Its name is both a nod to Bird Island on Strangford Lough and a reflection of our aim to create a cosy nest in which guests feel snug, comfy and relaxed. Sitting on the shores of the Irish Sea, Keeper’s Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to walk, beachcomb, birdwatch and explore. Close to the villages of Portaferry, Cloughey and Strangford, the area is rich in wildlife and heritage. Or just relax by the fire and soak up the magic of this unique place. Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.

We are situated in Greyabbey village in walking distance of the wedding venue Orange Tree, Antique shops, eateries, beautiful Strangford Lough, The Abbey ... ideally situated to explore the Ards Peninsula. Breakfast is available from mid November 2023 downstairs in Olive from 9am to 11am Wednesday-Sunday.
