Our Tiny House in the Trees is for whimsical and playful folks who like things intimate, cozy and homespun. You'll be charmed by how comfy and relaxed it feels to nest in an itty bitty home. (Super itty bitty.) Snuggle down! Enjoy your morning coffee on the porch and sleep snuggled up in the loft. Please really expect a TINY house. Indeed, this house is smaller than a hotel room. The Tiny House is in the backyard of our home. Our pup and our little boy are sometimes out back playing. You'll come in and go out through a a big gate at the top of the driveway. There's a latch on the gate that should be closed at all times. And just so you know, there's always a house project going on in the backyard. : )

Downtown (the square): 1.9 miles Duke (east campus): 2.2 miles Whole Foods: 2.1 miles Farmer's Market: 1.7 miles
  • This little tiny house was a perfect getaway even for just a night. It was such a relaxing environment. My fiancée and I enjoyed the puzzles, coloring books, and bluetooth speaker that was provided. We spent the night listening to good music and chatting. Thank you for letting us enjoy your little piece of heaven.

  • This space was so relaxing! It is the perfect space to disconnect from busy life and slow down. The bed was comfortable, amenities were great, and very clean. Jarret and Mira gave recommendations for restaurants and things to do in Durham too! I enjoyed my stay so much and I would love to return in the future!

Our yurt (30ft. dia.) is rustic, beautiful, quiet, in deep woods with deck overlooking pond. Great for couples, small families (not childproof). Includes hot tub & Woodland Banners Poetry Walk. Beds are futons. It's warm June-Aug. (no A/C, plenty fans), but way cooler than the city. It's cold Nov.-March (wood stove heat). Mini-fridge & microwave (no kitchen/plumbing). Bath-house is 2-min. walk (toilet, sink, shower). Two minutes to Saxapahaw. Read description for more info. SERIOUSLY NO PARTIES.
This yurt offers an adventure in glamping. The large round canvas structure is sited in the woods, with its own big deck (with fire-pit) overlooking Frog Pond. Inside are electricity, bottled water, 2 beds, wood stove, recliner and plenty of places to sit & chill. The big table is right for dining or doing projects. We offer coffee + coffeemaker (you make) but no breakfast. There's also a mini-fridge, microwave, plates, cups and utensils, fireplace wood. There is wi-fi & plenty books, games & DVDs (no TV; bring your laptop). The yurt is especially enjoyable in the spring and fall, and magically great in the rain. It can get cold in late fall/winter, esp. early morning. If you have a sleeping bag you love, bring it. It will be hot June-August. The space is not childproof, so best not to bring toddlers.
Frog Pond Farm is located about two-and-a-half miles from Saxapahaw, a 200-year-old mill village on the Haw River. Saxapahaw is a thriving tourist destination, offering Saxapahaw General Store, The Eddy Pub, Cup 22 Coffeehouse, Haw River Ballroom, The Bridge Center for Healing Arts, Left Bank Butchery, Saxapahaw Museum, and Haw River Farmhouse Ales brewery. Look them up on the web for current events. Haw River Canoe & Kayak Co. can take you boating on the river, and you can hike the Haw River Trail. For supermarkets or liquor stores, you can drive to Graham (take Hwy 87 north) or to Carrboro/Chapel Hill (take Hwy 54 east); they are both 15 miles from Saxapahaw.
  • Had a second great stay! My only suggestion is to extend the driveway down. I appreciated the clean towels and loved the animals! Will definitely be back next year!

    Nicole2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Love it every time!

    Paige2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Unique place to stay nestled in a private wooded property. Great place to get away and relax from the rush of life. I am cold natured and stayed plenty warm with the wood fire and it got down to the 20s at night.

