The large deck has separate seating, dining areas and offers a lovely view of the lake. The lakefront is available exclusively for your enjoyment. This is a well appointed one bedroom space with a large deck that has a sitting, lounging and dining area overlooking the lake. There is a BBQ available. The entrance from deck to the cottage is where you will find the renovated and updated kitchen and bathroom along with a large screen TV. Safety features include; CO/smoke detectors and a fire extinguisher. The fully stocked kitchen includes a dishwasher and also complimentary spices and cooking oils. • I’ve stayed at Tom’s property previously and while it is always incredible, my visit during the pandemic was exceptional. Tom’s space is so comfortable and peaceful it gave me the getaway I needed. Tom’s place is always spotless however during these times he went the extra mile and left the appropriate cleaning supplies and told me to use as much as needed to feel comfortable. He practiced social distancing at check in and check out .... his efforts were welcomed. Highly recommend Tom’s place even though it causes a challenge for me to book when he’s so popular 🙂

  • Was a great place to stay, very clean and organized! Also a spectacular view.

  • This is a spectacular place in one of the less commercialized locations. We were here during the winter and plan to be back for other seasons!

  • Everything about our stay was wonderful. Tom was so lovely to meet and he respected our privacy during our entire stay. The cottage was spotless and very cozy. Everything we would've needed was provided for us and we really appreciated the extra brochures he left out! We would definitely stay here again :)

  • A beautiful & romantic getaway spot! We liked it so much the first night that we decided to extend our stay! 10/10 would recommend! We’ll definitely remember this place next time we want to stay in Gravenhurst :)

    Emma2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I decided to stay at Tom’s place this winter and I am beyond thankful we did. Not only is Tom’s home even more beautiful in person, but his kindness and hospitality made the experience even better (especially getting to meet his dog). The cottage is close to town and all necessities, and is the perfect relaxing get away for any couple or individual. I can’t wait to come back, and definitely plan to. Do yourself a favour and book this cottage ASAP.

Our place is right on the water with a lovely view and is close to several hiking trails. Property is located in a quiet and fairly secluded area but is minutes away from town, very close to grocery stores, LCBO, and several lovely little shops. Our place is best suited for couples or solo adventurers looking for a quiet retreat on the water. We have a 2-person canoe that our guests are welcome to use.
The cottage is a duplex and this apartment is one of two separate (but attached) self-contained living spaces. We have a BBQ for our guests to use and provide tea and coffee for our guests. We provide bedding and house towels. There's no air conditioning but we provide a fan.
  • Nadia and Marianne’s cozy cottage was exactly that. Perfect for two people and even though it was a duplex it was still very private. Very close to town and the shared dock was just steps down from the cozy cottage. Very helpful with accommodating us for our check in and gave us directions which helped make our check in stress free and easy. Thank you very much for a lovely experience.

  • My lucky streak with Airbnb’s continues as this place is amazing! It is what was described and Nadia was so nice! I definitely recommend this place.

    Cathy2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Nadia and Marianne were both great hosts and the place is exactly as expected, was perfect for us. We flew in early via Porter, Nadia took our stuff into their place and when we came back a few hours later, everything was neatly placed in our unit. Highlights: - place is exactly as it looks, a bit nicer than the pictures. - big patio/balcony, overlooking the lake - sun rises on other side, straight across...very nice place to sit with a drink at any time of day. - bbq works great; we don't smoke so no lighter or matches but the igniter works! Rare. - used both the kayak and canoe; a bit tippy, but, if you go over, which we didn't, the lake is pretty shallow so you can walk out quite a ways, and they have life vests at the house; head left and go up to Gull Lake Rotary Park where there's a nice beach and park area. - quiet - very relaxing stay! - wifi: works outside if you walk over to the table on the way down to the lake, nice place to sit; doesn't work inside or on balcony so for playing music/etc. you'll need your own setup. - location - right on the lake, nice and quiet and only 10-15min walk into Gravenhurst with lots of good shops, bars and restaurants, such as: Sawdust City for quite a range of craft beers (not our thing but tried a flight), Albion Tavern (dive bar with two pool tables), Oar Rest. has live music some nights, General Store has great homemade pizzas and pies, etc. to take home; 10min walk to other side of town is more touristy on Lake Muskoka, with a couple of big bars/restos, boardwalk, farmers market on Wed.; we highly recommend the steamships tour, which was a beautiful cruise out into the lake for a couple of hours with some good history. good selection of reasonably-priced beers on board. Overall, highly recommended. We hope to go back!

  • Great location, lovely responsive hosts, large clean rooms, warm swimming, gorgeous views. A rare chance to book a cottage per night in summer. Just note that you can hear everything your neighbours say on the attached next door deck of the duplex, and louder chatting from the dock and fire pit area. Otherwise it’s amazing.

    Laila2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location for a relaxing weekend. Nadia is a wonderful host, she met us upon check-in and wasn't intrusive at all during our stay. She advised that we were free to use her private dock on Gull Lake as well as Kayak and Canoe. The property has a patio overlooking Gull Lake with spectacular sunrise views.

    Callum2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, very hospitable and good location

    Adrianna2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Idyllic spot for a quiet getaway. Fantastic location for solo traveler traveling by bus.

