Awaken to an idyllic view of trees through timber-framed picture windows. Acclaimed social realist painter Reginald Marsh's family estate is known to be unique for Woodstock with its ball shaped junipers, a pond that brackets the house, expansive lawns, a gathering of birches and 100 year old cone shaped cedar trees. Today the former artist studio of the estate is an architect-renovated gem most recently featured at Icon Design Magazine Italy. The setting with a private waterfall bordering public preserves, as well as the attention to architectural detail is unique.
“The Pond House was an INCREDIBLE getaway and Nin was so warm and easy to communicate with. We stayed here during the covid-19 outbreak and i so appreciated her taking extra precaution to make sure we were practicing all social isolation rules before accepting my booking, as well as sharing her plans for disinfecting the house between guests -- it was so assuring to know we were on the same page, and this made me feel very comfortable given the strange circumstance. And the property the house sits on is GORGEOUS. The views from the master bed (so comfy) was breathtaking -- you literally fall asleep to the stars and wake up birdwatching over the pond from your bed. There are so many treasures to enjoy -- the rock by the waterfall, stream hike, fire pit..... so, so good! :)”

“We spent two weeks at Jaime's home with our small pup and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay from beginning to end. Check in was a breeze and having space for parking was very convenient. The space itself was bright, spacious and airy, while being tucked in the woods made for a serene setting. (We would recommend bringing bug spray because - as we said - you're in the woods. :) The surrounding towns were nice to check out though a bit sleepy because of covid, so we spent a lot of our time on hiking trails which are plentiful in the area! We recommend the Ashokan Rail Trail - especially if you have a bike - and if you can hike up to Kaaterskill Falls - it is worth it! We would go back to Jaime's in heartbeat if we ever have the opportunity again.”

“The house is absolutely breathtaking - overlooking the creek and completely secluded. It was perfect for our group who was desperate to get out of the city and spend some time in nature. We spent our days sitting on the rocks by the creek and our evenings grilling with a beautiful view of the hills. The hot tub was absolutely magical as was the campfire and we were so happy to be at the lodge. The architecture of the house is incredible as well, the big stone stairs wrapping up the center of the house and the loft was so fun to play games in and get a change of scenery. The one thing that the house could use a bit more of are towels and blankets. We ended up going into town to grab hand towels and a few extra bath towels, and a few of the nights were really cold and our group had to negotiate over the extra blankets we found. Overall DEFINITELY not a deal breaker because this house is truly one of a kind, but just a note for future visitors as you plan your packing list. :) We're already talking about when we want to plan another getaway, and are looking forward to visiting the house again in a different season!”
