  • Great rental, with wonderful hosts. Very responsive and many great amenities.

  • Great place and location. Super helpful and responsive hosts.

  • Excellent place to stay! We absolutely loved the small details the owners have so thoughtfully added to make the stay so memorable and enjoyable. The place was clean, loved the cozy but modern decor, the fireplace, the bookshelves, the record player. It was located close to a quaint town and brewery and not far from some nice hiking trails. The lake is stunning both in the morning and at night. The owners were extremely responsive. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a low key relaxing and romantic weekend getaway.

  • Jonathan and Suzanne have a wonderful private retreat on a beautiful lake. The house is one of only a few on this secluded lake and has the best frontage of them. They also do a very good job supplying all the things you could want for a weekend getaway in the Catskills.

    Gregory2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Had such an amazing time at Jonathan and Suzanne's place! It was the perfect upstate getaway i was hoping for! Little thoughtful touches like a bottle of red and sparkling was very touching. We basically spent the whole time in front of their cute fireplace inside. Their communication was amazing - whatever and whenever we had questions, they were very very responsive ! The local guide tips they had too were also great! The house was also incredibly clean, and the views over the lake (frozen at the time) was just gorgeous! Thank you guys so much for a gorgeous weekend away! Can't wait to come back and visit! If anyone is looking for a secluded place, for a quiet getaway, this is the place!

  • We stayed at Jonathan & Suzanne’s amazing cottage for our mini baby-moon and loved everything about it. Unlike our first baby-moon we didn’t travel internationally for it, and we wouldn’t change a thing about that. The house was such a great find. It’s thoughtfully designed and decorated, and although we had a winter stay and thus couldn’t swim in the lake, we were still able to revel in the night sky. And that fireplace...don’t even get me started. It took me a night or two to get the hang of starting a fire again, but once I got it going, I felt transported to another life. One where I’m a woodsman with a rugged beard. We desperately want to return and I look forward to that trip. From now on, this is our baby-free getaway in the Catskills.

Less than a two hour drive from NYC. A well equipped private retreat in a quiet wooded location with lots of outdoor recreation area. Just two blocks from a lake, close to Bethel Woods, Monticello Casino and Waterpark.
Very quiet location surrounded by trees. Lots of birds and a pair of very friendly chipmunks visit during summer. Large outdoor deck for entertaining, star gazing from the hot tub or relaxing in the sun. Large back yard with fire pit for smores memories.
The cabin is located in a quiet lake community. Outdoor activities are swimming, walking around the lake, hiking the wooded trail to the hidden reservoir, biking and kayaking. Bethel Woods entertainment center and the casino are both about 5 miles away. There is a great restaurant within walking distance or hop on the bicycles (2 provided) for a short ride.
  • Excellent place

  • Great weekend getaway spot! My favorite room was the sitting room, perfect for daily reflections. lots of amenities within the property. hot tub was great and host has multiple properties in the area to accommodate . Overall, GREAT vibes.

  • This was my first Airbnb and it exceeded my expectations. John is an incredible host that often went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. His home really did feel like my home away from home. It’s also very awesome that dogs are allowed -all types of dogs! Even my pit bull. His house is full of positive messages and we were greeted with a bottle of wine at check in! Thanks again for everything John and for letting us checkout late!

    Thais2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • John was an excellent host. He had some great suggestions on things to do as well as restaurants. The house was exactly as the pictures show. It was nice and cozy which was exactly what we were looking for. The hot tub was perfect on a cold February day as well. My only suggestion for anyone else renting is if you are planning on cooking any meals to bring your own tools. There was some provided but they were old or inefficient for us. There were plenty of wine, martini glasses and coffee mugs but nothing for water or if they did it looked old and dirty.

    Stacey2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • John was a great host. He responded quickly if anything was needed. The house is cute and has the basics needed. My kids really enjoyed them selves. Will be returning (:

    Jeanine2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • John was a fantastic host! I Didn’t have a single complaint, everything was great and would definitely do rent from John again in the future! Easy 5 stars to John

    Ian2020-02-05T00:00:00Z
  • John is a wonderful host. He picked us up from the bus stop and was very accommodating to our arrival time. He even picked picked us up and took us back to the bus stop at checkout - saving us multiple taxi trips! He EVEN brought us bacon and eggs one morning because the local grocery store was closed. Responded almost instantly whenever we had any questions. The hot tub was amazing under the stars and snow. We saw multiple herds of deer wandering the backyard during the 3 days we were there. The wifi and TV worked perfectly (easy to access netflix/hbo/hulu/etc.). Kitchen was stocked with basic necessities. We will definitely be back :) Things to note - Uber/Lyft DO pick up in the area, but the 2 times we tried to get a car the apps said it would take 20 mins for drivers to get to us. And as of this date, you can't schedule pickups in advance. So make sure you bring ALL the supplies you need if you don't have a car (i.e. food). Especially in winter, because the closest market is a 20 min walk (and it was closed when we got there).

