A bright and airy converted former blacksmiths adjacent to our house with wood burner, bedroom with king sized bed, a mezzanine bedroom with sofa bed (accessed via steep steps so not suitable for infants or elderly), open plan living room and kitchenette and bathroom (with shower). Kids and pets welcome. We welcome groups of up to 6 BUT RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 4 ADULTS for max comfort. 150 yds from the Red Lion known for its real ales and within easy walking distance of the thatched Half Moon

The Hayloft

Relax with the family in this peaceful slice of heaven. Set at the end of a single lane track, it is a truly idyllic spot. Wildlife in abundance including deer, hare, owls and other large birds of prey. The property is on our small farm where we keep our horses, chickens, geese and ducks. We are close to Hedingham Castle, only 3 mins by car. Great for attending a wedding! It’s a 10 minute walk to the village of Gestingthorpe with its award winning pub The Pheasant offering drinks and great food.

In the pleasant village of Great Waldingfield, with a pub, village shop, and close to Sudbury (3 miles), Lavenham (4 miles), Bury St. Edmunds(16 miles). We live next door so are happy to help with directions and what to do in the area.

The Stables is a 1600’s, Grade II listed farm building recently sympathetically restored with many original features and exposed Oak beams retained to offer a couple a chance to get away from it all and enjoy beautiful countryside in the comfort and luxury of a beautiful little cottage. Alternatively, there is boating on the nearby river Stour, or just enjoying a drink at one of the country pubs along its route.
