This is a furnished private bedroom and private bath ensuite, in my personal home. There is a dorm fridge for storing leftovers or items for simple meals and a microwave for heating TV dinners or maybe leftovers. Coffee pot, coffee, filters , cups and silverware, paper towels, cooking is not allowed. there is central heat and air. a desk and chair. antenna TV and internet are furnished.
This cozy little place I call home is located in Downtown Springfield in an older working class neighborhood with many renovated homes. Our neighborhood is called West Central Neighborhood. This home was built in the very late 1800 and has had several updates. The guest bedroom suite is downstairs with a private bath. Bedroom has a dorm refrigerator, small microwave, coffee pot, filters, cups. There is closet, drawer and work space. Antenatal TV, and internet. The porch with swing is available watching the Birds, Neighbors, or smoking if a guest chooses.
This is an older part of Springfield with much rebuilding and renovation. Very diverse architecture from small bungalows to large victorians. There are three parks in the neighborhood one is the new Route 66 Park on College Street. This neighborhood started a Route 66 Festival several years ago that has grown to a very large event. I am walking distance from Grocery and Drug Store, movie theater and Library, several restaurants and bars and breweries within walking distance in Downtown Springfield

  • What a great place to stay! Much care has been taken to ensure a comfortable experience. Little things like miniature Mr. good bars, Burt bees hand cream, a phone charging station, and many other small touches not to mention the absolute most comfortable bed and pillows all combined to make this a five star destination. The heart and soul of the hosts are reflected from beginning to end! Highly recommend it!

    Bruce2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Had a very beautiful home. Very kind and respectful, very generous. Offered to help me with my car problems as I was leaving, they took it upon themselves to help a complete stranger. Most people aren't good people anymore so it's great to see that good perople still exist. I highly recomend this house to anyone.

Come and stay in a quiet and private apartment on the second floor of our country home. This is a convenient location near Bolivar Missouri that is 1 mile from hwy 13, 4 miles from the hospital, 5 miles from SBU and 25 miles from Springfield. We are 20 minutes from Stockton Lake and 30 minutes from Lake Pomme de Terre with room for boat parking. This is a large three bedroom unit with each room having a king bed with walk-in closet. There is a full kitchen and washer and dryer as well.
Country setting. Feel free to use the fire pit in the back and depending on the season you can pick apples, grapes and blackberries. We have one friendly dog named Tillman. If you or anyone in your group is not comfortable with dogs in general then please let me know and I’ll keep him inside or on a leash.
We are at the back corner of a fantastic country subdivision.
  • Just minutes off the highway, this second-story apartment is a spacious, pristine getaway. Each bedroom is big and roomy and every convenience is provided - from the measuring cups in the kitchen to the family games in the living room. Our family of six (2 adult children and 2 teenagers) had plenty of room to spread out for privacy, and the kitchen and living room were big enough to gather as well. We had a wonderful stay!

    Regina2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great, we really enjoyed staying here! Thank you!!!

    Autumn2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • My family thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It's an apartment attached to main living quarters, but completely separate. The access is through the garage and you'll enjoy 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a TV area and a kitchen for you stay. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and the TV area was inviting to watch a movie of two if you like. We will for sure be back, as our daughter will begin attending SBU in the Fall!

    Corey2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you are going to Bolivar and are staying a few days, Bryan's place is the best bet in town. Close to SBU and the hospital, and yet a quiet, country feel. Bryan was always available and responded to messages quickly. Highly recommended!

