Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

Downstairs, the finished basement offers a king bedroom, a second full bathroom, a large rec room with 55" TV, a futon, a game area with table and chairs, a laundry room, and a dedicated work area.

Our space is in a small but fantastic town, perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Rensselaer's unique art scene is renowned; check out over two dozen murals that grace our revitalized downtown. Play disc golf at Brookside Park-we have discs for guests' use! Our listing fee is what it is-no separate "cleaning fee." We'll always leave you with homebaked goodies, & make sure there are farm fresh eggs in the fridge. Mimi's Country Cottage

Quaint, quiet and cozy cottage set in a tranquil park like setting with all the amenities of home. Ten minutes to Shades State Park and twenty minutes to Turkey Run State Park. A great place to stay for the Covered Bridge Festival. 15 minutes to Wabash College, 25 minutes to DePauw University, 45 minutes to Purdue. We live on site and our back door is approximately 600 ft. from from the Airbnb. At this time we do not allow pets. We clean the cottage in accordance with CDC guidelines.