    Dana2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to get away for a few days. The cabin is just the right amount of secluded and the hot tub was nice and relaxing.

The house is situated on 10 acres of hilly woods, with a stream, ideal for hiking and reflection. The wraparound deck offers views of the gorgeous surroundings, but not another house in sight.

There are just enough activities to satisfy any vacationer's needs, while leaving time for ample rest and relaxation.
  • Lovely, spacious, airy retreat - both the house and the property. The stream was gushing and could be heard from the house, so therapeutic. As soon as I arrived, I felt completely relaxed. I love the upstairs-downstairs loft layout, plenty of room to spread out, great long table looking out into the woods for sitting with a cup of coffee or just about anything else. Always a fan of the area and this is a perfect place to drop in, great location to everything. Chris was immediately responsive, friendly and welcoming. Love all the area tips on the listing and plan to come back and do a lot more of them!

    Mara2020-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is an awesome escape into beautiful scenery just two hours away from NYC. Our son and dog were in heaven just poking around in the woods and the stream - my wife and I spent many hours just decompressing on the deck. Highly recommended and a great value. Chris responds quickly to any and all questions.

  • Love this place!

    Nick2020-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay at Chris' place and look forward to coming back. The place is really perfectly situated with short drives between callicoon and narrowsburg depending on where you want to visit. Do check out the book shop on the main drag in Narrowsburg, definitely worth a visit (and it's open during this COVID nonsense).

    AJ And Freddy2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at this house with a group of 4 people and it was perfect. The house is situated in the middle of the woods and is not too close to the neighbors. Perfect get away cabin. There is a beautiful stream close by that you can explore. House is set up very nicely on the inside and sets the mood for a relaxing easy get away vacation.

    Efe2020-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing spot!! Will definitely return it as soon I have a chance. Very tranquil location!

This trailer was remodeled and conditioned with the idea of offering a different and unique space for those who visit the area. Drink a bottle of wine while using a warm hot tub to get into the peaceful mood or just simply come and relax !
  • This tiny house has everything you need for a perfect escape from the city. I enjoyed the fireplace and making barbecue in the front yard. The outside jacuzzi exceeded my expectations. Thank you Sam for your hospitality, attention to small details (water, orange juice, kitchen stuff) and quick responses. In addition, I think it’s very fair not to charge travelers a cleaning fee but encourage them to make sure that the place is kept clean. Thank you again and I’m looking forward to staying in your place in the future!

This sunroom in my reconverted barn has windows on 3 sides, looking out onto fields, woods, a swimming hole down the hill, and deer in the morning. It is 10 min. by car to Bethel Woods (Woodstock) music events, 7 miles to the Delaware River for swimming and kyacking, 5 minutes to Villa Roma Resort and Conference Center. Hiking, biking nearby. Guests say they feel 'at home' here and enjoy the quiet and nature.
The story: Sixty years ago Shorty Krantz built this barn for his cows, and locals tell me there were chickens in my present studio upstairs. But soon after it was built, the barn was inhabited by a well-digger, and nary a feather has been found upstairs. Shorty had an apple cider operation going in the bungalow across the street. Shorty was not short, his measuring of the precious liquid was, however. The space: There are two different rooms available for guests: one room is the Sunroom, a 6 skylighted room with one wall of floor to ceiling windows looking out onto the fields, and two other walls with windows looking out to the woods. The Sunroom sleeps 2, and on occasion an extra person has slept on my camping mattress on the floor. The second room I call "The Library". It has one full wall of floor to ceiling windows looking out on the garden and fields beyond, two walls of floor to ceiling bookcases, and one wall of closets. Masks that I have collected from around the world decorate this room. Both of these rooms are just off the kitchen and separated by the shared bathroom, which has both a Jacuzzi and a shower.
Rural is what we are here at the White Barn Sunroom and Library. There is a working farm at the foot of the hill, with cows, chickens, pigs, and an occasional horse. The country road we are on winds up the hill to another farm and several homes of the Fulton family (thus the address of Fulton Hill Rd.) where one can get a view of the rolling hills of the countryside, and then descends into Kenoza Lake. Word has it that Fulton Hill Rd. is one of the prettiest in the area. I agree, but then, I am prejudiced.
  • Loved staying at Linda’s place this winter for a quick weekend trip. Couldn’t have been an easier check-in and check-out process, and Linda’s recommendations for the area were very helpful. The bed is a fold-out couch, which is quite squeaky, so if you are a light sleeper that is important to note. We slept great though, and found the room very comfortable!

    Emma2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • In addition to the description you've read, the sunroom is also a very large room where you won't trip over your luggage. The view of the sunset was great and the stars magnificent when the outdoor lights are turned off. The road and nearest houses are at a lower elevation so light pollution is minimal. Next time we stay I hope I remember to bring my big telescope.

