  • I had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The place was very cozy and relaxing. Kelly left a binder full of local recommendations for breweries, lunch/dinner spots, and the house rules, which was very helpful! I was staying in the lower level for a work trip during the week and the other tenants upstairs were a little rowdy during quiet hours — I’m very thankful that Kelly quickly stepped in when I messaged her. For a family or friend trip, I would probably recommend renting the whole place 😊

  • The description and pictures are accurate! I would definitely recommend staying there!

    Shuler2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed at Kelly's place several times. I love it! I love the woodsy setting. It is immaculate! A very homey, comfortable place to spend a night or two.

  • Wonderful stay. Great distance from Duluth. Comfortable and quiet.

    Christine2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly's place is outstanding! Very clean and we felt very much at home. She took good care of us by providing starters for breakfast and no shortage of basic supplies. The location is beautiful, isolated, and very cozy. Trips for groceries and supplies can be kind of tricky. Expect to pay a good amount for rides into Duluth and deliveries. Likely not an issue if you have your own car though. Unfortunately we did not. The fireplace was a little disappointing. It's electric and felt more like a big space heater, but we definitely never went cold. The bedroom and living room each had very nice Samsung smart TVs. Probably the nicest entertainment centers I've ever seen in an AirBNB. There were several locked doors, one in each room, that caused us a bit of unease at first, but we quickly got used to it and forgot they were there. Unusual amount of rules that aren't made totally clear until you get there. For example, you're only limited to 4 guests and they seemed unusually stern about it. Although I'm sure they just want to keep the place nice for their guests, which we appreciated. I've never been a host myself and probably just don't realize how destructive people can get. All and all a very good experience and we'd definitely stay with Kelly again without a second thought.

  • Great area and the place was cozy!

    Stefanie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly responds promptly and the Airbnb was spacious and cozy. The location is great, close to Duluth and other quaint towns along the Northshore. Highly recommend!

  • Nice comfy space, really lowkey and chill and very clean! Perfect location if you’re going to spirit! 10/10

Our 225 sq ft (11.5’x19.5’) “guesthouse” is in front of our home on Island Lake, straight north of Duluth. 18 miles from Downtown, 20 miles from Canal Park (20-30 min drive). ***OUR RENTAL accommodation is now REQUIRED TO BE A PART OF OUR MAIN HOUSE- please see our other ad in our profile &/or inquire for details. ** Just ask for dates over 3 months from now. *Tax collected by Airbnb.
Please see the “Tranquility on a Lake” ad in our profile (https://abnb.me/ml29UFrIn4) for the space details. Essentially, due to changes by local government, our Tiny Cottage is being replaced by the mama Cottage, which is our main house, right next to our guesthouse. *Ironing board & IRON available on request. *Charcoal BBQ Grill for outdoor use, as is the fire pit area (when condition allow for fires). Please ask about wood or let us know if you need BBQ TOOLS. It is LESS THAN A MINUTE OFF HIGHWAY 4/Rice Lake Rd, across from Boondocks Saloon & Grill (& off-sale liquor) - which also has a summer “drive-inn” with ICE CREAM & quick foods. Just over the bridge to the north is another restaurant Island Lake Inn. It would be about a 5 min WALK to Boondocks, about 10 MORE minutes walk to ILI. 6 min drive south is another General Store (Gnesen Convenience) with GAS, GROCERIES, made to order TAKE-OUT food (Nanay’s Kitchen), and LIQUOR. 11 min south (on the drive up) is a KwikTrip Gas/Convenience also. **** Please note: As we are directly on the water, the road is much higher in elevation, and there MANY STEPS down to the guesthouse. There is also a small/narrow gravel “DRIVEWAY” DOWN directly to it, which some guests have chosen to use (WHEN THERE IS NO SNOW). We do ask that you walk it first to assess your comfort level with driving your vehicle down.
Our larger neighborhood area is mostly year-round residents. But on our bay some are seasonal, and so likely will only be seen outside in the summer. There is a beautiful & clean free public sand beach and picnic area just across the lake, about 2-3 min away by car. We are less than a minute off the main road, and across from a restaurant/bar/off-sale liquor. There is another bar/restaurant about one minute up the road from there. It’s about a 5 min WALK to the nearest restaurant. 2 minutes north is the Boulder Lake Cross Country Ski Trail system east parking lot access, and same to state snowmobile trail system - both of which could be used for summer hiking or biking. **Boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking, Agate hunting, 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, & ice fishing can all be done right out the door, and State snowmobile trails and Cross-Country ski trails are right nearby as well (seasons-permitting of course). We don’t provide equipment other than our paddleboat or floating island oasis pad.
  • The house was much better than I thought it would be. The view was amazing, and it just felt like home the entire time we were there. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Ange was very helpful host. Very responsive and and super nice. When we got snowed in after Duluth got pummeled with 19 inches, her husband and son came up and shoveled us out. Great hosts!