    Michelle2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! If you have the opportunity to visit, even just for a night, it’s wonderful. Don’t let the cold weather stop you...the wood burning fire place keeps you toasty warm and the hot tub in the freezing cold weather is awesome! I would say we picked the perfect time to stay-no bugs and cold weather for a fire! We had so much fun getting away for a few days here. Steven and Linda are great and we loved the dogs visiting and listening to the sounds of the rooster and geese! We had an unexpected treat of rain on the first night. The sound of the rain on the yurt roof along with the cozy fire and hot tub was so relaxing. We will definitely be returning!

    Candy2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! 3 Minutes from Saxapahaw general store, brewery and ballroom. Every thing we needed was provided. This includes firewood which made our stay surprisingly warm despite temperatures just below freezing. The hot tub was great for a morning soak. Linda has great communication and check in was a breeze. We enjoyed our conversation with the host and look forward to staying at Frog Pond again.

    Derek2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Magical little place. Loved our short stay.

    Maria2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an experience! There is such history to the yurt and it really makes the space feel special. The hot tub and the view of the woods were such a relaxing touch. Highly recommend if your into nature and want a little escape from the woods

Our 128 sq ft tiny house is located on Wildwoods Community Farm, a 4-acre nonprofit permaculture farm and dedicated tiny house community. At Wildwoods, our mission is to educate the public on the various facets of sustainable living. We're also only a short 10-minute drive to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Whether you come for the experience of staying in a tiny house, or just need a cozy place to lay your head, we'll do our best to make sure that your stay is rejuvenating and memorable :)
____________________________________ **COVID-19 Update: As a superhost, the safety and comfort of my guests is my main priority. I have been following the CDC's protocols for disinfecting a space, and want to reassure guests that I will be very thorough in cleaning and preparing the house for you. I also have a flexible cancelation policy to accommodate changing circumstances. ____________________________________ To be able to fit all of the necessities of living into a space that is less than 250 square feet requires careful design and planning. We utilized every square foot in carefully crafting this 128 square foot home that's both functional and beautiful. The home contains a few distinct 'rooms': you first enter into the living room, with an adjustable futon, desk/work space, closet, and a growing book & movie collection. Then you walk back towards the kitchen, with spices, cooking oils, and all the cookware you'd need to make a home-cooked meal for yourselves. The adjacent bathroom contains a toilet and a shower with plenty of hot water on demand. And above you is the wonderfully cozy sleeping loft, with a super comfy queen-sized memory foam bed and window that you can prop open to enjoy the breeze and sounds wafting in from the farm. Undoubtedly, this is a great place to unplug and reconnect with nature: The farm itself is beautiful, and becomes more so every day as we continue to build and cultivate the land. There are also hiking trails just a short walk from the front door. On the other hand, we don't eschew modern conveniences--guests can stay connected on our high-speed fiber wifi :)
There is a lot to explore in this area, but notable attractions in the immediate area are: -Honeysuckle Tea House, serving up teas grown on-site, baked goods, smoothies and occasionally some live music (now open for the season!) -Maple View Farm and Dairy (a local fave for fresh ice cream) -Pickards Mountain Eco-Institute -Keith Arboretum: one of the largest collections of woody plants east of the Mississippi There are also many nice trails and hikes at the nearby Carolina North Forest, and some of the best views in the Piedmont at the Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area in Hillsborough. For a nice day trip, the nearby town of Saxapahaw (20 min away) on the Haw River is a gem, especially on Saturdays with its bustling farmers' market full of food, music, and activities.
  • Cute, cozy, well organized, and stocked with things to make the stay more pleasant. A+ communication from the host as well as outstanding hospitality. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Brandon’s place is was clean comfortable and super cozy. Brandon was communicative and friendly. I hope to come back and stay a few more days in the summertime!

    Lisa2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house we stayed in was stylish. Our first tiny house experience. Beautiful farm. Brandon accommodated our needs, stayed up late until we arrived and let us stay a bit later. Loved the experience! Definitely a must have for your bucket list.

