Beautiful shepherds hut powered by solar for an off grid experience along the Wild Atlantic Way situated on Connemara farm land located 20 minutes from Galway city and 10 minutes from Oughterard and Lough Corrib. Sleeps 3 with a double bed and a single bed. Kitchenette with running water and gas hob, separate fire pit/BBQ area and outhouse with toilet, sink and heated shower. There is a small wood burning stove in the Shepherds hut with kindling provided. Towels and bedding are also provided.

The Thatch

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Some "must sees" Ross Errily Friary in Headford an early monastic ruin. Some lovely walks "Knockma" - hill walk, Inismacatreer a lake side walk and Cong's Ard na Gaoithe. Our home is a great base for touring Connemara. Galway city is just 20km away with a host of wonderful site seeing opportunities and fabulous restaurants. Galway's iconic Blackrock diving tower is a must for sea swimmers and of course home to some fabulous restaurants