    Kyndell2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such a peaceful place looking over the lake and beautiful skies not too far from Duluth. Had a great time and Ange was quick to respond and supplied a clean beautiful home to stay in with my friend and I

    Johnny2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The TTC is a pleasurable, petit, pretty home-away-from-home. Ange has thought of all the hospitality touches, with just the right amount of luxury. This is where my husband and I go for beautiful views and to spend some needed quiet time. The kitchen has everything!

    Molly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Ange’s place was cozy, clean, and beautiful! It was the perfect stay for a tranquil retreat on the lake in the woods. Ange was so thoughtful in the details of the cottage, and the bed was comfortable and room so cozy! It was also only about a 20 minute drive to town which went by quickly! It was very easy to find. Will definitely look at staying here in the future. Thank you Ange!

    Angela2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect place to retreat to after spending time in Duluth and the surrounding areas. The space was clean, cozy, simple, just what my wife and I were looking for. Everything in the space was well labeled, which was helpful. Ange and Erich were quick to respond with any questions and very hospitable. We would definitely stay here again!

    Nick2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing. It was super clean. They gave us clear communication on their space. They responded immediately with any questions we had, and to make sure we had settled in easily enough. The view was outstanding. They gave us so many suggestions, and a bottle of local syrup. I hope we have the opportunity to come here again. Ange was such a wonderful host, and I’m so glad we were able to stay here.

    Cara2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This space is so cute and cozy. It’s perfect to come back to at the end of the day exploring or staying in and watching movies! Ange is a great host and makes you feel so welcome!

  • Spot on with food. Brosted chicken!

    Catlin2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The best glamping! Rustic and relaxing but with modern amenities like DirecTV, wifi, sauna and hot shower. The outhouse was well lit at nighttime. My husband and I traveled with our dog and we all had the best time! Keith & Sara are very nice and are great communicators. We felt really safe and comfortable and are looking forward to our next visit!

    Natalie2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We were really happy with how nice and easy Keith and Sara made our weekend. A lovely stay!

    Rebecca2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Warm and hospitable, this quaint cabin along the lake is a delight. Our hosts were amazingly friendly, and we will definitely be making reservations in the future to stay there again.

    Brian2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely weekend at Kieth's bunkhouse. It was very cozy and had what I needed for my short trip. Keith met me upon arrival and gave me some great tips about the area which brought me to a wonderfully quaint bar/restaurant right up the street. There were also many more area suggestions in a booklet in the bunkhouse. Although it was quite cold and snowy, the accommodations were very warm.

    Autumn2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and hosts, would definitely stay again!

    Brad2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had booked this place for my parents. Keith was so understanding and in communication with me as well. This is my mothers review: We were looking for a quiet, relaxing place and we found it in the bunkhouse! Our favorite part was sitting in the screened in porch and looking at the lake. Definitely would go back again. Thanks Keith and Sarah!

Tucked away on 2.5 acres in the middle of Duluth, this one-bedroom cottage has breath-taking panoramic views of Lake Superior, the Aerial Lift bridge and the St. Louis River. With the large property and surrounding trees, the home feels secluded but has wonderful access to hiking and biking trails, parks, beaches and all that downtown Duluth and Canal Park have to offer. License PL 17-099
This property includes two dwellings and guests are welcome to reserve both or just the main home. The main home is a single-level home with an open floor plan and everything you need for a fun and relaxing stay for up to four people. The bedroom has a full-size bed and the living room has a new, very comfortable queen-size sleeper sofa. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, full bathroom and a washer/dryer. The second dwelling is available as an add-on for groups larger than four or for groups who would simply like a bit more space or privacy. This second cabin is a cute little A-frame about 75 yards away from the main home. It has a double bed in the loft and a double futon down below. The loft is accessed via ladder and so it not suitable for small children or guests with limited mobility. The A-frame is fully wired with electricity and has a ceiling fan, coffee pot, fridge, etc but no running water, just a composting toilet and a 2.5 gallon water dispenser. Adding the A-frame to your booking is an extra $100 a night. Please inquire at the time of booking if you would like to reserve both spaces. Please note that if you choose to only book the main home, we will NOT allow another group to book the A-frame during your stay. Ben, the property owner, may be in the A-frame at times to work on projects when it isn’t occupied by guests. We will notify you in advance if we need to be on the property or in the A-frame.
The unique neighborhood provides complete privacy, tucked in a small wooded area above scenic Skyline Parkway. Enjoy the seclusion while being just a few blocks from downtown and Canal Park!
  • The view alone is worth the trip! Highly recommended for a weekend up on the north shore.

