Cozy studio cottage perfect for two. Just a few blocks from downtown Baker close to all of the local fun. This house was originally build around 1920 and takes you back to the basics. Perfect set up to unplug and just relax. Very comfortable and a great place to stay. We are located just 35 miles from Anthony Lakes.
Open floor plan, couch can be made into another bed. Has a partial kitchen; microwave, coffee pot and refrigerator. There is no TV so bring your laptop, we do have wifi. Bring your slippers, keep your toes cozy on our old hardwood floors.
This fun little cottage is located in a residential neighborhood. Just 2 blocks from the river trail, and 4 blocks from downtown.
  • Will definitely check availability on future trips through Baker City!

  • This rustic cottage has plenty of charm, nice and cozy and clean with a comfy bed. Easy walk to downtown, just a few blocks from the heart of Main Street. Great value. There was a nice selection of snacks in addition to coffee and tea. Melissa was very responsive and helpful. Great stay. Discounts for Anthony Lakes lift tickets were a nice bonus!

    Morris2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The space was both cozier and more spacious than I expected. There were sweet details like coffee/tea and little snacks. Everything I needed and nothing I didn’t. It would be so cozy to come back here after a day at Anthony lakes. I would definitely stay here again.

    Nicole2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Melissa's. It is an older home that was remodeled and they did a wonderful job of it. The place is very cozy and the bed super comfortable. I really appreciated the extra amenities, especially the coffee! Thank you Melissa, we will definitely be staying with you again next time we come to Baker for skiing!

    Caleb2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was lovely. It warm, pretty, and comfortable.

    Alyssa2020-01-29T00:00:00Z

  • We had a wonderful stay at Melissa’s place. It is exactly as shown/listed. It is a private studio with lots of space for two people and parking right in front. Everything was clean and well maintained. Melissa was very easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Quiet, Private, Enchanting, Rustic Cabin 20 min. from the charming, historical town of Baker City, nestled in the foothills of the Elkhorn Mountains, 30 min. from Anthony Lakes Ski Resort. Outgoing plumbing only. Creek off back deck runs most of the year. Rugged road beyond cabin provides recreational opportunities: hiking/snowshoeing/x-ski, etc. Pets ok but please notify host. Sleeps 4 (incl 2 couches), pricing is for 2 guests. 4 wheel drive December-March. No internet, TV or Freezer.
This Enchanting A-Frame is quiet, tranquil and private outside of 2 neighboring cabins, one that shares a driveway (rarely visited) the other is a full-year resident with dogs. This 900 sq foot cabin is rustic, not all conveniences, but very comfortable, like camping but much better, safer, warmer, drier .... some cabin dust, a few bugs & an occasional mouse to be expected. Being an A-Frame, the upstairs bedroom/loft is much warmer than downstairs, especially in the winter. There are fans on both levels to encourage circulation of heat from the propane ventless heater. The bathroom is small and tight quarters especially for a larger person. The shower is also on the small side and is a camp shower ( with water heated from the stove). The spiral staircase is narrow and steep with a minimal handrail. A stone fireplace provides additional comfort during the colder and wetter seasons. Light breakfast foods, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are available for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is stocked with all basics, plates, glasses, utensils, pots and pans ... Four wheel drive and traction tires are highly recommended in the winter months, generally December through March.
The cabin is tucked away off of a moderately used mountain access road. It is located at the tree line of the Elkhorn Mountains, therefore, is surrounded by tall evergreens. The homes below the cabin sit on 5 plus acres of rural living. Deer and wild turkeys frequently visit our yards and fields.
  • This cabin was so cute and cozy! We loved the stream in back of the cabin as well as the privacy of the grounds. Our favorite features were the rustic fireplace, the warm bedroom loft, and the huge windows that brought in natural light. Betty was a great host and the cabin was clean and homey.

    Dianna2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This A-frame is so so special. You can’t see the surrounding area in the photos, but it is absolutely gorgeous around it too. Betty was extremely helpful to me. I had car trouble‘s and she always responded very fast and was super accommodating. I cannot recommend this place enough. Grab a friend or loved one and go spend a couple days there and go on hikes and enjoy the area. But you will definitely enjoy this special place. It’s perfectly put together by so many unique touches. She sets you up so nicely. I will definitely stay here again. It’s amazing.

