Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

Newly built, secluded 2 bedroom, 2 bath lakehouse on multiple wooded acres nestled between Kennekuk County Park & Kickapoo State Park. Sleeps six (2 bedrooms with 2 queen beds plus pull-out couch). Access Kickapoo mountain bike trails from the property. Spend your time in complete privacy, swimming or paddling kayaks & canoes down the mile-long Crooked Lake, playing on the private dock and dockside Lillypad (floating water mat), relaxing in the hottub, or making s’mores around the firepit.

Our space is in a small but fantastic town, perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Rensselaer's unique art scene is renowned; check out over two dozen murals that grace our revitalized downtown. Play disc golf at Brookside Park-we have discs for guests' use!