This recently-built cozy cottage in the woods (completed in June 2017) is perfect for a couple seeking a romantic getaway, enjoying a honeymoon, or celebrating an anniversary. (The sofa is a full convertible bed, if others plan to share the 400+ sq. ft. space.) Located just off the 16th green of Pomme de Terre's Shadow Lake Golf Course (open year-round, weather permitting) about a mile from the NW shores of beautiful Pomme de Terre Lake, and about 6 miles south of Lucas Oil Speedway.
A peaceful and soothing blue & white theme welcomes you in and invites you to make yourself comfortable. The eclectic mix of furniture and decor adds to the homey feel of the cottage, while abundant windows flood the space with natural light. At night, switch on the mini white lights in the corner trees for romantic ambiance. Bedroom is furnished with a charming full-size canopy bed, and has an extra large window looking out into the wooded area behind the cottage. Linens are 100% cotton for your comfort. The space is climate-controlled by a high-efficiency (and very quiet) ThermoCore heating & air conditioning split unit. Kitchen is fully functional with microwave, refrigerator, induction cooking surface, toaster oven, steamer, and crock pot. There is also a small gas BBQ available upon request for use outside. Coffee and tea station makes preparing those comfort beverages a pleasure. Conspicuously (but intentionally) missing is a TV, but an assortment of books, games, art activities, and puzzles is provided for the guests' enjoyment, and wi-fi is also available.
Caltons Cozy Woodland Cottage is located at the end of the gravel road that runs through the small, quiet subdivision around the local golf course. Most of the lots are vacant, and in fact, there are only about 10 homes total. Wildlife abounds! Shadow Lake Golf Course is a well-maintained, beautiful but casual course with reasonable greens fees ($20-$35 a round, depending on season and day of the week, cart included). A short walk down to the clubhouse will get you started! In addition to golfing, the clubhouse also has a pay-per-game (cheap at 50 cents) pool table and also a dart board. The clubhouse also offers simple snacks, pizza, hamburgers & hot dogs, and a variety of beverages. Pomme de Terre Lake, also known as "Gem of the Ozarks," is within walking distance. It is 12.36 square miles in area, with a shoreline of 113 miles, and is known for its superb fishing and recreational opportunities. State Parks and private marinas around its shoreline offer swimming beaches, launching areas, boat rentals, and more. The closest official swimming spot is Wheatland Park, about 3 miles from the cottage. But really, you can jump in about anywhere! There are several hiking trails in the area if hiking is your passion (or you just want to take a nice walk). One is in the area between the two main "arms" of the lake, one originates right in the town of Wheatland, and our favorite starts in Outlet Park, where the lake becomes the river. All are lovely. Pomme de Terre River, which flows out of the dam that forms the lake, is a serene, and absolutely gorgeous place to float in a kayak or canoe. For more information on how to arrange a float trip, just ask your host! Lucas Oil Speedway is one of the premier dirt-track racing venues in the country, and hosts the "Show-Me 100" each May, as well as the popular drag boat racing events in June and September, in addition to the weekly racing. The track has recently completed additional facilities for off-road truck racing events and boasts a go-cart track that is open during racing events. It is a big-time, incredible facility! Flea markets and thrift stores abound in the area, if shopping for bargains is your passion. We can tell you where they are and how to get there. Quite a few restaurants make their home around the lake area, such as The Harbor (outside eating area right on the lake shore), 254 Cafe, The Crappie Hole, and several others - more complete list provided upon check-in. (Be aware that most restaurants allow smoking. The exception is Our Kitchen Table in Weaubleau.) There is also a bowling alley near Nemo, about a 15-minute drive to the east side of the lake. Bolivar, a 30-minute drive down Hwy 83 to the south, offers a variety of excellent dining choices. (Some of those in the lake vicinity are seasonal and/or keep odd days & hours, so best to call first.) If you prefer a more action-packed vacation, we are about a 45-minute drive from Camdenton and busy Lake of the Ozarks. Miniature golf, water park, go-cart track, lake cruises, and many more activities abound!
  • This place was a GREAT spot for a weekend retreat away from Springfield. Paulette was an excellent host, the house was cozy and quiet, with lots of thoughtful touches. Do pay attention to the driving directions she provides. (With those, I was able to find the house in the dark, no problem.) Would happily stay there again.

    Jorge2020-02-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is amazing! It's so cozy and comfortable, and we loved the view of the woods from the bedroom. Paulette was also an amazing host, making sure we had everything we needed, and she was super accommodating when we came in late for our check-in. My husband and I can't wait to come back!

  • Paulette’s cottage was far better than expected. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

    Brianna2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Paulette was an amazing host! She makes herself very available to her guests, and was very friendly. The cabin itself was great, had all of the needed amenities to cook basic food, the heater unit was definitely useful and worked great. Just a suggestion to make sure you look up the closest available grocery store or things you may need ahead of time, but Paulette was great at answering all our questions. Thanks for the stay!

    Stephanie2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was beyond anything I expected! We had a wonderful stay with very welcoming hosts who would go out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable weekend in the cottage. It was a very peaceful retreat during our two days of watching races at Lucas Oil Speedway.

We loved having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. This allowed my parents to join us for the weekend. The place was exceptionally clean and very well furnished. I would love to stay here again!

  • Awesome host. This was our second stay here. Very clean and accommodating. Braided Danish breakfast adds a special touch!

    Christine2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was a spacious house out in the countryside of MO. We would highly recommend this to someone who wants a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of a town or city.

    Krysta2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The perfect place to stay in Humansville! The beds are super comfortable. We always sleep well when we stay here and waking up is nice too because Vickie leaves you a danish/coffee cake for the morning!

    Charolette2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and spacious. Refrigerator had plenty of bottled water. Coffee available and Hostess Cream Cheese Danish for breakfast. Highly recommend!

