Step under a pair of moose antlers and enter a serene world without cellphone reception. Swing in a hanging log chair and have a BBQ on a screened-in porch with views of a pond. Borrow a canoe and go paddling on nearby lakes and rivers. At Camp Arden, we follow Airbnb’s and the CDC's recommended enhanced cleaning protocols.
“This place is really special. If you're lucky enough to see an availability — book it. It really couldn't have been a better retreat into nature and to get the most out of a summer trip up to the Adirondacks. The entire place was immaculate and looked even better in person than in the pictures. The cabin is decorated with quirky rustic furniture (that I believe the hosts make themselves) and a little history of the Adirondacks and the grounds (camp Arden). Sitting out in the enclosed porch watching the sunset over the campground's private lake makes you feel like your died and went to heaven. There's a beautiful, secluded hiking trail beyond the porch, across a little bridge where you can go deep in the forest and possibly see moose and beavers in the ponds. There's also an outdoor firepit to yourself. We didn't partake in any swimming or fishing in the lake, but that is available to guests as well. Amazing place that we'll certainly try to come back to again the next time we're in the Adirondacks.”

“This place was just what we needed after 3 days of camping. 10 minutes from Lake Placid and from Saranac Lake, a lot of hiking, fishing, dining and walking around Lake Placid. Everything was sparkling clean, nicely decorated and relaxing. It was a lot bigger than we thought it would be and had everything we needed!! We cooked and sat by the fire pit and also ate in Lake Placid and local spots (tail o the pup and the pinecone ice cream). We will be back!”
We have a lovely new home in the amazing Adirondack Park of New York State. We have a panoramic view of the Adirondack Mountains and live in a quiet, safe neighborhood close to Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Paul Smiths College. Come and enjoy!
“We kicked off a week-long trip (mostly backcountry camping) by staying with Pat and Paul. The location is very convenient and the accommodations are super comfortable, beautiful, and clean. We truly loved getting to chat with the hosts (and meet/play with Gracie the dog) and it felt like visiting new friends. A perfect start to our trip.”
