Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". It has generous reception space (the house has been described as swallowing you up) including a grand drawing room with antique furniture & a large open fire, a huge dining kitchen with views over the Forth & a cosy TV room with a large sofa ideal for curling up and watching films. The main bedroom has a king size luxury bed with a special mattress ( gel , body tempera regulating memory) bed and the second bedroom has one single bed and a smaller (183CM) bed (recommended for children only) There is one free parking space at the front door.

Peaceful and homey self-contained accommodation - a separated annexe to our home. It is on the outskirts of Dunbar but within walking distance (~25 mins). Tucked behind new housing but your back garden is private. We are close to beautiful beaches and golf courses. Fresh milk, butter, cereals, coffee and something to toast are provided. Ideal for exploring the Lothians /Northumbria, or to just chill. Farm track road so please note the lower end of the road is prone to potholes in sections.

It has 2 double bedrooms, one of which is a twin and the other set up as king size but can be made into another twin on request.