    Christine2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Vickie is a great host. Very thought full with small touches. The cabin smelled very Christmasy when we walked in. She had several Christmas decorations our making the cabin very festive for this time of the year. There was a nice danish type dish ready for breakfast waiting for us, coffee, and water bottles in the refrigerator. The cabin was very clean. We will stay again.

    James2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for another great stay! As always clean comfortable and a nice hideaway for some much-needed family time.

    Jennifer2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This places is great. One thing to note: it is well water. To be expected since it is out in the country, but worthy of noting nonetheless! Vickie left some water for us to use/drink which was so super thoughtful. The house is huge for the price and (although we didn’t meet them in person) the hosts are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will certainly be back here next time we are in town!

    Charolette2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This our second time here. This is a really nice place. The hosts go above and beyond to make it a nice time for their guests. They have always left us a breakfast danish, candy, coffee and bottled water. The house is fully equipped and neat as a pin. The location is out in the country but is perfect for us. We walked down the pretty country roads early in the mornings and saw plenty of deer. We will continue to come back as long as they will have us😊

If you are looking for a little peace and quiet come stay at our little Farmhouse. The Farmhouse is located on 100+acres in Polk County MO and has 1/2 mile of river frontage. In this two bedroom house you will be surrounded by hayfields and cattle with a path that leads you to the Sac River. Bring your fishing poles and enjoy all this property has to offer.
This modest two bedroom one bath house has everything you will need for a comfortable stay.
The river is the biggest draw, relaxing, floating (when the water is high enough), fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. We are also located 3 miles from the Frisco Highline Trail.
  • My friend and I are traveling therapists who stayed in the farmhouse for 4 months. We were so happy to meet Christy and Dexter, they were wonderful hosts and really great people in general! The location is quiet and serene with wonderful views of wildlife and farm animals. The peaceful setting is really enjoyable. We really hope to return to this fantastic Airbnb someday soon!

    Kayla2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Christy's Farmhouse, the peace and quiet, the country views and the wildlife. The Farmhouse had everything we needed-we cooked our dinners there the entire stay. The fire pit and S'mores were an added bonus! The home was very clean and tidy.

    Valerie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • I was on a roadtrip from Salt Lake City, UT to Washington DC. Since the distance between these cities is 2,080 miles, I planned to stop along the way...but where? As luck or joy would have it, I found this lovely farmhouse by the river in the middle of Missouri. It looked like a perfect, quiet retreat to rest for a day after 24hrs of driving. Little did I expect that I totally hit the jackpot of joy when I arrived at 1030pm at night. I was greeted by the most thoughtful host Christy . She not only stayed up late to welcome me, but she baked a delicious strawberry pie, saved some dinner in the fridge in case I missed dinner and a wonderful bottle of a local wine. Talk about southern hospitality! The next morning on my walk, I was greeted be the sounds of crickets, wild turkey, cows, and other wildlife. The scenic sunrise on this 100 acre farm was like a magical painting of calm and peace. Just the place to get away from the noise and hustle. I was so inspired by the beauty and peacefulness of this place that I forgot I had been on the road for the last 2 days. It was exactly the recharge I needed and overflowing with joy. Christy came over in the morning to take me on a personal tour of the property including the nearby river to wade in, the baby cows just born, and all the lush land. That afternoon I refilled my energy and joy tank by riding around taking photos of the beauty around me. I met her husband Dexter and had a wonderful conversation with him. Later that evening I get a message from Christy  asking if I would like some dinner she made. Within 15 minutes she brought it over. I am still in awe that 7 days ago, I had no ideas I would experience such a place of peaceful beauty and such kind, thoughtful, generous hosts like Christy and Dexter. Such a true gift to receive joy like this! I would come back and stay hear in a heartbeat!

    Yasmin2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great get away for me and my wife, with amazing views and the quietness of the country life. We will be returning

    Tyler2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Dexter and Christy’s place was amazing! When we arrived she greeted us and gave us a tour of the property. She had a bottle of wine waiting for us and even accommodated for our dogs (bed, blanket, and toys) which was super thoughtful! They also allow you to rent canoes and a 4 wheeler! The home was beautiful and it was lovely to go outside and see the cows! We also enjoyed the fire at night. She even provided stuff for s’mores! The home is perfect for getting away if you want some peace and quiet. We were only looking for a place to lay our head at night but we ended up staying at the house more than we went out! It’s just the perfect atmosphere. We definitely recommend and will be back!

