You are renting a century-old homestead house. Bathroom on the main floor, 5 beds upstairs. If you are physically impaired, stairs may be challenging for you. This 2BR lakeside home is perfectly suited for a peaceful and relaxing yet accessible getaway. Beds are provided for sleeping up to 6 people (a queen in the master bedroom and a quad bunk in the second bedroom). A sofa sleeper allows guests alternate sleeping options as well. Part of a rural lake community with easy access to a swimming beach, fishing, kayaking, walking, biking!! A five minute drive into the local town provides easy access to groceries, general goods, and local restaurants.

The main level features two queen bedrooms, a TV room, bath, kitchen and lakeview room overlooking the large, gently sloping yard and lake. Additional sleeping with futons in the TV room and lakeview room. Enjoy brick-paved patio with colorful adirondaks around fire pit, a hammock, horseshoes, ping pong, charcoal grill and picnic table. You have the use of fishing poles, 2 kayaks and a canoe with life vests

Middle Creek Historic Ranch

Step back in time in an 120 year old farm house. Enjoy the view of Flint Hills from the many windows, while the indoors provide you with modern conveniences. Take a walk to the creek, or just roam the Kansas prairies. In the evenings, spend time around the outdoor fire pit, listening to nature and making s'mores. It's a short drive to Strong City and Cottonwood Falls,where you can take in some local history, purchase a few antiques to take home, enjoy a meal at one of incredible eateries.

The "Church" Guesthouse

Come to church this weekend . . . The Church Guesthouse in Cottonwood Falls that is! The Church is an artfully revitalized Presbyterian Church built in 1885 which now has four bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths and will sleep up to 10 adults. Two of the bedrooms ( with queen beds) are downstairs along with a bath and a half downstairs. 2 bedrooms are upstairs (two twins and one with a full size bed) the loft has two twins with a full bath upstairs. Parties and events are not allowed.

Buchman's Stonehorse Inn

Small town with a quiet atmosphere. This inn is very spacious, with lots of character. A large front porch with a comfortable porch swing as well as a patio furniture to have your breakfast, or a glass of wine at the end of the day after hiking the tall grass prairie preserve. This house is decorated with ranch motif, and lots of pictures on the walls from all of our dude ranch events. When you walk in and shut the door you leave all your worries behind.