  • The room itself is gorgeous with two fire places and glass walls so you can watch the world unfold as you wake. The property is beautiful with rolling hills and lots of old hawthorn trees. Got to see some deer. The fire places keep the room cozy. Linda is a sweetheart and has breakfast for you and she even invited me to go watch jazz with her and her friends! Really spectacular experience.

My place is close to Bethel Woods, Skinners Falls, the Delaware River, kayaking, tubing, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, hiking and more. You’ll love my place because of the relaxing, quiet atmosphere with starry nights. Yet, it's close to activities, farmers markets, antique shops and it's on the same road as the concerts at Bethel Woods. It has amenities for the modern guest, we'd love to have you! Families (with kids) and small dogs are welcome :)
It's a small 2 bedroom cottage with a kitchen and bath. Two queen beds are in the master and there is a twin daybed with another twin that pulls out in the 2nd bedroom. The bathroom is a shower only. (No tub). The kitchen has a full size refrigerator and stovetop. The microwave has a convection oven and toaster option.
We're about 10 minutes from the Delaware River (at Skinners Falls) and 10 minutes to Bethel Woods. Great concerts all summer, check out the schedule in our pics. There is an alpaca farm and a Christmas tree farm nearby. There are lots of dairy farms, farmer's markets and antique shops in the area. The cottage is about a 15 minute drive to Villa Roma which has seasonal skiing. So there are a lot of things to do if a peaceful getaway is too slow for you!
  • Perfectly situated for a night away from the city with our pup and newborn. House surrounded by pine forest ❤️

  • Faustino’s place was perfect for a couples weekend getaway. The place was super clean and cozy. Easy check-in and check-out with great communication. The WiFi wasn’t working during our stay but we didn’t mind as we were hoping to disconnect anyway. Would definitely recommend this place!

  • Wow! What a great cozy home! Just like the pictures! We really enjoyed our stay. The house is located central to some cool local attractions! We finally stumbled onto the Stage location of the 1969 Woodstock festival! About 6.5 away! Fort Delaware was also cool and most of all the beautiful mountain scenery! Our pup was most grateful the warm fireplace! Quiet home with some neighbors in the good distance so we didn’t feel lonely. The kitchen is equipped with all the necessary amenities. Peck’s market is a 10 minute drive away and the staff very friendly! This is a perfect getaway for a small family who is looking to relax and disconnect from the hustle and bustle! Thank you Faustino and family!

  • Great house in the Catskills that is central (10-15 minute drive) from towns such as Callicoon, Narrowsburg, Jeffersonville and more. My wife and dog went for a weekend trip, and the place was super comfortable, large bedroom and bathroom, and other very updated amenities. Would recommend if looking to explore that area of the Catskills for sure.

    Marc2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time staying in Faustino’s cottage, and it definitely will not be the last. It is everything as advertised and even more! Has lots of scenic and travel opportunities nearby, but the cottage and surrounding property is so cozy you’ll never want to leave.

    Max2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Faustino’s place was great for our weekend visiting family in the area. Would stay here again.

  • Robert's cabin was exactly as described. We ran into a very small snag the first night but Robert responded quickly and had our dilemma fixed in less than 30 minutes!!! We were able to eat fresh eggs in the morning and fish for our dinner down by the lake. He paid attention to every detail and need anyone could possibly have. Thank you Robert for your hospitality! We will be seeing you again in the near future.

  • Bob’s cabin was wonderful! Clean and fantastic hospitality! We really enjoyed our stay and it was made so much more special by the thoughtful touches such as charcoal for our grill, fishing poles, water and other amenities. We highly suggest staying here and the area was just beautiful! We especially appreciated the fresh eggs Bob gave us from his chickens on the property! We will definitely be back!

This is a quaint country escape. Separate door from rest of house allows for total privacy. Access to basement (2 cats) and giant barn. Enormous field/forest to explore. Slightly isolated from the town center but neighbors close enough if needed. Harmless wild animals are a daily sight. Down country road 1/4M is an amazing farm. Animals everywhere. Fresh eggs & meat if you desire. Mornings are glorious with light floating the property. Extremely pure water and fresh air aplenty. Outdoor shower!
Guests can use outdoor dining table on the covered porch. They can use the washer/ dryer as well as the OUTDOOR SHOWER! (There’s a full indoor bathroom too, don’t worry:) they can use the meadow and forest behind it. Exploration of the barn is allowed upon request. And of course the whole guest unit is theirs to enjoy.
The Main Street in town is almost 5miles away. Jeffersonville is the ideal little American town (think Mayberry) with a grocery store, hardware store, bars and restaurants. Local horse farms offer riding too!
  • We had a pleasant stay in John's place . It is quiet and has a great scenery.

    Emili2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had a wonderful stay here. Perfect for a weekend excursion away from the city. I can only imagine it's even more perfect for the warmer months but we appreciated it our time here very much.

    Tarif2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The Shire is a cozy little space facing a vast expanse of green and sky. My boyfriend and I snuck away from our busy city lives to live simply and do nothing, and The Shire was absolutely perfect for that. The space was clean and equipped for cooking simple meals and engaging in conversation. John was attentive by text when we needed anything. Highly recommended!

