    - Why stay in a room, when you could have your own little house? - Built in 1860's - Newly refurbished - Sleeps 6 - Super-king master bed - New shower room - New kitchen - Private parking - In Nether Edge - Two cafés just doors away - Two local supermarkets - Local bakery - Tea, real coffee, juice, fresh fruit and cereals for your breakfast - Near universities, city centre and Peak District - Buses: Chatsworth House every 30 mins. Town every 10. - 24/7 Check-in - Superfast wifi - Internet TV
This is is the converted coach-house and wash-house attached to a fine old Victorian home built in the 1860's. There is a separate entrance for your accommodation so you are in your own private space. We are in the heart of Nether Edge close to local shops, cafes and a traditional local pub. There are frequent buses into town and out into the peak district. This is what you get: Upstairs double bedroom Downstairs bed/sitting room (with an extra bed on platform above). Brand new shower room (installed 2018) with unlimited mains pressure hot water. Newly fitted kitchen. Private off street parking (ample space for 2 cars). Secure bicycle storage. Small outside seating area. Cereals/milk/fruit/tea/coffee/juice for breakfast. The Old Coach House is a great space for two or three people. But it can sleep as many as five or six. If you need the extra beds, the living room can become a second bedroom with two double beds (one king-size double sofa bed, plus one small double on raised platform). You'll need to be good friends though. Two of the beds are in the same room. And you will all be sharing the one bathroom and the small kitchen. The first double bedroom is the old hayloft of the coach-house. Very light and spacious with one window overlooking our courtyard and another overlooking the garden. The floor is wooden. The ceilings are sloping and there are old wooden beams and a big desk. But the main feature of the room is the super-king size bed. The frame is hand crafted from timber reclaimed from an old Yorkshire mill. The mattress is pocket sprung. Medium firm. All the bedding is 100 % cotton and there's a cosy duck feather and down quilt. The second double bedroom (family room) is downstairs. It is the old wash-house. A very characterful room with exposed brickwork, an old solid-fuel iron cooking range and high sloping ceiling. If you are only booking for two guests, this room becomes your living room with sofa, armchair and coffee table. If you are a larger party, there will be one king size sofa bed in this room. Then on a raised platform, an additional small double bed. (4ft). Ideal for a single person or two children. This bed is accessed up a steep narrow staircase. (Mind your head!). There's a little seating area outside - just for you! There's a really good wi-fi signal and high speed internet connection. The Old Coach House has its own wi-fi access point to a Virgin Media 200 Mbps fibre-optic broadband connection. There are ethernet sockets in each bedroom if you prefer to have a wired connection. In each bedroom you have a Smart TV with HD Freeview channels and full internet connectivity for BBC iPlayer, All4, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV etc (you need to bring your own account details to log on to subscription services). Downstairs there's a Cambridge Audio wireless loudspeaker so you can play your own music from a phone or tablet. In the kitchen you have an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge freezer, and washer dryer. You get a range of cereal, muesli, juice, fresh fruit, real coffee, teas and milk so that you can make your own breakfast. There are two cafes very close by if you want to go out for breakfast. And there's a local bakery just round the corner selling fresh bread. For meals later in the day there's traditional pub food at the nearby Byron House pub. And a multitude of different eating places and local pubs a short walk away. If you need a travel cot or high chair, do ask, we can usually let you borrow ours. The Old Coach House has it's own independent gas central heating and unlimited hot water. (new boiler fitted 2017). All bedding is 100% cotton. And there are plenty of towels - no need to bring your own. If you are coming by bicycle (or bringing a bicycle) you are welcome to use our spacious locked bike shed. We'd rather you didn't put your bikes in The Old Coach House.
Nether Edge is 1.8 miles from Sheffield city centre and railway station. It is close to both the University of Sheffield and the Sheffield Hallam University and close to the main teaching hospitals. There are frequent buses to town. There are lots of trees round here and big old stone-built houses. There are plenty of cafes and pubs within walking distance. Indeed two cafes and a pub on our very own street. There's a Sainsbury's Local store and an Indian take-away just round the corner. And a Tesco Local and Pizza Hut ten minutes walk away. We are 2 miles away from the Peak District national park. A short drive or local bus journey from Chatsworth House and Bakewell.

  • This was our second stay at Rosie's. We had a great stay again. Its a stylish flat with plenty of room, and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Helpful information about the locality is provided. Lots of interesting places to eat and drink within walking distance. Thank you Rosie.

