Beachfront farm

Fogensegaarden near Bogense has an unusual location for an old farm. A few meters from the beach on the island of Fogense, which was dammed and the road into Bogense drained and protected by a dike almost 150 years ago. An enterprising farmer, Christian Jensen, built the farm 130 years ago in its current form with a large farmhouse and a humble tenant housing at the southern end. It is the main house, which after several modernizations is now rented out in the coming season to holiday guests.

The location is close to the sea and sandy beach - with a view of the forrest and fields belonging to the protected manor house Hagenskov. A perfect place to explore the local foods and nature of Fyn, Helnæs, Faaborg and Assens. Relax in front of the fireplace outside in the evening - and explore the nature on bikes or by foot in the daytime. We will be happy to guide you.

Stay close to the beach, the Johannes Larsen Museum and the city. The apartment is separate in an extension of the main house. Kitchen with dining area and private (retro) bathroom. Cozy annexe, situated beautifully at Ollerup lake. The annex was built in 2021 with raw brick walls and wooden ceilings, which gives a very special atmosphere. There is a new 140x 200cm bed in the living room, as well as a loft with the possibility of 2 overnight guests. There is a private entrance, large wooden terrace and access to Ollerup lake and garden. You can borrow a rowing boat. Kitchen: There are two hotplates, fridge with small freezer, fully equipped kitchen.

Ideal beach cabin for anglers, ornithologists and nature lovers. Broholm is situated in a natural area at Odense Fjord, 4 meter to the waterfront, within walking distance to bird sanctuary and only 300 meters from Otterup Marina. At Bogøhus (landlords house) there is the possibility to buy seasonal organic vegetables and fruits grown on their own grounds/ greenhouses. In additional, there is the possibility of cleaning/ freezing caught fish.