    Teresa2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at The Shire for a fall/winter weekend. Simple but clean and sufficient amenities and John is super responsive and happy to gather what you might need. Some eggs were ready for us in the fridge which was nice. Quiet area, visits from cats, and morning light are lovely. Wifi is a bit slow. The bnb is private though attached to the main house so mild neighborly sounds of a family with a young one to be expected. About thirty minute drive away is a good hike in beautiful Delaware Wild Forest.

    Ash2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was great! John was so great and welcoming! The views from around his place are amazing. It was the perfect place to take a break from the city and recharge. Would definitely recommend!

    Kristine2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place was awesome. The space is clean and homey. The views are phenomenal and the privacy of being on a dead end street tucked away in the mountains was just what we were looking for. Very quiet and enjoyable experience! He was really cool, very communicative, and a pleasure to rent from.

    Keith2019-10-15T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect for those looking for a true camping experience. Ross lives on a beautiful family farm and was kind enough to take the time to give us a tour. The whole area was very scenic; expect wonderful sunsets! We suggest bringing some firewood to cook one of his meats for dinner, the sausage and farm fresh eggs were delicious. We can’t wait to return!

    Brianna2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • My friends and I had a wonderful time camping here for two nights. Beautiful view, peaceful and private, far enough from neighbors so that we could stay up late at the fire without disturbing anyone or being disturbed. Ross was a warm and friendly host, was readily available to sell us firewood, and showed us his farmyard animals. I will absolutely return here to camp again! Great experience.

  • Lots of value here. Worth waking up early and drinking coffee outside as the property is beautiful. Go across the street to really take it all in. Bobbie was super easy to communicate with and went above and beyond with thoughtful touches around the space. The space is better than the pictures. Perfect upstate New York vibe.

    Rashaad2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Bobbie's place about a year out as soon as I knew I was working at a wedding at a venue down the road. It was exactly what I wanted--very relaxing, spacious yet cozy, and filled with all of the amenities you could need. Bobbie was warm and welcoming, offering us suggestions of where to eat and showing us her immaculately restored home (a former church!). We had perfect Fall weather, but I'm sure The Grange would be lovely during the summer too! We'd definitely return if we find ourselves back in the area!

    Yael2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • We celebrated our wedding anniversary here and it was cute and cozy. We loved it. And Bobbie was so nice and is right next door if you ever needed anything. We will definitely be back.

  • I almost hate to tell everyone what a gem this place is because I want to be able to stay here anytime I am in the area. Debra is an outstanding host from communication to accommodating. The house was spotless and she was even kind enough to have it ready for us a few hours early and left us muffins and juice for the morning. We were lucky enough to meet her and she shared her knowledge of the back roads in the area.

    Jill2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved Murphy Brown's Place SO much. We were in town for the 50th Anniversary of Woodstock and were attending several events at Bethel Woods. Debbie's place was clean, tidy, cute, spacious, comfy beds, and like the others said, we loved the muffins, OJ, coffee, etc. for the morning before we headed out. Towels and linens were provided...cable TV, radio, full kitchen, books, and information about the area were all available. Just a short drive to Bethel Woods, maybe 15 minutes, but what a beautiful country drive that took us by the Stone Arch bridge (where we had to stop for photos!). It was our little home away from home for the long weekend. We were thrilled to pieces. We will def. be back when we visit the area again. Thanks again for our lovely accommodations and we loved meeting the place's namesake in the morning :-)

Get out of the city to the beautiful countryside. The room is small though big enough to move around with a full size bed, closet, and a private half bathroom, (toilet and large sink, hot and cold water) with towels and washcloth. Private keyed entrance. Air conditioned and heated. 150 feet of Lakefront. “Resorts” Casino just a few miles away. The house is very private on the lake, yet two minutes from the quaint town of Jeffersonville, 15 minutes from the cities of Liberty and Monticello.
The “space” is classic Catskills!, green forests, places to hike or have a healthy walk in nature. My deep water residential well is tested and free of pollutants, Eagles, beavers, deer and all NY bird species, frogs croaking on the lake in the distance on summer nights, fireflies. In the winter it is a wonderland, a white sheet with trees cradling humps of snow, the lake dotted with ice fishermen, yet inside warm and cozy with all the modern conveniences. An automatic Generac house generator with a 100 gallon propane source to guarantee comfort in case of any rare power outages! When arriving please DO NOT GO ALL THE WAY UP THE DRIVEWAY as my neighbor is very concerned about people turning around in HIS parking area. I am the second house in the driveway. Not the third house, not to the end of the driveway, but the second house in. Park to the left at the "Airbnb Parking HERE" sign, leaving room for my neighbor to get by. There is no TV but there is WiFi! The Remote Control you see in the picture is for the Air Conditioner. There are at least three places to sit, just relax or maybe have something to eat, outside your room. Thank you. No smoking in the room please.
The neighborhood is very quiet, time stands still here by the lake. The neighbors live into their 90s and mind their own business. The water well has been repeatedly tested by Orange County Lab to be pure and clean, and can be drunk right out of the faucet! Crisp and clean, the minerals ALL with excellent values.
  • Very nice and cozy place, with thoughtful host.