    Rachel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Betty was very available to us. The cabin was a delight. We wished we could stay longer, and would definitely love to return the next time we're in the area. The house is amazingly cabin-cozy, we definitely spent some time just sitting by the fire. The next morning we enjoyed coffee (complete with liquid creamer! A rare amenity!) while taking in the peaceful scene of the snowy creek out back. Electricity was added to this cabin after the fact, so my husband and I also thoroughly delighted in the novelty of searching for each light switch. A definite recommend!

    Karen2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Well signed and easy to find. The cabin is larger than the pictures make it seem. The surrounding forest and creek are lush and beautiful. The open fire place is a great touch. The hosts provide plenty of water to start you with and a continental breakfast. Close proximity to Anthony Lakes with great views of the Wallowa mountains. Excellent hosts and great communication on their part.

    Ryan2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for a night. First of all, there is no running water. You have to pick water out of a small creek behind the house, boil it on oven, and then take a shower. It is very, very unique (no worried, the owner prepares a plenty of bottled water, too). For me, I really enjoyed such an experience, I believe, this is the first time in my life. The house is located in forest, but readily found. The room has gorgeous decorations and comfortably warmed by propane heater. I could enjoy here and stay comfortably. Thank you so much!

    Takahide2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place will always hold a special place in my heart. When the mountains are calling then this is definitely the place to go! This was our second time staying here and it was even more unforgettable than the last!

    McKinly2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Nice and private. Great jump point to mountain adventures. Fun off grid feel, but not deprived of ample amenities. Enjoyed the creek and the overall cozy stay in the A frame. I recommend.

    Justin2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Betty and toms Cavin is great . Don’t hesitate to book . Cosy and in a great location for skiing, snowboarding Anthony lakes in the winter . All the amenity you need are at the cabin and it was very clean, even with pine needles everywhere outside .

  • We had such a great stay! My husband was so impressed with all the touches that made being away from home easier. Jason has everything you need! And the bread baking in the bread machine when we walked in was an amazing touch! We will definitely stay here again.

    Kassandra2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy modern space. Great for 1 or 2 travelers. Sauna and amazing outdoor space with grills and firepits. Hopefully this is available again next time I'm in Baker.

  • Great amenities and convenient. Had hot bread when we arrived. Amenities were excellent and the space was sparkling clean. Reccomend to everyone.

  • Clean, lovely space with plenty of amenities and a kind and helpful host.

    Canyon2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a wonderful place to stay. When I arrived - jason had fresh bread in a breadmaker which was great after a long day of driving. Everything is sparkling clean, the bed is comfy and the bathtub and sauna make it worth it by themselves. I heartily recommend.

    John2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • My family and I really enjoyed staying here, the sauna was amazing after a long day on the slopes. There was fresh bread when we got there that was amazing! It’s snowed and the walk ways were cleared in the morning! Everything was very clean, and felt homey Looking forward to our next stay with jason!

    Jennifer2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place was awesome and was such a great experience! Communication was fast and easy, price was very fair, the place was very clean and stylish and it was a great experience all around. So many nice little touches, including a sauna...that's pretty rare! We will be back for sure.

South Baker 1920's cottage remodeled in 2019, featuring Queen canopy bed, comfy living room, kitchen, bath & laundry. Sorry, no cats due to allergies. Enjoy the dog friendly secure fenced yard & access to seasonal canal, BBQ & warming stove. This house is about art, color & up/recycling: from cabinets, doors, appliances & some of the furniture proving that experienced items are more fun. As an Anthony Lakes lodging partner = discounted lift tickets during ski season. COVID-19 info below.
In response to COVID-19 our already super clean cottage got cleaner. We wash linens in extra hot water & in an oxi-type detergent. We are doing wipe downs on all door knobs (kitchen, interior & exterior doors) keypads, remotes, heater knob adjustment, light switches, shampoo, conditioner, body wash pumps, handles (door - toilet) lamp pulls, alarm clock, refrigerator/oven pulls - basically anywhere a person could put a hand. This is already in addition to all counter, appliance and drawer fronts, floors we already do. In addition to an air purifying filter -I can drop by a couple disinfecting wipes if you’d like to wipe down for your peace of mind - sorry can’t leave container - these things are like gold. This cottage was conceived in the long gray days of winter- which is why it's so colorful and cozy. Sporting many original art pieces, (notice the animal theme) - the Baker City Jewel Box is a play with color. This cottage makes me smile every time I walk into in and that's what I want for my guests. We love fixing up old houses and this is our latest offering and since we found cabinets at Habitat for Humanity I was able to realize my dream of turquoise/teal cabinets- so much fun! We are dog-friendly (please review our pet policy below) and with the seasonal canal they can cool off. So looking forward to hosting you!
Convenient location off Hwy 7 and not far from downtown.
  • Kim's home is charming, meticulously clean, tasteful, and everything as advertised (and then some). She is definitely a "super host", even thoughtfully left out a mountain map and lift discounts as she knew we were coming to town to ski.