    Jane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Rosie's apartment for one night as I was attending a concert in the area that evening. But nonetheless I was made to feel very welcome - the apartment is spacious but cosy, plenty of natural light and quiet enough not to really be aware that Rosie and her family live 'upstairs'. The check-in details were simple to follow too. It's a short 10 minute bus ride from Sheffield train station - ideal! AND there are plenty of local amenities and places to eat as well.

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The most amazing host and the most beautiful space. A week of retreat from building works. Rosie couldn’t have made us more welcome. Fabulous!

    Tiffany2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great Airbnb in a fab location for both Ecclesall Road and the city Center. Fit 4 in perfectly, would come again if needing a place to stay in Sheffield

    Sophie2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The flat is spacious and very stylish. We couldn’t fault our experience.

    Aaron2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place, exactly as described, but with plenty of thoughtful extra touches. Rosie suggested some great places for us to eat, was an excellent communicator, and the flat was extremely clean and comfy. We had a double air bed, and a double futon, and extra blankets and storage heaters kept us nice and warm. Would definitely recommend.

Come and stay in our stone-built Victorian house, 10 mins walk from the train station, easy walking distance from the city centre with good connections to the Peak District. Pretty garden. Martha the cat likes visitors!

We live just a few doors down from the beautiful Norfolk Park with gorgeous views across the city. You can walk to the city centre at a 15 minute stroll through a park. Beautifully restored former stable block, in calming Farrow and Ball colours with high end amenities. Please see our reviews https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/VacationRentalReview-g499585-d15087883-The_Stables_Holiday_Cottage-Holmesfield_Derbyshire_England.html
Lovely light and airy open plan kitchen and lounge, leading to two spacious King and Super King bedrooms. Heated stone flooring in communal areas and plush carpeting in both bedrooms. Luxury bathroom with power shower and large bath.
We’re set in the beautiful Peak District a short drive from Chatsworth and Bakewell.
  • A fantastic place to stay, very clean, beautifully presented and everything that you needed was available. The hot tub is a great bonus and the host offered to pick up extra special touches for a special occasion too if wanted (I went away with my partner for her birthday so requested a bottle of wine on ice and chocolates for arrival and everything was accommodated with no hassle). Also in a nice location only 30 minutes drive from the spectacular Peak District and from Shefield city. I think it may be worth making a note of how exactly to find the place when people are given arrival instructions as sat navs and Google Maps take you to the other end of the long country lane when using the post code, only a small issue and this was very easily resolved simply by phoning the host on arrival. Would definately recomend and will look to return again in the future

    Michael2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for our lovely stay at The Stables. We had a really relaxing break and the hot tub was a winner all round! The cottage was clean and we enjoyed that home from home feeling with added touches like the welcome hamper and wine on arrival!

Hot tub made for a lot of relaxing evenings. Would definitely return in summer to make use of the bbq.

  • This was an excellent place for the short stay we had to do a bit of walking & relax before the Christmas festivities!! The standard of the accommodation was exceptional, really well appointed, sumptuous beds & sparklingly clean. The hot tub was an excellent way to start & finish the day, even providing opportunity for star gazing one evening!! The location of The Stables is also really good if you want to be close to the Peaks but have really good pubs, restaurants etc within walking distance or a short drive to a supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay & will look to book again in the future.

  • Fantastic place! This was our second visit and we love it! Great facilities and hosts! Thank you!!!

  • We had a great time at Gill's place. She was very fast to respond up front and her and Steve were great hosts when we were there - very attentive. The barn is gorgeous and has great amenities. The hot tub is an added bonus and the showers are great. The big downstairs bed was one of the comfier I've slept on although Annie didn't find the upstairs on as comfortable unfortunately. Shampoo and conditioner were provided as well as some snacks and breakfast which was a nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked and having sky cinema was much appreciated for a lazy night in. I'd highly recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thanks again both

  • A beautifully designed and well-equipped space right in the heart of a lovely quiet village, only a short drive from the peaks and Sheffield city. Perfect location and friendly hosts who were quick to respond and help with anything we needed. The fire and hot tub made it a perfect winter retreat :-)

    Catherine2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful place with all the amenities you could want in an Airbnb. The barn is very tastefully furnished and feels like a home away from home, we didn’t want to leave!

  • We had a fabulous weekend spent at Gill’s beautiful property - we were warmly welcomed with a lovely hamper and the log burner on! The property was lovely, the beds supremely comfortable (best nights sleep I’ve had in a long time!) and the owners were more than happy to provide recommendations for local pubs, restaurants and walks. Would not hesitate to stay again!