    Adam2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy spot on the water. Nice views from the room. John is a friendly and accommodating host, he has a sweet cat too that likes to hang out on the porch and would greet us whenever we would come back to the room.

    Ryley2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • John was so kind and attentive. Even brought us coffee in the morning! Will definitely stay here next time I'm in the area. Highly recommend!

  • Very nice and clean space to stay for 1 or a couple. Very hospitable host willing to go the extra mile if needed. Looking forward to come back soon! Thank you

  • John is very nice and accommodating. He let us in the room early and was quick to respond to all of our messages and questions.

    Nick2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • John’s place was perfect for my quick, last minute hiking trip. It was clean, comfy, and had a great view. John was so friendly and a great host. He even had coffee for me in the morning! I will definitely stay here again for my next trip upstate.

    Brianna2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, close to Bethel Woods. Space is small and doesn’t have a shower but it was perfect for our needs. John was quick to respond and greeted us as soon as we arrived to show us the room and get us settled in. He also made some coffee for the morning. The property is very quiet right on a small lake and comes with the cutest friendliest kitty!

    Laura2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Guests will be greeted to a warm welcome after arriving at a picturesque space overlooking the lake. The room is efficient and airy, with a private entrance. John will provide you with tips for activities and places to visit, and offer use of the grill or taking his boat out on the water next to the dock. There is a comfortable little space under the tree with lawn chairs and a table that are perfect for enjoying the cup of coffee or tea you will be offered in the morning.

  • Tom’s place was awesome. Great location and vibes inside the house. Entirely wood which was so cool. Quiet and peaceful. Only downside was the hot tub was not in working conditions which is one reason why I booked here. Other than that everything was great!

    Christopher2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fabulous rustic "mountain cabin". The location is superb with complete privacy and spectacular views. The surrounding rolling farmland hills without fences feel like the property is located on 100 acres! The deck is superb and lots of nice touches like the fire pit outside and fire stove inside. And yet its only a 5 minute drive to jeffersonville with its awesome cafe/bakery and more. A really relaxing place.

    Andrew2020-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place in a peaceful location. The kitchen was well stocked, and the place was beautiful. Thanks Tom!

    Katherine2020-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Tom’s place was great if you’re looking to get away from the city for awhile. Hot tub is a great touch. Kitchen has most of the essentials that you need (pots & pans, oils, salt & pepper, plates & utensils). No WiFi was a bummer as we would have enjoyed being able to watch Netflix while we were there but there is DirectTV with several pre recorded movies available which came in handy. Tom was helpful and responded quickly to all messages. Thanks for a great stay!

    Ashley2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous little chalet! Perfect location — lots of peace and quiet, but also a short drive to little shops in town. Wonderful, thoughtful amenities and sparkling clean. Tom was a perfect host and even let us check in a bit early to get ahead of a winter storm!!

    Min2020-03-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. The place was clean and quiet. Tom was great!

    Katie2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This home was great for a weekend away from the city, about a 2.5 hour drive. The wood stove was a nice touch, fun to get a fire started, also in the fire pit outside. The hot tub was really nice too and easily accessible from downstairs. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the essentials needed to cook if you wish or make coffee, etc. The town was quaint, we had lunch in town, and is nearby to Bethel home of Woodstock or hiking. The property itself doesn't have many neighbors nearby and the views are so peaceful. Overall very clean and comfortable and everything you need to enjoy a weekend away from the city!

Located in the Western Catskill Mountains on 20 beautiful acres of land the ground floor of the farmhouse is a perfect cozy retreat to nature. You'll have access to a private bathroom, living room with wood stove and kitchen where you cook can breakfast with farm-raised eggs (when in season). Surrounded by fields and forest, you can enjoy views of rolling hills, gaze at the Milky Way from the outdoor fire pit, walk the new orchard or just sit and enjoy the wood stove on a winters cold night.
Set on 20 acres overlooking the Western Catskill Mountains, Wild Russet Farm is a small-scale organic vegetable farm with free-range chickens, and newly planted orchard for hard cider. Explore the meandering pathways through the fields, walk along the pond or take a breath of fresh air on a stroll through the forest. The rental is located on the ground floor of the main house with its own entrance, private bathroom, living room and kitchen space. Kitchen has a toaster oven, coffeemaker, full size refrigerator and a portable stove. Please note that there is only a hot pot burner and induction cook stop and no range stove.
Wild Russet Farm is settled in mountain and field views and surrounded by dairy and cattle farms with no visible neighbors, with the town of Jeffersonville less than five minutes away. It's super quiet and relaxing space to unwind.
  • We had a nice quite weekend at Ryan’s place. Especially we enjoyed fire place and record player with a nice selection of records, which made the place cozier. We were able to take some nice hikes in the area. We purchased some delicious products from the farm. The honey is beyond delicious. And we received some beautiful spring flowers as a gift from the host.

