Pluck a pot from the rack on the exposed brick wall and cook up a storm at this cool, contemporary pad with clean lines and intricate period molding. Checkerboard floors, white Eames chairs, and elegant arched windows create a mix of old and new.
“Cos's apartment is the best Airbnb apartment we have stayed in. It is large, very stylish in an industrial fashion and has all of the amenities one could reasonably hope for. We didn't cook, but the kitchen was well set up to do so. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower, which is in the bedroom, worked well and had good water pressure. There is a coffee machine, filled with fresh beans, and clear instructions on how to use all of the amenities. There is also a helpful suggested 3 day itinerary for Berlin and guide books to use whilst at the flat. The wifi and Netflix worked well as did the Washer, though this is not in the apartment itself, but in a locked cupboard down a flight of stairs. It is exclusive use for the apartment though, so a minor inconvenience only. The apartment is on the first floor of a walk-up block well located a flat 300m walk from the underground station (15 mins and 5 stations from Alexanderplatz; 30 mins to Brandenburg Gate). It is self check in - you collect the keys from an internet café around the corner, which worked smoothly - and there are 2 flights of stairs to carry bags up. Don't be fooled by the grafitti outside the entrance door or the worn carpet on the stairs, as the apartment itself is finished to a high standard. Kruezberg is an interesting suburb, with a blend of Turkish immigrants, students, young families and a broad range of 'gentrifiers'. If you are turned off by graffiti and a bit of grunge, it may not be for you, but we really enjoyed the vibrancy of the area and we are Gen X'ers. Given the generally younger crowd, there is some late night noise and nightclub music. The bedroom is at the back of the apartment, so street noise is limited, but the music can be heard until late at times. There are many good cafes and restaurants in the area. Cos thoughtfully has left a list of many of these along with his recommendations. The Greek restaurant, Kreuzberger Weltlaterne in particular was excellent and only 5 mins walk. The Korean BBQ and Sushi places were also very good. There is a Turkish market in the street outside the apartment every Tues and Fri, which is well worth a look. Cos's communication was always prompt and helpful. We didn't meet him, but he is clearly thoughtful and very organized. Thanks Cos for a great 5 nights in Berlin - we would definitely stay at your place again and have no hesitation in recommending others do so.”
Very nice, bright loft space in the vibrant area of Kreuzberg. The apartment is based in the 5th floor and from the window you can see the famous TV Tower of Berlin. The apartment is well decorated, has a full kitchen and everything you need, to feel comfortable for your stay in Berlin.
“Our stay was unbelievable. - Super easy checking - super secure place with super easy parking, and outstanding Organic shop, and Sudanese fast food nearby - quick walk to the award-winning Sonnenallee area - massive leg workout thanks to the stairs :-) The apartment is a DREAM. Mega clean. Mega bright. Mega silent. Mega spacious. It is MUCH bigger than what you can imagine on the pictures. The big pink fluffy thing on the ground is super stylish and we used it with passion. The amenities are outstanding, and although we did not use them, there were plenty of spices, coffees, teas . . . a powerful over, and super nice and clean microwave oven. The bed was MEGA comfy, super thick and warm and the heating system was super powerful. The bathroom's cleanliness made it a true pleasure to stay clean. Can't thank Caroline enough for her guidance, and providing DOZENs of amazing locations to enjoy nearby. Will definitely come soon for longer durations.”
The apartment is a converted former plumber shop in Kreuzberg
“Franz gave this place a personal, artisan touch with custom made furniture. The bed was very comfortable with high quality mattress and linen. You don’t often get that in an Airbnb. The bedroom is towards the back of the apartment, so you don’t hear the street. If you enjoy good coffee, you’re in for a treat cause Franz stacked the kitchen with a coffee maker and espresso. I can tell travelers concerned about Covid that the place was sparkling clean. Franz is a really cool guy and I can’t wait to be a guest at his bar once it’s allowed to reopen”