    Pam2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Kim’s place is great! We love the fenced yard for our pups on road trips. The house is cozy, cute, has fun colorful decorations, well appointed with everything you need and is comfortable. We will be back.

    Adria2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great little house for two! Very clean and well maintained. Comfortable and quiet. Would stay again without hesitation! Kim was a great communicator as host and very helpful!

    James2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I can see why Kim is a super-host! So many special touches to make a guest feel welcome. The colors, the art, plenty of towels, thoughtful toiletries, and even condiment options in the fridge! We stayed here as part of an Anthony Lakes ski visit and will probably do so again! The bed was way comfy, and there are plenty of good lamps/lighting throughout (we are readers). Off street parking was a nice option since we had ski gear in the vehicle (yay, we didn't have to unload it!). Back yard abuts a creek/canal: probably rad in summertime. A covey of quail settled in as we were checking in: great spot!

    Lesley2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute cottage with everything you could need. Very cozy, inviting, and all around nice. We loved our stay! Would highly recommend!

    Kirstie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect for stopping through! Quiet, Clean, and comfy. We also loved & enjoyed the yard just as much as our two dogs did! Hosts were friendly and communicative

The Churchill Bike/Ski Hostel is located in the former elementary school, built in 1925. Baker City is on the Trans American Cycling route in beautiful eastern Oregon. The hostel is $25 per night per bed, for people traveling by bicycle in the summer and skiers in the winter. The space is a dormitory setting with 4 bunk beds & comfortable memory foam mattresses, crisp, clean white sheets and privacy curtains for each guest. There is coffee & tea, a small refrigerator & microwave in the room.
There is a women's and men's bathroom with multiple stalls and the shower has separate entrance from each bathroom and doors that can be locked for privacy.
The historic downtown Baker City is just 15 blocks away. Sweet Wife Baking, Copper Belt Winery, Barley Brown's Brewery, BELLA Main St Market, No 1911, Peterson's Gallery and Chocolatier and The Trailhead are some of our favorite places. 9 miles to National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. 35 miles from Anthony Lakes for biking and hiking in the summer or great skiing in the winter. Other downtown attractions are the Armstrong Nugget at US Bank and the Baker County Heritage Museum. If it's hot out Big River Recreation rents tubes to float the river.
  • Such a friendly and comfortable place to stay! I can't wait to come back. Lots to do in and around Baker City. Anthony Lakes Ski Resort, cycling, hiking, museums and events right here at The Old School! The Old School Ski/Bike Hostel hosts artists, musicians, weekly meditation, and so much more. Really worth checking out!

    Tami2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It's always cool to stay in such an obviously historic home-- beautiful, old, and most importantly, VERY well kept-up. The thing that strikes me most about this place is the devotion to making sure you have all the comforts. They have several snack options and light breakfast things available, as well as an "In Case You Forgot" drawer with stuff like razors, toothpaste, etc. It clearly shows me that they care about the needs of their guests. The beds were cozy, the bathroom was HUGE and the shower was nice. Very short walk into the heart of downtown, and if you're into walking around and exploring old neighborhoods: you're in one and it's a great place to start! Looking for a downside of this place and there is none that I can think of.

    Will And Rachel2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place in a very beautiful town! I love this place and want to come back in the future! Highly recommend!

  • Such an amazing place to stay in Baker City!

    Meghan2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely character home. Very thoughtful touches and sparkling clean. Although we never met Julie, she went out of her way to make everything easy for us. Highly recommended rental property.

