  • What an amazing tranquil getaway! Cozy, everything we needed, half an hour walk to the pub, short drive to numerous surf beaches, walks and more. Love the place, love the area!

  • Masters Cottage is truly a wonderful home, we felt so comfortable and relaxed there. Stormy nights spent cosy in front of the fire, a stunning view of Benbulben and our fantastic neighbour Martin all helped to make our stay one to remember. Daragh is an exceptional host who was always friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions or needed anything. Thank you for everything Daragh, we hope to return in a warmer season some time in the future.

    Scott2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Master's Cottage is a lovely little bolthole to clear the mind and relax alongside the fields close to Benbulben. North Sligo is an amazing area to explore, as well beyond to Leitrim and Donegal and other close counties.

    Libby2019-11-26T00:00:00Z
  • The rustic cottage is perfect for a secluded trip away - the scenery was amazing on every corner, lots of walks nearby and even though you feel so secluded it is very close to coffee shops, pubs and supermarkets. Would recommend having a car. It was so cosy with the fire on - loved our five days here.

    Siân2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Its remote, but thats perfect for me. I had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Daragh's place and even got an inside tip on beaches to visit. Recommended for those seeking a place to disconnect and get away from the city. Facilities are clearly recently installed and really good - underfloor heating in the bathroom is something I never thought I needed.

    Alistair2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and charming cottage on a quiet rural road. Nice and cozy indoor space with good hot water. We found the SuperValu in Grange was an excellent resource and highly recommend the Armada exhibit in town too. Daragh responded to our questions promptly and was a great host. We highly recommend the Masters Cottage for a quiet retreat in a perfect Irish setting.

    Alice2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Daragh’s cottage in Grange is lovely. The first time I walked to the bus station I thought it was a bit of a long walk, but got accustomed to walk by second day and realized it really isn’t that far. Wouldn’t recommend walking at night though. The cottage is adorable. Daragh responded to the few questions I had quickly and accurately and had plenty of local information at the cottage. The walk to the cottage provides amazing views of Benbulben. If you rent the cottage, relax and enjoy!

Semi-detached flat with well equipped kitchen/dining area and sitting room with wood burning stove. 2 bedrooms upstairs with low ceilings. Very small toilet with separate shower. Peaceful location, 2 miles from WAW, town and shops. Local pub 1 mile.
This is a 2 bedroom semi detached flat (2 double, 2 single beds) with a well equipped kitchen/living area. The bedrooms are upstairs and have low ceilings. Wood burning stove in TV room. Small toilet with separate shower. Very peaceful location, 2 miles from town, shops, garage, etc. Local pub 1 mile. WAW. I'll leave enough fuel for starting the fire and a few hours burning, but if you're using the stove a lot, I'd ask you to bring in your own fuel (available in Grange). A car is essential. There is a bus route through the town of Grange that services Sligo and Donegal but the bus stop is 2 miles from home.
Walk or cycle on quiet roads with amazing scenery in every direction. Horse riding, surfing, kayaking, hill walking, charter fishing, all available locally. Rosses Point links course 10 miles. Several good restaurants within 4 kilometres. 10 minute drive to Lisadell House and Drumcliff.
  • Lovely house in a beautiful location. Lots to do and see close by. Will have to come back in the summer

Lovely, comfortable beds and home, in a quiet location with a beautiful view. Will definitely stay again when we are in Sligo next!

  • Really enjoyed our no hassle return visit to the crow's nest!

    Conor2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's cottage is characterful and quirky place. The space made us fell comfortable. We loved the small details in the living room and kitchen area. All information you need about the place and local area was left in a red holder next to the entrance and the personal touch - hand written reminders how to use e.g. heating/hot water, appliances,... The heating works very well, so we reduced it. So it is a cosy place for colder/more rainy days. Mary is very responsive to messages and makes you feel very welcome. Without doubt we would rebook this place when we visit the Grange area again.