    Lori2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house was even better than I could have expected! Extremely well designed and thought out. It was a novelty but was very homey and cozy. We had been on the road for a few weeks and it was the perfect end to our journey. Comfy bed, used the grill, and watched birds! Brandon was a great host and was very helpful and nice to talk to!

    Caroll2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Brandon is a fantastic host. We stayed in the same tiny house a few years ago and it was such a memorable visit, we decided to do it again. It's a great experience if you're looking to do something off the beaten path and enjoy Chapel Hill/Carrboro.

    Goeun2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place! My daughter and I stayed here for a night and it was very comfortable, convenient, quiet, and clean. Brandon is easy to work with and has a great list of local activities and restaurants. This listing will be on the top of our list when we return to the area. Thank you for sharing your tiny house!

    Catherine2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our tiny house stay was a great way to have a relaxing getaway. Brandon was very welcoming and shared his experiences with building tiny homes. Conveniently located not too far from downtown areas but far enough away to find some tranquility. Highly recommend staying here.

  • We are a family of 4 with kids aged 3 and 6 and stayed in the Cozy Cabin for one night over a chilly weekend. It was just what we were looking for! We wanted to stay somewhere unique that was close to home. The cozy cabin let us disconnect for a day and have fun exploring the grounds, play on the stage, cuddle in front of a roaring fire, play games and sing songs. The 2 bed setup upstairs worked great for us as we could tuck the kiddos into the back room to sleep while we stayed up later down by the fire. We asked them their favorite part of the trip and they said playing on the stage and climbing up and down the ladders to the 2nd floor. We loved having a wonderful warm fire blazing all day and night long. The cabin had everything we needed including a good set of cast iron pans to cook. We enjoyed the cabin's charm and whimsy and appreciated our host's hospitality. Thank you!

  • The cozy cabin was a great way to unplug from the world for a little without actually being too far away from anything! I would not suggest this cabin for someone who doesn’t enjoy things like camping and stuff, but overall the cabin was amazing. It was a really great place to stay because it gave our vacation an extra story of the different, cozy cabin we stayed in! Mark is also a great host. He’s easy to get in contact with and always trying to make your stay better!

Come stay at our modern vintage guesthouse in Historic Trinity Park. Our cottage has all modern appliances with vintage fixtures. This 380 square foot cottage is located in a very lively and safe neighborhood just minutes from downtown Durham. Walk one mile on the Ellerbe creek trail to downtown and enjoy all the great entertainment Durham has to offer. Walk 1.5 mile to 9th street restaurants and shops 1 mile to Central Park and farmers market <1 mile to bars and restaurants on geer street
Our cottage has all the modern amenities provided to make your stay comfortable. We have carefully selected vintage fixtures to make the cottage stand out from the pack! The 380 square foot feels much bigger than its size would suggest. The fully equipped kitchen has a brand new stove and euro fridge.. sorry no dishwasher. The bedroom has a queen size bed and an armoire for your clothes. The living room/dinning room are open to the kitchen and provide ample space for relaxing and dining. We also provide complementary coffee/tea and wifi.
The cottage is located on a quite cul-de-sac in historic Trinity Park. The Ellerbe Creek Trail is a greenway located at the end of the street that provides a great way to walk downtown, about 1 mile. The street consists of 1940's single family bungalows all with beautiful trees and gardens.
  • The space was well laid-out and had a retro look that we really liked. Quiet area not too far from the action.

    Taryn2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our little over night adventure to Durham. There place was very clean! Comfortable bed. I am sensitive to fragrances and was very pleased to enter a place without all the strong air fresheners that a lot of places have. I also noticed that the cleaning supplies was all organic! Highly recommend! If we ever visit Durham again, I hope to stay here.

    Amanda2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • You will love the feel of this cottage. Everything about the space was thoughtfully put together. The design was unique and very comfortable. Timur had coffee, water and snack bars available for his guests. Just make sure you know how to use a french press. I had never used one before but looked online and it was not a problem. We would definitely consider staying there again for an overnight stay.

