Enjoy ski-in ski-out to groomed trails, bike-in bike-out right onto trails, then cozy up by the woodstove or fire-pit at night.

Nestled in 5+ wooded acres on a private road, the Wolf Den is a secluded cabin just 13 miles from Hayward. 2500 sq ft with 3 Bedrooms and 2 full baths. Main Level has fully equipped Kitchen, Dining Room, Living Room, 2 Bedrooms, Full Bath, and 4 season Sun Porch. Upper Level features Master Bedroom /Bath and large Loft Area for games and entertainment. It's on 40 private, tranquil acres (no neighbors!) with great access to all the Hayward-Cable area has to offer. It's small - intended for two adults, with the option of 2 addtl kids. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Sit on the patio and watch the lake, loons and geese. Bring your boat or rent one and go fishing, or just fish from the dock. We have excellent restaurants near, or grill something on the gas grill. We have some puzzles and games for those rainy days, and lots of books. We have internet and a cell phone booster to keep you connected if needed. If you want to explore downtown Hayward with its unique shops, it is a short drive (18 minutes).

The Birkebeiner cross country ski trail and scores of other mountain biking, hiking, and snowmobiling trails are close by plus other public recreation opportunities (hunting, snowshoeing, bird watching, etc) abound in the nearby National Forest lands. Several other lakes, including Lake Namekagon and Lake Owen, are nearby for your boating and fishing pleasure.
