Place was clean and spacious. Location was nice.

Great place to fish with or without a boat.. The boat launch is in walking distance. There is a store and pub all in one just walking distance from the lake house. Very friendly environment.

Our family had a great stay in Cheryl's cottage. The cottage is cute and clean and the location is perfect! The lake, Pizza King and Pub are within walking distance from the cottage. It was very nice that the cottage had A/C, washer/dryer, laundry soap, coffee maker, paper towels, extra pillows and extra blankets for our family. Cheryl and Brad were very easy to work with and made sure we had a comfortable stay in their cottage. We will definitely stay there again.

What an absolute blast we had this past weekend. It was my husbands birthday- so a few of us went up there to celebrate! We grilled, chilled on the water, & ate at a delicious local Pub. Mara is incredible & extremely personable. Quick response if you have any questions! Highly, highly recommend. ❤️

Our family loved the Lake get away at Mara’s. We truly enjoyed our stay. The paddle boats and kayak were especially fun, but so was having a family game night, and just enjoying the backyard patio. Time stops when you’re at the lake. It’s a nice refreshment! Mara was wonderful about communicating, and she has the gift of hospitality.

This is a perfect little lake house getaway. It has everything you need to relax and have fun. The house was very inviting and has all you need for those unexpected rainy days where you have to stay inside. Great fishing, great sandy area for the kids to play and a perfect way to unwind.

It was a delight to wake up and see the view from the bedroom windows each morning, and their place is very clean and up-to-date. I am very picky about the places we stay and this was definitely a 10. Thoroughly enjoyed being there, and the kids enjoyed using the Wi.

Comfortable place to stay, with many extras and lots of fun!

I can't say enough good things about this place. We used it as a gathering place for out-of-towners for the holidays. It was perfect! Homey, with lots of room to spread out and play games. We brought our own but they had so many we didn't need them. The fireplace was an excellent bonus! The kitchen was clean, very well-stocked and organized. Everything is labeled and easy to find. Definitely plan on coming back!

The owners Bob and Linda are great people and even though the weather was not great we had a blast with our boys. They had three docks for them to fish off of and swim. The place was super clean little cabin and perfect place to get away. We will be back!

What a great find! My boyfriend and I wanted to go camping but most official campgrounds were already booked. I stumbled upon this listing randomly and decided to book it. Miranda was incredibly helpful in terms of directions and in letting us have a fire. The bathroom was clean and easy to access. The land itself was beautiful - clear starry skies, fireflies everywhere and tree frogs singing. Truly a great experience.

This is my first camping experience, ground as bed, sky as quilt, sleeping with birds singing but also silent . I also took a short tour in the backyard moods. The pony is so cute. Miranda and her son are very hospitable , and also are good nature protectors. Amazing experience!

The Little Otter Retreat is a cozy, charming cottage with an amazing lake view from the deck. It was very chilly and in the 30s during our visit but the home was warm and comfortable inside. The first floor and main bedroom have lake views that were beyond what we had expected. The home is clean, comfortable and definitely a nice retreat. Fremont is a quaint, quiet town. We especially enjoyed 6Autumns restaurant for great selection of adult beverages and some very nice food (homemade soup flights). We also liked Mad Anthony’s (Coffee stout float...yes, beer and ice cream!) and Briali Winery and would recommend a visit there for the adults in the family. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Great cottage on Little Otter Lake. It was the perfect spot for our college roommate girls weekend. Very clean and well kept. I would definitely go again! The food suggestions were great and we had fun exploring Angola. It rained the whole weekend, but even still we enjoyed visiting with each other and viewing the lake - beautiful!.

This place is amazing, decorated so nice, very clean, hosts were wonderful. This was better than expected. Anything you needed was there. We really really enjoyed our time at Clear Lake. This house is in a great spot of the lake, super quiet (we were there a bit after school was in session). The lake is gorgeous. The house has cute bedrooms and nice newly remodeled bathrooms. The screen porch was highly used and we enjoyed having the firepit on the cooler evenings!

We had a great stay, the house was perfect for my wife & I. PROS: Great communication, Clean, it has everything you need, fantastic location. CONS: Very tight quarters, bathroom is really small. It says it sleeps 7, which it does, but the house is so small, I would only want 4 people at the most. Also, it was the lowest internet speeds I've ever dealt with. We didn't go there for the internet, but it's nice at night when chilling. We couldn't use it at all. I gave it a 5 star because besides the internet, it was perfect for us.

Very cute little house in a beautiful location. We only got to spend one night, but the place easily accommodated my siblings and I while we were in the area for a family wedding. The steep stairs to the upper bedrooms would be tough for the very young or old, but the entire place is well set up for lake-side enjoyment.

This cabin was perfect for us during our time with family in Ohio. It is very peaceful and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Brad and Deb have put a lot of thought into making sure the guests needs are met. Do not skip this one if you are staying in the area.

We loved this location! The Cottage was quaint and comfortable. Brad and Deb provided kayaks which is something my family loves and took full advantage of this added amenity. The weather was great too. Brad and Deb were very pleasant and welcoming.

