Sit out in the backyard then come indoors to relish leafy views from a triple-aspect living room. The apartment has a cottage feel with window boxes and wooden fittings. A hanging plant, and white linens provide a calming feeling. Awake to the songs of birds and explore our 1/2 acre of fruit trees, vegetable beds, and landscape. Yet most of San Diego’s attractions are just 5 to 10 miles away. The new kitchen is included in your space so you can prepare your own meals if desired. Cooking equipment included are a convection toaster oven, coffee maker, hot pot, a microwave, and an induction plate, pots & pans, kitchen tools, cutlery and dishes. We also provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, cooking oil, and ice. This space is attached to our main home but you’ll have your own separate entrance and private kitchen/ living, bed and bath. We'd love to greet you and show you around when you arrive, but if we happen to miss you will have your own unique door code to get in. We’ve prepared a binder of information for guests and can help you plan for best use of your time. However if you prefer to be on your own we’re fine with that too. We have walked to downtown or to the nearest trolley, but unless you are walkers and out for exercise, you will probably want a car. There are now lots of bikes available for rent, but it will be uphill to get back to the house. Some of our guests have chosen to rely only on Uber, in which case grocery and/or meal delivery are helpful. If you have an afternoon or evening flight you are welcome to store luggage at our house after your 10 AM check out. We are in a hilly residential area with stores, restaurants and bus/ trolley access about 2 miles away, so you'll have the most flexibility if you come by car. If you choose to Uber, you can order groceries or takeout meals to be delivered.

the main house is a spanish style house located in a beautiful country like setting, it was built in the 1930's, i rescued it remodeled the whole house and the additional granny flat that is now this beautiful farm type house with wonderful design and actual modern adaptations such as air conditionong, all fresh design, a laundry section and a comfortable setup is the result of this, as the pictures tell. the main house has a front patio with ample parking and also a mid section that walks us to the back section where this Glam Farmhouse dream cottage sits, the house patios have several seating areas in front middle and back patios of the house, has a calm beautiful feeling for our guests to enjoy, you can sit and enjoy outdoor breakfast in one of out tables, cook a grill or simply sit and enjoy the back canyon view! we constantly do all of them.. and welcome you to do the same..

Relax with the friends & family at this peaceful place to stay. If you don’t want to drive it’s close to the trolley that takes you all over the county; downtown, shopping, convention center, and stadiums. 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, 25 min to beaches, and 45 min to the mountains. Relax on the front porch with drinks or eating at the bistro table, the front yard is fenced for kids to play, and WiFi. There is a playpen upon request. Rhett the desert tortoise awaits! This house is perfect for a private get away. There is a patio bar & a large picture frame window that commands the best views in the area. Sit & enjoy the large patio right off the entryway to the house. I have been told our home used to be a chicken coop in the 50-60's. It is far different now, we just finished a complete remodel. Everything is updated, upgraded & ready for you. Being on the top of the hill you get the nice views, but sounds carries as well, please respect the neighbors.