    Sveta2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charming little (actually quite spacious) farmhouse retreat. Perfect spot to finish that novel, escape from the city or just chill with your significant other. Loved the floor to ceiling windows with gorgeous views opening up onto the farm. Other highlights were amazing star filled night skies (they even have a telescope), a fun living room area complete with turntable and Elvis records, and farm fresh eggs, honey and veggies available for purchase. Will definitely be back.

    Arnaldo2020-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful stay. The farm is beautiful, with sprawling hills and acres to walk around on. It's a lot of fun adventuring around to small local towns where we grabbed everything from pancake making ingredients to a couple delicious cocktails. If you're looking for a rustic natural getaway this is a great spot!

    Brendan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great getaway. The grounds are massive and you can do a bit of exploring! There are sheep, chicken, and even a turkey that live there. Ryan had prepared a fire for us that was on when we got there. The location is between a few great towns with things to do. I imagine it’s even more beautiful in the fall!

    Emily2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very cozy and quaint - it has everything from an indoor fire stove, outdoor fire, beautiful woods/lake/hills, an overly friendly cat, a huge and aggressive turkey, chicken/sheep/cows, a quiet town nearby, etc. Perfect for weekend getaway for two or a fun retreat with a couple friends!

    Sunny2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely quiet space located in a beautiful spot!

    Anne2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The Airbnb is spacious and situated on a beautiful farm. The space was decorated nicely. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

    Evan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Space was very comfortable with two BR a nice sized bathroom, LR and kitchenette. Views resembled Tuscany! Chickens, kitties and Tom, the turkey, roamed freely, a few sheep were fenced in. We bought free range eggs from the hosts and they were the freshest, best eggs we’d EVER had!! We’ll definitely come back!

  • This is the PERFECT getaway. The house and property are so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. The hosts are excellent at communication, even when I ran into issues with phone service due to being in a very remote area. The amenities were excellent, the house beautifully prepared! This 3-season cottage offers cozy and secluded country-living with an open kitchen and deck. It's sunny and relaxing, against a backdrop of lush green mountain-forest views from every window. The grounds include a large yard, pleasantly secluded on all sides from any neighbors. A mere 2-hour drive from NYC and located in the Upper Delaware River Valley near Bethel Woods Performing Arts Center, French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts and the hamlets of Calicoon, Narrowsburg and Hancock, NY.
The view from the reading room captures the mountain pond, just across the gravel road, along with beautiful foliage. With the exception of the gravel road, the property remains secluded on all 4 sides, by dense forests and mountains; out of eyesight or earshot of any neighbors. So feel free to use the yard, for fun and games, or peaceful tranquility, day or night. The yard is also ideal for yoga, reading a good book, photography or camping out and inviting friends for a weekend of glamping and stargazing. Keep the fun going as late as everyone in your group wants, with the charming fire pit. Depending on the month, the Milky Way and Perseids meteor shower can offer stunning photos from the yard at night. For those who are outdoor recreation enthusiasts, the cottage and grounds are an ideal base camp for fun and relaxation, including cycling, mountain biking, hiking and paddle-sports. See "Guidebook" and "The Location/The Neighborhood" description for details of available activities in the area.
The magnificent "Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River," and its tributaries, are the major attraction of the area and a favorite for tubing, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, creek boating as well as fishing (https://www.nps.gov/upde/index.htm). Bring your own boats/tubes/raft or rent the same from Lander's River Trips. Visit Skinner's Falls (15 minutes away) for a shot at some class II rapids or simply hangout in the wading pools or on the sun-warmed boulders there. The property itself is nestled in an area defined by mountains and flowing creeks; known locally as The Basket. This unique area offers beautiful driving, great cycling, mountain biking, hiking, trail and road running options as well as peaceful seclusion. Five minutes away is Crystal Lake Wild Forest which offers hiking trails and a pristine mountain lake for swimming and paddling (https://www.dec.ny.gov/lands/79594.html). Ten minutes away is Catskill Pheasantry, a premier skeet-shooting and upland game preserve. Venturing further out, the trending hamlets of Calicoon on the Delaware and Narrowsburg offer dining, antiquing, nightlife, a cinema, local breweries, grocery stores and a farmers market; among other things. Within 40 minutes are notable attractions such Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (site of the 1969 Woodstock festival), Resorts World Catskills Casino & Raceway, Himalayan Institute Retreat Center and much more. Cyclists will be more than satisfied with the countless possibilities for road riding. A favorite is the round trip to Calicoon on the Delaware. This trip is challenging, beautiful and rewarding when stopping over at the Calicoon Brewery or one of the many other dining options there. A similarly rewarding, but shorter ride, is the round trip to the hamlet of Long Eddy, where you can stop in at The Chestnut, the Long Eddy Hotel & Saloon or Eminence Road Farm Winery for food and refreshments. Mountain/Gravel bikers and hikers alike will love exploring the many gravel roads and old logging trails that can be accessed directly from the property. A fun MTB/Gravel bike/hiking challenge involves cranking through old gravel and logging roads, trails and fields to get to the elusive McGurrins Pub for refueling; before crankin' it back to basecamp. About 20 minutes away is Walnut Mountain, one of the funnest public (free) access MTB/CX biking trail systems in the Catskills; boasting 13 miles of single track and about 5 miles of old carriage roads (http://www.renegadesmtb.com/walnut-mtn-map12014-copy.png). See "Guidebook" for more details on available activities in the area.

