“We had a wonderful stay at Pachinko!!! We got lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy lazy afternoons and sunsets out in the field, with a great view of the mountains in the distance. The cabin itself is quite small (obviously) but the space is optimized really well and we felt we had everything we needed. John was extremely responsive whenever we had a question. This is definitely a rustic experience but we are avid campers, so we loved it. Plenty of water provided, as well as a few dishes, a sink station, battery-powered lantern, grill, compost toilet, record player, books, guitar (I think!), and a couple of lounge chairs up on the hill. Wish we were still there!!!!!”

“We had a fantastic stay at Laurence and Ilze's place. We were welcomed on arrival by a fire (wood-fired stove) already set and warming the place. It was a lovely way to start our very relaxing stay. The place is well laid out, with lots of space for everyone. We were 2 adults and 2 children but the house could easily accommodate 3 couples. There are three different areas for relaxing - living room with fire, sunroom with views out to the garden and sitting area off the kitchen. The beds are extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. Thanks to the books and brochures in the house, we found three excellent short hikes to do during our stay. We'd love to come back in summer and autumn.”

“Our family (two adults and children ages 5 and 8) truly enjoyed our stay at Bill’s place in Kinderhook. It’s such a lovely carriage house on working vegetable farm. We used the pool each day of our weekend and that was such a nice addition to have. Bill welcomed us with items stocked in the refrigerator as well as some pantry items for us to snack on. The carriage house is so nice and larger in person than it looked in the photos. We slept comfortably and enjoyed our day trips to Hudson, Athens, Chatham and Valatie. There’s so much to do in the immediate area and plenty of eating places too. Mother Nature took the power out while we were staying at the carriage house and Bill was so responsive and extremely helpful in accommodating us. It was a great trip and we will be back again. Give this quaint place a try and it won’t disappoint.”