    David2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little oasis at the top of the hill with great views and all you need for a cozy retreat. We hope to stay there again!

    Meg2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I loved this space. It was the perfect spot for my solo get away, but I could see it work equally well as a launching pad for all your Duluth and North Shore adventures. The views of Lake Superior were stunning. I don't think I'd ever tire of seeing the sun come up over the lake. The roads were slushy coming in and Emily and Ben quickly sent an alternative route to make the traveling to their Airbnb easier. Highly recommended.

    Perrin2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Emily's place was perfect! We didn't want to leave! Such a cute space with everything we needed for a relaxing get away. The views are stunning. This was an amazing place to spend some time while exploring Duluth. Thanks for the coffee and thoughtful touches! Highly recommend.

    Jess2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy cabin far exceeded our expectations for a girls get away trip in Duluth. Very close to the city but far enough away for peace and quiet. The space itself is lovely - well decorated, clean, and well stocked. We can’t wait to stay again in the summer months.

    Alexandria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Ben and Emily’s place is so perfect! It was quiet, clean, cozy, and had a spectacular view. They were very communicative and gave us simple instructions for check in and check out. I can’t think of a better place to spend a couple of days recharging in Duluth!

    Woody2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at the cottage and hope to be back soon! The view was beautiful and location couldn’t have been better. The cottage felt secluded but was only a 9 minute drive from downtown and Canal Park and only 5 minutes from a grocery store. The space was cozy and we loved having full use of the kitchen and a washer and dryer. The owners were also very responsive whenever we needed anything.

    Kelsey2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Super cozy! The view is as good as it looks in the pictures. Sunrise right over the lake. Lovely little gas fireplace. Nice amenities. And so close to town, while feeling tucked away on the hilltop. You’ll love this place.

Be a part of nature and stay at a house among the trees. A unique place to unwind or recharge, or a home base to explore the many activities of Lake Superior's north shore.
The ReTreet House was completed in the spring of 2019! It is a well insulated and heated two story house built among the many white cedar trees on 30 acres of woods. The first level is a very comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed and large window overlooking the surrounding woods. The second level features a tree top view of the white cedar forest with a peek of Lake Superior. There is a full size sleeper sofa, kitchenette area with microwave, fridge, toaster oven, coffee pot, tea pot and a counter height table and chairs. A t.v. with Roku is mounted in the corner and wi-fi high speed internet is provided. There is no indoor plumbing, but a cold and hot water dispenser is available. Also, just steps away from the dwelling is a cute, clean, heated outhouse for your comfort.
The thirty acres we live in is heavily wooded, quiet and very private. Neighbors are not visible from the ReTreet House dwelling.
  • This is such a lovely spot. Private and cozy. Amazing waking up to the treeline views. Minutes from Lake Superior and it's ouftfitted with all you need! David and Shari were so responsive and accomodating. Highly recommend!

  • The apartment is very clean, easy to access, and conveniently located to all Duluth's hot spots! We liked that it was surrounded by nature instead of backed up to other houses (even if we visited in the winter and didn't make use of the backyard). Very cozy and comfortable! Danny and Angie were incredibly responsive to questions. Highly recommend!

    Heather2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with great location. The backyard is beautiful. The kitchen is great with all the pots/pans etc for cooking. I’ll definitely stay again!

    Kathryn2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay and we would/will probably look to book again. Unit is very clean, communication was great with quick response to any questions. The location is convenient, very close to UMD and CSS as well as downtown Duluth. Check in was convenient with no problems and value was high at about ½ the cost of a hotel room. No problem giving out a 5 star here!

    Jay2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with nice amenities, just as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and even got to see a small of group of deer out back by the creek. Would stay again.

    Daniel2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific hosts. Angie is on top of her game and her communication is wonderful. The neighbor's snowblowing skills keep access open, even in early morning. This place is spotless and the amenities are top drawer, including wireless internet.

    Howard2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space. It's like being in your own little apartment. They had everything that we need to have a quiet weekend away from home.

