a summer destination either! There’s nothing nicer (in my opinion) than a bracing walk along the prom and beach on a sunny winter’s day followed by a cup of tea in the shelter of a beach hut staring out to sea then a delicious meal in our favourite pub or fish and chips back in the hut! There’s loads to do in summer and winter including bike rides, fossil hunting at the Naze, seal watching trips from the marina and of course, not forgetting, the pier with its arcades, bowling and rides meaning there’s something to do even on a rainy day! Walton is a traditional seaside town, unique in that it is surrounded on three sides by the sea. Its three miles of gently shelving sandy beaches facing south-east stretch from Frinton to the Naze. To the north, the sea sweeps round the Naze into the backwaters, known as Hamford Water, and the Walton Channel stretches right down to Walton Mere, only 300 yards from the main beach. The Naze, as well as being a natural open space, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) famed for its fossils found in the Red Crag cliffs. As well as these glorious natural features, Walton is known for its pier – the second-longest in the country – its yacht club and marina, and its iconic tower at The Naze from where panoramic views can be enjoyed of the Walton backwaters, Harwich and Felixstowe and the Suffolk coast. The tower – built in 1720 by Trinity House as a navigational aid for ships making for Harwich Harbour – is now an art gallery and tea rooms. Walton has a fascinating history, wonderful walks and nature reserves, and is one of the driest places in England, with an average rainfall of less than 20 inches! Happy Days!!
  • Loved loved loved Daisy Cottage. I booked this very last minute as we were due to travel to Iceland. However, due to the chaos surrounding CV we decided to book Daisy Cottage instead. Anna is a superb host, as is Daisy Cottage. The location of the property is just perfect, the house has every amenity you could possibly wish for and Walton-on the Naze - Walton has the most marvellous beach. I would def recommend this property and the Victory pub is a must also, especially if you have a pooch. Thank you Anna.

  • We really enjoyed out stay at daisy beach house. The house was extremely stylish and deceptively spacious. At the same time, it was very cosy for a January seaside visit. Very well located for the beach and town centre. Anna responded to our messages very quickly and her instructions/logistics were perfectly organised. Thoughtful touches throughout the house included the toys which our son enjoyed playing with, advice on how to use the TV including how to get the kids shows on, and use of Anna's beach hut as it was out of season (we didn't end up using this in the end but it was really nice to have the offer). The house was also very quiet. Thoroughly recommended!

  • The property and Anna are truly wonderful. The house is fully equipped with everything you might need, and in walking distance of the train station, local supermarkets and cafes. It is also very clean, nothing about the utilities is complicated, and the instructions on how to use the appliances and the wifi are readily available. A great place for the entire family to get away in a peaceful town.

  • This is a newly refurbished property which has been designed and decorated with the greatest thought and care. Everything you could need for a lovely stay is here, and having stayed in over 30 airbnbs in the last 3 years, we thought it was probably the best we've been in. Access to a beach hut on the sea front is a real bonus and it is very close to a seafront cafe and the pier. We had a memorable October break here with our grandchildren.