  • Geraldine brought us a nice little basket of breakfast and snack items to keep in the kitchen for when we were hungry and she was great about providing information. We knew we were in town for Valentines Day and she suggested we make reservations at a local restaurant to be sure we could eat. It was great advice and the Yeats Tavern was a good choice for dinner. Make sure to take time to say hello to Ippy the donkey and Molly the dog. We had a great time.

    Brandy2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you Molly and your kindness for your wonderful welcome, it was hard to leave you and thank you Geraldine for your nice messages. The cottage has fulfilled its role. A caress for Molly

  • The place was exactly as advertised. My concern coming in was that being near a bar could be noisy but there wasn't an issue with that and the bar was full when I stopped in for a pint. I parked on the street for free (after 18:30) but there was a parking lot across the street I could have paid to use as well.

Our bathroom was large and sparkling clean. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. The setting of the house is beautiful and right next to a good pub restaurant and the churchyard with Yeats’ grave. We truly enjoyed our stay.

  • Pat and Janet are absolutely lovely - it's our second time staying with them in Sligo (for a local weekend event) and the location is just excellent and their hospitality is beyond compare! Will likely be staying with them again if we're in town in the future! Thank you so much Pat and Janet!!

    Luciana2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was an enjoyable stay. I actually stayed an extra day more than I planned to because I was renting a car and it wasn't available on a Sunday (so I had to wait till that Monday). Pat and Janet's space gave me the respite I needed from a busy vacation schedule. My heart settled as I felt the sacred ground beneath my feet walked by many monks and others on their spiritual path before me, including Yeats. Ben Bulben is a sight to see and they had a superb view of it from their home. The best part was Pat and Janet themselves. They were excellent, delightful hosts. I'll miss their warmth and welcome.

Our place is a self catering apartment with Bedroom Ensuite Bathroom and separate Living Space with a small Kitchen. The sofa converts into a sofa bed. Use of which incurs a charge of €30. This can accommodate an extra guest if necessary. It has a lovely view into Sligo Bay with Rosses Point a two minute drive and Sligo Town less than ten minutes away.
  • Anne’s place is adorable and has an awesome view! It was just what we needed for our night in Sligo! I would absolutely stay at Anne’s place again!

  • Very nice house in a dead end with a beautiful view at breakfast. The room and bathroom were eccentric from the rest, which made the exchange with the hosts less. Only negative: it was significantly colder in this part of the house than in the main rooms.

  • Fiona's home is beautiful, and incredibly close to the water. It's close to Sligo, but feels a million miles away from civilization - a perfect escape.

    Deb2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great little guest wing of the side of the main family home. A charming and comfortable space, it was a perfect pied-a-terre after a long day hiking. Fiona and her husband Paul are lovely hosts, so welcoming and kind. They gave me lots of great ideas for local sights that suited my particular tastes and needs; so thoughtful, with many interesting tips and reflections. The setting was peaceful and beautiful, and could be a great starting point for many of day exploring the area. I hope to go back someday...and highly recommend.

    Susanna2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had the best airbnb stay with Fiona and her husband, so far in our airbnb career. Fantastic place, and the nicest people. Plan to come again in near future. If I should mention all the good details, this will be the longest post on airbnb messageboard, so I will keep it short and say: go to Fiona's place in Sligo - you will never regret it.

    Steffen2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona's home is beautiful! The location is stunning and the irish hospitality is hard to beat. Great recommendations on where to eat and wonderful local knowledge of wee hidden beaches you can expect a great time with Fiona and her family.

    Louise2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and her husband are great hosts. They gave us many tips about the area and its history. The bed was confortable and everything was very clean.

    Aline2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We recommend with closed eyes to go to Fiona and Paul. The reception is simply perfect. Fiona and Paul are very good advice. The view is spectacular. It's a plus if you like animals. In short we have a great time we just regret staying only one night.

  • Very nice and clean room and bathroom. The property is located on a hill just outside the city center. It is about 15 minutes downhill into the city, however, the arrival and uphill with luggage is a bit difficult from the bus station / the Garda station. The traffic connection is unfortunately only moderately with a bus only half an hour during the day drives and at least on weekends from about 18 o'clock not more.

