There are plenty of good restaurants in the surrounding area, from bar food to fine dining. Hiking in the Catskills is abundant, with routes of differing ranges of difficulty. Summer brings festivals, while winter brings snow activities. There's a bus stop in Woodstock if you don't drive and taxi service from there. It's fine if you plan to stay in, but if you want to get around to other places it's best to drive. We have a several flyers and local magazines in the foyer for ideas on where to go and what to see. On the door are the basic guidelines and on the desk is a binder of information on local restaurants, stores, ect... If you need other resources please feel free to ask. The Casita is a studio apartment comfortable for solo travellers, couples or just two folks who don't mind sharing a bed! We’ve endeavored to make it a comfortable stay for a weekend or even longer, with all basic amenities, a queen size bed, standing shower bathroom, and kitchenette. Although it is an apartment on the ground floor of my house, you will have your privacy with a separate entrance off of the driveway which is for guest use during the stay.