    Katie2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication, clean and well stocked space, an ideal getaway spot to stay in Duluth.

    Jenny2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful private suite. I absolutely do not understand why someone would stay in a hotel. There were awesome touches that helped with our toddler. Nothing dangerous, toys, sound machines, and a pack and play if we had needed one. I actually appreciated that the TV was small and just had local channels. Nice to take a break from Netflix. The kitchen was well stocked with nice cookware. Loved the parking spot and very private entrance. Fast communication, really nice hosts. Quick drive to downtown. Lots of food and necessities nearby. Hope to be back!

  • I came to stay at this location with my husband and a couple friends for a weekend in Duluth, and it was incredible! The space was both unique and inviting, and it was sparkling clean. The small touches like extra comfy sheets and chairs, a fully-stocked coffee caddy, and beautiful artwork made this experience even better than we could have imagined. We were also really close to all of the local attractions (both well-known and hole-in-the-wall places), which was super convenient! The host was also incredibly hospitable and was always quick to respond when I reached out to her.

    Courtney2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for having us over the weekend. Everything is super clean and thoughtful. Would love to come back in the future. (special thanks for the breakfast bars / oat meals and coffee machine, edible water comes out right at the sink, really feel like being hosted well!)

    Sijiu2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful space for our family! We played card games and made art projects in a lovely, friendly and well-lit space. The kitchen and living area is very conducive to group engagement and comfort!. There is a tasty mom and son café about a block down the road called Billings! All good stuff! Yum!!

    Jen2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at this house several times because it is very clean, dog friendly, convenient and Trisha has great communication. She was very accommodating when we contemplated coming a day early. There are wonderful amenities: oatmeal, tea, coffee or energy bars for breakfast. If you forget your toothbrush/toothpaste, shampoo, or conditioner, no worries, Trisha has that covered too. We will be back for our annual visit to the area.

  • This place was absolutely delightful! It had the cozy feel of an individual Airbnb room yet cleanliness that even exceeds what I typically experience at a chain hotel. It is in a prime location to access attractions in both Wisconsin and Minnesota with plenty of local restaurants, attractions, and shopping (local and chain) all very close by. The location feels safe and the nearby downtown area is great for walking in the warmer months. The price (when I visited) was also very competitive and I feel I got more than my money's worth, as it exceeded my expectations.

  • Heather and Randy's AirBnB worked out perfectly for my needs as I was traveling through Duluth on a work trip. It is near the airport and the business area of Duluth, so the location was perfect. She was great with communication and check in was very easy. I had traveled long and it was so nice to land in a warm, safe place with their kitties, Twix and Butterfinger, to greet me. Their cats are not intrusive, so if you aren't a cat lover like me, you can avoid them easily. They only responded to me because I engaged them and then were very friendly with me. My room and bed was comfortable and cozy. I got to meet Heather in the morning and we chatted for a bit, which was very enjoyable. :) Thank you so much for hosting me, Heather & Randy! I hope to see you again sometime.

Sorry, due to allergies, we do not accept cats. **PLEASE NOTE** Starting in the middle of January the city of Duluth will be having thousands of trucks of stone delivered to the gravel beach directly behind Endion station. They will be used in the shoreline reconstruction project along Canal Park shoreline starting in early spring. This will be between the hours of 9:00am and 7:00pm. We see this as a great opportunity to be one of the first to witness the incredible new Canal Park Shoreline! Please keep this in mind when booking. All parking spots in the lot are available to guests, and free during the winter.
Endion Station Inn is located right on the lake walk, in the heart of Canal Park. You will find an abundance of local shops, breweries and restaurants all within walking distance! We encourage walking, biking and enjoying the close hiking trails located towards the end of Park Point.
  • A great location if you have events or business over the DECC to attend. You can walk to the DECC or most places in Canal Park in less than 10min. The room was very cozy with high ceilings and was kept very clean. The large barrel sauna is a great amenity and Nescafe machine was a nice perk, a much better cup of coffee than Keurig IMHO.

  • This is a must stay place for Duluth. We loved the quick access to everything we needed and wanted to do! The room was absolutely adorable and sooooo fun! High ceilings and Antique Beer memorabilia scatter through out the room was a perfect touch given Duluth and allll the local brewery’s around. Its wonderful now and it’s going to be even better when all the shore restoration is complete, as they have the boardwalk pulled till the project is complete. We still got out and walked the shoreline. Rianne was quick to respond when we had questions. Check in was easy. Parking was a bit tricky at first but we got it all figured out. Rianne provide a binder with info on the room and local things in town. Thanks again for having us!!