  • Very nice owners. A great place to relax and escape from the big city (concrete jungle). Nice cozy and clean place in the middle of the forest and close to the river and the lake. Lots of rest to make a barbecue or campfire. we will defiantly come back there. Thank you!!!

  • Although the place was a bit hard to find (Google maps will misdirect you about 500’ from the actual house), the space itself was extremely well maintained and clean. Great for a short weekend. Be sure to use the fire pit!

    Kyle2019-09-08T00:00:00Z

  • Maria's cabin is very nice - a nice roomy house right next to a pond. We enjoyed getting out of the city and being surrounded by trees. There was plenty of hiking right around the cabin - you don't need to drive anywhere, though apparently there are lovely places to visit nearby as well. It's the perfect escape from New York. We had some problems with our car rental and phones, which Maria went above and beyond the normal hosting responsibilities to help us with. We would certainly go back.

Tucked far away from the city, this cabin is a rustic escape from anything hectic. Build a fire, wake up to birds chirping, float on the river, take a hike, write a book, thank us in your dedication. This place has everything you need to leave the city and get back to simple pleasures like spotting deer, roasting marshmallows and yelling at porcupines.
The cabin is a cute little space, cozy and clean, but still down to earth with a camp feel. It’s great for a few days of quiet, some sun bathing, fishing, relaxing. The grounds are rustic. There is wildlife in the form of wild turkeys, white tail deer, trout, and that awful porcupine (he only visits late at night to chew on wood.) The spot is about a 10 minute drive from the lovely town of Roscoe. Roscoe has a brewery, a distillery and lots of great fishing spots. The Orvis store has free fishing lessons every weekend! It’s a 5 minute drive to the Red Rose Motel, a great spot for weekend cocktails and food.
The neighborhood is all weekend houses that are seldom in use. You will rarely see a neighbor. Roscoe is a cute town with lots of fishing and a great brewery.

The White Barn Library is one room in the same reconverted barn as the White Barn Sunroom. The morning light from the East comes in the floor to ceiling entire wall of glass, illuminating the garden and field outside. The terra cotta red interior consists of two walls of ceiling to floor bookcases, giving the room a cozy and warm feeling. Masks, textiles and other treasures from my travels decorate the room. The Library is directly off the shared common area kitchen and bathroom.
Summer guests can sit outside with their coffee or tea under the grape arbor pergola to watch the birds and butterflies in the garden, or watch the sunset on the western-facing porch. Breakfast is available in the morning. Any questions you might have on hiking, swimming, etc. I can answer as a 35 year resident of the area.
Fulton Hill Rd. winds through pastures and fields upward from the Callicoon Creek (a renowned trout fishing site) and crosses the top of a long hill, from which you can see distant farms and woodlands. It is said to be one of the prettiest areas around. In the one mile drive to Kenoza Lake, there are about 12 homes sprinkled around the meadows and woods. People here have lived in the same house for generations. I as a homeowner of 35 years am considered a 'newcomer'. Everyone on the road knows one another. It's a good place to live. And visit.
  • You can expect a sincere, good natured host who has plenty of interesting experiences to share. A very quiet, comfortable, and warm room.

  • Beautiful home and warm inviting host

    Mariah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay at Linda's house! She is a great host - super interesting person and she knows lots about the area :) The only problem was we were enjoying our conversation over her freshly cooked pancakes too much and stayed to chat longer than we intended! Her house is full of beautiful and unique art, super cool. If you stay in the sun room at her house, there is a big wood burning stove and plenty of wood. Beds in both rooms are sofa beds - so as other reviews have said, this is a wonderful place to stay, unless your only interest is 5 star luxury. We look forward to coming back!

    Emily2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Linda has a beautiful view from her property and has lived in the area for a long time, so knows a lot of the area. Very close to a lot of the cute hamlets in the area, but very quiet and off the beaten path.

  • My stay at Linda's Exotic Library room was the best stay I've had yet with ABB. Linda was the ultimate host who attended to everything including offering to make me breakfast. Amazing place! Linda's a fine artist and her country place is like a museum of art, artifacts, and decor. Great location with star gazing proximity to Bethel Woods Performance Center (aka original Woodstock location) and close enough to drive to NYC. I was so thrilled and to be there! The library was stocked with great reading which I was so pleased with. This is a place you'll feel completely relaxed and totally welcomed! I'm already planning another trip in May what else can I say? Thanks Linda for a great great experience!!!