    Mark2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • After a long, tiring day of driving, my wife and I were delighted by Julie's warm welcome and incredible hospitality. Both Julie and her very nice husband spent a lot of time answering our questions about the history of Baker City and life in Oregon. The rooms were superb - clean and spacious. The bathroom is a wonder; although I'm not a spa person, I imagine that the fixtures and amenities in this bathroom rival those in a high-end spa. Julie provides voluminous snacks, fruit, drinks, and breakfast food -- again, above and beyond what we expected.

    David2019-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • The cleanest, prettiest, most comfortable rooms I've ever stayed in! The hospitality was outstanding. The consideration are impeccable! Close to everything!

    Leslie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for us to stay overnight. Very clean, spacious. Appreciated the fully stocked snack bar, coffee, tea and bottled water. Julie is a great hostess.

  • Really cute place. A perfect cabin getaway. Allowed pets but didn't smell at all like pets had ever been there. Super clean and easy to check in and out.

  • Very cozy and lovely cabin just outside central Sumpter. Really easy walk to all the local sights. Will definitely be visiting again.

    Sean2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This little cabin was perfect for our short get away. Very cozy and comfortable for the two of us, very well appointed. We definitely would stay there again if we were going to be in that general area. We used it as a base to visit Anthony Lakes, Wallowa Lake, Haines, Baker City, and Sumpter. We drove too much for our short visit, but it was wonderful to return to this cabin each evening to sleep in the comfortable bed.

    Linda2019-09-16T00:00:00Z

  • Lovely neighborhood, and about a 10-15 min walk to town. Spacious, family loved home. It was nice to have 3 bathrooms for our large group, and there is an upstairs, main floor, and downstairs so we were able to spread out. There were games, toys, movies and old cassettes and a boom box to throw you back in time. Thank you for the stay!

  • Great location for our board of directors retreat. Close to downtown and the interstate!

  • This is a great house! Very funky and feels like your favorite eccentric grandma's house, complete with every amenity you could want. Very clean. Mud room entry was great for snowy boots. Host is quick and easy to communicate with. Very wide banisters and floating stairs could be hazardous for toddlers, but we didn't have any.

    Kori2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice house! It was near many stores and there were great places to eat at less than a mile away. I would definitely recommend!

Our Mountain View home opens into a split-level entry. The upper level has a modern kitchen and dining area. The living room offers quiet sitting areas and a fabulous view of nearby mountains. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the upper level. A large lower area contains the third bedroom and family room and a separate half bathroom. The backyard and deck areas offer a hot tub and barrel sauna. Quiet neighborhood. Beautiful sunsets too!
The entire house and backyard are available for use. An additional amenity is the fire pit in the backyard, which is surrounded by two benches, offering a nice escape from electronic devices. Feel free to burn your own wood in the fireplace in the back.
Ours is a peaceful town. Neighbors are friendly. It’s okay to take an evening stroll. Although since the home is on a little hill and the downward walk is a breeze, it’s a bit of a climb when returning!
  • Cozy stay, really enjoyed our time in Baker City. Great host and perfect weekend getaway!

  • Deb’s place was perfect for our family of 3. We loved the western theme and our son said he “felt like a pioneer”. Deb is very friendly and had great recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Our only complaint is we wish we could have stayed two or three more nights. Thanks for everything Deb. We will see you again!

    Cathy2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

    Krista2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Honey's Bunkhouse was the perfect place to stay for a late-October visit to Baker City. The location couldn't be better - close to everything we wanted to see. The Bunkhouse was clean, comfy and super cute - we loved the old barn wood and western decor! Also, neighborhood was super quiet - so quiet that sleeping in was easy! Beds and furnishings were comfortable, the place was plenty warm even on cold nights, and the kitchenette made it possible for us to do some light food preparation. The Bunkhouse literally has everything but the kitchen sink! (no problem - we washed our dishes in the ample bathroom sink). Finally, our host, Deb, was wonderful. She's super responsive, very helpful, and is full of great tips for site-seeing and good places to eat. One note to prospective guests: lighting is a bit dim in the evenings (no ceiling lights in unit), so if you like to read at night before going to sleep, a travel reading light is helpful. I was happy I brought mine! Thank you, Deb, for a great stay at your sweet Bunkhouse!