We didn’t get to spend a lot of time in the house but we definitely noticed how well kept it was and appreciated the mix of updated amenities and historical features. The proximity to the wedding venue was very convenient and met our needs perfectly. The hosts were flexible with our arrival time and proactive with their communication. A beautiful, historic home in a charming midwestern town. First of all, this is a two story home where the upstairs bedrooms are not being rented. What you are getting is the downstairs- the master bedroom, dining room, game room, and the family room (with fold-out sofa), master bath, and kitchen. The last two are both very modern in a newly renovated area of the home, added on to the original structure at some point. The outside of the white house is surrounded by a white picket fence and sits on a corner on the main street of Freemont. The small yard has been landscaped with period-correct plants and flowers, a nice touch. There's an arbor connecting the garage and house and a screened-in porch on the back of the house as well. An adorable ice cream place is just across the street- about 75 feet away- and offers delicious soft serve ice cream cones for $1.50. The pizza place is at the next corner and our pizza was FABULOUS and cost $10. The downtown area is about 2 or 3 blocks of a quiet, clean little town. It's basically Mayberry in 2019. David and Brenda were excellent hosts and communicated well throughout our arrival but gave us space. The kitchen has a nice Keurig machine with lots of coffee choices! Huge, new fridge and a new set of T-Fal pots and pans. You can definitely cook here, it has everything you need. The master bathroom is huge and well-equipped. In the game room- a beautiful room with a poker table- there is a cedar chest with a few historical artifacts the owners are generously sharing. There's a blanket from around 1850 which is in amazing condition! Also a pamphlet detailing the history of this home, originally built by a weaver- thus the blanket. It's very interesting. Make sure to take a peak at the basement timbers, which still have the bark on them from 1845! I had never seen such a thing. The family room has modern, new furniture and a large flat screen TV with a huge selection of BluRay movies and cable stations. It's a comfortable hangout room with a leather recliner. We thought it was a great value and an interesting stay, which is what Air BnB is all about. David and Brenda are great hosts. 5 stars all around!

Very nice place even in the off-season. We appreciated the large and well-stocked kitchen, which included spices along with all the dishes and cookware for a complex meal for 6-8 people. The views were great and the rooms very comfortable. Be aware that three of the six "beds" are mattresses that can go on the floor, but not really close to their storage. This isn't a huge problem but it was a surprise.

Quite (at least in October) peaceful cottage located right on Snow Lake. We really enjoyed the outdoor space in particular including the fire pit. The house was perfect for a girls weekend and conveniently located close to the highway so we didn't have far to drive once we left the highway. We are already talking about doing it again next year!

Just Breathe cottage is spit spot clean, bright and sunny, has a beautiful lake view and has features of the old structure built in an artsy way into the new. We stayed for Hillsdale‘s graduation weekend and although it is a half hour from campus, the drive is scenic.

Spent a relaxing weekend at the Cottage On The Lane with old college friends and we couldn’t get over what a great find the cottage was. I was pleased with the clear and friendly communication I had with the owners even before our trip and really appreciated the welcome treats when we arrived. The owners have updated the cottage with lots of Vintage charm, an eye on comfort and lots of detail. Unlike some rentals (a few dozen over the last 3 years), there were plenty of utensils, glasses and dishes, extra throws for chilly mornings, comfortable furnitures to sit on (not someone’s extra, worn out basement sofa), and even a hair dryer in the bathroom. We especially enjoyed the close proximity to the water and great views. Really glad we rented the cottage and can’t wait to go back!

Absolutely beautiful! Everything was shining clean. The kitchen had everything I could think of for preparing meals and even for storing leftovers. The bedrooms were comfortable and made it easy to relax. This cottage goes to the top of our list as the nicest place we have stayed so far.

Can't say enough about this wonderful home on Snow Lake and its owners. The home is so inviting - from the design, decor, smells, wifi music, board games and lots of toys to enjoy on the lake. We enjoyed an evening cookout and breakfasts on the patio each morning and chilling in the great patio furniture during the day. We enjoyed watching movies and board games in the great room/kitchen. The details they thought of were outstanding...they pretty much thought of just about every possible thing to make our stay perfect. Our only pause in giving it 5-stars is that it may make it harder for us to book in the future. But, you should not hesitate to book it now!

Fantastic experience! The renovation was 'Five-Star' quality! The hosts thought of everything, and were so easy and pleasant to work with. From toiletries to life jackets, there was nothing we couldn't find when needed. It was awesome being able to walk about 30 ft out the patio doors and be at the dock where we were able to keep our boat. Can't wait to stay here again!

Dan’s cottage is a fabulous place to getaway to! The cottage itself is very cute and really puts you in the beach setting! We had a blast visiting the local bar, “The Hangout” (it was my friend’s birthday and the bartenders really made her feel special). We spent most of our time outside on the dock and in the water. The paddle boards were also a really fun way to spend our time. This place is a great way to catch some sun and have a little vacation by the water!