    Claire2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, clean, and private space to spend a few days away from the city. Literally a two minute drive to a grocery store, lcbo, and other amenities. Very cute space with gorgeous views from the main living area. Nadia was readily available and responded to our questions immediately. Cannot recommend Nadia’s cottage enough to couples or individuals looking to get away for a while. You will not regret booking!!!!

  • This is our second visit to Stephen’s cottage. It was so hard to leave when it was time to check out. The dock gets sunshine all day long and the dock is right on the most amazing warm and clean water to swim in. It rained one morning and we just sat in their beautiful big living room watching the rain through their stunning floor to ceiling windows. We cooked and feasted in their beautiful big kitchen- it’s stocked with everything you need. This place is beautifully decorated, clean and cozy. It truly felt like home. The hosts were welcoming and were so helpful. We can’t wait to return.

    Anna2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent accommodations! Lots of indoor/ outdoor seating areas. Clean and open concept. Very comfortable beds. We spent most of our time on the sun drenched dock. Great for a family getaway - we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would highly recommend.

    Martha2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Steve was extremely quick in responding to any questions we had before our trip and offered a detailed summary to ensure we would make the most of our stay. His place was absolutely beautiful and completely surpassed our expectations- he had everything waiting for us (towels, paper towel, dish soap etc) so we didn’t have to pack extra. I can’t wait to go again.

    Justine2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Where to start!? Everything about this cottage was exceptional! Starting with Glen and Stephen’s hospitality who went out of their way to answer all of our questions before our arrival promptly, to helping us move our luggage to the cottage on arrival. The cottage itself belongs on the cover of a magazine - spotless, beautifully decorated wth a Canadiana flare, all the amenities you could want! (E.g coffee maker/nesperesso machine, fridge by the dock!, A/C, Bluetooth speaker, plastic glasses for the docks). They really thought of everything. The cabin gets afternoon sunlight, but is very private, the perfect combination. Best part is, you get sun all day long on the dock and the lake is warm. I would 1000% book to stay here again! Only have positive things to say about this place and Glen and Stephen.

    Lori2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • this property is absolutely breathtaking! private and cozy with so many great spots to relax in. great views from the house deck, hammock or lounging on the dock. we had sun all day on the dock and the water was SO BEAUTIFUL and clear. the water was such a comfortable temperature to swim in. the hosts were so helpful and quick to respond to any of our questions. this week we spent at Stephens cottage was the highlight of our summer. we cannot wait to return and we hope to make it a yearly tradition to spent a week on this property.

Sitting on top of natural Muskoka bedrock, this friendly cottage looks out over the scenic Muskoka River. Whether canoeing, swimming, sitting by a campfire or exploring the 5+ acres, you can expect a relaxing and fun filled stay.
This simple cottage provides a nice bright kitchen, a living area, 2 bedrooms with a double bed in one and a double/single bunk bed in the other. The 3 piece bathroom has a shower only. A barbecue ( with propane provided) and a screened in area allow some extra space to enjoy outdoor meals together. There is a fire pit on the rock ridge near the cottage and another down at the beach. As you will see from our many reviews, we have always provided a vacation accommodation that is "sparkling clean". However, due to the Corona virus outbreak, we have instructed our cleaning staff to disinfect every frequently touched surface between reservations using disinfectant products recommended by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). You can rest assured that all linens provided ( sheets, pillow cases, comforters, towels and tea towels) will be laundered following the methods outlined by Air bnb based on the recommendations by the CDC. For your protection and peace of mind, the following items will be available for you during your stay: hand sanitizer, disposable gloves, Lysol wipes, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels, tissues and toilet paper.
The cottage is on a large property with a large playing field and access to the river. You do have to walk across a lawn to get to the river. The town of Bracebridge is less than 10 minutes away for shopping, parks, trails and other activities.
  • The cottage is perfect! Location is amazing especially if you enjoy canoeing or kayaking and hiking! There were so many gorgeous hiking trails near by, and one day while we were there it rained so we went to a near by movie theatre that was so charming! My favourite was the closed in patio! We curled I’m up blankets and watched the rain and read books and worked and it was absolutely peaceful and relaxing. Dave and Linette were fantastic, they were quick to respond to any questions and reached out to ensure we had everything we needed. Thanks again Dave and Linette!

    Kaitlyn2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my family of 3 boys enjoyed our stay at Linette and Dave's place. The cottage is just enough for us and everything was what we expected. The host and the place are highly recommended!

  • Awesome stay and worth it!

    Maher2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. We felt very looked after and had absolutely everything we needed and more! Definitely will try to stay again.

    Morgan2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing little cottage ! Perfect spot and very friendly hosts ! Will definitely recommend ! Thank you Dave & Linette for an amazing stay !

    Audrey2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • I have to say the place is cozy and comfortable but a little tiny. Linette greeted us herself even if we arrived in the dark, she gave us some instructions about the fireplace. One thing you need to know before you book: the house has a different hot water system, so maybe you might be in lack of hot water if you take any bath longer than 20 minutes, and taking bath in different time of the day is a better choice!!

    Hong2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • Linette and Dave were great hosts and accommodated a change in family plans which was much appreciated. They were friendly and responsive, making our stay a memorable one in their beautiful little cottage. Thanks again for everything.