Delta-9 House - Cabin Klahr is one of the Delta-9 House Sumpter Cabins, the 420-friendliest place to stay for your Eastern Oregon wilderness adventures. This cozy studio cabin with bathroom and kitchenette is close to amazing hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, hiking, and state parks. You can hop on to the historic steam trains that stop right in your backyard, visit the bars and restaurants within walking distance, and the legal marijuana shop is right next door.
Cabin Klahr is a cozy studio with a queen bed; a TV monitor with Roku and HDMI input; private bathroom and shower; and a kitchenette with microwave, mini-fridge, can opener, and basic utensils. There is no stove or oven and hot plates are not allowed due to insurance restrictions. The cabins are beautiful, sturdy, classic log cabin designs with adjustable heating and air conditioning. Smoking marijuana isn't just allowed, it's encouraged - but please keep all tobacco smoking (including blunts / spliffs) on the outside porch with the windows closed.
Sumpter was formed in during the Civil War when gold was discovered here, quickly becoming a gold rush town, with three dredges set up here in the early 20th century. It is home to the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Heritage Area, near Phillips Reservoir in the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest. While there are some basic amenities you can pick up in our local stores, you may want to pack in some provisions, as the nearest grocery and big box stores are thirty minutes away in Baker City.

  • It turned out to be a thunder storm on our trip, so Russ's place was the perfect little cozy cabin for my husband and I.

    Saleana2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • I brought my newborn here for a place to get away for some quiet while my family camp at. The cabin was perfect, cozy with a beautiful view and a very nice patio. Everyone was very friendly and approachable. Sumpter is beautiful but don’t tell anyone.

    Douglas2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was the perfect little getaway for my husband and I. Russ was an amazing host. He was very helpful and very quick with response time, we also had plenty of privacy. Sumpter is a great little town full of history, and great walking trails. The cabin is small, but prefect for a couple. The restaurant next door has really great food and excellent service. I would taste or whole experience as a 5 star. We will definitely be back!

    Amanda2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place, has everything you need and comfortable added bonus there is a restaurant next door and the food is delicious. Everything you need to relax and chill.

    Raeanne2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Russ’s description is on point. The directions he gave were easy to follow and very specific so it made check in super smooth. The dredge is right behind it and I didn’t realize that was there on my previous visits to sumpter so I was very excited about that too. The only bummer was that the restaurant out front was closed during the posted evening hours but we just went down the street for something to eat. We can’t wait to come back and stay again.

This sweet Victorian cottage built in 1882 is mere blocks from main street shops and restaurants, the Powder River trail, and local parks. It is filled with original charm and authentic details from days gone by. Relax in the parlor by the cozy wood stove and listen to records or snuggle up on the couch to watch movies after skiing at nearby Anthony Lakes or exploring town. You will have the entire cottage to yourself to enjoy the authentic experience of visiting Baker City.
This house is over 130 years old and still has much of its original features from hardware/knobs, floors, molding, etc. It is so rare to find a house that hasn't been "redone" and gutted to more modern standards. Staying here makes you feel like you have literally stepped back in time to when Baker City was first beginning as the booming mining town it originated from. We have a brand new cozy memory foam queen mattress with a heated pad to keep warm on the chilly nights.
Quiet neighborhood in walking distance of Main Street, the Powder River Trail, Geiser-Pollman Park, the Museum, the Fairgrounds, and many other locations!
  • The ultimate home away from home.

Easy drive to Anthony Lakes ski resort, plenty of space for bikes, and dog friendly too. You can hang out at home or head out, knowing you are just a short walk away from being back at the house in time to use the hot tub or infrared sauna, both just off the large deck where the evening can be spent relaxing in a back yard designed for entertainment!
  • Andrew responded very quickly to my inquiries and was extremely helpful. The house is nicely decorated and more spacious than it seems in the pictures. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna!

    Kara2019-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute space with lots of cute style touches (loved all the books and magazines for downtime). We had two couples for the weekend and that was the perfect amount for the space. Easy lockbox access, hot tub, and enough kitchen supplies for us to cook several meals. Our friends also booked this house two weeks from now and we let them know it was a good find! We’ll be back when we come to Baker City.

We hope to visit Baker City again and would not hesitate to stay here again.

