Welcome to Dee Dee’s Place, a STR by S & J Sports, your cozy retreat for a peaceful getaway, just S of Newberry with two bdrm & 1 bath. . Sleeping area includes a queen bed, set full bunk beds, & a single day bed. In add the couch pulls out to provide add sleeping space. There is also fold away beds on site. Enjoy modern comforts of home with forced air heat, air cond, electric f place. stay connected with wireless inter & keep your wardrobe fresh with our washer/dryer. Access trail on CR 457.

Many great attractions close by like Tahquamenon Falls, Garlyn Zoo, and Oswald Bear Ranch. Bar & Grill restaurant located right near the end of the street on M28 - quick ride or 7 minute walk! Dollar General located half a mile away, and only a 5-10 minute drive into town for more (gas, groceries, and restaurants).

Marie, Munising, Grand Marias, Kitch-iti-kipi "natural spring" and less to Upper Tahquamenon Falls brewery and Lower falls, Paradise shipwreck museum and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Home is fully stocked with all the essentials and more including games and boot dryers.

Nestled within 200+ acres of hardwood and pine forest lies beautiful Halfway Lake, a 65 acre private non-motor lake. Our modern cottages offer a secluded getaway with the conveniences of home. Centrally located in Michigan’s Eastern Upper Peninsula, Halfway Lake Cottages provides an ideal focal point to major attractions such as Tahquamenon Falls , Pictured Rocks, The Soo Locks, and Oswald’s Bear Ranch. This area is known for some of Michigan’s best fishing, rock hounding and snowmobiling.

You’ll be surrounded by wildflowers and the sounds of nature while amenities are only a 5 minute car ride away. Enjoy a hot cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the screened in porch attached to the cabin. There’s a fire pit right out front with firewood available on premise. Relax and destress.

Escape to Hidden Falls Cabin, tucked inside a secluded 14 acres of pristine, hardwood, Upper Peninsula forest. Watch the stars appear in the sky above. Accessible from a private, dirt road, Hidden Falls feels like a little slice of Heaven in the middle of nowhere, all while being just miles north of Newberry, MI and 90 minutes from the Mackinac Bridge. State trails are accessible across the street from the cabin itself. No need to drive to hit the trails!

Great location for snowmobilers! the trail is 2 blks away from our cozy rustic two-bedroom home in the village. A great home base for adventure in any direction. Tahquamenon falls, whitefish point lighthouse and shipwreck museum, pictured rocks, Kitch-iti-kipi (the big spring, Oswald's bear ranch, sault Sainte Marie, Mackinac Island. or many other things along the shoreline or The UP has to adventure.

The Cabin

Our cabin is conveniently located directly across from the groomed snowmobile trail. Centrally located for easy access to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rocks, the Soo Locks, and Oswald's Bear Ranch. Midway between Lakes Superior and Michigan with many inland lakes. New flooring and a full size fold out couch were added in the beginning of 2025. We can now accommodate 5-6 guests.