    Karla2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Our small group enjoyed a rustic cottage getaway for one night before our wedding, the guys enjoyed their time in Linette and Dave’s little oasis! The hosts were very responsive and helpful with check-in and receptive to our needs during booking and throughout the stay!

    Cody2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Everything is as described. Great location, perfect size for 2 couples. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. Was a $9 cab ride into the little village for dinner recommended by the hosts and about 15min drive to Muskoka Brewery.

Cottage nicely nestled in woods. Drive makes more feel of a cottage town. Gravenhurst town is about 25 mts drive from the property. If you need groceries, Restaurants everything in town of Gravenhurst. Location is not like Toronto or any suburbs around in GTA. It’s absolutely a cottage town nothing close to walking distance. Our deeded access water on goldfinch road. Franklin park is a public small beach . It’s about 3 minutes drive and a nice for swimming and other water activities.
Walking distance to deeded access water. 3 minutes drive to public beach, park and Marina and silver pine restaurant( check restaurant hrs before you go). All year around quiet cottage sitting beautifully with no neighbours around the property. Lots of trees surrendered by the property for privacy.
Pine Restaurant is couple of minutes drive from the cottage, you should try their fish and chips. Beside the restaurant, there’s a public beach, marina/dock. Trails goes through for snowmobiles, Atv lovers. Plenty of ice fishing all around the water (please check local forecast to find out the thickness of the ice)
  • This is 100% worth the trip! We drove 5 hours to the destination and don’t regret a minute of it! My boyfriend and I brought our two dogs and we had a blast! Would love to come back and enjoy this little paradise again!

Dates scooped? Worry not! "The best thing to hold onto in life is each other" -- Audrey Hepburn Trenanthia Cottage is a fun loving, hot tubbing, sauna steaming & fire crackling cottage to help ya smile a little broader, laugh a little louder & live a little bigger! We've been renting to lovely folks for over a dozen years. Take a look around our website for oodles of photos of our "OG" cottage (Original Grandma, of course) and reach out for more info on our "New Cottage" & "Woody" Cottage - all three are similarly fab Muskoka lakeside cottages. Just search the internet for Trenanthia Cottage and voilà (or stalk us on social media :) Life is bigger™ when we connect
People have been coming to vacation in Muskoka since the 19th century. And why not when there's so much natural entertainment to choose from? Gather your friends & family to share canoeing, fishing, playing horseshoes & volleyball, building sand castles on the beach or a round of good old fashioned board games. Even when it's cold outside, make memories to keep you warm: ice-fishing, skating, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snow fort building or our personal favourite, building massive snowpeople :)

Experience the rustic magic of Muskoka in one of our glamping cabins. Get all the fun and adventure of camping in the woods but without the need to pitch a tent! These partially off-grid wood cabins provide you with a roof over your head, beds to support your back, and a woodstove to warm your toes. The cottage is located on a serviced, year round road; it is heated with a propane furnace in addition to an open wood fireplace and has a firepit by the lake. There are many trails nearby and it is great location for fishing, hiking, swimming, water skiing sea-dooing or just enjoying time with your family and friends. Sandy beach, water depth is ~4-5 feet off the docks. The depth drops 20-30’ out where there is noticeable water current. There is under water eel grass weed that’s roughly 2’ high. Cottagers swim, water ski , jet ski and tube in Mclean’s Bay that is part of Sparrow lack, big boats also anchor from time to time and there are many good pockets for fishing. There are bass, walleye, pike, cat fish, blue gill, black crappie and yellow perch There are also a couple of water planes in the bay that land and take off frequently in the summer. You will see a boat traffic 80’ out since the lake is part of Trent waterway but this traffic is mainly at the edge of Maclean’s bay. In terms of wildlife you can come across loons, humming bird beavers, wood peckers, blue jays, wild turkeys, flocks of newly born Canada Geese can come on the beach and on very rare occasions deer and black bear.

  • Amazing location that is very close to main roads. The lake and the view are amazing. Glenn is easy to get in touch with if you need to.

    Amelia2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a bargain during the season. It's a quaint little rustic cottage by the lake. We could go down the wooden stairs to get to the deck near the lake and spend some nice evening time. Couldn't use the BBQ though in the open among the woods coz it was raining that day. But the cooking range in the kitchen was working perfectly, so we enjoyed cosy time inside the cottage. The heating system worked pretty well considering the age of the cottage. Had an actual fire heating and an electric heater in separate rooms. Open kitchen and a lovely view from the living room, makes u feel like sitting by the bay windows with your cup of tea all afternoon. Located close from the Lady Muskoka cruise. The drive way is little tricky but we were mentally prepared before booking. It was an amazing fall stay among all the fall Colours of the woods around

    Amrapali2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described, nice spot.

    Christian2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay at Glenn's cabin. The place did capture the children's imagination. Our host Glenn was so helpful and organised a canoe for our stay and we loved being on the lake early morning and evening. It is a calm and relaxing place, just what we wanted.