  • This was a clean and cozy cottage. The basement was helpful with the extreme heat as it stayed very cool, just be prepared for the stairs if you have little ones. The outdoor space was very relaxing and the sauna and hot tub were very clean and comfortable. It was conveniently located to the softball fields for our tournament and offered a great place to relax and unwind between games.

Bruce was quick to give us some tips and the dogs were fast friends and we all got busy relaxing. Looking forward to making our third trip here later this year.

  • We really can't say enough about this property or the hosts! Bruce and Teresa are great and the location was so much more than expected. This was a special stay for us to celebrate our anniversary and it far exceed our expectations. We enjoy night photography, it was absolutely nothing for them to turn off the lights and not bat an eye about coming in and out at all hours of the night and morning. Breakfast was out of this world! Made fresh right in front of us with great conversation and local knowledge. Seriously, why have I not been cooking my bacon like this all along? We arrived at Elkhorn Mountains Bed and Breakfast very apprehensive about the whole BnB experience, we left having made new friends and checking our calendar to plan our next visit! We look forward to coming back again soon.

  • This location is absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing location this is it.🥰😍 It was great to sit by the creek at night listening to the wildlife after a day in town, or on the deck or hanging out with jaz playing ball.😘Easy access in and out of baker city. The amenities are very comfortable, spotless, like being at home, Teresa and Bruce are fabulous hosts, making sure we had everything we needed and wanted. They both went out of their way to make sure our stay was incredible.😍. Highly recommend this location.😍

    Sharon2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Teresa and Bruce are outstanding hosts. Communication prior to our arrival was pleasant and timely. Upon arrival we were greeted with smiles, offers to help with our bags, and beverages. These two provide outstanding hospitality. We loved the location of their home. The environment was peaceful and relaxing. When we weren’t relaxing, we had the pleasure of visiting with the hosts and their friends. It was just the kind of retreat we needed. We loved every moment of our stay and wished we had more time to explore the area. There is always next time.

This is a 1510 square feet, day light basement with 2 bedrooms, one full bath, full kitchen, living and dinning area. Guests will have a private entrance with their own deck to take in the views. This home is still in the city limits, but far enough out of town that you feel like you are in the country. This space is not accessible for handicap individuals due to the stairs. The owners live upstairs. We have no children at home, only one old dog that will stay upstairs with us.
This is a daylight basement with incredible views of the Baker Valley and surrounding mountains. Close to the Quail Ridge Golf Course and close to downtown. Plan your ski vacation and get $10 off your lift ticket forAnthony Lake's Mountain Resort

  • Was a wonderful stay and our time during a 1A State tournament was impeccable. Candace was attentiveness to detail was amazing. I would definitely recommend the stay.

    Sandra2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for us traveling. We really appreciated Candace alerting us to local weather issues while we were traveling. The space was clean, quiet, and peaceful. Great view!!!

  • Wonderful place to stay!

    Sharon2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Candace went above & beyond for our stay. Her hospitality is great. The place is very roomy and comfortable.

    Lori2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place! Candace has thought of everything to make this a comfortable stay! The location is beautiful. Sat on the deck this morning and drank coffee listening to a rooster crow in the distance. Got a little visit from her sweet dog. Unfortunately we arrived late and were unable to meet Candace. She was great about accommodating that and giving us directions. The beds are very comfy, the bathroom has little things you may have forgotten, and the kitchen has breakfast fixings. Perfect place to stay!

    Leslie2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Candice is a great host. The house is clean and wonderfully furnished - with coffee and creamer available and even milk and juice in the fridge. The beds are very comfortable and we all slept well. We enjoyed cooking our dinner and eating at the table with a pretty view over-looking the town. Candice has included many amenities, including shampoo, rinse, shower gel and lotion in the bathroom. Fluffy comfortable towels! She also communicated very timely with us so that we could check in with ease. Baker City is an interesting town with impressive metal sculptures of African animals dotting the street corners downtown. Giraffes, zebras, hippo, rhinoceros and etc. We will definitely return to Candice's house when we return to Baker City.

    Barbara2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place is just right on the edge of town only a couple minutes to get anywhere in Baker City, but in the country with an amazing view. Candice was very sweet and available if needed. It was so nice to be in a home away from home. The cereal and coffee was nice and convenient and the place had everything we needed. I would love to visit Baker City again some day and if I do I will definitely stay here again.