  • This is a truly beautiful and stylish space. It’s seconds away from the beach at Canal Park, and the convenience is amazing! I loved the amenities — the sauna was awesome and the Nespresso machine was a dream. Would totally come back again!

    Amanda2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Clean space, could hear another room through the vents which was weird, but would stay again!

    Rj2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect size, clean and the outside sauna was a great touch! You are right on the lake and have a great view. Location is perfect— close to restaurants, pubs, etc... lots of options right around the corner. Rianne was very responsive right off the bat and throughout my stay.

    Jillian2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Host was super attentive and very responsive. Very clean and cute room. Sauna was the best part! If you have never been to Duluth, the location is awesome, perfect view of the lake.

The Hotel Pikku was created to give visitors of Duluth a place to stay that reflects all the things we love about our city. A three suite hotel in the heart of the Lincoln Park Craft District that values keeping things small and beautiful. For people who want to stay in a place that’s of a place.
Suite Two has a view of both of the Peter Witrak mobiles that are on display in our atriums which provide a gentle diffuse light throughout the space. The living room has a vintage couch and features art by Patricia Canelake as well as a coffee service and a mini fridge. The bedroom has a wildly comfortable king bed flanked with brass side tables and small reading lamps, a wall mounted flat screen TV with Netflix and blackout shades. Simple. Perfect. The bathroom has a fully tiled walk in shower, ample towels and cedar + citrus hair and body wash.
Walk a block or so in any direction from the hotel and you’ll find some of Duluth’s best restaurants and breweries. There is, of course, the beautiful new Bent Paddle Tap room where you can grab a beer or some Duluth Kombucha and listen to weekly live music. Also not to be missed are Ursa Minor Brewery (wood fired pizza!) Duluth Cider and Wild State Cider. For lunch and dinner our current favorites are the OMC Smokehouse or Corktown Deli & Brews. Next door is the Dovetail Cafe which has great coffee as well as breakfast and lunch options, beer and wine. For breakfast, be sure check out the Duluth Grill or Johnson’s Bakery (doughnuts!). And any time of day seems appropriate to visit Love Creamery which has a constant rotation of innovative house made ice cream. Am I fixating too much on food? That tends to happen. But let’s move on! We are located right above the Hemlocks Leatherworks studio and shop and next door to the Duluth Folk School so if you are looking to take a class while you are in Duluth we are the perfect place to stay. Across the street you can visit Duluth Pottery which showcases a beautiful array of ceramics and often has local painters works on display. If you want to get outdoors, we are about a mile from the Superior Hiking Trail or Lincoln Park. As well as entrances to the Duluth Traverse mountain biking trail.
  • Lovely oasis among all the attractions of Lincoln Park! Excellent location, beautiful room and excellent responsiveness from the host!

    David2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved our stay here!! It was super clean and beautiful decorated, with lovely personal touches! I wish we could have stayed longer. And Chelsy was such a great host! Always responsive and helpful and made the check-in instructions super clear! If you need a cozy place to stay near Duluth airport, this is it!

    Kelsey2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great space to relax and unwind in. I especially appreciated the Chemex coffee set up 😍. I would stay here again, only in a suite with a kitchen.

    Cecelia2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • Chelsy’s place is in an awesome location! Close to breweries, cideries and good food. The place was so cute and very clean. Love the style. The walls were a little thin - you could hear people in the hallway but we didn’t find this particularly disruptive, makes sense in an older building. Would definitely stay here again.

    Elaine 2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish space in a great neighborhood. Bed and pillows were very soft and comfortable. We were walking distance from many great places to eat and drink. A great choice to make while looking for a place to stay in Duluth.

    Maria2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Better than the pictures (if that is even possible)! Hotel Pikku is a gem in the city. Definitely stay here if you get the chance! Such lovely details, impeccably clean and can’t beat the location—just wish we could’ve stayed longer!!

    Caitlin2020-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the space! So cute! Very stylish details. This is now where I hope to stay every time I’m in Duluth. ❤️

    Taryn2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice room in a convenient location in Duluth! Had great view of the hillside. Plenty of things to do, eat, and drink in the area. Would definitely stay again!

  • Four adults had a lovely stay near Duluth with easy access to downtown, the lake, hiking and sweet little spots in Superior.

  • Nevin was an excellent communicator and usually had a response to me within 15 min. The place was clean and a bonus was having a washer and dryer to do laundry prior to check out so I didn’t have to go when I got home.