    Trista2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Christy & Dexter, Our family had a wonderful stay at your farmhouse! It was a perfect fit for our family of five. Even our dog had a blast! We loved floating down and fishing in the creek and we even caught a couple fish for dinner one night! We enjoyed watching the cows and visiting with the horse. The fire pit is in a great spot and the s'mores were delicious! And the strawberry pie was fantastic! It was nice that Springfield was not too far away so we could go downtown and see a movie with the kids. Thanks for everything! The Rose Family

We are located in a quiet neighborhood only 15 minutes from Springfield international airport, 20 minutes from Stockton Lake for fishing boating and recreational beaches also 30 minutes from world-renowned Bass Pro Shops. You can get to Branson Missouri in 45-65 minutes take in the show or cruise Branson Belle or visit Silver Dollar City. then come back to your quaint cottage and relax and rest for the rest of the evening. You can see Nathan boone cabin and explore local history
It was built in 2005 for my shop as i do woodwork, but we turned it into mother in law quartes to make a safee place for my mother in law in 2011 and finished in 2012 all the appliances are like new all the Furnishings are either new or like-new very clean nice and quiet
It's a Small Town 1,400 people very quaint and peaceful everybody waves to each other. grocery store and food are a couple blocks away, city park with walking track, pool, swings, and playground for the kids I block away. We have a mexican restaurant moma locas 2 blocks away, chineese restaurant joy wok, and home style cooking at the copper grill both by the grocery store 2 blocks away. Also we have several antique stores in town.
  • The guest house was very clean and comfortable! There were plenty of pots and pans for us to cook with, and the temperature control was simple to use whenever we got chilly or warm. There are a couple (adorable) beagles that play and bark in the yard often, so keep that in mind if you prefer your days to be quiet. The location is far from the city, but there is a grocery store a block away and we had all we needed for a getaway week. We will definitely consider this location on our next trip to the area!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The place is beautiful. We hope to come back in the Spring to enjoy the pergola and the Koi pond. This was a last minute booking and they responded quickly and check in was easy. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We hope to stay again.

  • We are repeat visitors to Ash Grove Zen, and Rick and Linda time after time provide wonderful hospitality. Every time we visit we are reminded of the quality furnishings and finishes of the cottage. Every time everything is clean as a whistle. Every time we enjoy the thoughtful design of the cottage. Every time we enjoy being close to the city park and home town grocery store. We will be back!

    Rebecca2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing. Sweet. Charming. Comfortable.

    Rebekah2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have family in the area, and we schedule a stay at our little piece of Zen every time we are visiting that it is available. We also book other Airbnbs often when we travel. This cottage is clean as a whistle, conveniently located, quality furnishings, spacious... THE BEST of what Airbnb can be.

    Rebecca2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful guest house. Good wifi (speed 6.5 Mbps; Latency, unloaded 71 ms, loaded 485 ms; upload speed 470 Kbps). I was also able to get an ok Tmobile connection - fine for phone calls and ok, but not great, for internet (1.6 Mbps; Latency unloaded 105 ms, loaded 687 ms; upload speed, 990 Kbps). There is a small basketball court 2 blocks away and another a few miles away. The train whistles were loud and woke me up the first night several times but I ran a loud fan in the room future nights and didn't have a problem after that. Ash Grove is a nice small town escape with several places to eat and 15-30 min away are several other good eating options.

The Co-Op Studio is a quaint "off the grid" stay with modern decor. The repurposed shipping containers are well insulated and create the perfect bunk with all the essentials you could need. Though the inside may be small, the outdoor living space has ample room to roam, play, cook, and enjoy.
For sleeping, the couch is a "futon" style and folds down. We have all the necessary sheets/blankets/ bedding for it which we will leave in the room. If you would like the couch turned down to the bed so you can just crash when you get here please let us know in advance.
Pleasant Hope is a quaint little town 15 miles from Springfield. Its about a 25 minute drive if you need to run into town for anything. Pleasant Hope is a 5 minute drive and it does have a well stocked gas station/convenient store/grocery store as well as a Dollar General. But keep in mind that its a small town and just about everything closes up around 6 pm.
  • Amazingly peaceful and serene atmosphere. I was traveling alone and felt completely safe here. The location, room and amenities were perfect for a retreat.

    Emily2018-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in hands down. The host was so friendly and showed us around, and the space was so cute. Will definitely be back!

  • It was the PERFECT getaway from the busyness of life. Upon arrival We're getting ready for bed now. We love you!we were greeted by the sweetest dog. And our room was spotless! The pillows were the perfect consistency. I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the coffee pot in the morning, but that didn’t impead our stay at all. The land is beautiful and I think it will be our official spot to stay in Springfield!

    Dulcinea2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Container glamping was a first for us, but it was wonderfully peaceful and a cool experience. The hosts were helpful and not overbearing. It was a great place to catch some zzz's before the next leg of our trip.

    Becca2017-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was more beautiful than the pictures! So glad we stayed here instead of the hotels nearby! Thanks for letting us stay at your beautiful property and thanks so much for helping us out with directions, hope we can make it down again!