    Celine2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn was an accommodating host who was quick to communicate. His cottage is a lovely location close to Gravenhurst. Even if you forget something it only takes 5-10min to get to town. Sunny Lake itself is a lake which is quiet at the time of the year which I went (mis September) which is ideal for anyone looking for R+R I recommend to any family or even as a rustic and romantic retreat in the bush

Gravenhurst is know as the Gateway to Muskoka. You can cruise on one of the historic steamships, visit the Opera House or the Muskoka Brewery. There is something exciting happening almost every weekend, all summer long. Gull Lake has a public beach, with lifeguards only a few minuets away. Self serve continental breakfast to enjoy at your leisure.
  • Hans was very accommodating! We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future!

    Dylan2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Hans's place was lovely to stay and explore Muskoka. Actually the bedroom and living area are much better than the pictures displayed on the listing. We had the bedroom, and the kitchen plus living area with a cute little dining table, and the bathroom to us. Perfect for 2. It was completely private with a separate entrance. Hans was very sweet and prompt in responding to messages.

  • The House in the Forest I was really pleased with my choice to stay here. Christel and Hans were fabulous hosts. I really enjoyed having a whole accommodation to myself complete with separate entrance. Being in the forest was a nice change, but not far away from restaurants and sightseeing. If you like the trails, there's the Old Stone Road Trail. I would definitely stay there again. So my rating is based on my experience.

    Robert2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay with warm, welcoming hosts! The place is very quiet and private, located in a forest and with a beautiful view of the stars at night. The kitchen was well-stocked with supplies for cooking and we appreciated the extra breakfast items that were left for us. Very close to a lot of places worth visiting - lakes, dark sky preserve and parks. Would definitely stay here next time I visit!

This micro bachelor cabin is located behind the lakeside inn hotel. C2 is a apartment in a cabin that has two apartments side by side. The studio style space comes equipped with a queen sized bed and a smart TV. The apartment has a bathroom with a bathtub shower and a kitchenette area that consists of a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, table and chairs. Note: there is no stove for cooking but there is a hot plate for light cooking. Please bring your own dishes.n
There is a bbq area and fire pit in the yard next to the cabin. It is a shared access area for all the guests staying at the property. There is a dock and water access for swimming.
Mara provincial Park is a 20 min walk from us. It has a large sandy beach which is great for spending the day at! It is free if you walk or bike there but unfortunately, during their busy season they do charge approximately $15 for car parking in July/August. We are a quick 5 minute drive or 6kms from downtown Orillia along with a 5 minute or 7km drive to Casino Rama! There is a nature trail that runs through Tudhope Park along the water and leads you to downtown Orillia and Couchiching beach water front park. The suggestion is to ask the landlord to fix the living room to the door of the terrace.

Beautiful treed cottage in Gravenhurst. Includes a deck overlooking treed landscape. Close to private residential beach area, marinas, art shops, & restaurants, grocery stores. Cottage is located on-top of rock with deck surrounding 3 sides. BBQ at the cottage, or roast marshmallows and hotdogs around the fire pit. Full kitchen with new stove, fridge, washing machine/dryer. Cottage is completely furnished with amenities, 2 bedrooms in upper attic area & bedroom on main floor.
The area is a combination of both cottagers and permanent residents. People in the areas are friendly, accommodating and very respectable.
  • My husband, myself and another couple had a lovely experience at Stan’s cottage property in Gravenhurst. Our stay was just as wonderful as we had hoped and the property was even more beautiful than the pictures illustrate. The bathroom, bedrooms and kitchen were really well outfitted with all of the key necessities, which made our stay very easy and comfortable. We visited the beach daily, which was a short walk away and drove into town regularly, which was a short 10 min drive. We would definitely love to visit again and hope to soon!

    Allison2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great weekend at Stan's cottage, will definitely be back and would recommend to all family and friends.

    Jimmy2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for what you get. Lovely, lovely cottage, lots of “northern charm” decor. The deck was wonderful, ample seating and tasteful. What you see is what you get with the cottage. Our only complaints are things that Stan couldn’t control - like the mosquitos! So bad that it was hard to be outside, but, what do you expect, it’s summer in Muskoka :-) As others commented, the place has lots of stairs, so keep that in mind if you have trouble with that, but, in my opinion, the grand staircase entrance up to the cottage itself really adds to the beauty of the place!

    Allison2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • You are going to love this property, and the closeness of the beach and surrounding area to do little daily tours. If you have trouble with stairs this is not the place for you. Several stairs going up to the cottage, and then there are two bedrooms upstairs, and one downstairs. Although there aren't that many stairs inside the cottage, they are pretty steep so if there is anyone who needs to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and you're sleeping upstairs this could pose a problem. Also if anyone in your group is elderly, or has musculoskeletal injuries/issues they may have difficulty climbing the stairs. There were 5 females, and only 2 rolls of toilet paper provided so BYOTP! All in all the cottage was lovely with many places to sit and relax, plenty of firewood, dishes etc. and super comfortable :)

    Shelley2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is really beautiful, just like other reviewers before me said. Dos and Don'ts clearly stated and described, communication quick and efficient. Would recommend a stay any time!

    Birgitt2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed; very beautiful cottage.

    Michael2018-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little cottage in Muskoka. Has everything you'd want with a bbq, outdoor seating areas (including one inside netting), fire pit and a 10 min walk to a nice local beach. We had a great time at the Cottage on the Rocks.