My family had a great time and there was plenty of room. The kids had a good time playing in the water.

Everything is pretty spot on from be listing and Karen is super responsive and helpful. We rented a pontoon boat and docked it at the pier at the house it was great being right on the lake. Lots of room in the house too. We would stay again for sure.

The house was very nice and spacious. They had all the amenities plus some. The only thing I could possibly say that would be a negative is that the water was mucky the farther away you got from the shore. Home was wonderful and the host responded very fast to any questions.

This house was absolutely incredible, very spacious, five bedrooms with four bathrooms, and the master bedroom upstairs has an amazing view of the lake that is fantastic to wake up to. Walk out the back door onto a large deck with a picnic table to eat outdoors and eight individual chairs if you just want to sit back and enjoy the view of the lake. We rented a pontoon boat for the week which allowed us to enjoy the lake even more and stored it on a great boat dock just steps off the back deck. Each floor has a huge family room and a television is on the second floor. Nice touch also is the book that provides all kinds of helpful information of the area and the house. Karen was always quick in her communication if we had any questions. Incredible place that our family had left with special memories and look forward to come back.

This house is a wonderful lake stay. We brought our own boat and the public launch is not far away we kept boat at the dock right behind house for the weekend. The backyard has grass and a beach/sand area our kids played for hours! We had 4 adults and 3 kids on this trip-we had plenty of space. We decided to keep kids in bedrooms downstairs so the grown ups could watch tv late at night upstairs (all the channels!) the views are spectacular and Karen let us use her fire pit which was a hit with everyone. There is a sandbar around corner from house you can reach by boat and we found out there is a food "boat" that comes around noon with burgers, ice cream snacks for sale. So fun! Beautiful, clean lake. Thank you, Karen.

We had a wonderful time at Marisa’s place. There was lots a room for the 16 of us to spread out. The young adults loved exploring the grounds with the golf cart and we all had a great time playing pool. We would definitely stay again.

Our stay and treatment was perfect from the first conversation about wanting to stay there.... the host was great through out our stay..... couldn’t have ask for a more friendly warm welcome.... great place and wonderful host... We had no issues was a great place to get away with my family.... the house was great for our family time there... and the out doors was just the same.... This property is stunning. Acres and acres of gorgeous trees, ponds, and wildlife. The house is huge! Well maintained and furnished. We had everything available to have an amazing weekend.

We stayed at Hermitage Hills Estates for my daughters wedding weekend - the whole family was able to be together in the amazing home. Tons of space and just a wonderful way to spend time together. Nick and Marisa were outstanding hosts - great with answering questions and even fresh flower arrangements to greet us. We loved our stay and would recommend this as a great place for any kind of gathering or getaway.

We had a group of 8 guys stay for a weekend and it was great. If you like nature or fishing than this place is for you. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

This home is impressive inside and out. Our extended family of 10 adults and 3 children fit comfortably. There were many toys to entertain the grandkids. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped to make a large meal. There was plenty of space for making memories!

Patti's cottage is spacious and inviting. The views are amazing and there's lots to do, from relaxing with a good book to indoor board games and puzzles and ping pong to outdoor adventures with kayaking and hiking. The kitchen is fully outfitted. There's loads of prep space and the range is first-rate (if you're into cooking). The beds are comfy and the baths are nice. Did I mention the views are amazing?!

Very nice place. Exactly as pictured and described. Our children and grandchildren joined us (10 of us in all) for a weekend birthday celebration at Patti's lake house. We thoroughly enjoyed the house. It was nicely furnished, decorated, and supplied, and it was spotless. There were more than enough beds for everyone. This was an ideal house for four couples with two children. It seems like they have thought of just about everything - inside and out. Unfortunately we were there on a cold November weekend so we didn't spend much time outside, but we definitely enjoyed the board games, gas fireplace, and other indoor amenities. It would be awesome to visit in the summer to take advantage of the beautiful outdoor living spaces and extensive outdoor recreational equipment. I rated value as a 4 mainly because I feel at the price point of the property, a $200 cleaning fee is excessive - especially when they ask you to wash the bedding and start the dishwasher. But beyond that, the value was excellent. We did encounter a problem with the water system, but our call to Patti was promptly returned. We would definitely go back, and I can definitely recommend this as an excellent vacation spot for extended families - especially in the summer.

A short drive from the interstate and you are in the heart of Amish country. This home is in a peaceful rural setting - no loud noises, no street traffic. You’ll have a very comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Miranda is a welcoming host and available to answer any questions. We had a very good supper a short drive away at a nearby golf course restaurant.

Quiet country home. Lots of critters around which makes for sweet nature sounds both in the evening and morning. Close access to Indiana and not too terribly far from I69.. nice place

Don’t let this location fool you. The inside is a gorgeous, clean and cozy place to stay don’t let the outside fool you! The host is very friendly and is quick to respond.

The pictures don’t do this space enough justice! The kitchen, dining room, and living room is all open not squared off! Plenty of space for air mattress’ and amenities to make your stay comfortable!!