    Tricia2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome place to stay & a quick drive from Springfield. After a long day on the road, it brought a huge smile to my face to walk into the super charming & cozy room. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio and watching the sun rise the next morning was great!

    Mikayla2017-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was a fantastic place to stay. It was so peaceful and relaxing after being on the road for 12 hours. The host, Lacy, was nice enough to upgrade me to the larger tiny home for free. I will definitely be staying here again.

    Kristina2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • It's unbelievable, but true: the Settlement is even better than the pictures! It's designed primarily for weddings, but it works wonderfully as a peaceful retreat, too. We were upgraded to the larger room, but I peeked inside of this room, and both rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished. My favorite part, however, was the outdoor lounging area. I almost fell asleep outside, catching glimpses of the stars between the barn rafters and listening to the sheep and goats bleating their goodnights. If you like camping and tiny houses, this place is for you! You'll have an air conditioned room to sleep in (the couch folds back into a bed about the size of a twin) plus a great firepit area and a cute farm to explore. The sink and toilet (a portable one) are outdoors, so if it's raining, bring your umbrella. There isn't a shower, but Lacy generously offered to let us use theirs. Dustin and Lacy were so hospitable. They had soaked oats waiting for us in the fridge, and freshly made coffee on our doorstep in the morning. If we're ever through Springfield again, we'd love to stay here again! Thank you, Stewarts!!

A little piece of Country in town, location in University Heights. One of the better areas of Springfield near Bass Pro Shop, 6.8 miles from the airport, 1.0 mi from Mercy Hospital. University Plaza Convention Center, Tower Club,MSU, OTC, Evangel University, Assemblies Of God World Headquarters, Drury University,Springfield Art Museum,The Historic Gilloiz Theater. Just 2 miles to downtown Springfield dining, shopping, theaters and nightclubs.
This home was built in 1920, so it has all the charm of an old house and some quirkiness that people like about Airbnb. Don’t be to critical please!I I’m doing some renovations on occasion, but nothing to major, just painting mostly. The room is very basic and simple full size bed.central air blows hard in this room, very warm in winter and cool in the summer. Cieling fan is very strong and quiet. The wood floor is unfinished, I pulled the carpet out, so it looks little rough, but it is clean. There's a deck out back to relax with a glass of wine, or if you want to smoke. A fire pit out back and a pile of wood, Cat Therapy, I have 5 cats! enjoy the church bells that ring at the top of the hour from the church across the street. Very quiet homey place to get a good night sleep. And a great value.traveling Medical Pro’s love it here.
The Phelps Grove area is very charming with many interesting vintage homes, and Phelps Grove Park is right around the corner as well as The Springfield Art Museum.

Home is smart integrated with Alexa, so you needn’t bother even using the light switches. We offer you WiFi, DirecTV Select cable, Disney+, Netflix, Amazon/Prime, and Karaoke in main room! In response to recent international health concerns, we’ve also moved to more assertive detergents, and we are sanitizing air with a commercial ozone cleaner between stays (given we have ample time to let ozone particles breakdown before next guest arrival). Lots of space for you to relax in.
A very spacious floor plan, perfect for relaxing and having a great time.
We have a wonderful established, quiet neighborhood. It is in characteristic fashion with most neighborhoods in the North Springfield territory.

  • When we came there was actually a pretty big thunderstorm coming in with heavy rains so staying in the tent was a bit of a worry. After expressing my concerns, they were heard and we actually used a separate room that they have that’s equally as cool and unique! All furniture and amenities are both attractive and useful. Definitely would like to come back and actually stay in the tent! Super cute place- walking distance from cute little animals that are on the land or you can just hang out on the amazing patio that they’ve created.

Updated 1890’s home. This second floor apartment is quaint and cozy. Kitchenette includes fridge, convection oven and hot plate, and microwave. Please note the bathroom has the tiniest tub/shower - it is hashtag worthy! The backyard is shared with a second AirBNB and the owner. It has a great patio and fire pit. The apartment shares the entrance with the other AirBNB but is totally private, with locking doors. Close to downtown, Bass Pro, and MSU.
This apartment is built into the dormers of this 1890s home. Very cute and cozy. Your apartment is private, however you do share an entrance with a second Airbnb on the second floor.
This is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Springfield. The houses have a lot of charm. Many of them are being renovated. It’s close to downtown and many great restaurants.
  • We had a great stay! The apartment is really nice for a budget stay in Springfield and is very centrally located!