  • What a house! An amazing place near to the station, which was really useful. Comfortable and big beds and a nice shower. Gill came by and gave us some croissants one morning, and has been the perfect host - friendly and easy to communicate with at all times. A very relaxing place to stay in a pretty little town. Would recommend!

    Jo2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. The hosts could not have been more helpful. Highly recommended.

    Nina2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very pleasant, short stay with Gill. The location is hard to beat for Dronfield, close to the train station and in the old center of town. The house is of course beautiful, tastefully decorated - this also applies to the loft. The last small staircase is steep, but short and therefore easy to manage. We have heard nothing of life down in the house. The large shower was a special highlight for us! The mattresses in the larger bedroom were a bit too soft for us, but that's a matter of taste. Overall, we found everything as described in the ad. Communication with Gill went very well, she always answered quickly and was helpful. She and her husband are also pleasant to deal with directly. Recommended accommodation in Dronfield.

    Maria2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Fab stay at Gill’s place. Lovely modern space for 4 adults and a toddler on an overnight stay. Thanks for the hospitality too👍

  • Great location to explore Peak District, perfect accommodation for 2 couples.

    Julien2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a stay not to miss - highly possible that it is the best air Bnb experience that will you will experience. A wonderful period home, thoughtfully finished with personal touches. Gill is warm and deserves the category of super host. Pastries delivered each morning and thoughtful amenities provided. Dronfield is a delightful village , and the 2 nights were not enough. Thank you , we can hardly wait to return- Bakewell is nearby, breathtaking Chatsworth House and genuine country hospitality- not be missed. Thank you.

  • Gill was great at keeping in touch and accommodating my husband and I for our wedding night. The place was gorgeous, with perfect little details to make it super cosy, and the bed was so so comfortable! We felt very welcome and it was a wonderful stay, it was a shame we couldn’t stay longer!!

Everything has been completely renovated and is brand new!!
2 minute walk to Dronfield train station with regular trains into Sheffield and chesterfield 15 minutes drive to Sheffield town Centre 10 minute drive to chesterfield and the beautiful Peak District The town of Dronfield lies midway between Sheffield and Chesterfield, and only 3 miles from the Peak District. The first settlers in this area were probably attracted by the rivers, streams and woodlands. Traditionally, the Anglian settlement started on the site of the long, low, five-bayed building, now divided into several small shops, opposite the Parish Church. The Domesday Book of 1086 says very little about Dronfield, except to confirm its existence with a suggestion that it wasn't very valuable! The Church of St John the Baptist was one of the richest livings in the Hundred of Scarsdale. Other historical buildings include the Green Dragon Inn (1349), once the hall of the chantry priests and the headquarters of the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the barn on High Street with its carved king post roof that may date to the 15th Century. Dronfield benefited from its position on one of the routes from the lead mining and grindstone making areas of the Peak towards the transport network on the rivers to the east. Coal mining was important to the area with pits mentioned as early as the 16th Century. More mines were opened in the 18th Century and 19th Century but no trace of the coal industry remains today. By 1811 steel refiner Samuel Lucas had set up a foundry exploiting his patent for malleable iron and, according to tradition, cannon balls for the Napoleonic Wars were made here. Today, one of the old foundries has been converted into the Forge Shopping Centre. Dronfield has an unusual landmark - the Peel Monument on High Street. Built in 1854 as a tribute to Robert Peel, the monument commemorates his repeal of the Corn Laws in 1846. It is probably the most photographed and sketched feature of the town.
  • Best air bb in the area and I have stayed in most of them over the past 5 years. Excellent and timely communication with host, very reasonably priced. 5 stars

  • Beautiful apartment, great location

    Emma2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Old Bank was an excellent place to stay. The decoration is outstanding with lots of beautiful touches, like all the door handles, light switches and cupboard handles being in rose gold. It made the place feel well thought out and cosy. The bathroom was stunning and clearly brand new, with a rain shower and large sink. It was a top quality bathroom like what you'd find in a 4* hotel. The bed was very comfy with a large fluffy mattress and soft duvet. Lots of amenities in the kitchen and a big table for eating at too. I was a little worried about road noise before arriving, as the apartment is very central, but the double glazing means it isn't an issue at all. Finally, check in and out was seamless, simply using door codes to arrive and access the building and our apartment. The private car park is right next door, so it's all very easy and simple. We will definitely be staying again!

