“WOW. That's all we have to say! Bobbie's place exceeded our expectations. We were looking for somewhere remote, private, and beautiful and found that and then some in Long Eddy! The property and home was gorgeous, much more spacious than we expected, and filled with thoughtful details. It was easy to find, and the surrounding area was lovely, and filled with fun little things to do (while socially distancing!) The Grange is a beautiful, relaxing space -- the photos don't do it justice -- and even on a hot summer day, it was cool and breezy inside. Bobbie and Frank are kind, generous hosts who made us feel at home, and we can't wait to return. Thank you so much Bobbie and Frank!”

“Where do I even begin? Our stay at Nick's place was superb. Not only was the home better than expected but Nick as a host is delightful to chat with and beyond helpful when we needed it. He even helped us change the battery in our faulty rental car. I cannot even begin to express how grateful we were to have him as our host. Our group of 10 with 3 dogs found this place to feel like a home away from home. The pets had plenty of playtime in the yard while we as a group spent most of our time in the red room aka the kitchen. If you plan on cooking during your stay let me just say that you'll have everything you need cookware and utensil wise. Plenty of pots, pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls. One night we even grilled pork-chops over the fire pit outside. We enjoyed movie nights in the blue room where there was plenty of classics on VHS as well as an hdmi cord with extensions to connect a laptop. The music room is fantastic. A few of us play piano, drums, etc and we entertained ourselves with jam sessions and "piano bar" nights. The billiards room was perfect for those of us who like to shoot stick. If you find yourself in need of provisions, the small town of Hancock is only about 5 minutes down the road. You'll find a walgreens, supermarket, liquor store, and even an auto parts shop where we got our replacement battery. There are also plenty of hiking trails that are just a short drive away that can be found with a quick google search. Let me say that the pictures of this place don't do it justice as it is a delight for all the senses. Sunlight filling the individual rooms during the day, the smokey scent of a fire burning in the wood stoves at night. The sound of two streams encompassing the property making its way through an open window as you relax on the cozy moss green velvet couch you'll find in the blue room. If all you end up doing on your trip is relaxing, this home will be perfect to do just that.”
Our rustic cabin is set far off a very seldom travelled mountain road. Nestled in the woods, you will find total peace and relaxation here. The cabin comes with a wood stove, a full vintage gas stove, outdoor shower and a outhouse. You will be the only campers up there, with only fireflies and the Luna Moths as neighbors. The area has great swimming holes, canoeing/kayaking, hiking. The cabin was built by us, with lumber from the land and only hand tools -- we hope you love it as much we do.
“The perfect spot for a remote getaway! We rented Mike and Saira's cabin when we needed to get out of the city but still remain social distant, and we couldn't ask for a better spot. Incredibly quiet and Mike was always available if we needed something. And for those without 4x4 vehicles, don't worry! You can park your car on the side of the road and walk the ~8 mins up the hill to the cabin. It's really no trouble. Thanks again!”