  • Beautiful cottage very comfortable, with lots of charm and nicely decorated. Planted in full nature, beautiful terraces all around. Please note: the washing machine and dryer are not accessible to tenants. Excellent communication with the owner. Only a dishwasher and fewer mosquitoes are needed. Thank you !

Nestled in the trees our custom home welcomes you to the historic and quaint town of Gravenhurst known as the "Gateway to Muskoka". Offering a tranquil space with a queen bed, cozy furnishings, and a large window overlooking the natural granite rock and tree filled back yard. Located a five minute walk to our neighbourhood beach on picturesque Lake Muskoka, ten minute walk to the historic downtown core, & twenty minutes walk to the beautiful Muskoka Wharf.
From handmade furniture to custom linens your room has been designed with love down to every last detail. Looking out your window are views of our naturally forested yard and classic Muskoka granite rock outcroppings. Across from your bedroom is a freshly renovated bathroom complete with fresh towels, a bathtub, and a shower. On the main floor you can spend some time relaxing in a charming living room engulfed in natural light or have a nice meal in the dining nook. If you need to keep anything in the refrigerator let us know and we will accommodate you as best as we can!
Gravenhurst, otherwise known as "The Gateway to Muskoka" is located in the South end of Ontario's finest four-season destination - Muskoka. Gravenhurst offers a vibrant community rich in Arts, Culture and Heritage and is home to some of the best events, recreational facilities and outdoor activities in Muskoka. Within a five minute walk from our home you will find Lorne Street Park. Between 1940 and 1946 the government operated a Prisoner of War camp holding German officers transferred from England to keep them from being freed from invaders to Britain. Unlike the POW camps of Europe this camp was, by all standards, a vacation spa for the prisoners. They even had a swimming area and an aquarium... their biggest form of torture would have mainly been the Mosquitos!! Today the park includes remnants of the POW camp, some benches overlooking the beautiful Lake Muskoka, a small beach, and a popular spot locals call "The Cliffs" for taking a jump into the lake. Ten to fifteen minutes walk from our home you will discover our town centre. Downtown Gravenhurst offers many quaint retail and culinary options, many antique and vintage stores, grocery and convenience stores and even it's own craft brewery (Sawdust City). Not to miss is the Gravenhurst Opera House as well as the Norman Bethune House. Twenty or so minutes walk from the house is the Muskoka Wharf, an 89 acre celebration of Gravenhurst's unique and varied heritage. Completed in 2005 this location offers dining, shopping, history and heritage and is home to some of our Community's signature events as well as our Muskoka Boat and Heritage Center and the home of the RMS Winona and the oldest operating steamship the RMS Segwun. If you're here on a Wednesday check out our farmers market one of the biggest in Ontario or come visit us during the Antique and Classic Boat Show or Dockside Festival of the Arts. We could go on and on about our beloved town but there's more to be seen in Muskoka outside of Gravenhurst. We've lived here over 30 years so whatever you want to get out of your trip to Muskoka we can help guide the way!
  • Rosemary and Jenna are the ideal Airnbnb hosts. From start to finish I felt so comfortable and welcome, and these two ladies truly went above and beyond to make sure I was well taken care of while in Gravenhurst. If ever I needed anything a quick text meant that they got back to me immediately and answered any questions I had about the area. The room was SO cozy, clean and had a beautiful window out into the woods. I had a wonderful sleep and a light breakfast was on the kitchen table for me in the morning. A bonus is that the cat of the house is incredibly cute. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. Thanks you two! xoxo

  • Rosemary and Jenna are great host and the place is amazingly pretty! We absolutely love it and had a great weekend there. Rosemary provided us many local tips and made me and my mom feel like home this whole time. Greatly appreciate it! Highly recommend this place!

  • We had a lovely, lovely time in this warm, cozy and very friendly house :) Rosemary and Jenna are great hosts and their "good vibes only" and their positive energy really made us feel like home :) we even went to a pubquiz together and had so much fun! We would really want to go back in one blink of an eye (so heck yes, highly recommended to stay there in beautiful Gravenhurst)

  • I had the absolute pleasure of staying with Rosemary and Jenna. They were warm, welcoming, kind and generous. I felt so at home. They took a real interest in me which was really nice for someone travelling alone. They provided suggestions and tips for activities, places to visit, and restaurants where I could dine that would accommodate my special diet. Their home is sparkling clean and tastefully decorated. The room is very relaxing and looks out onto the back yard. It is very quiet. The bed is comfortable. The home is an easy drive from downtown Gravenhurst, but this distance could be walked as well. Rosemary and Jenna were very attentive and thought of all my needs. I didn't want to leave. Highly recommended!!

