The inn is a two-story, detached house with a courtyard built in the Edo period, located in the center of the Takehara Townscape Preservation District (a nationally important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings), a 13-minute walk from JR Takehara Station and a 20-minute drive from Hiroshima Airport. There are almost no people in the morning and evening, and you can spend a quiet time as if you have traveled back in time to an Edo period town. The spacious free space on the second floor is a large space with luxurious ceiling beams and a view of the streets of the town from the windows. From the room facing the courtyard on the second floor, you can see Fumeyakaku, a landmark of Takehara. In a space that has been artistically renovated with organic materials, you can enjoy unique art in various places. The bath is particularly special, with a hand-made ceramic bathtub by a craftsman from Yamagata prefecture, painted by the artist owner. The walls are plastered with a round finish and have art by Horro. The floor is covered with vibrant blue tiles from Awaji Island. The walls are plastered with Hiroshima oyster shells. Because it is close to the Shinkansen, there is noise and vibration every time it passes. It may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to sound. (It is quiet because it does not operate from 11:40 pm to 6:20 am) If you are staying with 2 people, you can have separate bedrooms. Or you can combine two single beds to make a double bed. Our house is furnished 'natsukashii' nostalgic style, in the 'inaka' Japanese countryside, conveniently located in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido island chain. 7-minute drive to Oyamazumi Shrine. 7-minute drive to Tatara Bridge (to Ikuchijima). 10-minute drive to Ōmishima Bridge (to Hakatajima). 7-minute walk to Idahachiman Shrine. 10-minute walk to the beach.

Near-by sightseeing spots: Mt.Kurotaki, Kaguya-hime museum, Preservation district of important historical buildings in Takehara city. Optional dinner is available at cafe area with extra charge. We are sorry but you will hear the noise from the cafe from 8am -11pm.