    Felicia2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • The host for this listing is wonderful. She gave very helpful, detailed directions for check-in and was quick to respond. She was kind and welcoming. The listing is described accurately, and there were many nice little touches like coffee, breakfast snacks, and toiletries. The living room furniture was nice to look at but not very comfortable to relax on. The beds were okay, and the tiny tub was as advertised! :-) The steps up to the unit were icy, but of course that's not a normal occurrence. The neighborhood was kind of rundown, but we didn't feel unsafe. Overall, I think this is a great host and a good place to stay for a reasonable price.

    Amy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amy’s place is amazing. It’s so cute and the tiny tub is oddly comforting. I’ve never sat in a waterfall to shave my legs, but I assume that is exactly the same feeling! It was perfect for my son and I and felt very large, even though it’s cozy.

Bring your own food for grilling and use the community kitchen for a feast. For sleeping, there is a queen size bed, the couch is a "futon" style and folds down into a full size bed. We have all the necessary sheets/blankets/ bedding available if the couch is needed. All bedding is stored under the bed.
Pleasant Hope is a quaint little town. Its about a 25 minute drive from Springfield if you need to run into town for anything. Pleasant Hope is a 5 minute drive and while it does have a well stocked gas station/convenient store/grocery store as well as a Dollar General, keep in mind that its a small town and just about everything closes up around 6 pm.
  • I loved this space. The stars, frogs, sweet dog at our doorstep, sound of the rain- all beautiful and homey. We hope to be back again!

  • We had a great time there! Everything was very clean and the place was fun to explore.

  • SO INCREDIBLE. Amazing location (I felt like I was in Colorado), many outdoor opportunities, so secluded, and so aesthetic. Such kind people who are blessing others by sharing their beautiful space. I’m also a wedding photographer, and think it’s a great option as a venue, too. Such an amazing property for photos, and would be incredibly beautiful!!

    Courtney2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful! Definitely will try to make it back in the summer. We expected it to be pretty cold in a metal box in the start of winter and it sure was. But it was still a great stay and would recommend :)

    Hannah2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a fun, unique experience that was filled so many extras! We are coming back for a few more days next time because we loved it so much. We brought outdoor games to set up, visited all the farm animals, set up our hammock, hiked around their beautiful land, made great food with their grill and in the communal kitchen, and sat out by the stars at night! Too many good things to say!

    Christa2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous space - inside and out! My husband and I loved our stay, and spent most nights outside around a fire. We were a bit frazzled heading up to check in because of some unexpected events at our home that morning, but they were very kind and patient with us while our schedule was a bit up in the air. I can’t recommend staying here enough - it was a really fantastic get away! Missing the relaxing nights around a fire already! Absolutely a MUST stay!

  • The Stewart Settlement is a great place to unwind and unplug with a loved one. You can also have great adventures with the trails and animals.

    Caitlyn2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • I'll admit that I booked this spot on the novelty of staying in a shopping container, but I was surprised at how much tranquility I experienced at the Stewart Settlement. This place o Is oThe unit is beautiful on the inside and the proprietor provided a few thoughtful touches including a record player (and records) and fresh eggs for breakfast. They were flexible with our check in time when we arrived late at night after a long day of driving. Be aware that this place is in the country. According to the owner, the only cell provider that works is Verizon. There is no bathroom in the unit. There is an outdoor shower down the path and a port a potty next door. We experienced a beautiful storm while we stayed and the raindrops on the metal roof were very noisy. it was a wonderful stay and we look forward to visiting again.

This is a historic home (1895) in an up and coming neighborhood. Private entrance. Access to outdoor patio and fire pit. The neighbors run an urban garden so you can get local grown food from their packing shed. Walking distance to downtown. (Owner has bikes upon request.) This is a private home with two separate apartments on the second floor. The owner is on site to assist you with any needs.
You can enter the apartment from the back of the house by going through the privacy fence side gate to the right of the back door and up the stairs. Once you enter the house, you will go up another 1/2 flight and your apartment is the door on the left.
You are only a few minutes walk or Uber from downtown. Many great restaurants and coffee shops to visit during your stay.
  • We were having troubles with the keypad to get in and Amy responded right away! Place was very clean and had a great amount of privacy. The stairs were a little rickety as previous reviews had mentioned but I wasn’t worried about my safety at all upon discovery. Very close to downtown shops and restaurants, we walked to almost every destination!

  • Stopped here for a night on the way to Arizona and it was just what we needed. The mother in-law quarters in the basement is finished very nicely with plenty of room! If staying longer than a night I could see this being a great place for a young family. Directions were very clear and Joanne was very accommodating, especially with my pet. Great location from the highways as well.