  • Nevin is excellent with communication. The location is great for the apartment. We enjoyed the space and had a wonderful stay!

    Peter2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Nevin's place is awesome, hands down! The place made me quite comfortable, and the access features made me feel safe. Communication with Nevin was like chatting with a close friend, very responsive and quick. I got some tips on local places to go and even a discount at one of them!

    Ron2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place was fantastic. It is a gorgeous remodel of an historic building. It is well decorated, well appointed. At the end of the day, the quality of a location really comes down to the communication, and the communication could not have been better. Nevin is amazing, and was exceptionally compassionate when our plans changed, and we ended up leaving late at night, driving through the night to avoid a storm. She didn't have to wish us well, or go out of her way to wish is safe travels, but she did. I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for an enchanting getaway, getting lost in the twinkling lights of Duluth, or desire to look over the majestic lake Superior, this loft is for you. Walking distance from Chester park and a few local hiking spots. Close to other Duluth "must see's" such as Hawks ridge, downtown (5-7 min drive) , the port, and even Point Park. This centrally located BnB is perfect for any Duluth adventure you could want. Book today! (And is pet friendly-see below details)
What makes our space unique: This is a quaint 1920's home. The space has been updated but keeps its old home charm. There are unique points of furniture such as our lake superior driftwood coffee table, propagated (grown from a piece of an adult plant) succulents, and a variety of antiques. The biggest drawback of our space is the slanted ceilings. The middle tallest part of the ceiling is 6' 1". I do not want to discourage any of our taller humans from experiencing this cozy space, but would not feel right about not giving any notice! I wish I could make the ceilings higher-however- it has been described as "cozy, quaint, and comfortable". What you have in your Airbnb Loft: -water boiler -toaster oven -electric cooking pan -mini-fridge -6 gallons fresh water (Duluth water is the tastiest water ever!! no lie.) -plates/cups/utensils -bowl with dish soap and sponge (if desired to wash dishes in bnb) -double/full size bed -space heater -ironing board (in closet in living space) -iron (in closet in living space) -bath towels and washcloths -extra blankets (in the black cabinet-not pictured) -TV with built in DVD player (in closet in bedroom) -access to wifi -access to welcome book. You will have a key-locked door at the bottom of the stairs (for peace of mind if you desire to lock up your belongings while you are away) and your bedroom will have a separate lock to it (from the inside). Parking is readily available (usually), free, and on the street. (Will just need to park on same side of street as the other cars- since here in Duluth we have wonky parking rules for snow removal) What is shared: - "the worlds tiniest bathroom" - main kitchen (if you prefer to your private kitchenette) - main living space - dining room -main entrance This is a pet friendly Airbnb. If you are looking to bring your beloved furry friend please see below for pet guest house rules. Side note: We have two lovely pets that are not allowed into the Airbnb space. If you have allergies, the space is cleaned very well between guests and should not be an issue (if you are concerned about the space being hypoallergenic please contact the host to let us know what can make the space a better accommodation for you).
Beautiful residential neighborhood. Hilltop with view of lake superior. Chester park is a 10 minute walk and there are other local trails 5 minute walk from the house. Less than a mile from the College of Saint Scholastica main campus. 10 minute drive from downtown Duluth.
  • Very small but absolutely adorable! Im 5' 7'' and it was pretty cramped so I'm sure my 6 ft partner had an interesting time lol. Pets are very friendly and cute as well 🐶🐱

    Racheal2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was short, as I basically just slept overnight and left in the morning shortly after waking, just one night. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and it was evident they wanted me to feel at home, which I appreciated very much. The listing's description is quite accurate, no surprises from my perspective. The private room is the entire upstairs area, which really feels like two separate rooms - one with the bed and one with the kitchenette. The stairs are certainly steep, which means each step is short so only the front portion of your foot touches the step, unless you navigate the steps with your feet sideways. And the ceiling is certainly low as described. I'm 5'11" and I mostly moved around crouched, kind of felt like I was in a fort. These things are mentioned in the listing, just providing my experience. I would definitely visit again. :)

  • This apartment was very nice. It was clean and personable; a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. There was more noise than I expected; the upstairs people had a dog and I could hear him running around. Still, an excellent place to stay.

    Tessa2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This little basement apartment is new, in a great location and pretty private from the rest of the house. You have a private door to get in this house which was nice. The towels were fluffy, the style of the place was very modern and overall was a great place to stay in Duluth!