    Daniel2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay at Donna's place. I traveled with my two sons, and they enjoyed every minute they spent playing soccer in the garden, feeding the animals and walking around the property. The site is unbeatable -breathtaking scenery and quiet. Makes it the perfect getaway for a weekend (particularly, if you live in the city). The house is very comfortable and has everything you need to cook and make yourself feel at home. Donna even left us a few things to prepare breakfast! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay :)

    Beli2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Donna and Ken are the best hosts. As all the other reviewer mentioned, the place has everything you need. Donna and Ken offered my kid egg picking and calf feeding on the farm. Great farm experience and very warm stay. Highly recommend it.

  • Donna is an amazing host. Her home is so welcoming and cozy. It is located about 20 minutes or so from French Woods Camps. Perfect place to stay on visiting days or camp drop off days. Her home will book up fast. Easy to find, and Donna or Ken are always around to answer any questions. Plus you get to live on a farm. How awesome is that! Can’t wait to stay again.

Our cabin is located on the scenic Delaware River, where the fishing is plentiful. There is river access. The cabin is surrounded by nature and it is a great place to disconnect. The cabin is 20 minutes from Callicoon. Callicoon has some great restaurants and shops. You can keep busy visiting small river towns or totally escape everyday hustle to enjoy the outdoors. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families with accommodations of a full-size futon for children.
  • The stay was what I expected. Tried fishing and enjoying the nature. Would recommend to anyone who wants to be off the grid.

  • Tim and Lisa's place is really great. Quiet and private, but with a lot of green space. Perfect location by the river, which is beautiful. The cabin is very well kept, clean, and fully equipped. Communication and making arrangements was very smooth and easy, and Tim and Lisa made us feel very welcomed. A place to come back to in the future!

  • Beautiful cabin, the photos do not do this place justice. Everything you need. The river is right out your door and the surroundings are woodsy and gorgeous. Tim and Lisa are warm and friendly, wonderful hosts. Highly recommend and hope to return.

The door upstairs opens to the bedroom and then the stairs lead to the kitchen, bathroom and other bedroom. Super comfy bed and BEST sheets ever! COMMUNICATION Easy. Clear. Great! • Great cabin-like bungalow on the Delaware River. Excellent safe swimming right out front in a narrow inlet-like part of the river. (People unfamiliar with this river should take precautions. Children especially should always be accompanied and wear swim vests.) Very relaxing, quiet, somewhat secluded without being remote. Lots of nice trees.

  • Lovely lakeshore hang-out - with views across the water from plentiful windows, and space for (watched) kids to explore on waterfront. Immaculately kept up but still homely and easy to instantly relax into!

  • Upon arriving at Shantiniketan (Peace House), I was relieved and overjoyed to find that it looks as stunning as the photos. Welcoming gifts of champagne, local handmade soap, and a handwritten note were left on the table. Sunetra and Ananda make every effort to make you feel at ease and I really felt the love. The place was sparkling clean and included a well stocked kitchen (blender, crockpot, spices, tea and coffee, plenty of pots and pans), a fireplace with supplied wood pellets, fast wifi, Samsung/Roku TVs in every room, and a lake view to lift your spirits. I enjoyed using the kayak to get some exercise and explore nature (I found Canadian geese nesting with eggs in the middle of Briscoe Lake). Communication was excellent, all my queries were answered within minutes. Nearby Stone Arch Bridge Historical Park has nice walking trails and I enjoyed visiting Diehl Homestead Farm for fresh eggs, steak, honey, maple syrup and Peck's Market for fresh produce from local farms. I was sad to leave, but hopeful to come back again.

  • This cozy house is, hands down, the best Airbnb house we have ever stayed. The house has gorgeous views of the lake, and the interior is cute. We enjoyed eating a lunch in the balcony. Sunetra really cares about her guests, and we found nice gifts, a champagne bottle and organic soap, in the house. Unfortunately there was a problem in the house's water filter during our stay, but Sunetra responded very quickly and thankfully did her best to deal with it. We would definitely love to go back again!

  • This was the perfect, much needed escape to nature and Sunetra was amazing in regards to communicating with us. Such a lovely home with beautiful views and everything one might possibly need. Would love to be back one day!

  • Absolutely phenomenal space! Cannot say enough great things about this little secret getaway. Our first day here we saw so much wildlife (bald eagles primarily), and stargazing from the main floor was priceless. All in all, we will DEFINITELY be returning to this perfect little home in the Catskills

  • This one of the most amazing air bnbs i have ever stayed at. My friends and i had an amazing weekend. There is thorough information on things around and how things worked in the house. The hosts went above and beyond to make my birthday wonderful! The house is just like the pictures and the scenery is amazing! We are looking forward to returning soon!