    James2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rosemary and Jenna’s house was beautiful and well decorated. But more importantly the energy floating in that house was incredibly positive. You’ll have your private bathroom and the room is cozy and comfortable. The location was close to everything around, beach, restaurants and shops, etc. Rosemary was such a knowledgeable and lovely host, we had great conversations while she made us a delicious coffee in the morning. Highly recommend their place :)

Small and sweet this tiny bedroom that has a good mattress is off to one side of the farm house. There are 2 bedrooms that share this hall way and steps leading up to it. This room has 14 tiny steps. There is a tiny window. There is only a fan to cool you off in the summer. In the morning enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee or tea
Rental of this room also includes the use of the sunroom on the main floor.
There could be some times loud fire works as people celebrate a few times in the summer and they are heard a mile away or so.
  • Kay is the most hospitable host ever on AirBnb! She went above and beyond anything I could have expected. Her place was amazing. While I booked the single room, she let me stay in the double room. The place was immaculately clean. The bathroom was beautiful, and had everything I could need. • Tom's place was amazing! I cannot put into words my experience, however to sum it all up; the cottage was a perfect getaway from the city.. cottage is very clean, fully furnished unit aith Heating & cooling.. also has a nice fireplace, and don't worry... the beds are comfortable !! The most amazing part of the cottage howevee is the amazing view of the Lake whether youre inside at the dinner table, or outside in the backyard having a bonfire... Unfortunately we werent able to go onto the water because of the current social distancing measures, however the lake was beautiful. Great spot for animals, we brought out pupp up and he loved the hiking trails around the cottage The next door neighbor Rick is very friendly & has beautiful well trained golden retriever... so give him a wave if you do happen to see him. All in all, I'll definitely be visiting this cottage again before this summer is over for amother weekend.

  • Tom was an excellent host and the place was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our next visit.

    Dustin2020-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • Tom was a wonderful host. He was quick to respond to any questions we had even weeks and days before our stay was booked for! The cottage was just as pictured and it was well equipped with any spare things we might have forgotten. It was challenging finding a place that allowed pets but Tom was more than accommodating when we asked if we could bring both of our huskies. It was the perfect place for a relaxing escape and we will definitely try to come back in the future. 😊

    Michelle2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • Toms place was very clean and very cozy, and upon arrival he was very friendly showing us around which was awesome!, the view of the lake was beautiful, loved that there was a trail that was not even far at all, I will be definitely coming back to stay at Tom’s place again I recommend for any family or couple’s or just a couple friends going up.

    Karen2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Toms cottage was an amazing stay, perfect for a couples getaway or for a small family. The cottage was spotless when we got there and he had everything that we needed for our stay. Plus, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything that you’d ever need! The interior decoration is really well done and the views of the backyard are breathtaking. Tom also left some firewood and kindling for us so that we could use the fire-pit in the back. Getting there was easy and the town is only a 10 minute drive away so if you forget anything there’s no need to worry. An added bonus was that his cottage is pet friendly so I got to bring my dog along and he had a blast. Lots of room for him to run around and the trans Canada trail is literally across the street from the cottage. The neighbours are friendly and the street is almost dead silent apart from the few cars that you might hear drive by. I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a peaceful cottage right on the lake, and I would love to stay there again.

  • Clean, comfortable & cozy cottage

    Laurel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's cabin ended up being the perfect, cozy, peaceful stay for a romantic getaway! My girlfriend and I really appreciated the perfect cleanliness and amazing location of the cabin on the lake (perfect for a morning coffee staring out at the lake or enjoying the stars. The host was very kind and always available if we had any questions. Also, the amenities such as the beds and couches were extremely comfortable so we loved just cozying up with a hot chocolate by the fireplace and staying in after a long day of exploring the town and beautiful nature of Gravenhurst. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway in comfort.

    Darren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • It was everything and more . Tom was amazing host with the friendly greet at the door and the walk through of the cottage ..its beautiful sparkling clean and cozy .would recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking to just relax from all the hustle and bustle.