    Rob-Brandy2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was great! A very relaxing and homey feel after a long day of travel, beautiful sunrise this morning. Candace gave good local recs, made us feel welcome, and the place was clean and comfortable.

Located two blocks from town, is this cozy 1 bedroom/1 bath stay. You will enjoy beautiful scenery and wildlife right out your front door. Deer and turkeys are frequent company. The studio includes a queen sized bed, dresser, TV, keurig, small refrigerator, bathroom with standing shower, toilet and vanity, heat and WiFi.

  • Elaine’s place is nothing short of charming! Check in was so easy, especially since we were running behind because of traffic. The bed was extremely comfortable with wonderful flannel sheets! All of the decor was thoughtfully chosen and placed. An added bonus- Wild Turkey (not the whiskey) met us at our door along with deer right on property! All and all this was way beyond what we were expecting and if you get the chance to stay at Elaines, do not hesitate book immediately!

    Brooke2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot in a beautiful area! Everything thing was super clean and the space was amazing! Definitely would stay there again!

  • Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay in Sumpter.

    Grant2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would highly recommend Elaine’s Bonanza Suite. It is spotless, cozy, comfy and quiet. Nestled in the yellow pines of the Elkhorn Mountain Range. The suite is separate from the main house with convenient off street parking. A visit to this community is like stepping back in time.

    Darlene2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Clean welcoming and a very good value. Fun place to stay.

    Dan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice quiet place. Enjoyed the small mountain town of Sumpter. Highly recommend.

    Marty2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend! The bed was comfy and our hosts had thought of every detail from a fridge- coffee maker, and a hair dryer to providing extras such as water bottles and fancy shampoo,! The hosts were very friendly and gave us tips on where to go in town as well as some interesting tidbits about the area! We would love to stay here again!

    Kevin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • The room is a work in progress, but it was clean and neat. The antique-looking, massive wood bed frame is really unusual and the mattress is quite high off the floor, but it was very comfortable. The setting is basically in the woods with deer and turkeys roaming between the rustic-looking homes. The hostess is very accommodating and friendly. Nice people. We would stop there again.

Our quaint mother in-law quarters is in a wonderful location just blocks from Main Street, in a quiet neighborhood. Our personal residence is located right next door for any questions you might have. Baker City has tons to offer and we will be excited to point you in the right direction for your next adventure!
This house is a very old house built in early 1900's with many small quarks, but we have been working very hard to make it a very comfortable and clean place for you to stay. The faucets are backwards and the ceilings are low (just a heads up!) But we know you will be very comfortable. Also we are bee keepers so please note there is a hive in the backyard. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate. We are a well traveled family who loves to talk Bees, Gardening, Traveling and outdoor fun!
We are walking distance to Main Street where there is plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, and museums. But we are just far enough out you can enjoy a nice quiet evening in a lovely neighborhood.
  • We loved our stay in this cute house! Very clean and the beds were comfortable. Jen was very prompt in her responses and she made us feel very welcome and suggested a couple of good places for dinner in town. We are happy that we chose this instead of a hotel. The train noise did wake my husband and I up twice during the night, but the kids slept through it. Only thing we wished it would have had was a toaster and microwave. But we would stay again and recommend it to others!

    Heidi2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place to stay near downtown, was exactly what we were looking for on our way to Idaho. Was comfy to hang out in the living room before retiring to the loft/bed room

    Chad2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jen was an amazing hostess! Very considerate and communicative. The space was clean, stylish and warm (stayed in Nov). Unexpected perks included several musical instruments, GREAT books to read, and a comfy futon! I would highly recommend this AirBnB!

  • This is a great place and an awesome value. Great location, super clean and comfortable. Jen is a terrific person and a very thoughtful host. Don’t miss out!

    Dan2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very nice stay! Was just in town overnight on a work trip, and enjoyed the space. Easy walk from the house to downtown for dinner. The place was clean and comfortable, perfect for me. WiFi worked well for a video conference I had the next day as well. I did pick up a little train noise in the distance just FYI for people that might be light sleepers. Would recommend and I would stay again next time I come to town!

