You will stay in a simple but charming miller's house of a historic watermill, surrounded by a spacious property in the small village of Viez in Mecklenburg. Right outside the door are hiking trails through forest, fields and to the Viezer Heide, which blooms pink in summer. Schwerin and Ludwigslust offer sights such as castles and museums. Several bathing lakes, one with a water ski facility, offer sporting variety in summer. In winter, a wood-fired barrel sauna directly on the stream beckons.

Here, the clocks tick a little slower: Our lovingly renovated half-timbered house is located on the outskirts of Sumte, surrounded by meadows, fields and the unique landscape of the Elbe floodplain. Look forward to sunsets from the terrace, relaxing hours in the garden sauna and plenty of space for spending time with friends or family. The Elbe, Lake Sumter and numerous bike paths are only minutes away. If you like, you can discover the Elbe floodplain on an alpaca walk with our neighbor.

From the apartment to the nearest swimming facility in Lake Schwerin, it takes 3 minutes on foot... to the castle you can reach on a beautiful shore path in 20 minutes and the city center is not much further. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful... there is a small forest within a 3-minute walk. The apartment is cozy and spacious (120 square meters)... there is also a second toilet (not pictured).You have a terrace and can barbecue in the garden. Heating/hot water are guaranteed.

The small town of Hagenow lies between the "Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve" and the "Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve", and the cities of Ludwigslust and Schwerin can also be reached quickly by train. In front of the Schwerin gates is our over 100-year-old residential building with adjoining new building with two individually designed apartments. The "Gardenview" is suitable for both business and individual travelers. It is located on the 2nd floor and offers a light-flooded living room with a king-size bed, desk and small dining area with high chairs. An adjoining kitchen, as well as a separate shower room complete the apartment with garden views.

Haus is located in a very quiet location in the Schaalsee Biosphere Reserve. It is 10 km to Lake Schaalsee, 5 km to Lake Neuenkirchen, to the Baltic Sea 50 km (traffic jam-free!!!). The house can be started directly to bike rides, on adjacent hiking trails. On the very natural property there is also a swimming pond. The house is very bright and quiet. I also paint there and write and so there is a large easel available. Pets have generous time.

My place is close to Schwerin, right on a swimming lake. The apartments are located in a listed half-timbered house with old trees and a 15,000 m² garden and courtyard. Both apartments have a separate entrance. The location is ideal as a starting point for excursions but cannot be reached by public transportation. There is no Wi-Fi!