Sunny Muskoka Cabin! A bit Cape Cod on the outside, a bit Scandinavian on the inside Three bedrooms, including the year-round A-frame bunkie Includes: - Two Kayaks, One Canoe, and all of the equipment - Cedar Barrel Outdoor Sauna - Brand new Muskoka Room - Forced Air heat + Woodstove! - Firewood - Board games - Netflix - High speed Wi-Fi Backs onto Crown forest and wetlands, less than a 5-minute walk to Kahshe Lake We've selected 'hot tub' as an amenity, in lieu of 'sauna' being an option
The cabin has been completely renovated, with new hardwood floors, thick pine trim, oversized windows, and updated kitchen, bath and laundry facilities. We've furnished it with mostly mid-century or mid-century modern furniture. New cedar barrel electric sauna installed for your use. Note - we've listed 'hot tub' as an amenity, by which we mean the sauna. I always search for hot tub listings hoping for one or the other, so do note there is a sauna but not a hot tub. The cabin has forced air heating which also heats under-floor to keep your toes warm. There is also a wood burning stove that you're welcome to use if you're comfortable. We have plenty of wood on site for your use. There are two bedrooms in the cabin and another in the A-frame bunkie. One bedroom has a queen bed, one with a double, and the bunkie has a queen. The front bedroom with the double bed is exposed to the outdoors without blinds, with full windows on 3 sides - There are no outdoor lights to keep you awake, so it feels almost like sleeping outside. This room is especially cosy, as it's right around the corner from the wood stove. The rear bedroom has a queen bed and one large window to the side. The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the cabin providing excellent privacy. The A-frame bunkie is our favourite of the three. It's about 60 feet from the cabin and is heated for winter. It includes a queen bed, large deck, 16' ceilings, lots of windows, and complete privacy. You'll have access to this building for your 5th and 6th guests, if applicable. We have high-speed Wi-Fi and a TV with Netflix, Crackle and YouTube. Additionally, there's a retro stereo up there that plugs into the earphone jack on your phone or iPod (iPhone Lightning attachment as well). The outside space includes a new Muskoka room attached to the cabin, so you have the option of being outside without swatting for mosquitos :). The bunkie deck is elevated and almost always sunny. The property is very well treed, and still gets a lot of sun in the clearing. There is a large pile of softwood at the rear of the property meant for outdoor burning in the fire pit - you're welcome to use it for a large outdoor fire any time of year. We love winter fires out there. The cabin is a five minute walk from the public pier and boat launch (free). You're welcome to bring a couple chairs up there an relax by the water, jump in for a swim, or launch our canoe or kayaks. You can also bring your own boat if you'd like. A 5 minute drive (10 minute bike ride) brings you to a large, beautiful public beach. There's parking and two floating docks there for your use. It's sandy out as far as you can touch your toes. There is both sun and shade at the beach. We are just off of Kahshe Lake, which is the 4th largest in Muskoka, and is full of islands, generally shallow, and great for fishing. We encourage you take the canoe/kayaks out to an uninhabited island for a day if you're feeling adventurous. If you plan to go boating, please note there are many hidden rock formations underwater in one section of the lake, so it's best to consult a nautical map before heading out. Winter activities can be accessed right from our cabin. The street is very long and a dead-end - perfect for snow shoeing or cross-country skiing. There are also many nearby trails to use, with all information provided upon arrival in your Welcome Book. We've got two pairs of snowshoes here you can use.
Gravenhurst is a great place to vacation! Our cabin is only 1:45 from downtown Toronto (plus traffic, call it 2 hours), and only an hour from Algonquin Park if you want to hit some trails. Our street is a dead-end, so it's pretty quiet. You can access both the pier and the public beach without having to go to the highway, so it's very peaceful to walk or ride your bike. The Town of Gravenhurst declares itself the "Gateway to the Muskoka Lakes" and is the home port of the RMS Segwun, the oldest vessel powered by a working steam engine in North America. There is a beautiful boardwalk area in Gravenhurst with many nice shops and restaurants as well.
  • We had an amazing time and Mike was always a text away! We really enjoy cooking and there was no shortage of utensils. The sauna is an amazing touch, as is the indoor fireplace. Highly recommend :)

  • A great winter getaway spot to relax and unwind! This place felt like home as soon as we stepped inside. The fireplace, sauna, snow shoes, and fully equipped kitchen made our stay. Mike was a fantastic host, and very quick to reply to any questions. We would definitely stay here again!

  • This cabin is a super cute place to call home for a vacation. My family and I enjoyed the winter weather in the yard. Stayed cozy around the indoor fire. And the sauna was an absolute treat ! The bunkie gets nice and warm and has a perfect view of the moon as you fall asleep 💗

Experience the rustic magic of Muskoka in one of our glamping cabins. Get all the fun and adventure of camping in the woods but without the need to pitch a tent! These partially off-grid wood cabins provide you with a roof over your head, beds to support your back, and a woodstove to warm your toes. They are built with a minimal 12-volt electrical system to provide lights and a small USB charge, but to otherwise eliminate the constant buzz of EMFs and allow you to sink into nature.
The cabins are designed for campers and nature lovers who are comfortable without the comforts of modern life. Please read our description in full as these cabins are unique and do not include many modern amenities found in hotels. This cabin is one of 5 at our small rustic eco-therapy retreat center, Pura Vida Soul Institute. It is nestled amidst the trees along a small trail in our 22-acre natural forest. They are situated close to the washrooms, studio, and parking. Included in the cabin: • 1 King Bed OR 2 Single Beds (Please indicate your preference when booking) • Large sweeping windows for forest views and cool breezes • Covered deck with 2 chairs for lounging • Woodstove (This is the only heat source in the cabin) • 2 small end tables • Luggage rack • Overhead LED lighting • USB charger • Bedsheets, pillows, and blankets • Picnic Table • Private fire pit for roasting marshmallows • Lighters or matches • Hot water, coffee, tea • Breakfast (Typically includes toasts, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea) • Free Parking NOT Included in the cabin: • Interior chairs or seating area • Kitchen or cooking appliances (Please bring a camp stove or grill if you wish to cook onsite) • Private bathroom (There are shared bathrooms & showers in the main building – a short 1-2 minute walk from the cabin) • No electrical outlets, no wifi, no tv • Wood (Guest may purchase wood onsite at $5/box. Guests typically use 1-3 boxes per night depending on outside temperatures). • Lunch or dinner • Fire Fairy to start and stoke your fire all night (Guests are responsible for starting and maintaining the woodstove. If you are uncomfortable maintaining a fire we don’t recommend visiting us during winter months as you will be very cold without a fire). • Ice (Please purchase in town before arrival) • Yoga classes, workshops, or other services NO SMOKING: We are a NON Smoking property. Guests are not permitted to smoke in the cabins or on the property at any time. Please do not reserve with us if you need require the ability to smoke during your stay. When staying with us you will be snuggled by our 22-acre privately owned Muskoka forest designed to protect wildlife that is quiet and tucked away from the busy tourist locations. Most of our guests use our location as a resting point between the many attracts in Muskoka, Severn, and Simcoe counties or as a place to simply relax and hear their own thoughts. When staying onsite you may enjoy walking our Self-Guided Nature Art Walking Tail Experience (no charge) or using our studios for your own yoga or meditation practice. There are plenty of opportunities to view our wild animals including birds, wild turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, and many other friendly creatures of the forest. There is a Short 5-10 minute drive to more than 5 beaches, lakes, and rivers (Experience a new one each day!)
  • Amazing winter glamping experience, super cute cabins heated by wood fire stove. Just make sure you are willing to get up to add wood in the fire overnight to keep the cabin warm. It’s all part of the experience :) The yoga retreat vibes here are lovely and really add to the experience. The tea/coffee/and hot water bottles available 24/7 in the main lodge really complemented the experience!