    Nicky2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, cosy place in a nice location. Very clean with great amenities. Only a couple of small things, the place is on a busy through road, although traffic flows well. From 6/7AM the work & morning traffic is very loud. I had to have the windows open as it was hot because the duvet was very thick, too thick for a summers night. This being said, they're minor things from a great apartment.

  • I stayed here a whole month to find a permanent place to live, having just moved to Sheffield. All the key amenities are available here, including a washing machine and tumble dryer, fridge/ freezer, plus a shower and two toilets. There's a lounge area as well to watch TV and a small garden to sit in. The house was always warm and the bed was very comfortable too. The bedroom was very spacious and it included a wardrobe, two bedside tables, and a plant. Tommy, the co-host, will be around and he's really nice - he'll be able to help you if you need anything as well. The house is only 3 minutes' walk to the tram stop on Arbourthorne Road. Choose the purple line 'Cathedral route' to go to the city centre (where the Cathedral is) which is about 10-12 minutes total, or the blue 'Malin Bridge' route that's the same route except it goes further into the city then up to Malin Bridge. Both trams stop at the train station along the way. On weekday mornings they come along about every 10 minutes. The other direction takes you to Herdings Park. Within the area the house is, you'll be near to Norfolk Park if you want to have a nice afternoon stroll plus the house is a short walk away from seeing a lovely panoramic view across the city. Food-wise there's a fish and chip shop about a 5 minute walk from the house which was good quality and quite a good price. There's also a premier convenience store next to the chip shop. Aside from the small 'rumble' from the trams passing by along Arbourthorne Road, it's a quiet area. So whether you stay here a day, a week or a month, this is a great place to settle into, enjoy the local walks, and whizz around the city from. And the price for it all is pretty good!

  • I chose Greg's place mainly because I used to live on Queen Street. I love the neighbourhood very much. It is close to city centre. Many restaurants, bars and supermarkets are around the corner. Greg's place is better than I imagined. There's a bus stop just right in front of the gate. Greg always replied quickly. We had a problem with heater. Greg and his colleague responded our needs quickly and provided a portable heater to us. They are really nice. My family and I enjoyed our stay here!

    • Light, bright entire terraced townhouse in Woodseats. • Free street parking and fast Wi-Fi. • Full Kitchen with dining area, and cosy separate lounge downstairs. • Bedroom and bathroom upstairs. • Self check in/out via key safe. • 1 min walk to bus going directly to city centre. • 5-10 min walk into Woodseats centre with lots of shops and restaurants. • 20 min walk to Abbeydale Road with a selection of great bars and nightlife. • 15 min drive to stunning Peak District National Park.
This house was completely renovated from scratch one year ago, and the interiors designed by myself, a former graphic designer. It is designed to be lovely and bright in the day, but super cosy with mood lighting and comfortable furniture in the evening. The guest bedroom has plenty of space and storage, and there is a sofa bed in the lounge that is smaller than a double but larger than a single. It can hold two people at a push (or two children easily), but it's cosy!

The Milking Parlour is a single storey studio, it is in a quiet enclave composing of a farmhouse, and various renovated farm buildings making up 4 residences. It has a stable door. We are situated about 50m from the main road and bus stops for regular direct buses to Sheffield/Chesterfield .. Dronfield has a train station providing an hourly service direct to London. We are about 1 mile from the Derbyshire countryside, 10miles from Chatsworth House, 12 miles from Bakewell.
As you will see from the photos, you will have a fully equipped bathroom, kitchen, sink, microwave, fridge, plus a mini oven with hob. There aren’t any laundry facilities but I am happy for you to use the Washer/Dryer in the main house. There is a TV and WiFi. The bed is a 4ft 6in double.
Whilst being very close to all amenities and transport choices we are away from the main road in a very peaceful setting.
  • We only got the chance to stay at Sue's place for 2 nights but it was perfect for what we needed. It was very clean and tidy with lots of personal touches. The bed was super comfy as were the armchairs, perfect for relaxing with your feet up. There were plenty of utensils and bowls/plates/saucepans etc for cooking and even books and boardgames to sit down with in the evening. Sue was very friendly and welcoming and gave easy to follow directions. She was also very prompt at replying to any messages we sent. Overall this place, while small, is perfect for a couple or 2 people wanting to stay somewhere close to the peak District and we would highly recommend staying here if you are looking in this area!