    AnnMarie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint little private cottage near Northgate Mall. Ioved the artsy theme and full kitchen was nice. It was very clean . I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to Durham for Duke games💙

    Debbie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautiful and really feels like home for however long you stay. It's beautifully designed with great artwork and furniture. It comes with great amenities like coffee, granola bars, an AppleTV, etc. Also, the bed is soooo comfortable. Timur is quick to respond with any questions and made the check-in process very seamless. We really didn't want to leave the cottage once our time was up and will definitely stay here when we come back to Durham!

Our renovated 1905 home is quietly tucked away in Historic Morehead Hill, a Durham neighborhood just southwest of the city center. There a sunny and peaceful room, cozy bed and full, private, en suite bathroom await you after a day of sightseeing. From here, it's a 10-minute walk to Downtown, DPAC, & Duke East. Continental breakfast included. We encourage you to read our entire listing including the Getting Around and Neighborhood sections.
Our historic home built around 1905 has been completely renovated and updated. The home is located in a diverse, emerging, historic neighborhood called Morehead Hill (see the Neighborhood section!). It is very safe, active, and near everything if you're willing to walk (we and our neighbors walk just about everywhere - see the Getting Around section!). Overall the home is just shy of 1600 sq/ft, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Your bedroom, which has a full-size bed and an attached, private, full bath, is located in the front of the house, just inside the front door for your ease in coming and going. Plus, the room has both honeycomb shades and black-out drapes for adjusting your desired level of privacy and light. Your quiet, sunny room includes a desk, reading chair, and the bed is extra comfy with a pillow top. People spend a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful North Carolina weather and our neighborhood is no different. There is a large front porch for sipping some tea and a wonderful screened in back deck for morning coffee or relaxing with a cold beer. While you can't see it from the street, our backyard is like a little green cave with mature trees and a little creek. We especially love how private, quiet and wooded it is even though we are so close to downtown. From our screened-in back porch we've spotted foxes, owls, hawks, raccoons, opossums, and an abundance of squirrels and birds.
Morehead Hill is a designated historic neighborhood which is rich in history and beauty. It is a primarily older, working-class neighborhood that is transitioning to a younger, middle-class, family neighborhood. People are drawn here for the houses, the Montessori Magnet grade school, and proximity to Downtown Durham and Duke University. The neighbors, people from all walks of life, are friendly and warm which adds richness, charm and character to this diverse area. A few of our neighbors are African-American, Asian or Hispanic. Some are from working-class families who have lived in the neighborhood for years. A few of our neighbors are older retirees who never want to move. Some of our neighbors have quite a bit of wealth and others are economically challenged. We have many couples, some with children, some without children, some older empty-nesters, some gay, some straight and some single folks just starting out on their own. There are renters and owners mixed in together. It's diverse! Currently there are five properties (including ours) that are renovated to look like new on our street and 3 that are not. This is typical of the entire neighborhood with homes in various stages of reconstruction and renovation (or not). It is safe and quiet and just keeps getting more and more beautiful as each home is revitalized. Despite historians considering this is North Carolina's first suburb, this is a city neighborhood, not a subdivision where every home is the same. Each home was built during a different era for an individual family based on their wealth at the time. Each home has taken on the personality of the families who lived in them year after year, and while there is a consistent look and feel to the neighborhood thanks to its historic designation, it is not Mayberry. We also don't have a homeowners' association making people do things to beautify their dwellings. We encourage you to use Street View where you can "tour" the neighborhood to see if the it meets your needs to experience a 5-star stay. The revitalization in this neighborhood is attracting many new businesses to the area. The Durham City CoOp opened just a few blocks away and new joints, Grub, Local Yogurt, Joe Van Gogh Coffee opened this summer. We have older businesses that are supported by life-long customers mixed in with new entrepreneurs. You will need to walk a few blocks out of our residential neighborhood to get to places to eat, drink and shop. Please see the "Getting Around" section under the Location tab at the top of the listing page and review the map on this listing page to get a sense of where we are in relation to your desired destination. Ask Alice about her "doily" theory if you want to know more. We love it here and we hope you will too!
  • Adorable home close to Downtown Durham. Front porch to relax, handsome dog to great you when arrive and warm people who are a joy. Kind of like the family you like to see! Very clean home. They are amazing cooks, so be warned!

