“Rita's place was absolutely amazing! The Villa was spotless, stylishly decorated and incredibly comfortable. The view was amazing and we had a really lovely evening - Rita was excellent at communicating changes to us. Thanks so much Rita!”
Whale song is an escape on the edge of the ocean where pacific gulls call and the roar of the ocean fills the air. Our little shack is a sanctuary of peace and calm, perfectly suited for 2, Whale Song can accommodate up to two extra guests upon request. Located in the sleepy hamlet of Falmouth, a stunning, secluded part of the East Coast of Tasmania.
“We could just gush about this place! The location is truly beautiful and we never got tired of looking at the view. Although there are some houses around you'll never see anyone as the position of the house and garden mean you get privacy. Listening to waves at night and smelling the sea was incredibly restorative. The house has been so beautifully decorated, it is warm and inviting and has everything you'll need. We found ourselves playing board and cards games instead of watching TV and had lots of quiet moments just contemplating the ocean view. There are coffee table books, novels and magazines to peruse, the kitchen has every cooking and serving item you'll need. As well as tea and coffee you'll find herbal tea, drinking chocolate and marshmallows. The downstairs lounge is so incredibly beautiful and has every sized cushion and throw you'll need to make yourself comfortable. The beach has lots of shells to fossick through, as well as rock pools and a quiet path to follow along the coastline. We did a shop before we arrived in Falmouth and then did a top-up shop in St Helen's at the Bay of Fires IGA. Swims in Scamander has great coffee too. The local area is great for surfing as well, with the right conditions Falmouth and Four Mile Creek being two favourites.”
Whilst we are a little off the beaten track, many day trips are available from this central spot, ideal as a base for the entire east coast. Fully self contained accommodation in the style of a yurt, for a relaxing stay. ,Settle back and enjoy the walks along the beach, watch the stars at night from the deck. Maybe you would just like a place to unwind, read a book, relax, hopefully you will find it here. A step back in time with a cosy home away from home feel.
“Welcoming, friendly, comfortable, homely, unique and warm, Peter's little house has a big heart. Make some time to spend looking at the art, books, collectables and games Peter has carefully and sweetly placed in this little paradise. All the amenities are there. Great for a rainy day!!! The beach is a very close walk. Pristine beaches beckon a sunset stroll and birdsong serenades you in the morning. The Milky Way was like a brilliant light show at night. Don't hesitate to stay if this is your kind of hospitality. Thanks Peter. It was unforgettable. We will be back.”