    Eve2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • An incredibly cosy spot, I could not recommend highly enough. Thanks Sue

    Shannon2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! Thank you to Sue who is a wonderfully thoughtful host who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. Sue tested out the oven in advance so I could make a pavlova to take to a family lunch and left earl grey and decaf coffee as well as a bottle of wine and some delicious florentine’s. The whole place was spotless, cozy and had so many extra touches; candles, heated electric under blanket on the bed (a real treat!), games a really well equipped kitchen and bathroom. We stayed on the weekend storm Dennis came so unfortunately didn’t get chance to explore much of the local area, but it was a great place to “hunker” down and we felt safe, warm and cozy from the elements. Thank you Sue!

    Anna2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sue’s place. The milking parlour was sparkling clean and had everything you needed and more for a cosy weekend away. There were many thoughtful touches such as biscuits and wine which made it very special place to stay. We hope to return again soon!

    Anna2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot describe how perfect this place is. My boyfriend and I booked it last minute and couldn’t arrive till late. Sue happily accommodated this and showed us around as soon as we arrived. Very welcoming and cosy (Sue had put the fire on beforehand and lit some candles). There were so many little touches which just made it even better as well as all things you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. We were given a bottle of wine and some biscuits. We went on walks around the Peak District that were no more than a 25 minute drive away. We would definitely love to return at some point for many more walks!

    Bekah2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is without a doubt the best Airbnb stay I’ve had in England! The Studio is beautiful and much bigger than expected, the photos don’t do it justice. Everything provided was quality and Sue thought of everything to make this place a home away from home. I mean Everything! We were warm and slept like babies. The location is tucked away from the main road which means complete peace and we spent both nights star watching from the courtyard. Around the corner is the beautiful countryside of Derbyshire. Perfect for a Sunday walk which is exactly what we did. Followed by a Toby Carvery which was 10 minutes away. My perfect kind of weekend. I cannot rate this place high enough and Sue was a wonderful host who made us feel welcome and was very approachable. I would love to stay here again.

    Roxene2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s Milking Barn really is the perfect cosy bolthole. From an extremely comfy bed, to a fake log burner (which actually makes a crackling noise!) this little home away from home has everything you need for a country break. Sue’s also a very communicative host. Heartily recommended!

    Hattie2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very quiet one room plus bathroom space with some interesting features like a light that comes on to warn you, that you are approaching the step up to the bathroom (I have not seen this anywhere else) and a spray to help you sleep by the bed. Sue was a great host and even allowed me to use her washing machine during my stay. Spotless and with a great shower and comfortable bed. Warm enough when the temperature outside went below freezing. A great place to stay if you are in the area.

Our clean and spacious property is a stone's throw from Sheffield city centre and the Peak District National Park. Why not share coffee and cake in the cosy lounge? Dinner in the dining-kitchen? Morning tea in the garden? Feel free to make yourself at home in the shared spaces or retreat to your private room. Rich is looking forward to making your stay in Sheffield as welcoming and enjoyable as possible.
Your cosy single room is the perfect setting for relaxation during your time in Steel City. From your window you can look out across the city and let in the breeze. The comfy bed and duck-down duvet make for perfect hibernation, and the double glazing, central heating, and blackout curtains will keep things toasty and quiet. Travelling with others or after a little extra space? I also list a double room for rent! Why not check if that's available too? Make yourself at home during your stay, and feel free to ask any questions you have. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

2 minute walk to Dronfield train station with regular train to chesterfield and sheffield 15 minute drive to centre of sheffield 10 minute drive to chesterfield and the beautiful Peak District. The town of Dronfield lies midway between Sheffield and Chesterfield, and only 3 miles from the Peak District.

The house is located well for all amenities, restaurants, takeaways, pubs. Fabulous 2 parks in Sheffield. Great transport access. Close to Derbyshire. City centre 3 miles great buses around 15 mins. Quiet area . I do have 5 very small friendly dogs, who also love to welcome guests. Gyms nearby virgin, PureGym. Sheffield has many parks and we are in between 2 beautiful parks to go stroll through. Chatsworth by bus 20 mins. Perfect for anywhere in a calm dog friendly house Checkout is flexible
Friendly, convenient. Single room with Tv great view of Derbyshire. The bed does pull out to make into double or 2 singles but the room is then full. Have managed this for a couple of times. Please ask if required would be £10.00 extra per night for second person
It is a very green place lots of trees and open spaces. 2 wonderful parks within walking distance and only 20 mins into fabulous Derbyshire. Ideal for business . Only downside parking is on the road. But it is a dead end and if you drive to Perigree Road the parking is better and same access to house. City center and university easy access great bus routes. Lots of restaurants Great base for work or pleasure stays
  • Cannot think of any negatives. Good location, clean, comfortable and friendly.