There you will find Voya Seaweed Baths, The Venue Restaurant, Mammy Johnston's Icecream Parlour, Burger Shack, Shells Cafe & The Draft House Restaurant! Another exciting village to explore, beaches, sailing, golfing & restaurants! Sea angling trips also available for pick up from Coney Island pier!
  • Unique location with a beautiful 6km walk/trek around the island. Local hospitality was wonderful and our teenage kids soon forgot about their digital life as they were invited down to the pier every morning and evening to dive into the sea and swim over to the beach. Crossing to the mainland was fun and with a little bit of planning we got to do everything we wanted to and still got home before high tide.

    Barry2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • One of a kind place in a stunning unique environment. Very grateful to have found it, esp since I’m not local and travelled here all the way from London. Elaine and her family are fantastically welcoming, quick at communicating, great at helping. The cottage is very comfortable, beautifully clean, with all the utensils one needs. It’s great not to have TV/Wifi for a change. The crossing to the island from the mainland is quite an experience, but doable, even in a fairly low car, like ours, if you stick to the tide times and the route across the sand, and also to low gear. We walked and swam and enjoyed sunsets and fossil. Very special.

    Katya2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is really nicely done up. The location is amazing. Elaine was always very quick to reply with helpful information and suggestions. Her dad Johnny was very kind and he even had the fire going when I arrived on a wet and windy Sunday. The kitchen has all the necessities and everything was very clean and well presented. The hosts provide plenty of towels, dishcloths etc. The little area out the back proved quite the suntrap. The view from the kitchen over to Rosses Point is beautiful in the morning. I also very much appreciated the peacefulness and tranquility of the cottage and the island in general. It’s like turning the clock back several decades. Driving over on the causeway may not be for the fainthearted but Johnny provides the proper times for the crossing which makes it quite easy. Don’t forget to bring all your food and drink with you, as you can’ buy any on the island. The only reason for not wanting to write a great feedback is to try and keep this place a secret for as long as possible...😉I am definitely hoping to go back.

    Patrice2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is such a special place. We loved every minute.

    Chloe2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine's cottage in Coney Island is truly magic. The cottage is much bigger than the images show, is super clean and has a beautiful garden. The island itself is a dream, we were swimming everyday and exploring all corners of the island. The beds were comfy, it was super clean and the stove was great too for rainy days. A fabulous stay, I would highly recommend.

    Ruth2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • Elaine's place is just great. We had the best time exploring Coney Island with our 2 wee ones. The cows, sheep and 2 beautiful beaches and once you cross the strand, its just 5 mins down the road to Strandhill with the best cafe Shells and close to so many beaches, forest parks, Sligo town etc. Really loved it

    Teal2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a wonderful time on Coney and in the little cottage. It was warm, cosy and clean. Elaine and Johnny were so great. Johnny welcomed us, showed us around and shared any info he had. The tides were a fun challenge and it was so relaxing to know that when the tide was high that you are on the island for the evening/night. We loved it and will most definitely be back. A great house to head to if you want to switch off, enjoy the island life, swim in the sea and watch the tides.

    Cat2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely adored this cottage and island! the cottage is so comfortable and Elaine and her Dad were super hospitable. it is so peaceful and destressing to spend time on he island. we will be back xxx