    Helen2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at the bear suite and it was very cozy! We loved the view outside of the cabin and it almost felt as if we were alone in the wilderness. The main house has all the amenities and the shower facilities worked well. The breakfast was also delicious. We were especially huge fans of the almond milk with chia seeds pudding. Just a friendly reminder for those staying in the winter: The only heat source comes from the wood oven, therefore you will need to be patient! Jennifer provides clear instructions in the listing, so as long as you remain patient, you should be able to get the fire going! For those who have troubles lighting the oven, there are also quick light logs for purchase to assist you, so you should be fine. It was fun practicing how to build the fire that took some trial and error, but we both enjoyed the process. For anyone looking for a glamping experience in a cozy wood cabin in Muskoka region, I’d highly recommend this place!

    Glendon2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is really great, feels secluded in the forest with a nice wood stove heating the whole cabin. Was a very wonderful option for Valentines day. Jennifer is really responsive and an awesome host. To anyone travelling there in winter, get the starter log and save yourself some time trying to get the fire started, it's well worth it!

    Tom2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had an amazing time despite the cold. Make sure you know how to light up and maintain a fire before you go if it’s during winter months. Appreciated the breakfast in the morning :)

    Yann & Yann2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing experience. Cute cabin in the woods exactly as pictured. Everything was super easy. We enjoyed a bonfire by our cabin in the evening. Breakfast was fresh fruit and baked goods with with some tea and coffee. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hopefully will come back one day.

    Jeremy2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great city getaway. We’ll definitely be back.

    Gary2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was by far the best air bnb I have stayed at. Jennifer’s place is so beautiful and cozy and I highly recommend to anyone who wants a “glamping” experience or simply wants to get away from the city and enjoy peace and quiet in nature. Checking in was extremely easy and all amenities needed were there. We really loved our stay and will definitely be returning in the future!

With far more space than an ordinary hotel room, our Patio Suites provide you with plenty of room to stretch out and relax. The Patio Suites sleeps 4 adults with room for a blow up mattress for children or crib/play pen or pet crate. The patios have iconic Muskoka chairs for enjoying the Muskoka sunshine or night sky.
The neighbourhood is very quiet and tranquil. Gull Lake Park is just a minute walk away with a sandy beach to enjoy the sun and water on hot Muskoka summer days.
  • The space is beautiful, clean, fresh, and very spacious for a couple. They allow you to bring well behaved pets, which is amazing. The location is phenomenal- walk to the water in seconds and to the Sawdust Brewery (the best spot in town!!) in 10mins. Wonderful host- amazing communication. And they include a free beer tasting at the brewery

  • Myself & my family spent the August long weekend at the Lone Pine Inn. Theresa was an awesome host!! She was very friendly and went above & beyond for us. The unit was clean and stocked with everything we might need, bonus that they are dog friendly! The Inn is located in a nice quiet area but close enough to walk to the park and beach, this was perfect when staying with two children. We had a great time and will definitely be back again!!

    Christina2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The Lone Pine inn was cozy yet comfortable. The location was the best since it was close to a park, beach, and downtown. With a toddler, these things were key. Check in and check out were both very straight forward. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting to visit Gravenhurst for a couple of days.

This micro bachelor cabin is located behind the Lakeside Inn Hotel. C1 is a private apartment in a cabin that has two apartments side by side. The studio style space comes equipped with a queen sized bed and a smart TV. The apartment has a bathroom with a bathtub shower and a kitchenette area that consists of a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, table and chairs.
There is a Tim Hortons, Kawatha Lakes ice cream, Duck Worth’s fish and chips, Wild Wings, and Koi sushi place all within walking distance.
  • Get spot right by the lake, great time!!

  • The cabin is located right by the lake. It is spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Perfect for a winter getaway for my husband and I. It was frigidly cold the night we were there and the cabin was nice and warm!We look forward to staying here again. The walls between cabin 1 and 2 are quite thin so would be ideal if you are friends with the people in the next cabin.

    Sandra2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Spotless, stylish, warm and cozy. The hosts were friendly, welcoming and accommodating. It’s was a cold blistering stormy night, the room was warm and inviting when I walked in. The bed was comfortable, added touches toiletries, coffee, everything you could need. I can imagine in the summer this place would be even better and I hope to have to come out this way in the summer. Highly recommend this place. The value for the price is perfect. Thank you!
