Riverwood Hideaway

This OFF-GRID, solar powered hideaway is on the Knife River just a few miles outside of Two Harbors, Minnesota. THERE IS NO RUNNING WATER and LIMITED ELECTRICITY. WE DO HAVE WI-FI. The kitchen has a propane refrigerator and gas oven/stove. Solar power is used for lights and some outlets. Propane fireplace / furnace for heat. The "bathroom" is an outhouse. You bring jugs of drinking water. Hand and dish wash water provided. We supply coffee with pour over utensils, dishes, spices and firewood.

Privacy abounds with over 7.5-acres featuring a babbling creek, winding path through towering trees, and over 200' of shoreline. Built in 1955, the cottage has been meticulously renovated, inside and out, to highlight original features and the exceptional surroundings. Take your pups swimming in the lake, enjoy a backyard bonfire, venture out for seasonal activities, or stay in and admire the views!

Enjoy 200 ft of private lakeshore while staying in this spacious and serene home with sweeping views of Lake Superior. The Järvi cabin is one of the brand new cabins on the lake at Stay Boreal between Lutsen and Tofte. Featuring full frontal glass overlooking the lake, heated floors, a patio space with a gas firebowl, free level 2 EV charging and even a treehouse sauna. We can't wait to share it with you! This cabin comfortably suits two with a capacity of up to four (1 king bed and 1 murphy style queen bed). It has a smaller, cozy layout.

One story, quaint country home with enclosed sun porch, kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Close to Lake Superior, Superior Hiking Trail, North Shore snowmobile trail and the City of Two Harbors. There is a futon in the living room that can be used as a second bed. Go for a walk on a beautiful country road or sit and enjoy the tranquility of the woods as you sit by your campfire!
