Hawkhill, an idyllic and secluded out of the city getaway. Hike on 30 acres. New hydronic electric heat, new wood stove, and large windows. Snuggle by the fire and watch the wildlife. Driveway access all year. Trails to the pond, the creek, and a small waterfall. Oneonta 15 minutes away. Cooperstown 45 minutes. Private, yet civilization is a short drive away. An amazing second story deck that faces only trees. Watch bald eagles overhead and hear hawks call. A peaceful slice of heaven.
“We had such a wonderful time staying at Gail & Chris’ A frame! We loved the interior design - the home is full of carefully curated antique furniture, interesting books, and a wide range of beautiful artwork adorns the cabin walls. Beautiful large windows bring the outside in and a huge walk-out deck literally makes you feel like you live in a treehouse! The property is gorgeous and we enjoyed daily hikes to the waterfall, bird watching and dining al fresco on the porch, paddle boarding on the pond, and curling up in front of the wood stove in the evenings. Gail & Chris were perfect hosts - they’re super fun, communication was always clear, and they had great advice about the area and fun things to do. We can’t wait to return to this magical place! Best, Eric & Luca”
New home, loft style sleeping. In the Catskill Region. Close to Oneonta and Cooperstown baseball camps. East Sidney Recreation Park is right across the road; swimming & beach area, boat access, picnic areas and fishing.
“An idyllic setting across from East Sidney Lake and just a few miles from the historic village of Franklin. I loved everything about this charming retreat. The decor was elegant and the accommodations were spotless and well-equipped for your every need. The host was very thoughtful in stocking the kitchen and bathroom with everything you would require to make your stay comfortable. And everything was done and arranged with an absolutely elegant, one could say even, European, touch. There were various settings for reflection inside as well as outside on the property including a woodland nook, a backyard barbecue and table with benches, as well as a lovely Adirondack chair (red!) on the front lawn to relax. Especially appealing to me was the frog chorus that warmed my heart as I sat and mused about life. It's a stone's throw from East Sidney Lake and is what makes this vacation spot a peaceful and charming respite, so bring your kayak. I was filled with a sense of calm in this Catskill retreat and I recommend it highly.”

“This was my very first stay at an Airbnb. I can simply say that it exceeded all of our expectations in every single regard. To list all the amazing attributes of Kirstin's and Ben's Sunrise Suite would be a tall order, so I will just describe a few of the many highlights: (1) Genuine welcoming spirit of the host and her family: Kirstin and Ben are a super warm young couple. Kirstin responded within minutes to all of our several inquiries via messaging and text with clarity and courtesy, and accommodated every single one of our needs. Our stay was so relaxing and rejuvenating, that our 5yo son begged to stay an extra night, which my wife and I were also craving. Kirsten immediately granted our request. (She even gave Jojoe colored chalk to draw on the driveway !) (2) The attention to detail: There are too many nice amenities to list. The well-stocked Keurig, the uplifting messages around the room and on the coffee mugs, the fire starter sticks for the fire pit, wide range of cutlery/silverware/cooking utensils, and generous supply of plush towels are just a few of them. (3) The quality and feel of the space: The hosts clearly invested a lot of thought and care in designing and maintaining this suite. We have traveled quite a bit over the last few years (Caribbean, Hawaii, Italy), and the Sunrise Suite rivals 4&5 star resorts in its amenities and nice touches. From the top-end dishwasher and in-unit washer and dryer, everything has a precise fit, which makes movement within the rooms and utilization of space fluid and unencumbered. The king-sized bed is placed directly underneath two large skylights, which filter in sunlight and blue sky to start your day off on a heavenly note. Best of all, the property is located on 12 acres of manicured land, with an AMAZING fire pit at the very top of a hill which offers expansive views of the valley below. We could go on further, but it's simply sufficient to say that Kirstin and Ben's Sunrise Suite will definitely be on the top of our list for future weekend getaways !”