This romantic Victorian cottage is like stepping back in time to a quieter, more gracious lifestyle, but with lovely modern amenities. We are located just 2 1/2 blocks from Springfield's popular C Street with it's unique restaurants, tea rooms, boutiques, antique stores, farmer's market and other one-of-a kind shops. If you are coming to Springfield for a graduation or wedding, etc. and want a beautiful place to have a family gathering nothing could be more perfect than this charming home.
I have owned this beautiful 113 year old cottage for 25 years and tried to take good care of her while dressing her in my preferred Victorian style. As with most older homes she does have a few floor squeaks and other quirky imperfections, however these can not overcome the charm found here. This home has welcomed a host of friends and family members for holiday dinners, birthday, anniversary, or graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, tea parties, garden clubs, prayer groups, office meetings and other events. A couple of years ago I met and married the love of my life and moved into his home. I and my extended family cherish this sweet home and we are pleased to share this treasure for your convenience and pleasure when you visit Springfield. We hope you will love her and make beautiful memories here, as we have.
We are within easy walking distance to The General Council of the Assemblies of God, Book of Hope, Africa's Hope and Convoy of Hope. Cox North Hospital Emergency services and Cox College/Burge School of Nursing are half a block away. Jordan Valley Community Health Center, Cox Medical Tower and several pharmacies are very close. Tea rooms, coffee shops, local eateries, unique boutiques and antique shopping are available two blocks away on historic C-Street. Missouri State University, Drury, Ozarks Technical College, Evangel University, AGTS, Baptist Bible College and Global University are near. We are within 20 minutes or less driving distance to other attractions such as Bass Pro, Wonders of Wildlife, Hammond's Field Ballpark, Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, the soon coming Big shots golf driving range and most other popular entertainment, dining and shopping venues in our lovely city.
  • A wonderful place to stay. Highly recommended!

  • Perfect home layout for that relaxing cup of tea. My 15yr old daughter really loves this house, clean, roomy and one of the best layouts of victorian living I've seen. Private, safe locations with everything you need to accommodate. Bonnie was warm in meet and takes pride in her home. Great stay!

    Jay2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Bonnie's house, the Tea Rose Cottage, is comfortable and so charming! I stayed 16 days as one of her first AirBnB guests and hope to stay again. The house is a delightful 100+ yo Victorian that Bonnie spent 20+ years putting together. There were so many interesting decorative items that I was still discovering and enjoying some on the 15th day of my visit. I think that was the day I found the wreath on the front door decorated with tiny teapots and roses! Not only is Bonnie's house beautiful, but it's full of light with high ceilings and plenty of windows - even with that it has central heat/air and was warm on cold windy days. The house has 2 large bedrooms with comfortable beds; 2 sitting rooms (one comfortable family room and one beautiful "parlor"), 2 baths, plenty of space for guests' belongings in large closets and drawers; a fully equipped kitchen; huge dining room and breakfast/casual dining area off the kitchen; plus if the weather is warm - 2 outside areas to enjoy including a wrap around front porch with a swing and a back deck with rattan furniture. I stayed over Christmas and New Year's holidays. Bonnie had decorated for the holidays, so I had a Christmas tree, Christmas dishes for the dining room, etc. I entertained my local family members there a few times during my stay. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their visit and marveled over the house. No problem to cook and serve a formal meal... or a casual breakfast. Bonnie was very responsive, usually getting back to me in just a few minutes. She asked if there was anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable, and it turned up on the back porch the next day. I've stayed in over 160 guesthouses, BnB's, inns, Posada's, Quinta's etc. over the past 3 years. Bonnie's was one of my favorites. As I pulled out of the driveway the last morning I was still marveling over the house's paint job! Bonnie, thanks for the wonderful house and all the time, effort and love you put into creating it; the quick responses, especially when I locked myself out that cold morning!; and for listening to my suggestions and then adding those few items to make me and your future guests more comfortable. Best, Deb

  • What a cute and wonderful little house this is. I realize not everyone is aware of what the north side of Springfield and C-Street has to offer. We had an amazing weekend and this little house was more than we could have expected. 2 bathrooms in a 2 bedroom is a HUGE plus. It was clean and offered everything we needed. Super easy check in. 2 blocks from everything C-Street has to offer. I highly recommend this house. You can't beat the value and location.

Fantastic location and John was great with communicating with us about check-in and was readily available if needed.

    Cory2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great private location close to the college. The owners gave me my privacy but quickly responded with anything I needed. No real complaints except that the shower is pretty small but it is a tiny house so I guess I should have expected that. I loved that there was private parking in back of the house. This is a great Airbnb. I wish I was visiting in the spring when the garden is all in bloom because the landscaping is very nice so I’m sure it’s fantastic in the spring.