Your place in the Yeats County is located in a quiet residential area & in easy walking distance of the heart of town and the Yeats Summer School. You have 2 shops & local pub less than a minute walk. It's bright & cosy; modernly furnished with smart TV, wifi & gas heating/water; one double bedroom & a double sofa bed in the living room. Children aged 2 yrs + are most welcome & have a toy box to explore on arrival. There's a back garden & a front entrance gate.
Your place in the Yeats County is on the ground floor, at the front of the property. It has just been renovated for your comfort and has a black, white and red theme. The bedroom has a comfy double bed with built in wardrobes. Across the hallway is your shower room and toilet with high quality aloe vera soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser & toothgel. In the living room you have a double sofa bed, smart TV & a large wall mirror. Just off to the side is your brand new kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob, microwave, etc. Your place is kept cosy by gas heating which also heats the water for you. I hope your stay will be comfortable and happy so please let me know if there's anything more you need.
Mail Coach Road is a friendly, quiet, mainly residential area just beside the main streets of the town itself. Just say 'hello' and you'll soon feel your one of the locals yourself. The Applegreen filling station, Christy's Supermarket and Cahenys Pub are about a minutes walk either side. Within walking distance also you have various religious churches and places of worship, the Theatre, our Tourist Information Office and the Peace Park. A slightly longer walk will take you to Sligo Racecourse with regular meets during the summer months. Beside it is the Sports Complex with a swimming pool, gym, indoor and outdoor sports facilities. The Garavogue river & walks are there to. You can enjoy a trip on Lough Gill and see Yeat's Innisfree Island. Along the rivers edge you'll find the outdoor gym and playgrounds as you follow the path. Remember to bring some food for the ducks and swans but make sure it's health promoting;- for instance, corn, grapes, oats, wheat, lettuce, vegetable trimmings and peas are all much more suitable and safe than dry bread which is known to cause severe health issues for all types of our feathered friends. For us humans, Sligo offers many amazing culinary experiences with its vast array of fine restaurants, cafes and pub food choices. Check out the Sligo Food Trail at https://sligofoodtrail.ie/plan-your-visit/ Watch out also for darts and a good sing song in Cahenys down the Street with its reputation for Sligo's finest example of draught Guinness and a pizza. There's lots to see, do & experience in walking distance from Your Place in the Yeats County.
  • I had the pleasure of being the first guest to stay here. Patricia is very nice and helpful. The place itself is excellent. Warm, all mod cons and in a great location with plenty of free parking. I have already booked to stay here again.

It's a two-bedroom apartment in a gated complex right in the centre of Sligo town. There are a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs, and clubs within easy reach and you're never far from nature with the river fifty metres away.
Sligo town is friendly and easy-going, rain, hail, or shine. The best thing I ever did was move here. Being in the centre of town, it can get a little 'lively' at night. I provide earplugs to help with that.
  • Very clean room and bathroom, the apartment is in plain city center. Eamon went outside to get us in for a warmth welcoming, gave us local tips and even provided earplugs to sleep (very noisy people down the road) !

  • Lovely place to stay. Eamon was a great host. He even carried our bags up to his place. A brilliant location also 👌 Would 100% stay here again 👍👍

  • We are very grateful to Eamon for hospitality, kind attitude and excellent advice! Thanks to him, we have so many wonderful experiences and memories. Eamon is a very interesting person, it was interesting to communicate with him, to learn new things about the country and its inhabitants. An authentic apartment in the very center of Sligo, among the romantic bridges, it is comfortable and interesting. There are many pubs in the area, having come here on weekends or holidays you can plunge headlong into unbridled fun with locals and other tourists. We advise.

A simple one bedroomed cottage in the picturesque village of Rosses Point. Only yards from Co Sligo Golf Club it faces the first fairway, and is within a short walking distance of beautiful beaches, bars, restaurants and village shop. The cottage has one double bedroom, sitting room, kitchen, bathroom with shower/wc. and garden at rear. We live close by and are available to help with queries if needed.
The cottage is one of a crescent built in 1939 and retains its old world charm whilst being in the centre of things.
Rosses Point is Sligo's Maritime Village, it has one of the safest beaches along with a very active Yacht Club and Championship Links Golf Course. The villages history is one of seafaring and smuggling tales coupled with a deep association with WB and the Yeats Family. It is a friendly and laid back place where you are as likely to meet a poet artist, sea captain, doctor, carpenter or accountant.

  • Aiden and Kathleen have possibly the best AirBNB I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a very cool space, near everything in Sligo. I was able to walk to the Yeats landmarks, stroll along the river, ate in some great restaurants, and had easy access to the bus station. Right next door is Earley’s pub with trad music on Thursday nights too!