  • This is an adorable house. Alice & Jeff are very welcoming and their dog George is the cutest! We had a lovely stay.

    Sile2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Jeff’s home is beautifully renovated, tastefully decorated, spacious, and organized! They are very thoughtful and friendly hosts.

    Neah2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Alice and Jeff was superb! They are pros! Their communication is very clear and their place is extremely thoughtfully organized and presented (down to slippers, chocolates and other nice touches!). Their location is walking distance or a very short drive to Duke’s East Campus and to downtown Durham. I expressed a concern for allergies I have to fragrances and they were very accommodating, putting towels and linens through a special wash. I was so appreciative. So appreciative (joking now) that I accidentally broke a coffee mug full of coffee in the bathroom...onto the white bath mat. I felt terrible but was graciously forgiven! I ask that others don’t try that aspect of Alice’s hospitality ...but definitely recommend the overall stay...unless I’m trying to book that date, as I would most certainly want to go back!

    Rita2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. Nice location. Would definitely stay again. Durham is a neat little city.

    Alexandra2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Alice & Jeff have a charming place with amenities and lots of hospitality. And their dog, George, is a sweetheart! Definitely recommended.

    Lisa2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Alice & Jeff truly have thought of everything. Alice shared some great tips with me about downtown Durham that I really appreciated. A beautiful place to stay!

    Sarah2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Alice and Jeff are super hosts, friendly and welcoming. The house is SO cute. If you are not into old houses, though, this may not be the place for you. The house is totally updated and the guest room is wonderful. There is a small non-working fireplace and a spotlessly clean en suite bath that is up to date and equipped with anything you might need or have forgotten. Alice and Jeff are SUPERHOSTS for sure.

  • Great location - close to Franklin, UNC, Carboro; close to trails and The Y. Nice setup. Very spacious. Clean. All around easy check-in, coming / going, and checkout. Host responsive with communications. Strong value. Definitely recommend.

  • Gianluca’s apartment is well-lit and very comfortable. It’s a close drive to downtown. Should we be passing through again, we will definitely return.

    Timothy2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great basement studio with beautiful view to the Carolina forest! Spacious and private. Don't book this place unless hearing footsteps annoy you. It wasn't a problem for me since I sleep profoundly and it wasn't a big deal, but noticeable. Gianluca was a fantastic host and friendly. I would stay here again if I have to come back to UNC.

    christopher2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Gianluca is a friendly, hospitable host. All communication was clear and timely. The house is clean, relaxing, and close to anything you want to do near Chapel Hill. A completely pleasant stay.

  • Gianluca's in-law suite is a great place to spend time in Chapel Hill. He is very helpful about coordinating logistics and planning for your visit. I'd stay here again for sure!

  • This apartment was pretty spacious and clean

    Ashokkumar2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • This was the second time I stayed at Gianlucas house. They received me with a warm welcome and it felt like coming back home. The apartment and the hosts are incredibly charming and I would definitely recommend staying with them. The location offers you everything you could possibly need for a nice holiday or worktrip.

    Serena2020-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay. It is a very large basement area with a bedroom, common room, and bathroom. It felt like somewhere I could live for weeks. The only negative comments about this listing is the noise..the unit is located below a family with children and the ceilings are very thin. You may find the noises very disruptive. I did not reduce a star because I booked the unit at a rate significantly below the market and therefore felt I still received adequate value.