  • Phyllis is promptly responsive but not at all intrusive- just the right balance of being interpersonal and professional. The unit I stayed in is not a 5 star hotel, but for the money, you are getting the utmost bang for the buck. Also, if you’re like me and don’t particularly like shiny new developments anyhow (regardless of money), you will appreciate the older building’s character, basic necessities, with plenty of space and privacy, while having an authentic Springfield style about it and walking distance (or what I consider walking distance— .5 to 1 mile) to downtown attractions. I’m a Springfield native, and can 100% guarantee you’re getting the best deal at this unit and that the host, Phyllis, is very honest and responsive.

Our loft is within a couple of blocks from Tie and Timber, Cherry Pickers, Tea Bar and Bites (lunch tea room) and Imos Pizza...and half of a mile from many activities including the Springfield Art Museum (free); Phelps Grove Park (which includes playground equipment, 2 tennis courts and a running trail)...2 grocery stores; Automatic car wash; Thrift store; Asian Food Market; Missouri State University; post office; and Bambino's Italian Restaurant
  • We loved this loft apartment so much, we came back. There are fun places to eat in the neighborhood, and the apartment is immaculately clean! The small kitchen is well stocked for simple cooking if you want to eat in, and Amy provided a wonderful assortment of teas, coffees, and even oatmeal ready to use.

  • Very nice space , quiet neighborhood. Great location close to restaurants and good coffee shops.

  • My best friend and I wanted a little space to stay for our girls-night-in and this was just perfect! We were ooo-ing and ah-ing from the moment we entered the neighborhood! Everything was so cute and quaint and comfortable. The bed was great, the pillows provided were more than sufficient! The TV was a wonderful size for watching movies, the Keurig and little snacks were also a wonderful touch! If I ever need to stay the night in Springfield again, I will most certainly book this place (if available) again!

    Emily2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The space is stylish and has all the amenities and toiletries you could need and then some. The location is ideal in that it is centrally located in town but not too close to all the hustle and bustle. The neighborhood itself is one you could definitely enjoy a beautiful long stroll in and has wonderful local food and drink locations within walking distance. Amy's communication was timely and there was plenty of information provided within the space as well. Also her dog was so sweet and well behaved.

  • Our stay at Amy’s place was great! The space was decorated nice and very clean!

  • Wow, if you are planning on a stay in Springfield, you should seriously consider staying here. The garage apartment is well appointed and friendly. The location is wonderful. It is close to downtown and many amenities. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to stay again should we be driving through Springfield. Amy and her husband were very friendly and helpful.

  • Amy’s loft is so neat! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying there again!

Just 2 city blocks from Bass Pro Shop, 6.8 miles from Springfield Airport, 1 mile from MSU, If you’re a travel nurse this is easy street.Mercy Hospital. The Springfield Art Museum Also within a few miles is The Historic Gilloiz Theater, Shrine Mosque, Historic Walnut Street,Assemblies Of God World Headquarters. This is the upstairs bedroom with a queen size bed. Also the soothing sounds of the church bells from the church across the street add a nostalgic feel. perfect for traveling Med Pro’s.
Cozy quiet room with queen bed, there’s a little AC window unit in the room for added comfort in the Summertime. This house should not be booked if you don’t like old homes. Also wood floors are not finished , they are clean though. I recently pulled the carpet out. The shower is across the hall. A very steep staircase, not suitable for disabled. Nothing fancy , Shabby Chic’ is a good description. The house is clean. No washer dryer access. Unless you don’t mind a musty old basement . Also the stairs are creaky in spots, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring some ear plugs.
This neighborhood has many unique vintage homes, no cookie cutter homes, all very quaint and interesting. Springfield Art Museum is just around the corner from the house @ Phelps Grove Park. Listen to the beautiful sound of church bells every hour from 8-8 from the church across the street!!
  • Perfect place for travelers and visitors to Springfield. We appreciated our stay at Laura’s!

  • Laura and her place were amazing. I stayed there for about a month and I never had any complaints. If I had any issues during my stay, Laura tended to those promptly. Her cats were also very nice. Best part of my day was coming back and seeing her cats waiting outside the door for me to let them in. Great place, great host, great location, great price. 10/10 would recommend.

    Karan2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Laura is a great host! I had an amazing time in Springfield and it was very close to campus. Would come again!

    Javi2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • I paid $19.00 per night. Was I expecting a $65.00 a night airbnb for $19.00 a night? No, I paid $19.00 a night and got more than my money’s worth. Let’s put this in perspective. I want to go see the new terminator movie this weekend. The movie ticket is $10.50, and popcorn & soda are about 14.50 for a total of $24.50. I stayed in her house, in a clean room. All for less than the cost of a movie. Laura was a great host who loves cats and horses. “I'll be back” PS. The cats are great, ask her for some treats to feed them and you will be there favorite person.