Owners live on premises but removed from apartment. Moorfield House is a large, old, historic residence and apartment was converted in a section of house and has accommodated many satisfied guests. We are retired teachers and have a great knowledge of the literary (W.B. Yeats is buried in Drumcliffe Graveyard nearby) and historic and tourist connections to our area. Sligo has many wonderful walks which can vary from easy to demanding. Benbulben, the iconic mountain of Sligo, dominates our area and Glencar Waterfall is within a 10 minute drive. Sligo's beaches are beautiful and there are great opportunities to surf and swim safely. Moorfield House is surrounded by a large garden and woods and the whole area is a great place for children. There is a trampoline and lots of space for play. Also there is a barbecue and it is available for guests. We are situated off the N15 on a quiet side road near Oxfield sports centre (5 minute walk , with pitches ,tennis courts, and running track) . Our dog Lily, a Jack Russell, barks at cars coming and going but she loves children !
The Drumcliffe /Lisadell area is renowned for its scenery. Drumcliffe graveyard where the poet WB Yeats is buried is a five minute drive away and is also the location of Drumcliffe Tea House ( great scones, delicious soups) .The beach at Lissadell and Historic Lissadell House is 2 KM away. Sligo town with excellent shops etc is a 15 min drive. There is a lovely restaurant Davis's 1 Km and a restaurant in Carney 10 min walk. Our house is in a totally tranquil area but at the same time within short distances of shops, tourist sites and other amenities. Sligo is a great Centre for music of all types and Friday night’s session in Ellen’s pub (within 15 minutes drive) is not to be missed! Further afield it is possible to explore many lovely places such as Co Donegal, Fermanagh, ( the caves at Florencecourt for example) Leitrim, Mayo, on a day trip from Moorfield. For children and teens The Forest Park at Boyle Co. Roscommon offers a n exciting choice of activities. Thankfully Sligo Co. Council and the Tourism authorities have opened some amazing walking routes many of which are nearby.

  • Second time to stay here and it was as good as the first. Clean and warm, and very reasonably priced. I'd stay again, no problem.

    Diarmuid2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • the house is clean bright and well presented, quiet, you have free access in the house to cook if you need to. hot water, wifi and something I wasn't expected to see was a gas hub as the west doesn't have pipped gas which was a plus as I'm not a fan of cooking on electric hubs. ;o). located 20 min walk from the town centre but there is a bus stop not too far that takes you into town or you can get a taxi, but if you need to see the sights having a car is always the best option as beaches, walks, lakes mountains etc as Sligo has so many beautiful scenic features, that by only getting around in a car can cover unless you are the adventurous type an like to cycle around, but failing that lough gill and the riverside are within a walkable distance and lead into Sligo Town

    Brian2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very good!

    Francis2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie is a very communicative host she is busy PE teacher, so isa in and out, but you get your own key but is very responsive and explains things well. Her rooms are spot on clean tastefully decorated and warm. Good hanging space, good sized bed with fluffy warm doona or duvet, wooden furniture side tables and shelving. The bathroom is compact with a bath with overhead electric shower, just remember to pull the cord the cord to turn on the power then push the button to start the waterflow. The toilet is next to the sink in the same bathroom, all of these are upstairs as was the room I stayed in. The kitchen is well equipped with gas stove and fan forced oven and microwave. I stayed two nights and was very happy with it. The internet had been changed over to a new provider so the airBnB access code was incorrect, but Jackie explained that when I checked in. As I said she is very communicative! Great host!

Both the room and the breakfast Fiona prepared for us were lovely. We enjoyed walking all over Sligo and getting to see many of the local landmarks.

  • Despite the central concept of Airbnb, it’s truly rare to feel like you’re staying at a home away from home, which was our experience here. Fiona and her family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and we loved every minute of our time with them. We stayed at some fantastic places in Ireland, but this is the one we couldn’t stop praising while looking back on our trip. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!