  • Five stars all around and Debra’s modern abode! We checked in with easy access and noticed quickly the wonderful amenities and small touches provided: great toiletries, small snacks (possibly leftover), a smart TV, clean and comfortable linens, and space heaters that were powerhouses in making the place snug on two cold nights. Would definitely stay here again and take advantage of its proximity to my favorite church in the world, The Advocate, and the heartiest breakfast in Chapel Hill at The Root Cellar.

  • Amazing space and great price. A+

    Dustin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth and Tyler go above and beyond what is required for their guests. There were so many little details like multiple usb chargers, earplugs, a/c temperature setting at your convenience, recommendations for hot spots to eat, drink, and party in town, providing a map, a bath robe and shoes, etc. I could keep going. The lake view is icing on the cake! The hospitality that they exhibit shows their attention to detail and customer service skills. If you’re looking for a great time in chapel hill, this is the place to be!

    James2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb experiences we've had! The suite was spotless and included a bunch of extras, which really made the stay special. We loved the bed- it's soooooooo comfortable! My husband and I were able to catch up on some much needed sleep - probably the best sleep we've got in years ! The location feels secluded, but in reality it is super convenient to a bunch of great restaurants. The price was incredibly affordable for everything you get! You can tell the hosts take hospitality seriously because no detail was overlooked. I will for sure stay here again next time we are in the area!

    Michelle2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth is a most gracious host. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept very well. The view over the lake is lovely, with plenty of natural light coming into the suite. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe. We would definitely stay again.

  • Having moved to Chapel Hill without a permanent place to live, Jamine's place really helped me settle down. The apartment is very accessible and is located very close to the N bus line. Communication with Jamine was fast and check-in instructions were extremely easy. The place was sparkling clean with great amenities. Although I didn't get to interact with Jamine much (as he was away on vacation for a couple of weeks) but he was a great host and we had good chats. I would recommend this place to anyone staying in Chapel Hill for anything ranging from short stays to longer stays (I, myself, stayed for 3 weeks).

I also liked the easy hike to the Root Cellar in the morning for a good coffee and a very good scone. My daughter is a UNC student and her house is less than a mile away. We also hiked at Jordan Lake and visited my sister in Raleigh, both easy drives from Jane’s place. The beds were comfortable and the nights quiet. Great escape!

    Lauren2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's home is a great place for a relaxing and productive stay. Access to the lovely garden was special and I was there in winter! The location is perfect for anyone involved in the the fast growing tech community as well as Universities.

  • The place was perfect—beautiful scenery, clean interior, spacious, and a great location. Plus, jane’s communication was great. I would stay again and recommend it to anyone!

  • Mary and Rick's place is a wonderful place to stay. The bed is comfortable, kitchen is fully stocked, the place is very clean, spacious and easy to settle into. It even has an outdoor sitting area that's a private and cozy. Mary was easy to get in touch with when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know in person. She also left us a delicious zucchini bread to welcome us. Thank you Mary! We easily settled in and felt like it was our home away from home. We're looking forward to staying with Mary and Rick again soon!

  • This is a great place that is very close to UNC Hospital. Easily walking distance for those that need a place close by. It is very clean and Mary and Rick are very responsive. We enjoyed our stay there and would stay again in a minute.

    Sean2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Mary & Rick’s place! It was such a lovely and spacious apartment with plenty of privacy. I didn’t feel like I was in a basement (my previous trip to Chapel Hill involved a basement Airbnb that reeked of damp rid). The amenities are lovely with Crate & Barrel dishes, plenty of tea and baked goods. Loved having nice, comfortable furniture - truly felt like a home, not a temp stay. Thank you for such lovely hospitality!

    Grace2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place will be way better than you expect. Photos looked incredible, but the actual space is thoughtfully decorated, well layed out, and just feels like home. I did not want to leave. Not the mention, it's so close to campus! I walked everywhere. Truly a wonderful experience.