  • Staying at Jen’s place was great! We rolled up to Roger, a cheerful little home that is a friendly welcome. Jen had left helpful instructions about the house so we knew what was what. Everything was very clean, the space is comfortable and walkable to downtown Baker City. We enjoyed our stay very much, thank you Jen!

  • Neta's place was fantastic! It truly was like a home away from home. All the beds were comfortable and she had every little thing that one could possibly think of there for us if we needed it. Full service kitchen and laundry were so helpful. My daughter enjoyed the VHS in her bedroom TV. The pantry was even stocked believe it or not! We brought our dogs and they loved the fenced in backyard. We didn't get to meet Neta but she communicated with us before, during & after our stay and was immediately available should the need arise. We absolutely loved staying at this air bnb and will definitely return. We've never stayed in such a comfortable, stocked and thoughtful place! Try it. You won't be disappointed!

    Nissa2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Love this house. So comfortable and many thoughtful touches. Neta was a great host!

    Lorraina2019-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • We liked the house and all the equestrian oriented decorations. The hosts has clearly done lots of landscaping and the property looks great, some still in progress, but not a hindrance at all. Very nicely done. The beds were all comfortable and amenities in good shape. The back patio has seating and a bbq. The family room had conformable seating, TV, and several interesting books including one about the history of the US infantry. The hosts are clearly patriotic as are we. Easy directions and quick access to downtown. Would certainly stay again.

    Kevin2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great house. Nice back patio w/ bbq and seating. Beautiful front yard and deck to sit out on and relax. Clean. Patriotic home, loved that. Great books. Netas last minute accommodation was very helpful. Would stay again.

  • This was our first time using Airbnb so we did not know what to expect. This home exceeded our expectations. The price and location were spot on. We enjoyed the detailed theme throughout the home. Our daughter nearly exploded with excitement when she found the closet of movies. Plenty of room for everyone. Our only suggestion would be access to WiFi. We would definitely stay again.

  • An outstanding experience. Bruce and Teresa were excellent hosts, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and show us a good time. You can tell they truly care about taking care of their guests, and really put in extra effort. The log home itself is beautiful, and sparkling clean. Excellent access to Anthony Lakes skiing, and close to baker city, while still maintaining the feeling of being out in nature. It’s a really rejuvenating place to connect with nature and refresh yourself. They also have a super well behaved and friendly dog named Jazz, who everyone in our group loved! The breakfasts are AMAZING- worth coming for the food alone, so come hungry. What made the trip most special was that it really felt like visiting family- I’m not sure exactly how to describe it, but you’ll see what I mean when you visit. We can’t wait to come back!

The Robin House is within walking distance of both these establishments, which is why we initially selected it...and we will be booking again! The space is perfect for a couple. We felt immediately at home and the bed was soooo comfy. We were more than impressed with this cute little house, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. (And what a beautiful neighborhood in autumn!)

  • Perfect place for a getaway. Came into town for a fall photography shoot on the Sumpter Railway and this place was perfect. It’s clean, comfortable and cozy. There was chocolates, extra blankets and extra towels and the communication with the host was immediate. The location is great.

  • This is a great home. Bruce and Teresa are awesome!

    Tonja2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Meeting and speaking with Bruce and Teresa is like getting caught up with friends that I haven't seen in a long time. They are very accommodating, friendly hosts and they make a fantastic breakfast. There is a creek running near the house, and the soft sound helped put me to sleep. The house is filled with dozens of neat little touches that set the decor apart from other places I've stayed. If I ever take another trip to the area I would definitely stay again.

We are not going to allow pets due to allergies of guests. There is a designated parking spot for quests; additional parking available. This is a dirty driveway our road does have dust abatement applied to keep the dust down. Plan your ski vacation and get $10 off your lift ticket for Anthony Lake's Mountain Resort
This home is close to the Quail Ridge Golf Course, close to downtown to enjoy dinner at any of our wonderful restaurants or for a cold beer at the Beerded Dog!

  • Hands down one of our most favorites Air BnB stays!!! The house was spotless, up to date and we had no questions as soon as we walked in because everything was written out and easy to follow! Beds were comfy, awesome fire place out back and had the coolest shower! We will definitely be back if we are ever in the baker area again. Even the kids were bummed to leave. Thanks for the outstanding stay!
