Charming 1920's Bungalow right down town San Luis Obispo **** Looking for a place to say while running the SLO Marathon?! Our home is 1 a mile from the starting line and is on the route! Great for runners and the supporting cast. It's about a mile and 1/2 walk to the finish line if the team wants to come see you finish. We did this last year. Great event. I grew up in San Luis and probably didn’t really appreciate all it had going for it until we moved away for about 20 years. The Bay Area is nice, but there’s something about the small town vibes of San Luis that keep you from missing the Bay Area traffic. If you’re looking for a quiet get away by a flowing stream, this may not be for you! If you don't mind the typical downtown noise and want the urban downtown experience in a laid back town, in a cute early 1900’s home, then this will definitely work. Here's a few high points. A cute, old house. Early 1900’s. Maybe 1914. A lot of original character. Great old vertical grain doug fir floors. Upgrades – Like a new kitchen. New appliances. Countertops crafted out of 100+ year old barn wood. Forced Air including Air Conditioning. Funny you wouldn’t think you need this in SLO, but downtown can get warm. AC is a plus. Inside laundry center. It’s small, but it’s a nice convenience not usually seen in these old homes. Location – Right downtown! It’s a fantastic launching pad for visiting the city and county of San Luis Obispo. It’s just a 100 steps from the back door to a hip coffee shop – Black Horse. Four blocks to the hippest coffee shop – Scout. A block to the best tri-tip sandwich at Firestone Grill. A great park right around the corner. Great hiking right from the front door. Gus Grocery Sandwiches a nice 3 block walk. Terrace Hill is a 2 mile loop with great views of town. Wineries within 10 minutes. Beach within 15 minutes. Bike from house. Great road and mountain biking trails. Great local restaurants. Farmers Market every Thursday evening. Best Farmer’s Market in California. A block from the house. Bike night follows on the first Thursday of the month. Plenty of parking. If you're familiar with San Luis - or even if you are not! - this is a huge plus. Many of our guests park their car and just walk during their visit to SLO. And if you do need to get out and drive, your parking spot is always there for you when you return, Full House We are always available for questions. We love hiking. If you need hiking companions or tour guides, let us know. We have a few favorite wineries close by. We provide wine tasting passes to one of the local tasting rooms. The property boasts close proximity to downtown San Luis Obispo. The home is also within walking distance of everything the area has to offer including great restaurants, parks, hiking trails, coffee shops, museums, and shopping. Train station is 1/2 mike away. Walk about anywhere. Bike rentals just up the street. Uber, Lyft, taxi's, bus transportation are available. We also have a licensed friend who is part of a company that will drive you to local wineries. Highly recommend letting him be your designated driver. We will send you a complete list of our favorite places. Hiking. Biking. Wineries. Breweries. Restaurants. If you are into mountain biking, let us know. We can point you in the right direction.

This is a very cute studio near cal poly/ downtown San Luis Obispo. The unit is VERY small but comfortable and cozy. It is the back unit of a main house so it is preferred that guests are respectful. The studio has a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast nook, and tv (no microwave and only a small fridge).The bed is lofted and very comfortable. We do our absolute best to try and accommodate the needs of guests while they are staying in the bungalow. We advertise exactly what the unit is.
