Olalla Bay Getaway is at the waters edge, just 45 minutes from Seattle via ferry or 10 minutes to Gig Harbor. The ever-changing views of the occasional seals, otters, porpoises, and eagles. The sound of waves and birds makes the perfect soundtrack for your getaway. Enjoy relaxing on a sun filled deck or check out the porch swing-perfect for a good book, glass of wine or a nap after your days adventure. Included in your stay are: kayaks, paddle board wood fire pit & propane fire table.

Westside Cabin

Our place is just a few miles from the Fauntleroy/Vashon ferry terminal, and minutes from the town of Vashon. Tucked snuggly on the West side of the island, the cabin looks west over Colvos Passage. The cabin itself is essentially a spacious studio-- one large room with a loft, a small kitchen, and bathroom. A queen size bed is in the loft, and the couch comfortably sleeps one person. The bathroom has a large clawfoot soaking tub, and there is an outdoor shower. It is extremely cozy!

Waterfront Escape Vashon Island

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis on Vashon Island. This 90 year old cabin on Puget Sound sits right on the waterfront. The home has been updated several times throughout its lifetime and is an idyllic peaceful escape. The home sits on Fern Cove and is brimming with wildlife. In order to access the house you must utilize multiple flights of stairs to get down to the house and waterfront; there are also stairs in and around the property. The home is not ADA accessible.

The Creamery

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.

We are also close to Hwy 16, which takes you across Hood Canal to the Olympic Peninsula, for great day-trips to this spectacular part of the state. We are located across the from Banner Forest Heritage Park, a 636-acre wildlife preserve which included miles of biking and walking trails.