  • Katie's location is perfect if you want to check out Franklin street and adjacent to the UNC campus. It is a good value for the price and it is very easy to come and go as you please. Check in and check out were extremely flexible and easy. Be aware it is on a busy street if you are Ubering around and such so be careful or leave the driver some room to pull over. Katie is very sweet, kind, and takes interest to her guests. She is a wonderful host and her dog is very excited to meet you!

We're a mile from downtown Carrboro; about 3 miles from UNC-Chapel Hill; about a block from a coffee shop; very near a grocery store. We're just steps from a bus stop (Chapel Hill Transit provides free service). What our house lacks in modern amenities, it makes up for in, well, in stuff. There's lots of stuff to look at. Plenty of deer on the front lawn, not that we're together enough to have an actual lawn. We'll cook you breakfast if you want.
--brand new double bed; --Dave wants to play Scrabble with you; --Erica will cook you breakfast; --Carrboro's cool; --we're friendly but we can mind our own business; --there'll be a fire in the fireplace in the winter; --we live in an older home and aren't interested in bright and shiny. Plenty of guests are perfectly happy here; a few, not so much. If you can't deal with some dust, don't come here. Your room will be nice and clean, but the rest of the house is "lived-in" and that's fine with us. --if you have some weird-ass fear of black cats, which, like some people do? this isn't the place for you, but best of luck.
    it's the suburbs, baby.
  • Erica makes you feel right at home and is absolutely lovely.

    Niki2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was a fantastic stay in a lovely neighborhood close to UNC!

    Alice2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Erica is a kind and welcoming host. I immediately felt at home.

    David2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • It's cluttered--but that's just fine. Actually, I'd say, it's homey. We had a wonderful visit and the hosts were incredibly warm and friendly. We departed as friends, and we look forward to returning.

    Robert2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Erica and Dave are great! Very accommodating, and a comfortable space to relax for the week while traveling for work.

    Pam2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Érica and Dave are super friendly and helpful, if you want to talk they give you a chat and if you don't want to talk they don't bother you. The accommodation is as shown, a room and a small desk. Inside the house in the common areas, you can use any installation without any problem. I recommend it

  • Jackson’s place was very clean, comfortable, beautiful and made us feel right at home! We will definitely stay again if we are in the area! 100% recommend!

    Sarah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • There truly aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful this space is. It truly felt like home away from home. Jackson truly left no stones unturned with this amazing property. It is everything described and so much more. If this space is open book immediately!

    Jeffery2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Jackson’s casita was even better than I had imagined it would be. It is gorgeous and looks even better in person. The ceilings are wonderfully high and I loved the different and seamless lighting options. Most relevant of all to me, the bed was perfect—I had just driven a long way and had a lot more driving to do the next day, and quality sleep was paramount. (This is noteworthy because many otherwise lovely hotels and bnbs have less than ideal beds.) Additionally, the neighborhood was quiet, easy to navigate and beautiful. My only regret was that I didn’t have more time to spend here!

The casita was a perfect landing pad for exploring Carrboro and the surrounding Triangle area. We enjoyed being a short walk to the main strip in Carrboro with great food and drink options right around the corner and helpful recommendations from the hosts. Thanks!

  • The perfect accommodations!

    Mary2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed at Blair and Clayton’s guesthouse for a long weekend, but it is the perfect setup for a more extended stay. The space looks brand new and is impeccably clean. They’ve thought of everything you could need for a comfortable stay. They also checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend!

    Alice2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible. Way beyond my expectations in terms of its massive size, clean and sleek interior and privacy. I loved it and would come back in a heartbeat. Coffee and tea provided and a big enough space that it’s more of a full house than a casita! Will be back

    Erika2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Casita is a wonderful place to stay and relax. Easy walking to Carrboro. Very clean and modern. A better kitchen than mine at home! Comfortable bed and linens. This is one not to be missed.

    Mary2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