  • Our stay here was fantastic! The property was actually much larger than it even appeared in the pictures and the price was great. Kurt and Sarah were incredibly responsive and hospitable, and were very forgiving when we were a little late on check out. The property was very clean, well equipped, and incredibly comfortable. They even left us some treats to enjoy, which was much appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again in the future and recommend it to others! Thanks for the great experience!

  • This apartment was SO cute and was by far the best Airbnb we've stayed in while visiting Duluth. It was private, clean, cozy, and included thoughtful touches and amenities.

    Sara2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy lower level studio apartment that is accessed through a shared entry. The space has an insanely comfortable bed plus lots of thoughtful touches. We didn’t actually do any cooking but it would have been easy in this large, functional kitchenette. The bathroom was clean and inviting. The hosts were responsive and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

    Cassandra2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect location with unbelievable views of sunrise, the lake, and canal park. It was ideal for our small family. Airbnb is in close proximity to downtown and easy access to local amenities (grocery, restaurants, coffee, and fuel). It was well equipped for stay at home cooking and dining — even included plates and cups for our small children. Our toddlers loved the available toys and games. Beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Overall, the home was clean, quaint, and had everything we needed to enjoy our trip to Duluth. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future visits. Thank you!

  • We loved staying at the North Coast vacation rental. The location is perfect with a short walkway out to the beach or into Canal Park and the Lakewalk. The living space and bedrooms are very generous in size with ample seating and king size beds in both bedrooms, not common in our experiences. There were just three people in our group and I can imagine that the space would easily accommodate more. Rianne responded quickly to our questions and also took the time to check that we were having an enjoyable experience. We would book this vacation rental again.

    Mary Kay 2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic space for an adult family of four. We were able to cook great meals and enjoy our time together! The couches were so comfortable even for very tall people. The beds were great! I took multiple walks on the beach which was just over the small hill in the back yard. Not even a mile away from all the goings-on in Duluth. You could be sitting watching the Gophers win a bowl game at Grandmas and come home in fifteen minutes no problem on the point. This is a really nice space! Thank you Rianne!

    Laura2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful space and host! Would love to return. Rianne was quick to communicate and very accommodating of our timing.

    Genevieve2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • We very much enjoyed our time at the house. Fun adventures just over the hill treasure hunting along the shore, weather was beautiful for December. The living area setup was awesome, maximizing the simple footprint with an open space and lots of seating. Two bedrooms, each with a king size bed was an added bonus. Our family of 5, including 3 boys ages 2, 3, and 4, were comfortable without having to worry about them breaking something. Conveniently located to Canal Park establishments, Bentleyville, and the Great Lakes Aquarium. It was an ideal weekend away from the hustle & bustle of Minneapolis.

  • The place was beautiful and actually better than advertised, I thought. The tall ceilings with huge windows were great for natural light and the place had all the little things that many hosts don't leave you but makes life that little bit easier (like coffee filters, vegetable oil for cooking, or detergent in case you need to do a quick load of laundry). It was all-in-all wonderful.

  • This is a cute, cozy apartment that's a stone's throw away from Canal Park in Duluth. The place was extremely clean, and Maria was very easy to get in contact with. There was also a handy binder left in the apartment so we could see all the restaurants/events happening around us. I would absolutely stay here again.

  • A great 1 BR apt. well located convenient to both Superior & Duluth. Clean and well appointed with full kitchen well supplied, comfortable couch in living/TV room, comfortable bed, great shower, off street parking. Host was responsive to our requests. We appreciated frequent snow removal as we were there during snow storm

  • Great host! Great location for my needs. Perfectly appointed place!

    John2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cute, cozy, nice deck, nice cooking supplies. The thermostat is locked so just be prepared for that.

    Rosalie2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The crazy weather conditions that Minnesota throws at us made it impossible to drive so we never actually made it to Maria‘s place. I communicated with her throughout the morning and she was gracious and patient with our situation. When we had to cancel there were no questions asked and we were refunded. A great end to a frustrating situation. I will definitely remember about this place for the next time I go up to the Duluth area.

  • Such a great cozy space for 2 people! We were in the area to see Bentleyville and it was the perfect distance to Duluth! Such a cute little town and the apartment was very clean! We definitely hope to be back!

You’ll love my place because of the high ceilings and the best view in town. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. One mile from downtown Duluth One bedroom, extra guests would be using air mattress
    Clean with green products
    Quiet safe neighborhood
  • Tee was a great host. The house was clean and organized. She was always very responsive to your questions. The house itself was beautiful and has the most amazing view you can find anywhere in Duluth. I would definitely recommend Tee as a host to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Duluth.

