Pure Japanese style traditional House Entire house
This is one of the few remaining traditional Japanese-style buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war, in the Shoin-zukuri architectural style. It is a quiet environment just a step away from the main street, and there is a small Japanese-style garden where you can relax. There are also items that can only be found in the Mai House, such as a vase that partially melted from the heat of the Hiroshima atomic bomb on August 6, 1945, and photographs from about 100 years ago. The fixtures and glass panes date back more than 70 years, and the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house is particularly evident in features such as the two gardens, the alcove, and the study. Currently, these items can only be obtained by placing orders with a limited number of artisans. Of the 5 rooms, 3 are tatami mat rooms, so please lay a futon on the tatami mat when you go to bed. Located in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, you can get there on a single city train. About 20 minutes from the nearest tram stop ① to Hiroshima Station From the nearest station/stop ②, it takes about 20–30 minutes to get to the Peace Memorial Park, the Atomic Bomb Dome, and the city center. The taxi ride takes about 10 minutes. There is a large shopping mall, Youme Town Hiroshima, which offers everything for daily life, as well as convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart), restaurants (okonomiyaki, ramen, sushi, yakiniku, waffles, bakery, etc.), all within walking distance.

Traditional Japanese house Walking distance to the Atomic Bomb Dome
It is a wooden house built around 1954 (Showa 29). It is a building that has been carefully used while retaining the atmosphere of that time. It has hardly been renovated, so there are some inconveniences, but I hope you can make memories in Hiroshima while imagining life at that time. You will have the whole building to yourself. On the first floor, there is a kitchen, a bathroom, and a toilet. The other rooms are the landlord's storage spaces. The second floor is the guest bedrooms. Guests can use the kitchen, so you can cook what you buy at nearby supermarkets. It is a very convenient location, about 10 minutes on foot to Heiwa Park, and there is also a convenience store and supermarket nearby. Above all, I want you to enjoy the atmosphere of the building. We'd love for you to experience the old-fashioned Japanese buildings that have been well cared for.