  • The coach house was really cosy and had everything required to make our stay stress free and memorable. Access to the house was easy thanks to clear instructions and parking wasn’t a problem throughout the weekend. Thanks guys for a great stay!

  • We had a great stay here in Sheffield! A beautiful place to stay, very comfortable and homely. Stephen was very responsive, check in was easy, and the Coach House surpassed our expectations. Would really recommend a stay here - we hope to return!

  • Great little place which has everything you need.

    Rachel2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Stephen's place for work and it provided a wonderful two nights sleep for me. The house is cosy, rustic and very homely. It had its own private entrance which allowed me to come and go as I pleased (which was really handy as I arrived very late and left very early in the morning). Stephen was brilliant in communicating and I was really happy with the accommodation. Thank you very much.

  • Very stylish and cosy place!

    Molly2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Really well decorated space with amazing and thoughtful touches: Cafetière and ground coffee, to name two. Great boho vibes.

    Gary2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and cosy place. Had everything we needed. Check in and out was very easy. Steve and his family were very welcoming and helpful. Parking very easy and communication was pretty much instant. About a half an hour walk from the city centre which wasn’t an issue or only a £6-10 taxi. Would definitely recommend staying here if you can.

    Oliver2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a super find and the place is quirky, individual and very homely! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and the hosts are lovely people who couldn’t do any more to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The addition of creative design choices really make this a special stay, and I must say the bed and bedding were scrumptious!

Your new home for a few days is newly refurbished and kept super clean. You'll find the house both spacious and cozy with enough room for you to unpack and enjoy your stay. In the living room there's a t.v. complete with Netflix and Amazon video if you'd like to relax indoors, or you could pull up a chair and enjoy some fresh air in the garden. The kitchen is fully equipped and you're more than welcome to cook and eat downstairs.
Cereal and toast etc will also be provided for you to start your day with breakfast before heading out. And for the evenings, there are bathbombs, oil and candles for you to use if you'd like a relaxing soak in the bath. There's also a printer that you can use if needed.
Norfolk park is literally on the doorstep so it's great for a lovely stroll through all the trees, there's s lovely view of the city and a playground if you have little ones.
  • Amazing value for money. We visiting family and watched the park run at Sheffield castle so perfect location. The property was clean, had some nice extra touches like breakfast included, good books to read and had some shower gel in the bathroom.

Richard is looking forward to making your stay in Sheffield as welcoming and enjoyable as possible.
Your light and spacious double room is the perfect setting for relaxation during your time in Steel City. From your window you can look out across the city and let in the breeze. The comfy bed and duck-down duvet make for perfect hibernation, and the double glazing, central heating, and blackout curtains will keep things toasty and quiet. Travelling as two friends? See if my additional single room is available (also listed on AirBnB). Make yourself at home during your stay, and feel free to ask us any questions you have. Richard is looking forward to meeting you.
The semi-detached brick house is built on a hill just outside the city centre. It is tastefully furnished and modern, having been built only in 2005. Despite its proximity to the city, the estate is quiet and you're never far from green space.
  • Richard made me really feel at home during the 3 months I stayed at his place! The room is exactly as advertised and you can use the entire house (including kitchen and living room) during your stay. Richard is a lovely host, will help you wherever he can and he knows all hidden places in Sheffield and around. I would definitely recommend!

  • Great stay, cosy well thought out room with a really comfortable bed!! Richard was responsive, cats were adorable! No problems-good for a couple of days or longer for work/courses. The house as well as a whole is great clean and modern and we used the kitchen and living room (Richard was occasionally around with an occasional chat but usually out all day with work sometimes weekend). Check in can be confusing (smartphone needed) at first but if you follow all the instructions it’s fine. Just a reminder no lock on bedroom door. 25min walk ish to town downhill-to come back...it’s uphill-but tram stop Is a few mins walk from the house. Premier supermarket store close by for basics. Thanks again, recommended.

    Ben2019-12-01T00:00:00Z

  • Richard was a great host. The e-key works well - but it is important to read the instructions! The house was warm and the bed comfortable. The tram stop is very convenient. I didn't spend much time in Richard's home, but I felt very comfortable and welcome.
