Memento Vivere means "Remember you have to Live" and this 126 year old house was completely brought back to life by its owners with modern amenities and a cozy atmosphere, all the while preserving its charm. This 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of life. Quiet log cabin and remote location great for relaxing and getting away. 1 hour drive of Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. 40 min from Mason City, 8 mi. from Osage, IA. 9 mi. from lake Hendricks in Riceville, IA where there is great fishing, beach swimming and river canoeing available! Lots of wildlife to observe and housebroke pets welcome. Fire pit, sauna, large deck for grilling. Longer stays most welcomed. Putting green, so bring putter and chipping wedge. Archery target for field tip arrows.

Moose Haus Lodge

This barn refinished into a rustic cabin will give you the feeling that you are in the middle of the woods while having the convenience of being in town. Located just minutes from downtown Clear Lake, the historic Surf Ballroom, and City Beach, this is the perfect get-away spot! A large upper loft makes this a great option for families with kids or a peaceful adult retreat. Pets are family... so we are pet friendly, but do add a $25 dollar pet fee (per pet) for the duration of your stay.

Watts Theatre Apartment Over Main

This Apartment was lived in by owners/builders of Watts Theatre. Mr. Watts was rumored to be acquaintances with Frank Lloyd Wright who was involved in the planning of the building. You will see many of his features including wide sweeping curves thus eliminating many 90 degree angles. While you stay enjoy watching the movie from your own Private Viewing Space in the second bedroom. There are shows on Fridays and Saturdays at 7pm and Sundays at 4pm check out our website for specifics.

The Clausen House-Historic home close to the Lake

The Clausen House has been where families have been creating memories since 2018. If you need additional space check out the Schoolhouse vacation rental located on the same property. The Clausen House was built in 1890 and is a great place for large family Gatherings It has been updated with 3 renovated bathrooms, kitchen & laundry room. It has ten foot ceilings on the main floor with beautiful original finished woodwork. Close to downtown and the Lake with only a short walk!

Welcome to the Clear Lake Escape! One block off the water, this home is the perfect spot to enjoy with friends/family! The home consists of 4 bedrooms (2 King & 2 Queen), + 2 sleeper sofas to COMFORTABLY SLEEP 12. (if you'd like to have over 12 guests, please contact us and we are open to accomodating requests for an additional fee- we do have a crib provided as well). There is room for a boat trailer in the driveway!
