Opende is located in the Friese Wouden. The Airbnb is on our property on the border of Groningen and Friesland. Hiking and biking are possible in the nearby nature reserves Alde Feanen, Bakkeveen, Beetsterzwaag and Lauwersmeer. A day trip to Ameland or Schiermonnikoog is also easy to do. Culture can be found in Groningen, Leeuwarden and Heerenveen (about 25 min). Surhuisterveen is about 2 km away and has a shopping center with supermarkets, restaurants and all kinds of shops. You must arrange breakfast yourself.

Walden is located in the middle of the unique coulissen landscape of the Frisian woods. Trees, hedges and wooded borders surround the meadows. With grasslands, water, and patches of forest in between. It looks cozy, those grasslands among the trees. Smûk, we say in Frisian. As many as 250 species of birds and many other animals live here. The area also received pingos as a gift from the Ice Age. Located in the middle of 2 national parks: Lauwersmeer and the Alde Feannen. Ideal cycling and hiking area.

The Landscape

In this luxurious spacious home, you will experience rural life at its best! With a magnificent view over the countryside in the characteristic landscape of the Frisian Forests, it is wonderful to relax. Even from your bed, you can enjoy the great views and a beautiful sunrise. Who knows, you might spot deer, cows, birds and hares in the meadow. Enjoy the alpacas in the yard. The Landzicht is a great starting point to explore the area. Located near nature reserves, Drachten and the A7.

Wake up in the last century at the Marthahoeve!

Back in time with the comfort of today. And you sleep in one of the three bedsteads! There is underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. You have your own entrance and you can also use a seat under a centuries-old linden tree. The cottage has a kitchen/entrance. A living room and a shower/toilet room. Breakfast is available for 13 euros pp. Please note: the bedsteads are smaller than a double bed. The 2 bedsteads in the room are 200x115 and the bedstead in the kitchen is 190x120

Pipo wagon Friesland

This cozy Pipo wagon is located on our rural property, in the middle of the Frisian landscape. From the carriage and from the terrace, you can look out over the meadows and enjoy the peace and space around you. The Pipo wagon is a cozy and comfortable place for two people. You have everything at hand for a relaxing stay: a comfortable bed, a private bathroom, a kitchen and, of course, a nice place to sit outside. From here, you can take beautiful cycling and hiking trips.

Then you are in the right place at our vacation home "Suyder-End", a nice place in the middle of the coulisse landscape on the border of Groningen and Friesland. A nice vacation home to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature. You can enjoy cycling and hiking here. Also a base for a day of Wadden or a day in the city, for example Groningen or Dokkum

Cottage by the pond

Looking for a nice place to relax and unwind? This cottage is located on a pond overlooking meadows. The cottage has its own entrance, coffee and Senseo , kitchen, and terrace. The cottage has a wood-fired sauna with color therapy and a wood-burning stove. The bedroom is located upstairs. This is 1 large space with two single beds and one double bed. The cottage overlooks a pond and pastures where horses, goats, chickens and ducks stay.

Situated on a quiet private road, you will enjoy complete privacy and a nice terrace with lounge chairs. The cozy accommodation has a new kitchen and bathroom, underfloor heating and air conditioning (cooling/heating). A complete base for up to 5 people and a baby. Come here and relax! 🫶