  • This lovely place has unmatched views of one of the most beautiful settings in America, the Duluth waterfront.

  • Fantastic place to stay! Highly recommend!

    Carly2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place 110% worth the price. The views 180 degree views of Lake Superior easily made this of the most incredible Airbnb’s I’ve ever stayed in. My fiancé and I were in town for a wedding and immediately booked his place when we saw the listing. It’s a little pricier per night than hotels but totally worth it. The pictures do not do this view justice. Watching the sunrise on that deck was such an incredible experience. On top of the views, it’s close to the main part of town and is so peaceful and quiet. Tee is an incredible host and was very responsive and even called us to make sure we were settled in ok. If your staying in Duluth, you should definitely book this place to take in that incredible view!

  • Expect a sparkling clean and homey environment. Everything about this place makes you feel like you're in a home away from home.

    Joe2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is outstanding! Not only is the house very well kept and cute on the inside the views you get from both the bedroom and living/dining rooms are breathtaking! Staying "On Top" of Duluth was absolutely amazing!

Located in the heart of Canal Park, one of Duluths' most vibrant neighborhoods. Steps away from Lake Superior and The Duluth lakewalk, where you will find fantastic restaurants, bars, boutiques, coffee shops, art galleries, and so much more. Room 3 is a cozy room with a queen-sized bed, a small office desk, and a coffee bar.
Luxury suites with a community sauna, a large deck with a fire pit (seasonal) and five rooms available for rent. Our unique building was first a passenger depot and train station. Tied to the historic brewpub, Fitger's Brewhouse, Endion Station Inn will provide vouchers to local craft beer during your stay on the shores of the largest freshwater lake in the world. Spend a day on the water and experience the mighty Lake Superior, our personal favorite of the Great Lakes. Local "brew-tique" decor coupled with comfortable furnishings creates a unique, cozy feel in this five bedroom boutique hotel. All rooms are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, TV (with cable), a Nespresso machine for slow mornings, clothes iron, hair dryer, private bathrooms with large showers, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Each room also comes with extra warm blankets for those ultra-cold northern nights. Dog lovers don't have to leave their best friends at home either--you can bring along your dog in rooms 1, 2 and 3 for an additional charge ($25 per dog).

  • My stay at the Endion Inn was wonderful! Rianne communicated all expectations & information well, which made checking in & out a breeze. The room was stylish, pretty and clean, although I would recommend not booking a ground-level room if you’re a light sleeper. Our room was next to the front door, which meant a lot of loud banging throughout the night - but this could also differ depending on the other guests staying at the time of your stay! In addition to the lovely room, the sauna and community fireplace were great bonus features and the location can’t be beat.

    Meg2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Rianne's Airbnb is absolutely amazing!! I didn't realize that was right down in the Canal area - it's the perfect location. The location is quiet and convenient. The sauna is an amazing added plus!! The rooms are much bigger than they seem - plenty of space for two people! This will definitely be my go-to place to stay in Duluth!

    Samantha2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a great location. It had everything I needed for my stay. Rianne was responsive and kept the place clean and fully stocked of items I needed. 10/10 would book a stay at Endion Station again in the future.

    Ia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great property in a very good location. The sauna is OUTSTANDING! Rianne does a great job with communication. My unit was pristine when I walked in the door.

Terry Flats History: On January 4th, 1909 the property was conveyed by New York Realty Corp (Stratton) to Mary Jane Terry and Margaret Jenkins. Later, the property was conveyed from Margaret to Mary Jane and from Mary Jane to her husband Alfred Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Terry owned several buildings on the block that include 1602-04 Tower Ave, 1610-12 Tower Ave, 1600 Ogden Ave 1702 N 16th Street, two of which are no longer standing. In addition to the apartments they ran the Terry Piano Co. and a furniture store. Their daughter was a piano and vocal teacher in 1935 through sometime in the 40’s. After Alfred passed away in the late 1940’s the property was left to his daughter Mary Elizabeth (Terry) Kardon who sold the building in 1980. The building had fallen into serious disrepair by 2005, the renovation was extensive and took years to complete. Too often these buildings are beyond repair and are destroyed. This one was close to that... I am excited to share the results with you!

  • Great place. Loved it. Great value for the area. Very accommodating. Place has everything you need. If I had a complaint the only one I can come up with is that you can’t control the temperature in the apartment. If you like it warm this is the place for you.
