The Wren House: Close to Lake

The Wren House is within walking distance of local lakeside attractions such as PM Park; the Tiki Bar; and the Ritz beach, shelter house and boat ramp (lake access that's much less crowded than city and state beach). Its only a 3 minute drive to Clear Lake State Park's trails, beach and picnic areas and less than 10 minutes to get downtown to spend time at the seawall, city beach, restaurants, bars and shopping. The cottage is quaint but very comfortable and stocked with all the trip essentials

Our place is close to everything! A 5-10 minute drive to just about anything in town. Newbo District and downtown are 5 min by car and 15 min on a bike. The bike path is 1/2 mile from the house and easily accessible. You will enjoy the quiet wooded location of this completely renovated "cozy" 500 Sq. Ft. one bedroom cottage. Prime Bald Eagle • Wildlife Lake House Retreat

Little House on the Lake sits along one of Iowa’s most active bald eagle corridors, with frequent sightings right from the windows and deck. Our shoreline’s tall trees and the open water near Mehaffey Bridge attract both resident and migrating eagles all winter. Adults show their classic white heads, while juveniles appear larger and brown as they develop. Winter months bring especially high activity as northern lakes freeze and the birds gather here to fish.

The Lincoln Highway Hideaway is a studio apartment nestled in Belle Plaine along the historic Lincoln Highway. A former Maid Rite restaurant, it features two queen-sized beds, a 3/4 bathroom with shower, and private parking. It was originally built for the owners' parents and is universally accessible including extra wide doors, fully accessible kitchen and roll-in shower.
