2016 Finalist in the Tasmanian Tourism Awards- Recycle and re purpose with creativity and style is the mantra at the container. A recycled shipping container renovated to a luxury standard utilising local eclectic materials. A one bedroom getaway with a king size bed, french flax linen, organic breakfast hamper supplied, mini bar stocked with Tassie wines, pre packed meals and a wood fire. (Note: we have another accommodation "The Trig Studio" and "The Space" if "The Container" is booked out)
“The container was everything we could wish for and more! The space was so beautiful, and being able to wake up and look at the sheep on the hill, overlooking the view, immaculate. We did a puzzle, played chess, and danced the night away with the amazing record collection. Also loved how it was an option to purchase bubbles and food onsite. Truly outstanding place and can’t wait to come back.”
Looking for a home away from home? A place to rest and rejuvenate that is close to the city (10 minutes to the CBD) but surrounded by nature, her silence and peaceful sounds?
“We have enjoyed our stay at Mieke's. The place has all the creature comfort we needed: very comfortable bed for a restful sleep, silence, fully equipped kitchen (no microwave oven, but it was not missed), clean bathroom amenities, and a warm welcome. We will certainly stay here again when we visit Hobart again. Next time, we'll make the best of our stay and take on the walking tracks of Mount Wellington!”
AERIE retreat. Re open from June 15. A private designer apartment in the bush by the water. Walk down to the very private Wilderness Deck for exclusive use of the Timber Hot Tub, Sauna and fire pit. Access to the waterfront marine reserve is also exclusively available for our guests. A brilliant spot to stay summer or winter. Watch the winter full moon rise over the ocean from the hot tub and sauna.
“We loved our stay. Braye gave us our privacy but answered any messages promptly. The indoor space was super comfortable with some really good design ideas, but it's the outdoor deck with cedar hot tub, fire pit and sauna down amongst the gum trees overlooking the water where we spent most of our time. Just pick up some groceries at Hill Street Grocer at Blackmans Bay on the way from Hobart, settle in and enjoy the peace.”
